So this was a pretty fun chapter to write. A new pokemon will join. I haven't decided on a nickname so feel free to suggest one. Now the comments. I'm glad someone picked up on his arrogance. He would have some considering how long he's trained and the battles he has fought. I wouldn't worry too much about Aurea and Elesa not coming along. They will be back soon in the story. Yeah, I fixed the N saddle thing, but I wrote Dialga, Palkia, and Kyurem's names specifically because Sinnoh so heavily leans on those two in religion so their names being lost to time wouldn't make much sense. Kyurem on the other hand was known to be a monster in Unova and had been seen. So I assume the people would just name it Kyurem. I would have made them, but considering they are children I don't see the point. They or at least Cynthia is only ten. Just give it time they are going to grow closer over time. I don't own anything and feel free to review. I enjoy them.

Mithril shredded through the water when I was on his back. N was whopping for joy in his seat in front of me. Mithril was currently weaving through the waterways of Crown City. Cynthia wasn't very far behind us on her Milotic and Kukui had taken to the sky on his Braviary. Crown City was fascinating. The city was connected to the sea. It wasn't necessarily a big city though. It had a sleek metropolis city look. Skyscrapers towered over the city, but there was a unique treasure in the middle of the city. The middle of the city was covered in canals and old buildings. It was a mesh of new and old technology. Now, why would we be in Crown City? It was simple really. We were here because they had a fossil machine. I had handed off the fossil to the scientists already so now we were just exploring the city. Mithril came to a stop in the modern city with skyscrapers. He waited till we got out of the water to jump out and puff his chest out. The goofy little Piplup hadn't changed at all and I was happy for that. Kukui landed next to us and Cynthia was quick to get off of her Gastrodon.

Kukui asked the group "So where are we going first?"

N was quick to interject and said, "I want to go and see the Royal Palace. I heard there were statues of the protectors of the city."

Cynthia ruffled N's hair and said, "That sounds like a great idea. We can get some food after."

Our group made our way down the street until N stumbled into a tall man with dark purple hair and a patch of blonde hair on the top of his head. The man had a bright white business suit and he had a scowl on his face. Three other men seemed to surround the man and each of them had a similar scowl on their faces. The man snapped out "Watch where you are walking little boy."

I frowned as irritation started to build up. Mithril stopped strutting around and had taken a defensive stance over N. This snobbish man had just yelled at my brother. I responded with "Maybe you should watch where you are going."

Kukui held up his hands and said "I'm sure this is all a misunderstanding. Why don't we all cool down and go our separate ways?"

The man turned away from us and said to his goons "I don't have time for this. Let's go." The man and his goons were quick to leave the four of us and then it struck me who exactly this was. It was the businessman that tried to strangle Celebi and steal its powers.

N grabbed my arm and said, "Come on Aragorn we need to get to the palace before it closes."

I knelt next to N and said "Mithril wants to stay in the canals for a little while longer. You guys go ahead without me. I'll catch up."

N bobbed his head up and down and was quick to pull Cynthia along. She shot me a questioning look, but let N pull her along. Kukui asked "What's up Aragorn? Usually, you only get that look when you are going to do something stupid or dangerous."

I looked back towards where Cynthia and N were walking and said, "I have a bad feeling about the guy in the suit. I'm going to tail him."

Kukui sighed and rubbed the back of his head. He said, "Man you seem to get in more trouble than anyone I've ever met Aragorn."

I quickly recalled Mithril. I would need to be quiet when I did this. I was about to trail the group of three when I felt a hand on my shoulder. I said, "I need you to go make sure N and Cynthia are safe."

Kukui snorted and said, "Not a chance. I'm not going to let one of my friends face these badies alone. Besides, Cynthia is an extremely strong trainer and can protect your little brother."

I sighed and said "Fine. Let's go beat down some bad guys."

Kukui gave me a thumbs up and a cheesy smile. The two of us slunk through the city trailing after the businessman. Eventually, the businessman and his goons stopped at a wide-open park in the middle of the city. I heard Kukui whisper next to me "Is that what I think it is? Is that the legendary forest Pokemon that can travel through time?"

I nodded my head and said, "Yeah it definitely is."

The two goons fanned out and threw their Houndooms and Luxraxys out to stop Celebi from escaping. One of the goons asked, "Is this the legendary Pokemon you were talking about Mr. Kodai?" The now named Kodai sneered cruelly and rushed the Celebi. He quickly grabbed the small mythical Pokemon and started to strangle it. Celebi tried to escape, but Kodai's grip was firm.

A hand then popped out of his bag and began to harness the energy of the Time Ripple that Celebi had created. Kodai let out a cruel laugh and said "Yes, This is the legendary Pokemon Celebi. I have studied the history of Crown City for years and I came across many different old texts about this specific Pokemon. After years, I finally found its name and I was able to find where Celebi lived. Imagine my surprise when the legendary pokemon Celebi was right under my nose."

I looked towards Kukui and whispered, "We need to move now." He nodded his head and the two of us burst from our hiding place. I quickly threw out Gimli and Smaug. Kukui followed suit with his Lycanrock and Incineroar. One of the bodyguards Houndooms approached us while the other stayed back.

Kukui quickly said, "I can handle this guy go save the legendary." I nodded and sprinted past the guard with Gimli and Smaug. Gimli was the first to move a slammed his fist into the Houndoom of the other grunt. I looked at Gimli's back and quickly swerved past the other grunt with Smaug. The plant life around us had started to wither and die. Celebi even had started to wither as Kodai continued to apply pressure to the small Pokemon. That grin remained on his face as this continued. The mass amounts of energy were flowing from Kodai's robotic arm to his body.

Kodai turned to me and an evil glint was in his eye. He said, "You think you can stop me. I can see everything now". He then lifted Celebi and moved slightly to the left. A chunk of rubble slammed where he use to be and a cold calculating smile remained on his face.

I quickly called out to Smaug "Use flare and then extreme speed".

It was all for naught though as Kodai simply covered his eyes and moved to the right. Smaug let loose a bright light that didn't seem to affect Kodai, then he shot forward and missed Kodai. My hands clenched. I needed to get Kodai away from the time portal. He could predict every move I used while he was still connected to it.

Kodai simply smiled and said "You finally understand how futile it is to fight me. I can see everything. You are nothing compared to me."

Kodai then dropped Celebi to the floor and it slowly floated to the ground. I caught the slight rise and fall of its chest, but it didn't look good for the mythical pokemon. Celebi had withered and crumpled. The area around Celebi had started wither as well. Even the time portal had started to pulse. It didn't look good. I threw out the rest of my Pokemon and each was ready to fight. Kodai slowly took a few steps back and said "It looks like you will be the first to witness the rise of my empire".

He quickly threw out his team and it was all ghost type pokemon. A Mismagius, Dusknoir, Gengar, Drifblim, Sableye, and a Rotom came out from the pokeballs. Kodai wasn't a trainer because he simply told his pokemon to attack. He gave no instructions for the battle. He just continued to watch on as his pokemon and mine clashed. I didn't have time to control my team. I needed to get to Celebi and help get it to the portal. I was able to catch a brief view of the battles before I dodged through the battlefield. Smaug had collided with the Gengar and the two were currently playing cat and mouse. Smaug being the cat and Gengar being the mouse. Mithril had decided to shoot off ice beams at the Mismagius to keep it up in the sky. The Mismagius seemed to be struggling with the constant bombardment. Ulmo was shooting off noxious gas at Dusknoir and Ancalagon was thrashing Kodai's Rotom. Mandos was beating the Driflimb and Sableye into a bloody pulp.

I rushed past the fighting and threw a punch at Kodai. He just stepped to the side and dodged the punch. He knew something I didn't. He could see into the future and that meant he was waiting for something. I stopped and Kodai finally paused. He asked, "Have you finally figured it out?" Kukui ran up to me and the rest of my Pokemon had finished up their fights.

Kukui frowned at the man and said "You should give up. We have you surrounded".

Kodai smiled and said, "Oh I don't think how this is going to go. I could bet that something else will happen".

Kodai then threw out his last Pokeball and a Gallafe popped out. Kodai tilted his head and said "Use Teleport". Gallade grabbed onto Kodai as we rushed forward and then the Pokemon and Kodai were gone. Kukui and I looked at each other and then at the portal that had started to expand and slowly the ground had started to rise and hung in the air. The park had slowly deformed. Patches of land almost limply hung in the air as the portal continued to float in the sky. It was slowly expanding now.

Kukui looked at me and said "We need to get out of here Aragorn. That thing doesn't look like it is going to stop."

I crouched down and picked up the Celebi. I turned towards Kukui and shook my head. He frowned and said, "You are going to do something stupid again aren't you?"

A sad smile came onto my face and I recalled all of my Pokemon. Mandos and Smaug both refused to go back in their Pokeballs though. I asked "Am I that easy to read? I have a plan. I need you to go track down that Kodai guy."

Kukui quickly called back his Pokemon and released Braviary. He hopped on and said, "You better not die. I'll make sure the business guy gets caught. I'll leave the portal to you". He then took one last look at the portal and us and then flies off to track down Kodai.

Once he was out of view I quickly got to work. I placed Celebi down and turned to Mandos and Smaug. I said "Mandos I need you to check the perimeter and check if anyone is in the park. If this thing blows up then I don't want anyone near it. Smaug, we are going to get to the center of that portal and try to put Celebi back into the portal."

Mandos darted out of the park and went to look for any people or Pokemon. I quickly hopped onto Smaug and clung onto Celebi. Smaug took a humorous leap and landed on the first floating chunk of ground. He then proceeded to leap again and make it to the next chunk of land. We were making good progress until the time portal shot off a crack of energy that hit Smaug. Then another crackle of energy hit Smaug and this continued until Smaug was flung back out of the portal range. I was sent tumbling onto the ground. I held onto Celebi with a vice grip as I continued to roll on the ground. I looked over to see that Smaug was slowly starting to stand and brush off the energy attack. He slowly made his way over to me with a limp in his step. He then gently put his muzzle under my chin and curled me up in his fur. I gently patted his head with one hand and said "It'll be ok buddy. I'm sure we will get out of this somehow".

Smaug then licked my face and closed his eyes. I soon followed his example and closed my own eyes and leaned back into Smaug. We forced ourselves to wait for what was to come. The Portal continued to expand and more energy shot out of it and faint snappings could be heard from it. Then I felt it. There was a faint rain and thunder snapped out in the background. I cracked an eye open and there standing in front of us was the three legendary dogs. Entei was shooting out bursts of flames. Suicune was letting loose torrents of water and Raikou was staring down at Smaug and I. Did I mention that all three of the legendary dogs were shiny. I shakily stood up and recalled Smaug. He wouldn't be able to protect me from these three.

Raikou promptly lowered its body almost as if it was asking me to get on. My eyes shot up as I slowly swung my leg over his back and now I was firmly riding Raikou. Raikou let out a roar that caused lightning to crash into the floating islands of land. The Raikou then proceeded to jump into the sky and storm clouds started to form at the bottom of its feet. It quickly dodged a stray burst of energy and we continued to get closer and closer to the portal. Another burst of energy came straight towards us that Raikou couldn't dodge. The energy was quickly met with fire and water. The three attacks collided and Raikou was able to run through the plume of smoke that was created. We had reached the center of the portal and I was quick to throw the Celebi into the portal and I wasn't able to see what happened after that because Raikou shot away from the portal and landed back on solid ground. Mandos had made it back to the clearing and saw that I was currently sitting on Raikou's back with Suicune and Entei at either of my sides.

Mandos stated, "You are the worst person I have ever had to protect".

I groaned and said "It's not my fault. Trouble seems to follow me. At least I have found some new friends."

Mandos sighed and said "Trouble may seem to follow you, but you certainly have Lady Bast on your side. Let's get back to your friends before I shove you in a Pokeball to protect you."

I nodded and returned him to his Pokeball. I looked around at the damage and it was terrible. The vegetation had turned grey. Craters and clumps of ground were surrounding the whole park. The whole area felt as if it was dead. I was about to swing off of my current ride, but Raikou seemed to have other plans. It took off in an unknown direction with me on its back. I let out a yelp and I sighed. It looks like Cynthia and N were going to be pissed at me. I also needed to check on my fossil. We jolted through the city and to a small hill looking out at the city. There standing on the hill was Kodai who had Kukui by the collar of his shirt. Kukui's pokemon were knocked out with a bunch of people surrounding them. It seems Kukui had taken down a multitude of Kodai's minions.

I was able to catch the end of what Kodai had said "You won't stop my business. I will own the biggest business to ever be seen in Sinnoh. No one will be able to stop me. I can see the future. What could stop me?"

I quickly swung off Raikou and yelled "Let him go."

Kodai turned and said "So you have finally made it. I knew you would survive and I have prepared for it."

My confident smirk remained and I said "Well then you must have known that one of the protectors of the city would help me."

Kodai's smile fell and he said "It matters not. I knew you would stop the portal and save Crown City. How would I become the most successful businessman if I didn't have a city to run my business in? So what if I couldn't tell how you got here? One protector of the city won't be able to stop the rest of the bodyguards I had paid."

I look down the hill to see a group of one hundred trainers in the valley. Each had their pokemon ready to blow up this hill to kingdom come. Kodai spoke again "It's a shame. The two of you are quite skilled trainers. I would have loved to employ the two of you to be my new bodyguards. Sadly, the two of you are too much of a liability. I am going to leave with Gallade here and you are going to do nothing to stop me or I will give the command".

I raised an eyebrow and clicked my Pokeballs. Ulmo was quick to act and Thunderwaved Kodai. Gimli grabbed a hold of Gallade and flipped him over his back. He then flexed his muscles and gave me a thumbs up. Kodai grunted and I smiled. I asked, "You aren't a good trainer are you?"

Kodai coughed and said "You fool. You have just doomed your friend and yourself". He then flicked his hand up to the sky and waved his hand. The trainers had each of their Pokemon use their attacks on the hill.

I looked at Raikou and it seemed to slowly incline its head. I called out "Zap cannon and then Thunder".

Raikou let loose a massive amount of electricity that covered the whole field. Raikou then sent out a beam of electricity at the hit the oncoming attacks. Raikou's attack met the other Pokemons' attacks and slowly pushed them back. It was devastating to see the damage that Raikou's attack caused. The two attacks chaotically exploded and electricity sparked around the battlefield. Then Raikou let out a roar and clouds started to loom out overhead. The clear sky had become dark and gloomy. The rain started to fall on the battlefield and then it happened. Lightning struck from the sky and hit the hired trainers and their pokemon. The power of Raikou was devastating. There Pokemon and People alike fell unconscious and the only ones left standing were Raikou and me. I looked back at Kodai and the paralyzed man looked on in abject horror. I was also able to catch a look of awe in Ulmo's eye. Good, I wanted him to remember this. Maybe this would give him a new drive to become as strong as Raikou. I quickly walked over to Kukui and looked at Ulmo. He hesitated a moment then let out a small spark that jolted Kukui awake. Kukui jumped up and cursed. He looked around and shot me a glare when he saw that I was snickering at his predicament. I flung Kodai over my shoulder and clicked his Pokeball for Gallade. I soon followed suit and recalled Gimli and Ulmo. Raikou then turned to Kukui and me and waited patiently.

Kukui stated, "That is one of the protectors of the city."

I nodded and said "Yah. Why? He helped me get the onion-like pokemon back into the portal."

Kukui just smiled and shook his head. I quickly swung onto Raikou's back and offered a hand to Kukui. He took it and pulled himself up behind me. He said "I would have never thought that I was going to ride on the back of a legendary pokemon. You may attract trouble, but you also attract unique encounters with rare pokemon. I'm glad you took me up on my suggestion. Aurea and Elesa are going to be jealous when they hear about this adventure." I shrugged my shoulders and was about to say something when Raikou took off back towards the city.

We had just deposited Kodai off at the City jail and told Officer Jenny what Kodai had done. He would be getting a life sentence. I smiled as I thought about that. This city wouldn't have to deal with him again and I had saved Cynthia a headache in the future. She would certainly appreciate it with all the things she'll have to deal with in the future. Even if N and her chewed me out for leaving them to go face another dangerous situation. I braved the storm of their fury and apologized even if I would do it again. It was worth it as I looked at a happy N rode on Raikou's back. I was surprised when the legendary hadn't left once we got to the town, but it had stayed. We had made it back to the lab and N had slid off of Raikou's back. Raikou and I locked eyes. Smaug immediately came out of his ball and stood behind me. His majestic golden fur shone in the sunlight and Raikou growled.

N spoke up and I broke eye contact to look at him. He said "The protector wants to be your pokemon Aragorn. He said it himself."

Cynthia and Kukui were both interested in what N said and then Cynthia asked "Well are you going to capture it or not? Because if you aren't I will gladly take a chance to capture the legendary."

I turned back to Raikou and said to the rest of the group "I'm not going to catch it yet. What I saw on that battlefield outside the city was incredible. It took down more trainers than I could count. I'm not ready to capture it yet."

I then locked eyes with Raikou and said to it "I want to have a battle with you when I am strong enough to be your trainer. You much stronger than me now, but don't worry I'm going to continue to grow. Once I am strong enough our clash will shake the sky. So don't get caught in the meantime."

Raikou then brushed his head against my hand and in a few seconds it was gone. I smiled and turned to head into the fossil recovery lab. It was time to get the next member of my team. I felt Kukui clap me on the back and Cynthia was bewildered why I let Raikou go. N just shook his head and walked next to me. Once I was in the lab the scientist said "Ah you must be the trainer that gave me this fossil. I must say that you got quite lucky. I haven't seen one of these in a long time."

He then handed me a Pokeball and I was quick to click the ball. A Tyrunt came out of the ball. The Tyrunt immediately saw me and pumped its head into my leg. I smiled and went to pet it. It then bit down on my hand and I sighed. It looks like Ancalagon would have a friend. Mordor came out of his ball on his own and looked at the newest member of the team. Mordor and Tyrunt circled each other and Tyrunt started to cry and hide under my leg. That was cute it was a shy little Pokemon. I would need to think of a name for it as well. I was caught in thought when I felt someone tap on my shoulder. I look at Cynthia and saw that she was pointing at people who had started to gather around the fossil building.

I asked, "Are those your fans, Cynthia?"

She cocked her head to the side and a smirk made its way to her lips. She said "No. I think they are yours. You are starting to get pretty famous Aragorn."

My mouth fell open. I hadn't expected to get famous. I quickly called back the Tyrunt and scooped up Mordor. I then put on a fake smile and walked out the door where I was showered with questions. I sighed it was going to be a long day.

Alright, end of the chapter. I hope you guys liked it. The chapter was inspired after the movie, but also the newest anime episode. The one where Suicune was captured by Goh. I thought it was awesome, but my only problem with it was Goh not battling Suicune. I think to get a legendary the character needs to battle and capture it. That is one of the reasons Aragorn didn't capture Raikou. I'm also debating on the last pokemon on Aragorn's second team. I'm thinking it's either a Hatteriene or Sawsbuck, but I'm not sure. One more note. Aragorn is going to be exploring Sinnoh for another one or two chapters then he will be going back to Unova.

Smaug (Arcanine) moves:

New moves: flare(a blinding light that stuns enemies), eruption (Flames spread across the floor that erupts like volcanoes), Magnetism (a field of electricity that is used like protect that can paralyze opponents when one touches it), Fire control (takes extreme concentration to use and leaves him extremely tired), Amaterasu (Smaug has only done this attack once, but it is a pure white flame that can only be put out due to time)

Ancalagon (Garchomp) moves:

Dragon breath, sand attack, sand tomb, bulldoze, dragon claw, dragon pulse, dig, slash, bite, crunch, ember, mud shot, brick break, scorching sands

New moves:

Ground armor (Ancalagon surrounds himself in the earth to increase his defense. This is one of his favored moves because he can take more damage and act as a mass of destruction). Aragorn has been focused on him developing resistances to ice and fairy type moves. Dragon barrage (It is a move that Ancalagon charges up the dragon energy around him and shoots out a massive barrage of purple draconic energy waves up into the air to rain down on the opponent, it is still in progress).

Mandos (Lucario) moves:

Aura Sphere, detect, copycat, feint, force palm, metal claw, quick attack, nasty plot, power-up punch, bone rush, sword dance, bullet punch, dark pulse, meteor mash.

New moves:

Bone rush swords (He uses bone rush to create swords to fight with), Buster sword (uses bone rush to create the buster sword. He can fling aura attacks off the sword),

Gimli (Machamp) moves:

Fire punch, thunder punch, ice punch, low kick, revenge, vital throw, seismic punch, bullet punch, mega punch, low sweep, close combat, dynamic punch, counter, payback

New moves:

He has mastered many forms of martial arts. All-Might (A single punch that creates mass amounts of wind pressure) I plan to use some different types of animes for these like the seven deadly sins, and My Hero Academia.

Mithril (Empoleon) moves:

Aqua Jet, bubble, water gun, metal claw, water pulse, icy wind, water sport, hail, ice beam, rain dance, Hydro pump (He is still learning this one), drill peck (Still learning this one).

New moves:

Icicle spears (Mithril forms icicle spears from the water around him and launches them at his opponents), Blood bending(It is a work in progress. He controls the blood in an opponent's body), icy domain (Mithril freezes the floor around him and skates across the floor), Water torrent (Water forms around Mithril's flipper and spins in angry torrents. It greatly resembles Sasuke's Chidori in a water form. It has the same power as one of Blastoise cannons. Aragorn has been trying to mix it with other moves to increase its power even more), more moves to come, Water javelins (they are water javelins)

Ulmo (toxtricity) moves:

Acid, Acid spray, Spark, volt switch, thunder wave, thundershock, thunder, poison jab, thunder punch, eerie impulse, sludge bomb, venom drench.

New moves:

Poison fog (This move creates a poisonous fog that causes pokemon to become poisoned. Ulmo is able to shoot the cloud out of its pores. The cloud is extremely thick), Electrical stimulation (Ulmo stimulates its muscles to increase the reaction in its muscles. This lets Ulmo compete with other members of Aragorn's team). Web (Ulmo creates strings of electricity across the battlefield. This is meant to slow down opponents and force slower combat)
