CHAPTER 11: WHEN I'M IN HER ARMS, I FORGET ANYONE ELSE EXIST
Juliet isn't dreaming… Is she? Her eyes are closed, she fights to open them but can't… She is nothing but a bundle of sensation and she burns… She can't seem to open her eyes but she feels, she feels so much. This hot sensation is so unsual for her, so incredible to her always icy cold skin. A word is spinning in her head. No, not a word, a name… Romeo….
She can feel him lying on her, between her legs, she can touch him and her eyes fight the darkness. She hears Romeo breathing, blowing burning air across her skin, pushing his lips against every part of her. She is trapped under him and in the dark of her closed eyes, but she knws she's safe. Suddenly, with one swift move, Romeo's entire body shifts. His lips are on Juliet's –warm, full, hard- and his center is pushed against hers –hot, brimful, deep. She cries against his lips, her eyes move like crazy under her lids, her back arching in an incredible bend.
The ache intensifies, engulfing both their bodies. With only their clothes between them, Romeo trust against Juliet's body again. Juliet can't focus, she wants more hands to touch him, she wants more of everything… His name falls from her lips like a prayer, she cannot concentrate on anything. He trust again. And again. And again, without any sign of stopping and Juliet cries out, her knees falling painfully open, trying to fit him –to get him nearer. The kisses never stop, the onslaught making her mad, his lips litterally biting, licking, soothing, stealing hers… His tongue suddenly slip inside her mouth and she's gone. All sensations disapear except for the taste of his tongue inside her. Romeo grabs her chin and forces her lips more open, kissing her heavily.
His hips have stopped moving.
Are we even breathing?
Juliet's lids calm down, her eyes not searching wildly anymore under them. Their whole bodies relax and she can feel her legs falling apart. He is still kissing her… He kisses her like he might die if he stops. When she falls in the dark, he is still kissing her.
Waking up next to Juliet was something entirely different than he had ever known. Waking up at complete peace, complete ease… He knew he should had left. He knew he wasn't supposed to be still here… But something in him couldn't make himself care.
The strangest dream was burning at the back of his mind, like a distant, dreamy memory of her body, of fulfillement… It was mushy, like the dreams he used to have under the drugs, where he couldn't remember what was real or not. What he knew for sure was that he had loved her…
Before even thinking about it, he was kissing her soflty… Her lips, her cheeks, the inside of her wrist where he spent extra time pressing against her pulse. She was sleepy warm and smelled just like she should: of him.
Saturated in her, intoxicated on the thought she was bathed in his scent, he felt his dick hardening and pushing against his jeans, hurting.
With a sigh, he rubbed his face and despite the risk, he decided to borrow her shower for a much needed cold wake up call. Being extra careful, he softly pulled his arm away from under her head and covered her body with the sheets. Walking to her bathroom, taking his jeans away, dropping it on the floor. With a last glance at her behind his shoulder, he decidedly closed the door and stepped inside her shower.
Slowly, Juliet opened her eyes and sighed. She had spent the first good night of sleep in months… In years, if she was honest. She heard the shower running but in her half euphoric, half asleep state, she didn't realized the danger it meant.
Angelica opened the door, looking busy but she suddenly stopped when she heard the shower. Juliet was still in bed. She turned white… They didn't? She rushed to Juliet and slapped her. "Angelica?" the blonde sobbed. "What did you do? Juliet! Are you crazy? Your mom and Rein are coming to your bedroom and the heir of Montague is in your shower?"
Juliet turned white too. "Angelica! Help us! Tell them I'm sick, invent anything! I'm begging you!" Angelica turned her head, shaking it. Juliet joined hands: "Please! Please!" Angelica was furious but couldn't let the situation go worse. She rushed outside, making big noise that Juliet was having a throwing up fit, that she was probably contagious and that the smell was disgusting. As predicted both Isabella and Rein grunted and told Angelica to take care of it and left back in the hall.
Juliet sighed but knew little time was left. She also knew she couldn't bring herself to care… She was smiling up at the ceiling when the door of the bathroom opened cautiously and a cheeky Romeo stepped out.
Regardless of what she was staring at, his hair was wet and dripping down his muscled shoulders from his head. Beads of water clung to his shoulders and chest and glistened off the surface of his tattoos. The contours of sinew, muscle and veins, symmetry and balance, idealized proportion, and classical lines would be breathtaking even to the casual observer. But Juliet was anything but a casual observer, for she had spent the entire night with this very body in her bed, spooning her close and playing with her hair. And this body was attached to a damn fine mind and a very deep, passionate soul.
Nevertheless, Juliet was staring at his physical form, and thus the term aquatic demi-god flitted through her consciousness.
Romeo grinned. "I said good morning, Juliet."
She closed her mouth. "Um, good morning."
He walked over and leaned down, pressing a firm but gentle opened-mouth kiss against her lips. A few droplets of water splashed around her on the sheets. "Did you sleep well?" She nodded slowly, feeling a good deal too warm.
"You're not saying much." He straightened up and smirked at her.
"You're half-naked."
"Right. Would you prefer me wholly naked?" He shifted the towel provocatively on his hips and grinned. Juliet nearly expired in shock.
"I'm just kidding, sweetheart." He kissed her again, with a furrowed brow. She shook her head and looked down. "It' dangerous for you to be here…" "I know. But you were sleeping and I didn't want to leave without saying goodbye."
She blushed. He pecked her lips again and bending down to retrieve his jeans and tshirt he kinda made a show of his body. Going back to the bathroom, he laughed out loud at the astonished face Juliet was making.
When Romeo had dissapeared, Juliet fell back on her pillows and felt her burning face… Romeo was coming out of the bathroom and he tenderly smiled at her sight. … "You look like a sated cat looking like that…" Juliet blushed from head to toe and Romeo laughed. "I don't want you to be embarassed but I can't see myself ever tiring of your blush…" he got on his knees and softly kissed her shoulder. "Baby…" he whispered. Thoughts in his head are rushing in:"Baby is soft spoken, flawless… Baby is mine".
He looked into her eyes and outlout speaks, his lips still touching her skin "You're so fucking soft, sleepy girl…" he nudged her white top's strap away from her shoulder and Juliet's brain went fuzzy again.
Because he smelled fresh, clean, rain, home… He basculated her against her bed, his soft v-neck shirt bunched up between them, against her stomach. He brushed his fingers against her flesh under the top, lightest touch. The were lost in their touch, Romeo's left arm under Juliet's body and around it. Juliet closed her eyes and just held him tight, arms around his shoulders. Last night had changed nothing between them and everything at the same time.
He brushed his thumb over the corner of her mouth and whispered close to her lips "Open, baby…" She parted her mouth for him and his lips touched hers so gently.
And then they jumped apart when Angelica suddenly barged in, banging the door and exclaiming herself very loud "I'm going to help Miss Juliet!".
Her eyes bugged out when she realized Romeo was still there and the position they were in. "What are you doing?" she harshly whispered, furious. Romeo guiltly looked away while Juliet buried herself under her sheets.
Angelica rushed to them and she started to push Romeo out, to the balcony. "Hey, woman… It's cool, I'm leaving!" "Since when are you back? Did you spend the night in? If I ever learned that you ruined her…" "Angelica!" almost screamed Juliet, red as a tomato.
She rushed out of bed and her nurse actually sighed with relief at seeing her young mistress with clothes on her. Thaks God for small mercy. She realized the two lovers didn't even pay her any attention. Standing on the balcony, they were saying goodbyes that must have been the longest in the history. Romeo's hands around Juliet's face, he was simply watching her like she was the whole world and Juliet's face was litterally shining.
Without pointing it exactly, Angelica realized that something had changed between them, a new dynamic that scared her more than anything. They seemed even more intense than usual… But they didn't have any time to develop: Angelica pushed them apart.
"Leave! Come on…" she pushed them apart and Romeo sadly nodded. Just before he left, Juliet caught his hand "Wait…" she whispered, leaving him and Angelica on the balcony and dissapearing back inside her room.
Her nurse was already starting to recriminate that Juliet was back, holding a stach of papers in her trembling hand.
"Because you gave me some words…" she hesitantly handed it to him. Romeo took and and glanced down: it was her drawings. He was in awe at her talent and wished he had more time to fully enjoy it with her but Angelica, exasperated, simply pushed him away and he almost fell over the balcony. "Go!" she almost screamed.
Romeo turned to Juliet and just had time to catch her when she threw herself at him, kissing him with a fury. He tightly smiled at her and they both turned white when Isabella suddenly opened the door and called her daughter. "Juliet!"
Romeo litteraly jumped over the rail and started to get down quickly while Juliet called out to her mother, hidden by the long curtains. She bend down over the rail, sending Romeo one last kiss before she turned back inside, her face set in the usual mask she arbored.
"Juliet! What the hell are you doing, spending all that time on that balcony?" Isabella's face was somber but a false cherryness was all around her. The young girl gave her a curious look: it was usually Rein who was coming to get her in the morning. It had been ages since her own mother graced her with her presence in her bedroom.
Isabella had a tigh smile and turned toward the open door "The Count Paris has arrived to see you…" Paris' fake smile appeared at the door and Juliet blushed, realizing the lack of clothes she was in.
His predatory eyes didn't miss it and she shivered with disgust while feeling his eyes rack themselves on her body. She remembered how drunk he had been that night and the memory of his hands on her almost made her threw up right in front of them. "That would go over very well…" she grimly thought, while descending in the formal curtsy she's been taught.
"Today is my very special day and I'm looking forward to seeing you in the crowd… In the place of honor, of course" Paris said, adressing the last sentence to Isabella who graciously nodded in thanks.
Juliet's heart still beating from Romeo's visit and prompt escape, her brain still a bit fuzzy with sleep, she struggled to understand what was being told to her. The sight of Angelica coming in with The Mute, holding together a beautiful golden dress.
Juliet shivered, suddenly remembering: the long hours of again humiliation with this Faravel bastard, the rebuffade about her weight, all of this to make another dress, a more beautiful, a more stellar… All for the ceremony that would make Paris an official Count. Today.
It had completely slipped her mind.
Paris' face was expectant, Isabella's was scornful and Angelica's terrorised. Juliet, trying to think quickly on her feet, deepened her reverence and, keeping her eyes on the floor, answered in her most modest voice "The pleasure is all mine, Count".
"At least, Rein's lessons can be useful…" she thought while he left with her mother who spared her a satisfied look.
Alone with The Mute and Angelica, Juliet let herself collapse on the bed.
Romeo was officially back. As soon as he left Juliet, he called Mercutio to ask him to meet him at his place.
"What are you talking about, mate?"the bald giant told him. "I'm stuck at the palace, the whole day and let me remind you that you and Ben are supposed to have your asses over there at the same time!"
"Huh?" Romeo didn't have the slightless idea of what his best friend was talking about. He entered by the kitchens, stole an apple from Agines, and quickly climbed the stairs leading to his bedroom, pausing only at his father's doorstep to make sure he was not around. Satisfied, he shouldered open his bedroom while Mercutio was ranting on the phone. "Ro! Didn't you check your emails in the last few days? And when did you come back? Why are you phoning me only now?"
Romeo chuckled and began to divest himself of his clothing, intending of changing himeself. "I had this tiny thing to do, called a job. I mostly ignored your mails…" "What?"
"Don't sound so offended, you send me naked women and cheeseballs recipes everyday! What is this nonsense you've been talking about?"
While shrugging on some jeans, he caressed Juliet's drawings. She was so amazingly talented and she had trusted him with it. He had to protect it like a treasure.
At the other end of the line, Mercutio was blabbering "Stop putting on your jeans, I can hear you from here! What, you want your dad and my uncle to throw a fit? As if assisting to his nomination is not a chore itself…"
Romeo freezed mid-movement. "What nomination?"
"Are you kidding? You really didn't read your email? Paris, my fucking bastard of a cousin, is finally getting his nomination as a Count. I guess he sucked our uncle's dick long enough and the little shit is now getting the same title as me… Escalus summoned all royalties! It means that I'm stuck at the palace, you too, but also those Capulets!"
Mercutio was still talking, mostly about how he couldn't stand being in the same room as Tybalt or Paris, let alone both of them at the same time but Romeo has stopped listening.
Paris was to be the new Count? Just thinking about Juliet's story and how he obviously wanted to lay more than his hands on her, his blood was boiling. Now he had to be there and applause while he was getting a new title? While in the same room as Funicio and Tybalt?
"That's too much that I can endure…" he whispered. Mercutio, hearing him, agreed and whispered "Don't worry too much. I think I've found a way of spiking out a bit the situation! Now get smartly dressed and get your ass there!"
"'Cutio! What are you talking about? Mercutio?" But he already had cut the line. Romeo looked at his phone, dumbfounded.
He was still looking like an idiot, his jeans around his ankles, his phone in one hand when Benvolio suddenly opened his door without knocking.
"Ben! Fucking Hell!"
Benvolio laughed, jumping on his cousin's bed. "What? Its not the first time I surprised you with your pants down your knees!" Romeo smashed a pillow on his face and noticed that his cousin was very smartly dressed. "So this is not a nightmare? I really planned my return, just in time to be present to Paris' nomination? Fucking hell…"
Ben laughed and gestured to him "I guess you could go like that…. I bet Escalus and all the Capulets would love to see you paying respect in your underwear!"
Ben started with a big barfy laugh and Romeo joined before turning to Ben "All Capulets, you said?" "Yeah, why do you think I'm going there? If even the cousins in Montague family is getting summoned, you can bet that the whole House of Capulet is gonna brink their stench over there!"
Romeo didn't answer but he got rid of his jeans and quickly went to brush his teeth and put a suit on. He had a spring to his step: he was maybe gonna see Paris and all the Capulets he hated but it also meant he was gonna see Juliet a lot more earlier than planned.
Juliet was harboring a strnage expression. She was scared and a bit disgusted to be harnassed like she was in her dress but she had to admit, it had its uses. The golden dress was pinching her skin everytime she moved but it had enough room to hid her hand at all time.
Her hand and what she was hiding in it.
The tiny phone Romeo had given her hours earlier was sitting in her palm and she was clutching it. It was not exactly her bst decision and she knew that she was as good as dead if anyone discovered it but she couldn't help herself. Romeo had send her a text saying he was gonna be at the nomination. Before advising her to delete the text, he had promised he's rang her twice to let her know he was here.
So, sitting in the uncomfortable dress, in the car between Angelica and Isabella, Rein in front of her, she was trying to keep an submissive face while clutching her phone anxiously. She had turned to volume off and put the vibration at the lowest.
Eventually, at the same time as the car parked itself in front of the palace when Isabella and Rein got down with a flourish of gowns and stupid conversations, the phone vibrated discreetly twice, twitching in her palm like a living animal. She smiled, hiding her face while looking down, her hair covering it.
At the entrance, her father and a whole bunch of cousins where waiting for them. Tybalt was there and he didn't look happy. Even if the last time he had raised his hands on here was a few weeks ago, Juliet still felt weary around him, especially when he seemed in such an angry mood already.
By protocol, she had to enter with him and she shuddered when he took her wrist. Not her hand, her wrist, in a show of possession that disgusted her. She kept her head down and didn't raise it up until they were all sitted in the honor parlor.
She had rarely stepped inside the Royall Palace, even less in the Celebratory Hall. The last time had been for Tybalt's official introduction to the family when she was 8. Despite all the luxury and the humbling feeling one couldn't help but feel around such a place, she couldn't help but let gaze wander, trying to find the green eyes she graved.
When suddenly, their eyes met, she felt herlsef ready to burst out, ready to fly and shout. She left loved, cherished and she decided that she only wanted to live inside his eyes.
She didn't pay the ceremony a single thought as it unfolded in front of her, only keeping her eyes fixed on Romeo.
Romeo couldn't have cared at all that his family was not in the Honor seats. Ascanio was fuming, saying that Escalus was purposely adding to the feud in giving the Capulets such a position. Someone said that Paris had personal interest in the young daughter and had pushed for the Prince to have them over.
Romeo's teeth clenched themselves but he couldn't really stay angry: from their up position he had a perfect view, facing Juliet who was down, in front of him. They could gaze at each other without anyone noticing.
The song started and he jumped out, looking down at Paris for the first time. Mercutio was standing near the new Count, looking as bored as ever. It made him laugh. "You're in a strange good mood, son" muttered Ascanio, livid, with Magda next to him. His step-mother's hands were clutching the bannister, her fingers turning white and she kept muttering "Bloody bastards…". Ascanio patted her on the back and whispered "Don't worry dear… They'll have what they deserved". Romeo turned a raised eyebrow to his dad who only chuckled and winked at him.
Something was up.
And Juliet was gonna be in the middle of it.
The ceremony was over and Juliet had't listen to one word. Tybalt had to violently pinch her arm when everyone was clapping for her to realize she was still stiing with her hands crossed on her knees. She burned with embarassement but she was comforted by the fact that she was in a public space and that Romeo was here.
She was so bashed up with glee that she failed to see Paris coming her way. Funicio grabbed her arm, bruising the skin, to pull her forward.
She forced herself to bow, adressing Escalus a scared smile. The Prince was a giant man with long black hair, a thunder voice and a face rarely graced with a smile. He was terrorizing. She kept her reverence while Paris, his beady eyes shining with pride and convoitise, introduced her to his royal uncle.
"Uncle? I know you already have the Capulet family in great estime but let me introduce you to the woman I've had my sight on, Lady Giulietta Capuletti…" Juliet almost rolled her eyes at her formal Italian name and the flourish Paris was adding to it but the cold hand of her father on her back restrained her. She was not free.
Escalus kissed her hand and gave her what she guessed was supposed to be a reasurring smile but only made her shrink in herself.
"So, I guess the accord that we agreed on is settled?" asked Escalus. Funicio bowed and with a cruel smile, placed his daughter's hand in Paris, under the gaze of Tybalt. Her cousin's eyes were fuming and Juliet just realized she had been sold. Trembling, she tried to shook her head and to pull her hand away but the lights flashed off and everything was swallowed in a gigantic scream.
"Mercutio! Wait for me!" The ceremony was over and Romeo was frantically calling after his best friend.
"What? You dad gave its blessing! Those fucking Capulets will have whats coming for them!" The bald enraged man was no less than putting fireworks everywhere around the entrances and exits. Th plan was to cut the lights off, have the fireworks go at one time to create panick and to infiltrate the Capulets' rank to rob them and eventually kick a few asses in the dark.
Ascanio had said ok and he had already left, not even sending his congratulation to Paris.
Romeo opened his mouth but suddenly all lights turned off and he could hear Ben's howl of glee in the dark. Mercutio flashed him a carnassier smile, threw him some night-vision glasses and he ran off back in the direction of the Hall.
Screams were already being heard and Romeo, swearing, rushed to get back in the Hall.
Once there, in the dark, he calculated he had at least 40 seconds to find Juliet and rush her to safely before Mercutio set out the fireworks. Already, he could guess that Escalus security was closing on him and he hoped Juliet had stayed near them.
People were running in pitch black, using their phones for a weak light, trying to escape. He got his phone out and, hoping he was at least in the right direction, tried to call Juliet. The phone was buzzying and he tried to listen if he could hear it.
When he found her, she was crouched down, just in front of her father. Swearing, Romeo saw her father was keeping a strong hand on her wrist, Tybalt standing near her too.
Suddenly the first fire works began to go off andTybalt rushed in the direction with several other Capulet's men. Despite Funicio Capulet's proximity, Romeo crawled to Juliet and, in the dark, touched her cheek. She jumped and crawled back, only to rush back when a fragment of light illuminated his face. He was hugging her, savouring the feel of her body to him when the enraged voice of Funicio rose up and he was pushed away violently. . "You scum! Since when can you touch what is mine?" Juliet cried out but Romeo realised that Funicio had no idea who he was because he was in the dark. He was simply reacting to someone touching his daughter, which he considered his property.
Violently tucking on Juliet's hand, he ran, tucking Juliet behind 's enraged cries were swallowed by the rest of the screams. Juliet's hand was clammy in his but he only thought about rushing her to safety.
He pushed her under the dai, and pressed an urgent kiss to her lips. "Stay here. No matter what happens, wait until the lights are back on to crawl out" Juliet nodded and with another kiss, Romeo was leaving again.
As Juliet felt the darkness surround her, she let her tears come down and hugging her knees, she carefully sat down.
After a few minutes, Romeo had to admit he was having fun. Despite worrying about Juliet, he enjoyed robbing Tybalt and pushing him around in the dark, especially with those night vision glasses. Tybalt or any other Capulet couldn't see anything and the Montagu's boys were having a field day.
Romeo was even finding a bit of revenge in hitting Tybalt. Flashes of Juliet's hurt body kept coming to him. If he had been sure to get away with it, he would have hit directly Funicio but the bastard was been kept safely away, surrounded by his guards. Well, enraging Tybalt was enough.
He could feel as narl on his face, knowing he was suddenly back to his violent ways but the sight of Mercutio's bloody and extatic face made him forget it... That's why he was so surprised when the lights suddenly came back up.
Everybody freezed. Romeo was mid-kick to Tybalt who was been held down by Mercutio, Ben was still with his fist up and all the other Montagu were either smug or bloodied. "Not good…" muttered Mercutio.
"What's the plan, 'Cutio?" whispered Benvolio. The smug bald was now white and he shrugged. "What? You get us into this and you have no back up plan?" exclaimed Ben.
Mercutio tried to shove him but he still hadn't let go of Tybalt. Ben looked at Romeo with a "I can't believe this is happening" face. Romeo closed his eyes. "We're fucking dead".
The booming voice of Escalus suddenly all made them jump. "I musn't have been clear enough last time! I can't believe the like of you went against my order!" The Prince of Verona was enraged and Romeo, maybe for the first time in his live, realized that his man had a power of death and life over him. If Escalus ordered it right now, he could be dead in 10 minutes.
"Separate!" he shouted and Mercutio let reluctantly go of Tybalt who fell to his knees. The Royal Guards immediately came forward to stop the inevitable confrontation and separated the two families in groups: one blue, one red... Romeo decidely kept his eyes down, definitely afraid when he realized Juliet was still absent.
His eyes shoot up and his breathing caught up when he realised Paris was also absent.
Juliet was covering her ears, trying to take herself far away from all the cries she could hear, all the smashes of bodies.
Imagining Romeo in the middle of it, imagining him getting hit or punching people was too much and she was sobbing uncontrollably. But not so much that she heard her name being sing-whispered.
And the smell.
Recoilling quickly to what her brain immediately recognized as Paris' voice, she quietly tried to walk backward in the dark without attracting attention to her movements. The lights suddenly flashed back on
She could faintly see her mother being led to safety and her dad having a screaming match with someone she didn't know. A cold hand landed on her shoulder and she screamed, a hand immediately shuting her.
Romeo was growing frantic.
Mercutio and Tybalt were having a staring competition, Paris was absent and Escalus was pinning them with both his stare and his guards.
Mercutio looked calm and calculous, unfazed by the situation. He was looking at Tybalt with contempt despite the fact that he was clearly at fault and by the look the blonde was giving him, he knew it too.
Romeo realised that he was standing directly in front of the curtain where he had left Juliet and his ears strained to hear her, anything. Quietly, while Escalus was busy screaming at his nephew and at Capulet, he surreptiously walked away.
His beating heart calling him crazy, he reached with his hand and his blood boiled when he glimpsed a fighting stance between Paris and Juliet.
He immedialty ran to them but before he could do anything, he suddenly heard Ben's voice screaming "RUN!" and all Motnagu suddenly appeared everywhere, running for their lives and toward the exit.
Seeing the amount of ennemies, Paris let go of Juliet and ran away while the blonde girl fell down and was litteraly walked over. "NO!" shouted Romeo and he tried to reach her but was inevitably pushed back.
This own people were scambling everywhere, trying to escape the Royal's warth, knowing that if they were taken they could end up in jail for quite some time. Romeo knew it too but his only concern was for Juliet. "Funicio didn't even send for her…" he was seething with rage and Paris could only thank the crowd because Romeo would have killed him.
Juliet tried to scream, tried to get up but so many people were running over. No one saw her or no one cared.
In his haste to escape the crowd, Paris had pushed her forward and she had tripped over her own feet.
Speaking of it, a foot came in her vision and, before she could avoid it, connected with her head And all became black.
Romeo was standing on tiptoes, , trying to walk on when eventually everyone was out.
Without a second glance, he rushed to the prone form of Juliet, lying on the ground. He began to kneel when Mercutio, Ben and Tybalt came in, followed shortly by Paris.
"Romeo?" muttered Mercutio. His best friend was looking at him like he was crazy but Romeo ignored him. He ignored them all. He bend down and carried her in his arms. Paris' face became white with outrage and he began to walk toward Romeo but he simply shouldered past him. Paris staggered on his feet, chastisted but enraged.
The Montagu heir walked past Tybalt who tried to push him away but Mercutio pushed him before and the blonde Capulet almost choked on his breath. Romeo, unshakable, continued to walk and only stopped when he reached Funicio and Escalus.
Forcing himself to breathe, he dropped Juliet in Funicio's arms, shaking with the weight of guilt. Juliet's father seethed and started calling him names when Romeo almost spat on him. "Keep quiet and keep better care of what's yours. You could find yourself without a child and a bargain ground quicker than you think!"
Funicio screamed "I hate you!" and Tybalt tried to punch Romeo. Mercutio pushed him away and Ben shouted his outrage; Escalus was crazy with anger and he shouted "ENOUGH!"
"Capulet! Take your burn-head of a nephew and get away from my sight before I decide to punish you in the same way! And take your fragile daughter with you, make sure she recovers quickly and be ready for Paris' visit tomorrow!"
Funicio was ashamed and his face was burning but without a glance back, he turned away to the exit, Juliet in his arms, like a simple package. Romeo wanted to follow but Escalus stopped him and at the sight of the Prince, Romeo realized he was in more trouble than ever. "You! Stay right here!" Escalus was pointing at Mercutio behind Romeo and the charistamic bald man suddenly crinched.
Romeo knew the situation had suddenly took a turn for the worse.
