- I'm enjoying this! I have a big thing coming in this chapter-
Brick just got back to the hotel room, it was the next morning and he had to get a couple things before his outting with Blossom today. He placed a wrapped gift box on the bed and woke her up with a small tender kiss.
Blossom woke up with a small yawn and looked up at him with a loving stare. "Good morning..." She yawns and Brick smiles. "Good morning... I brought you a gift... It's kinda important for today... I'd like you to open it..." He looked at her with the same amount of love in his eyes.
Blossom squealed and sat up, she was still naked from last night. He had to focus on anything but her body right now. She reached for the gift box and opened it carefully. She smiled brightly at what it was. He bought her a white Sun hat and a soft yellow dress. "They are beautiful! I love this hat!" Blossom said hugging them to her chest.
"It's a pretty sunny day and I know that you're fair like I am, you also aren't used to being outside and I think it'll help prevent you from burning..." He explained and she nods. Blossom gets up and gets dressed, she looked at herself in the mirror and grinned. He was happy to see her so happy.
"Now that you're dressed... I think we should start our planned day..." He offered and Blossom nods enthusiastically. "Oh yes! I would love to!" She grabbed her things and took his hand. He walked with her to the elevator, he noted that she still clung to him a little bit. He held her and felt her unease lessen. When they get to the main floor of the hotel, he kept her in his arms and walked wither her outside.
"Our first stop is breakfast... I got somewhere in mind..." Brick led her in the direction. "Does it have waffles?" Blossom asked with a hopeful smile. "Of course..." Brick nods, he couldn't help but feel that familiar feeling of butterflies in his stomach. He hoped that today would go as planned, especially later tonight, he had hoped that the weather would cooperate with him.
They get to the breakfast restraunt and Blossom looks around in intrigue. She's not been to a restaurant in years and hadn't been surrounded by so many people. Her face went red in shyness, but her anxiety was kept at bay. They ordered breakfast, waffles for her and French toast for him. Blossom was still looking around as she ate her breakfast.
"Are you enjoying your breakfast?" Brick asked as he finished his own. "Yes I am... No offense to the restraunt, but I prefer the way you make these..." Blossom comments and Brick blushed. "Thank you... I'm glad you enjoy what I make for you..." He smiled, he thought that she was so sweet. After they eat, Brick takes them to their first destination. A shopping mall in the plaza. Blossom, kept close to him but looked at all the stores in fascination, one caught her attention. "Why does that woman in the picture wear such complicated looking underwear? I've never seen anything like that?" Blossom asked curiously. "That's lingerie, it's what women wear to feel sexy... That just means that she wants to look good for her and her partner or lover..." Brick explained and Blossom's eyes brighten in curiosity.
"May I take a look? I just want to see what you are explaining in person..." She asked and he nods. "I told you I'd never tell you no if you're curious, but if it overwhelms you, just make sure to tell me..." He said and Blossom nods in response. He lets her pull him into the store with her, she is looking at everything in her usual curious way. She found something that made her giggle, "Oh! Those underwear look like yours, but they are advertised for women! I will try these..." Blossom picked a single pair and he had to stop himself from laughing, because that was beyond cute to him.
That's when an employee walked over, "Can I help you two?" She asked, mostly looking towards Blossom. Blossom looked startled, Brick instantly calms Her, "Blossom, that's just an employee... You're fine..." He chuckled and Blossom blushed. "Is she alright?" The employee asked and Brick nods. "Yes she's fine, she's a little different than most people... You just caught her by surprise..." He explains and the employee nods. "I would love to receive your help..." Blossom finally spoke. The employee showed her different things, the more she did, the more engrossed Blossom became. In the end she ended up buying a few things.
"Wow... I've never had my breasts measured before... That was a strange but fun experience..." Blossom smiled. They continued to go to several stores and after several, Blossom was a lot more at ease around people. They end up at a restaurant, eating lunch, and then Blossom spotted a jewelry store. "That place is very shiny, but I know they say that jewelry is very expensive... I think I might vist one at home!" Blossom said and Brick's eyes flickered from the store to her. "Yeah... I'll take you some day..." He said with very focused look in his eyes.
Brick finally took her to the outdoor activities and it started with the skywheel, Blossom was alarmed and excited about being up so high. "This ride is so tall! I feel strange, but I love it as well!" Blossom stayed close to Brick, but still looked out the window the entire time. "It's being up high that is making you feel strange and it's the view that you love..." He chuckled at her. Blossom just clung around him tighter.
When they exit the sky wheel, Brick right away takes her to the next thing. It was mini golf. Blossom was apparently a natural, even if she hadn't played the game in recent years. "You're kicking my butt at this..." He smirks at her, Blossom squealed and continued to play. He liked watching her have fun, it was actually what he needed this trip to be. This felt like the break he needed to have.
Brick brought her to the next activity and made Blossom apply sunscreen. "I don't want to have you get burned today..." He said and Blossom nods. The activity was a tour of the the area they were staying at. They were sitting on a tiny tour cart and Blossom was beyond busy looking at everything that both rode in silence.
The tour cart ended up dropping them off closer to their next destination. Brick was in the process of taking her to it. She saw he grabbed what looked like plastic rain coats and Blossom looked at him in intrigue. He then led her to an area closer to the falls. Blossom was beyond taken with it and couldn't remove her eyes from the sight.
"We're going on the maid of the mist... It's gonna take us really close to the falls!" Brick said to her and Blossom looks up at him in pure excitement. "Oh wonderful! The falls are so beautiful! " Her enthusiasm was evident and Brick's eyes light up. He had them put on the plastic coats to protect their clothes. Then they get on and the maid of the mist was crowded, so Brick wrapped his arms around her to keep her from feeling any anxiety. When the ride starts, he hears Blossom make happy noises during entire thing. When the falls came close he feels her grip his arms in excitement.
She squealed in delight and surprise as water sprays them. They both stayed dry, except for their hair and faces. Blossom held her hat under her plastic coat to keep it dry. When the exit the maid of the mist, Blossom was still buzzing with excitement. They took off the coats and dispose of them properly. "That was amazing! That experience was extremely fun!" Blossom threw her arms around Brick in happiness. He hugged her and gave her a loving look.
"I knew that'd be something that you'd enjoy... I'm glad you had fun..." He kissed her nose and her face heats up. Blossom moved to nuzzle him, she was sad her mother couldn't take her here, but he was definitely the best person in her life now that could. He always brought her happiness and made the experience so much more fun and worth every single second.
Their next stop was a small fun house that had different little rooms with different types of effects. It was a trip for both of them and by the time they exit, both need a break and sit down on a random bench. "Those rooms messed with my senses!" Blossom shook her head to regain normalcy. "They sure did..." Brick chuckled and after a few minutes, both can finally move on to the next place.
Brick takes her to a more upscale restaurant than the others and Blossom gets her first experience of real Italian food. "This pasta is very good!" Her smile was there the entire time. "It is very good..." He agreed, he started to look from his plate of food to her. He looked like he was thinking about something. Blossom looked at Brick with a confused look. He'd been doing that quite a bit today.
"Is something bothering you?" Blossom asked curiously and Brick shook his head. "No... I'm just deciding something that I need to take care of later... Don't worry about it okay? I'm not pushing you away, it's just something I'm deciding about the trip..." He assured her and Blossom nods, wondering what that was about. He said no more secrets, so she'd trust his words and ignore her anxiety.
When they left the restraunt, it was around 9 o'clock in the evening. It was getting dark outside and Blossom looked around the sighed at the sights. "Come on Blossom! They light up the falls at this time!" Brick began to pull her in the direction of the falls. "They do? I've never known that!" Her excitement was back. They got to the observation area and saw the falls were lit up. "That is amazing! How do they do that?!" Blossom asked Brick as they stood together and watched. "They have special lights installed to make the falls more interesting at night..." He put and arm around her.
"Fascinating..." She nods and both stood ther for awhile just watching the falls in silence. They didn't talk for a few minutes, they only admired. They were the only ones there, so it was quiet and peaceful. She enjoys just hearing the falls and Brick's breathing. It threw her off for a second when Brick's voice cut through the silence.
"Perfect way to end the night... Isn't it?" Brick asked and Blossom nods happily. "It is..." She smiled. He looked towards her and she saw his eyes dancing over her. "You know... Even though we've been in a relationship for almost two months... I feel like we've been together since the first letter... I knew that you were something... I had a feeling that you were a special kind of person... I just recently found out how special you were to me..." He then moved his arm to take her hand in his. The gesture was soft and sure.
He continued to talk, "We've been through so much that it feels like a dream almost... The good kind of dream... One that will eventually end the way we want it..." He squeezed her hand slightly, "The fact that we've stayed together during the worst and best times... I find that so easy with you... Like it's meant to happen... I was noticing something... Even before the trip here... I had on thought keep popping up in my head... I wasn't exactly sure what it meant... But now I think I do, and I'm going to listen to it no matter how crazy it seems right now..." He chuckled and Blossom look at him in intrigue.
"What is it? Will you tell me this time?" Blossom asked with a giggle. "Actually... Yes... I think I will" He turned to face her, still holding her hand, "I've been thinking about this for days... I know It's right, because I believe that I am absolutely certain about this..." She was about to ask him what he meant until one simple action said it all, she didn't need to be taught about this one, she knew all too much about what it meant.
Brick kept eye contact and dropped down on one knee, Blossom gasped in complete shock. She hoped that this wasn't her hallucinating right now. He broke eye contact,obviously nervous, "I know that people are gonna say I'm stupid to do this so young... I don't give a shit because I won't ask this to anyone else... Only you are the one that I can ever imagine I'd want this with... We're going to continue going through this shit, and I want you to realize that I'm never leaving your side... I want to ask you to be something more than just my girlfriend, more than just my love... I'm asking you to take this moment and be my everything forever... Will you marry me?" Brick asked, when he looked up at her, she saw he was crying.
He reached into his jeans pocket and pulled out a small ring box. He showed her what was inside, it was a simple silver band with a white and pink diamond beside each other. Blossom stood there in shock for a second, before bursting out in tears and throwing her arms around him. "Yes! Without a doubt in my soul! I will marry you!" Blossom pulled him into a kiss and felt him embrace her.
She pulled away to let him slip the ring onto her engagement finger. Both felt like they were in a dream. "Let's go back... I'd love the rest of the night to be just me and you..." Brick stood up with her and took her back to the hotel. Blossom was in a world of her own, staring at the ring constantly. This was definitely the perfect ending to the night.
