HEBIJO ACADEMY

The Hebijo elites are seen kneeling towards their sensei. Three out of the five held ice packs on their cheeks after the bruising received from the Strawhat boy.

"He beat all three of you?!" exclaimed Rin.

Yomi recalled the events leading up to now and other various information like Luffy's father supposedly wanting to overthrow the United Nations.

"His father's name is supposedly Monkey. D Dragon. Have you ever heard of a name like that Rin-sensei?" questioned Yomi.

"I haven't. I've never even heard of an organization trying to overthrow the United Nations."

Rin looked upwards in thought. "As evil shinobi, it's our duty to work for the private companies that pay for our duties. What benefit would someone gain for taking down an entire government body? If you have the funds there are easier methods for getting what you want from the government."

"Oh my. You seem to be in deep thought Rin-sensei," Haruka purred.

Rin took a small breath before looking at Haruka. "Haruka I think you know what I want you to do."

Homura shot up. "W-Wait I can take on Strawhat again I've been-"

"Stand down Homura!" Rin demanded, cutting her off.

Homura clenched her teeth and kneeled back down "*Grrrrr*"

Haruka grinned as she slowly stood up. "Ara ara. Looks like I finally get a new doll to play with," she said walking away to capture her next prey.

SEA OF TREES

Seen in the outskirts of the forest are two people running side by side. The one with black hair is smiling and moving gracefully while the one with pink hair is seen desperately gasping for air.

"Wow! You're really fast Hibari! Luffy complimented.

Hibari looked overwhelmed and began to slow down to a stop.

"Why did you stop Hibari?" Luffy asked.

"I'm exhausted!" Hibari said faceplanting to the ground.

"Tired? We've only done one lap!?"

"It's one lap, but it's around the entire forest!" Hibari said irritably.

As she slowly got back up she got an idea. "Oh! I know! Secret shinobi art! Ninto!"

Approaching from the sky was Hibari's sky animal. Ninto flew towards Hibari on the yellow electric cloud. It was travelling smoothly until...

*POW!*

In a blink of an eye, Luffy clobbered Ninto downwards sending the pink rabbit into the soil. Hibari watched in horror.

"Luffy! How could you!"

Luffy looked back at her neutrally. "Hibari, before I can teach you haki we have to increase your stamina and endurance! What will riding on a cloud do!?" Luffy shouted.

"I-I... your right." Hibari sent Ninto away and both of them went back to running.

20 MINUTES LATER

"Alright, I think we're done for today. We can go to school now," Luffy declared.

As the two ran back Luffy noticed that Hibari was lagging behind and on the cusp of fainting.

*Huff* *Huff* "I'm sorry Luffy-senpai. You can go on without me. I can catch up later," she gasped out.

Luffy frowned at that and felt kinda bad. Slowly approaching her he picked her up to give her a piggyback ride. "Luffy-senpai you don't have to do that."

"Shi shi shi! Don't worry about it. You've trained really hard. Just relax and take a breather for now," he smiled.

Hibari blushed and accepted being carried. As Luffy sprinted to his destination, Hibari wanted to ask him something.

"Aren't you exhausted Luffy-senpai?" asked Hibari.

"Nope. When I was seven my grandpa used to make me run laps around the forest I grew up in so I'm used to it."

"Seven? That's a really young age."

Eventually Luffy made it to Hanzo Academy. Once he arrived everyone in the schoolyard recognized him as the guy who saved the girl on the news.

"Hey everyone! It's the Strawhat hero!"

A crowd began to surround Luffy and Hibari. "Wow, Luffy-senpai! You're really popular now!"

Luffy didn't really think much of it and continued walking, although he didn't enjoy people calling him a hero. "I'm no hero," Luffy muttered.

Hibari heard him and wanted to ask why he thought that, but before she was able to ask, Luffy put her back on her feet and began to make haste. "Luffy-senpai, where are you going?!" she shouted.

"Classes are really boring! Don't worry I'll be back at lunchtime!" Luffy yelled out while waving back.

Luffy was already past the school gate and so she didn't bother questioning further. Just before she walked in she spotted Yagyu in front of her.

"Oh, Yagyu! I'm sorry for everything I said. I just wanted to... Yagyu?," Hibari noticed that Yagyu had tears in her eyes. "I'm really sorry for calling you mean things Yagyu I just-" she tried to explain but Yagyu cut in.

"That bastard gets to give piggyback rides for Hibari but not me!"

"This isn't about Luffy-senpai is it?"

"S-S-S-Sen-Senpai!?" upon hearing the word Yagyu's brain fried up as she collapsed onto the floor.

"Y-Yagyu-chan!"

TWO HOURS LATER

CANTEEN

After skipping his classes to go train, Luffy went back to the canteen to eat. As he entered he spotted Asuka at the usual spot. "Oi Asuka!"

Asuka heard her name and turned to see who was calling her. "L-Luffy!"

Luffy sat down with a mountain of food. "How have you been?"

"Me? What about you?! Are you even okay?"

"Of course! Why wouldn't I be? Why are you panicking so much?"

"Your hand! Is your hand okay?"

"Umm ya, I think so. Why do you ask?"

Right before Asuka can answer, they heard a familiar voice shouting at Luffy.

"Luffy! Where were you yesterday and this morning?!"

"Oh hey Ikaruga," Luffy said casually.

"Don't you 'Oh hey' ME! Now answer my question. Where were you yesterday and this morning, but more importantly... Why are you trying to block knives with your bare hands?!"

"For the first question, classes are boring. As for the second one I needed to protect my friend."

"I for one think it was badass," Katsuragi budged in.

"Oi Kat!" Luffy greeted.

Hibari soon entered with Yagyu behind her.

"He took my Hibari... He took my Hibari... He took my Hiba-" *Bonk!*

"Yagyu! Cut that out!" yelled Hibari who karate chopped her head.

"S-Sorry."

"It looks like everyone is eating here again today," said Hibari, as everyone settled and quieted down a little bit.

As Asuka looked at Luffy stuffing his face and thinking about his heroics she couldn't help but compliment him.

"You're quite the hero now huh Luffy," she said, smiling at him.

Luffy looked frustrated when he heard that. It caught Asuka and everyone who looked at him off guard. "What's wrong Luffy? Was it something I said?"

"A hero?... No way!"

"What do you mean Luffy? What you did was really heroic," Asuka explained.

"I'm no hero, I'm a pirate!"

"A-A pirate!?" Hibari stuttered.

"*Tchh* A pirate? Don't be ridiculous. There's no piracy in this age," Yagyu quipped.

"Don't get it wrong I love heroes but... I don't want to be one! When you say hero, do you know what that really means? For example, say you have some meat. A hero is someone who shares all the meat with everyone. A pirate like me wants all the damn meat!"

"Do you really think that Luffy? Why would you want to be a pirate anyway?" Asuka questioned.

Luffy just nodded at the first question. "Pirates have the freedom to do whatever they want."

Ikaruga was a little heated hearing that. "The Constitution of Japan guarantees freedom of expression to every citizen.

"Is that really freedom though? Besides, I don't just wanna have some freedom! I want the most freedom in the World!"

Luffy jumped up on the table to Ikaruga's annoyance. "I am going to be the King of the Pirates!"

Everyone who watched from the sidelines and other tables heard Luffy's ambition, either thinking that he was insane or making a joke.

Ikaruga was having none of it though. "Get your feet off the table!"

While Ikaruga was yelling, Asuka remembered something. "Back when Luffy introduced himself to the class he said the same thing. I thought he was joking, but he really wants to be King of the Pirates."

"Hey, Luffy."

Luffy got back down and turned his head towards Asuka. "Yes?"

"If you want freedom so much, why be a pirate? I'm sure there are other ways to have that kind of freedom."

Luffy took off his iconic Strawhat and smiled as he showed off his scar?. "On the day that I got this scar. I made a promise to my idol."

"And what promise was that?" asked Katsuragi.

"That I would become a great pirate and give back my greatest treasure." Luffy put his hat back on with pride.

"Sounds like a bad influence if you ask me. I'll respect your decision though... despite how crazy it all sounds," said Ikaruga.

AFTER SCHOOL

Luffy and Asuka are seen walking together, Asuka twiddling her fingers, thinking hard about something. "Oh no. Could Luffy be a really bad person," Asuka thought, thinking back to what Luffy said earlier about being a pirate and her grandpa's words from before.

"Hey you're that guy on the news!"

As Luffy and Asuka were walking a little kid who didn't look any older than ten approached Luffy. "Yup thats me!"

The kid took out a permanent marker. "Can you sign my arm!?"

"Shi shi shi, sure thing."

As Asuka was watching the sight she immediately thought of something. "What am I thinking? Luffy couldn't be a bad person," she thought back to all of Luffy's moments of good will.

Eventually, Asuka and Luffy parted ways. "See you tomorrow Asuka!" Luffy said, waving goodbye.

"Same here Luffy!" she said waving back.

After he and Asuka parted ways, Luffy heard a voice behind him.

"Hello handsome," she purred.

"Luffy looked at her blankly. "Oi," he greeted. "Who are you?"

"Call me Haruka sweetie."

Authors notes

Hey lads it's been a while. For the past months I've had school and work keeping me busy. Luckily starting the 19th to the 31st I have no school or work. This will give me plenty of time to write and two more chapters will be written before the end of December.

Everyone really wants the harem to be 20 girls so I decided why the heck not.

Today's chapter was very short today but don't worry I will go back to my average 3500 words after this one. I just wanted to upload something to let people know I still care.
