Chapter 10: Reavealed

As Tornpelt was made a warrior, he imagined the same for Twistedpaw. I wonder what her warrior name is? Tornpelt thought. Later that day, as the sun was setting, Tornpelt sat waiting for the vigil to be over. He sat silently by his brother, Leopardclaw.

In the morning, Tornpelt was exhausted.

"Alright! Leopardclaw and Tornpelt the vigil is over! You may speak!" Smallstar meowed. He was so proud to be a warrior. He gave his brother a nudge and took a nap in the warriors den. He woke up later that day to find that it was almost night. Oh no! I have to get to the border! I hope she isn't waiting! He thought. He jumped to his paws and said that he was going out to hunt. On his way there, he caught vole so when he came back, it was believable. He saw Twistedpaw grooming herself by a tree.

"Hi Tornpaw." Twistedpaw meowed glumly.

"Tornpelt." he meowed with his head high."What is your warrior name?"

"I'm not a warrior." Twistedpaw meowed sadly

"Why not? You are a great fighter!" Tornpelt meowed encouragely. She sighed.

"Because, I'm going to have kits. Your kits." Twistedpaw admitted. Tornpelt was taken away by shock.

"But you're an apprentice!" Tornpelt stuttered. Twistedpaw nodded.

"Every cat thinks that the kits are Pikeheart's kits, but they're yours." Twistedpaw meowed. Tornpelt was shocked. He was going to be a father.

"At least they don't know they are mine." Tornpelt shrugged. Twistedpaw glared at him. "What? What did I do?"

"Nothing." Twistedpaw meowed. "I love you."

Tornpelt wove around her and nuzzled her cheek. "I love you too."
