After flying for a few days, the Gaang was now the closest they've ever been to the North Pole as they were currently in a cold mountain range surrounded by snow. Sokka and Katara were wearing their Parka's due to the cold weather while Aang and Dijin were wearing their normal clothes.
They were sitting around a campfire with some other travelers as a man told a story about some Air-benders his Great-Grandfather saw. As they listened Dijin was hugging his chest and shivering not used to the cold temperature.
Dijin then sneezed saying "ACHOO!" he then sniffled and looked at Katara asking like a whiny child "Katara. Is that thing you were making for me done yet?"
Katara who was sitting next to him was sewing some cloth in her lap as she said "Almost done, it just needs a few more stitches." she then threaded the needle a couple more times before biting the excess String with her teeth saying "All done!"
she then handed the bundle of cloth to Dijin who quickly grabbed it and put it on himself revealing Katara had made him a Poncho that covered his whole upper body.
Sokka looked at the poncho and suddenly shouted "Hey wait a minute! You made that out of our tarp for the tent!"
Katara glared at her brother saying "So? We're almost to the North Pole and Dijin doesn't have any warm clothing."
Sokka was going to argue more but he decided to just let it go since the deed was already done.
Dijin then looked over at Aang as he held his hands near the fire saying "Aang, how the hell are you not cold right now?"
Aang looked at him and shrugged his shoulders saying "The Air Nomads designed our robes to be insulated. So, they trap our body heat keeping us warm in cool temperatures."
Dijin just started grumbling about monks and magic clothing before the man who was telling stories showed up jingling his hat in front of them asking for donations.
Aang happy to have heard some stories about the Air nomads reached into his pocket and pulled out a copper piece and tossed it in the man's hat.
The man seeing the piece growled slightly saying under his breath "Cheapskates."
He then went to collect more donations as Aang walked up to him wanting to thank him for the stories.
Once he was close Aang started to say "Thank yo-"
But he was cut off by the man who held his hat out from behind saying "Want to hear me talk more, then add some more coins to the hat."
Dijin pissed at the man walked over while signaling Aang to be quiet. Once he was close enough Dijin grabbed a handful of coins from the man's hat and then dropped them loudly back into it.
The man hearing the loud clank turned around and saw Dijin then he saw the coins in his hat so he quickly said "Thank you so much sir! How may I be of service?"
Dijin just pointed at Aang who was bent over trying to hold in his laughter at how easily Dijin tricked the man. Dijin then said "Answer anything my friend asks you, that should be fine."
The man nodded his head before turning towards Aang who finally composed himself and started to say "It means a lot to me to hear Air-bender stories. It must have been a hundred years ago when your great-grandpa met them."
The man looked insulted as he said "What are you talking about? Great-grandpappy saw the Air-walkers a week ago."
Aang and the others all had wide eyes before Aang rushed the man grabbing his collar and saying desperately "Where!? Where did he see them!"
The man surprised by the boys actions tried getting him to let go as he said "I don't know where exactly. He saw the Air-walkers at some temple on a mountain range north of here."
Aang let the man go and turned towards the others who had gathered behind him. Aang then said with hope "You guys we have to go to the Northern Air Temple. My people might have survived!"
Katara stepped forward saying "Aang I know how this sounds but don't get your hopes too high."
Aang just looked determined as he said "I have to know. If there's a chance some Air Nomads survived then I have a duty to protect them."
Katara smiled at Aang before saying "Well I guess we're making a small detour then."
Sokka and Dijin slumped forward groaning as Aang smiled at Katara before all four of them went to find Appa and prepare for an early take off.

After leaving their camp early that morning the Gaang was currently flying on Appa heading to the Northern Air Temple. The sun was currently out showing they had been flying for a few good hours.
Aang excited they were getting close said "We're almost at the Northern Air Temple. This is where they had the championships for Flying Bison polo."
Katara starting to get excited as well leaned back in the saddle while looking at Sokka and Dijin saying "Do you think we'll really find Air-benders?"
Dijin who was curled into a ball trying to keep warm replied "I don't know. It's definitely possible that some Nomads were able to escape Sozin's purge."
Katara smiled at Dijin's answer and looked at her brother saying "What about you Sokka? What do you think?"
Sokka who was whittling a statue of something the others couldn't recognize said dryly "Do you want me to be like you or totally honest?"
Katara a little upset at the jab said agitated "What are you saying? That I'm a liar?"
Sokka looked at her dryly and said "I'm saying you're an optimist." he then shrugged his shoulders and went back to whittling saying "Same thing, really."
Katara and Dijin just glared at Sokka and his attitude before Aang shouted from Appa's head "Hey, guys, look at this!" The group then looked in front of them and saw an amazing site.
On a mountain peak surrounded by snow was a collection of pointed towers that formed together to make separate buildings and other structures. Throughout the structures there seemed to be what looked like smoke that was billowing out in some areas.
However, what had Dijin, Sokka, and Katara the most amazed were the people flying around the Temple with gliders similar to Aang's.
Aang on the other hand looked at the flying individuals and leaned back pouting with an angry frown while Katara shouted "They really are Air-benders!"
Aang replied in a bitter tone saying "No, They're not."
Dijin not understanding what Aang meant asked "What do you mean they're not? We are literally seeing them fly right now."
Aang replied with "Gliding maybe but not flying. You can tell by the way they move they're not Air-bending. Those people have no spirit."
Suddenly they heard the sound of someone laughing and had to quickly duck down lest they get hit by a gliding teenager in a wheelchair.
Katara seeing how much fun the young teenager was having smiled and said "I don't know Aang that kid seemed pretty spirited to me."
The Teenager came back around and did a loop-de-loop next to Aang and glided forward. The teenager then looked back at Aang with a smirk as if challenging him to do better.
Aang answered with a smirk of his own before unfolding his glider and taking to the sky.
As Aang flew after the teen in the wheelchair the others were suddenly surrounded by other youths in gliders that were different from Aang's own glider as they were bulkier with large tail-ends.
Appa thrown off by all the flying teens roared in distress and turned a little too fast making Dijin and Katara fall backwards into Sokka.
Dijin then said in a panic "Someone please land Appa before my worst nightmare becomes my even worse reality!"
Sokka pushed Dijin and Katara off of himself and said "Agreed. Let's find land before it finds us."
Sokka then quickly moved to grab Appa's reigns and started to steer him towards a platform on one of the many towers that made up the Temple.
Once the Trio landed Dijin jumped off of Appa and started kissing the stone ground saying "Sweet, Sweet Earth. Please don't ever change."
The Water Tribe siblings just ignored him as they watched Aang have a gliding contest with the wheel-chaired teen.
The teens who had been flying around Appa had landed as well and were watching the contest in earnest. One of the youths even shouted "Go, Teo! Show that bald kid how it's done!" Identifying the wheel-chaired teen.
Up in the sky Teo and Aang were doing loop-de-loops and then they turned their gliders sideways going in circles before they started to climb upwards circling each other. Then suddenly they separated closing the wings of their gliders and started to free dive. then when they reached a certain altitude, they opened their gliders again the air taking them into the sky.
The teens and the Water Tribe siblings cheered at the display of skill and bravery while Dijin was pale as a ghost watching it all.
Aang and Teo were flying next to each other as Teo said "Your pretty good."
Aang just looked unfazed and said "Yeah, but I can do more than fancy gliding."
Aang then glided next to the outer wall of the temple before throwing his glider forward and jumping onto the wall using Air-bending to run fast across the surface. He then jumped curling his legs inward before Air-bending his signature Air-scooter and riding it along the wall before jumping off the wall and grabbing his glider taking to the sky again.
Aang flew next to Teo again who said "Wow, I'll admit I can't do that." He then smirked and said "But I can do this." Teo then glided upwards while pulling a lever on his chair releasing a container of smoke.
Teo then began to glide in different directions leaving a trail of smoke and when he was done there was now a crude drawing of Aang's head in the sky with his tongue sticking out.
Aang just had a dry look as he saw the picture while Teo glided next to him saying "What do you think?"
Aang just said in a deadpanned tone "It's great."
The two then glided down to the platform where everyone else was at with Aang landing softly on the ground and twirling his staff.
Teo however, landed with his wheelchair sliding across the stone floor until he pulled a lever activating his chairs breaks making him slide to a stop.
Once he was fully stopped some teens came over and removed the glider from his wheelchair as he then wheeled himself over to the Gaang saying "Hey, you're a real Air-bender. You must be the Avatar." Teo then put his hands on his head in amazement while saying "That's amazing! I've heard stories about you."
Aang just rubbed the back of his head awkwardly saying "Thanks."
Sokka chose then to speak while walking over to Teo's chair and glider saying "Wow! This glider chair is incredible." Sokka then started to inspect the glider seeing how it was designed.
Teo smiled at Sokka's interest while saying "If you think this is good, wait until you see the other stuff my Dad designed." Teo then wheeled himself towards the entrance to the Temple with Aang and the others following him.
Once they were inside, they were greeted by such a unique sight. The Temple was surrounded by a network of metal pipes that let out steam every so often. Some of the pipes had even been stabbed through some of the antique statues and artwork surrounding the Temple. There were gears and other machinery lining the walls as well and there even looked to be a working mechanical elevator that wasn't made of Earth which someone climbed into.
Aang looked at the metal pipes that were penetrating some statues and artwork and started to get depressed seeing the remnants of his people being disrespected in such a way.
Sokka looked at the mechanics in wonder saying "Wow! This is amazing!" before taking off to go investigate.
Dijin noticed a change in temperature inside the Temple and asked "How is it so warm in here when it's freezing outside?"
Teo just chuckled saying "That's because of my Dad, He's the mastermind behind this whole place. Everything is powered by hot air. That's what keeps it warm inside while also giving us extra lift outside when we're gliding."
Aang just continued to look around and said "This place is unbelievable."
Teo thinking Aang was complementing his father's work said "Yeah. It's great isn't it?"
Aang just glanced at Teo saying "No. Just unbelievable."
Teo frowned at Aang's words while Katara walked over to him saying "Aang used to come here a long time ago. I think he's a little shocked it's so different."
Dijin walked up to the two adding his two cents saying "More like desecrated if you ask me."
Katara glared harshly at Dijin and shouted slightly "Dijin! Don't be so rude!"
Dijin just raised an eyebrow before pointing at the pipes that were penetrating the artwork surrounding them and said "What? All this artwork and masonry was done by the Air Nomads a 100 years ago and Teo's father destroyed it without a second thought. How is that not desecration?"
Katara was about to argue more until Sokka exclaimed "Who cares how it used to be. It's so much better now!"
Dijin and Katara instantly started glaring at Sokka their previous anger at each other gone and replaced by anger for him.
Dijin and Katara's attention was brought back to Aang however, as he stared at a destroyed mural saying "This is supposed to be the history of my people." Aang then held his head down in sadness while Katara approached him. Katara then went to grasp his shoulder caringly but he walked away to look at an altered Sky Bison fountain.
The fountain itself was a statue of a Sky Bison with two large horns, a large number of eyes that covered the top portion of its head, it had its mouth open, and in its six limbs it held what looked like a ball of Air. However, what made the Fountain so different was that instead of water flowing down the fountain it had a lime green liquid flowing down into it that was bubbling.
Aang stared at the liquid and statue in disappointment before black smoke suddenly billowed out from the statues mouth causing Aang to jump back and exclaim in shock saying "Ugh! Gross!"
Katara walked up to him again and was able to hold his arm caringly while saying "I'm sure there has to be some parts of the Temple that are the same."
Djin walked forward next saying with a smile "Yeah. I'm sure if we just look around, we'll find something. You've been here before right? So, lead the way."
Aang smiled at his friend's encouragement before walking towards a door heading to a bridge outside and said "Maybe your right. I know this one spot that should be untouched." Dijin and Katara then followed him along with Teo.
The group made their way across the bridge and into a circular building that appeared to have been a dormitory for the nomads 100 years ago.
The group went inside and were standing in a circular courtyard as they started to look around. The dormitory seemed to be untouched the rooms and statues having none of the mechanics that were in the main Temple.
Aang looked at the dorms with a small smile saying "It's nice to see at least one part of the Temple that isn't ruined."
Aang, Dijin, and Katara then stood in front of a statue of an Air Nomad elder admiring the craftmanship before they suddenly heard someone shout "Look Out!"
Then next thing the Trio knew the wall and statue were broken down from the outside a large boulder attached to a chain and trebuchet coming right at them.
Dijin quickly threw his arms out turning the debris into sand and stopping the boulder a few feet from the trio before clenching his fist turning it into sand as well.
Once the dust and sand settled the trio were greeted by a group of people walking forward with their leader being man who appeared to be in his early forties.
He was bald on the top of his head but had black hair in the back that was shaped like two horns, he had green eyes with a monocle over his left eye, he had black eyebrows that were all patchy and uneven, He had a large black bushy beard and mustache, he wore a green long sleeve shirt with puffy sleeves and brown buttons, he had green wrist bands that went over his sleeves and went to his forearms, on his left hand three of his fingers were replaced by wooden ones which were attached to a special harness, he had on green puffy pants with the bottoms stuffed into a pair of brown leather boots, and lastly he was wearing a white apron that had multiple pockets in the front that were filled with tools.
The leader saw the trio and said in surprise "What the doodle?! Don't you three know enough to stay away from construction sites? We have to make room for the bathhouse."
Aang looked at the remnants of the statue they had been looking at, its shards littering the ground around his feet. Aang then glared at the man harshly and shouted "Do you know what you just did? You just destroyed something sacred and untouched for 100 years and all for a stupid bathhouse!"
The leader not understanding or caring what he did was wrong waved his hand in front of nose saying "Well, some people around here are beginning to stink."
Aang furious at the man's disregard for his people's culture shouted "This whole fucking place stinks!"
Aang then roared before jumping up and slamming his staff down creating a large gust of wind destroying the man's construction equipment and sending it into the dark canyon below.
Katara, Sokka, and Dijin's jaws had hit the floor because never once had they ever heard Aang curse before as he started to breath heavy he was so angry.
Aang then pointed an accusing finger at the group leader saying "This is a sacred Temple. you can't treat it this way. I've seen it when the monks were here and everything you've done is nothing but an insult to my people and culture."
The group leader stared at Aang oddly saying "The Monks? But you look only to be about twelve."
Teo chose then to speak while wheeling himself next to the man saying in an embarrassed tone "Dad, he's the Avatar. He used to come here a hundred years ago."
The Leader now known as Teo's father stared at Aang in shock before Aang held his staff aggressively at him saying "Why are you doing these things to the Temple? Who said you could be here?"
Teo's father looked to side awkwardly saying "Doing here?" He then looked up as if trying to remember a distant memory before saying "A long time ago, but not a hundred years, my people became refugee's after a terrible flood."
Teo's father then walked behind his son and placed his hands on his shoulders saying "My infant son, Teo, was badly hurt and lost his mother. So, I needed somewhere I could rebuild."
He then waved his arms around saying "Then I stumbled across this place. Couldn't believe it. Everywhere pictures of flying people but empty. Nobody home. Then I came across these fan-like contraptions."
Aang crossed his arms angrily saying "Our gliders."
Teo's Father replied "Yes, little light flying machines. They gave me an idea, Build a new life for my son in the air. Then everyone would be on equal ground, so to speak." He then spoke with a smile saying "We're just in the process of improving what's already here and after all, isn't that what nature does?"
Katara and Sokka were crying at the man's story with Katara using Aang's cloak to wipe her tears.
Dijin understood where the man was coming from but his blatant disregard for religion and other cultures made Dijin not like him very much.
Aang was not happy with the man period so he walked up to him and said "Yes, but Nature knows when to stop."
Teo's father considered Aang's words then looked at the destroyed wall and said "I suppose that's true. Unfortunately, progress has a way of getting away from us." Teo's father looked at a candle with notches he had set up and exclaimed "Look at the time!" He then quickly turned to the other members in his group saying "Come. The pulley system must be oiled before dark."
Sokka excited about all the inventions Teo's father had made suddenly said "Hey, can I come with you. I absolutely love everything you've done with the place."
Teo's father just smiled at Sokka and said "If you love this stuff, wait till you see my finger safe knife sharpener. Only took me three tries to get it right." He then removed the wooden fingers from his harness and threw them at Sokka who caught them while screaming like a girl. Teo's father just laughed saying "Come along I have much to show you."
Sokka quickly followed the inventor to learn more while Teo himself wheeled himself over to Aang saying "Hey Aang, I wanna show you something I think you'll like."
Aang just still looked depressed as he said "What?"
Teo just smirked saying "I wanna keep it a surprise."
Aang just sighed before he felt someone grasp his shoulder. He looked to his right and saw Dijin who said "Come on Aang, I bet it'll cheer you up."
Katara then grasped his other shoulder saying "Yeah, plus on the way you can tell me, Dijin, and Teo a little more about the Temple and how it was a hundred years ago."
Aang smiled at his friends before he looked at Teo saying "Lead the way."
Teo smiled and turned his chair around saying "trust me. I think your gonna love this."
The group then followed Teo back into the main temple and to his destination.

Teo, Aang, Katara, and Dijin were walking down a deserted hallway to the place Teo had in mind.
As they were walking Aang started to say "I just can't get over it. There's not a single thing that's the same."
Teo suddenly spoke up seeing that they were nearing their destination saying "I don't know about that. The Temple may be different but the creatures who live here are most likely descendants of those from a hundred years ago." Teo then picked up Panda-hermit crab and handed it to Aang before wheeling himself forward saying "Plus there's this." Teo then pulled a rope which opened the metal shutters in the hallway.
Aang and Katara both had wide eyes and wide smiles seeing that the outside light revealed an Air-bender sanctuary door with an Air-bender lock in the center that looked like three Air-bending symbols in a triangle surrounded by a chorus of Sungi horns.
Dijin on the other hand had no idea what he was looking at and asked "What is it?"
Katara looked at Dijin smiling and said "It's a door only an Air-bender can open. Which means whatever is behind it is completely untouched." She then looked at Aang and said "Isn't that great news Aang?"
Aang just smiled while Teo spoke up saying "She's right. Only an Air-bender can open this door. So, whatever is inside its just as the monks left it but if I'm honest I've always wanted to know what's on the other side."
Katara and Dijin looked at Aang while Katara said "It's up to you Aang, can Teo see what's inside?"
Aang closed his eyes in thought before saying "I'm sorry. This is the last part of the Temple that's the same as it was. I want it to stay that way."
Teo had a resigned smile as he said "I completely understand. I just wanted you to know it was here."
Aang smiled at Teo saying "Thank you."
The group then headed back the way they came deciding to explore more parts of the Temple.

Down below in the catacombs of the Temple Sokka and Teo's father were walking down a dark staircase that led to a series of rooms at the bottom.
As the two walked Sokka let out a frustrated growl while looking at his lantern that was glowing a faint blue. Sokka then said aggravatedly "These lanterns are terrible. I can't see." Sokka then opened the top of his lantern revealing the light source to be Fireflies. Sokka then said curiously "Why would you want to use Fireflies for light?"
Teo's father saw what Sokka was doing and quickly shouted "Hey! Close that up. They'll get loose!" Sokka then hastily closed the top of his lantern while Teo's Father explained the lanterns saying "Fireflies are a nonflammable light source."
Teo's Father then led Sokka to a certain door that had all its cracks sealed with clay and what looked like some kind of glue. Teo's father then began check the glue-like substance looking for any openings. He then stepped back and turned to Sokka saying "Cover your nose and hold your breath." Teo's father then slid back a metal slide that was on the door letting Sokka and him look inside.
Sokka seeing nothing but a dark room said sarcastically "Ok. So You brought me all the way down here to see an empty room."
The inventor had a triumphant smirk and said "Wrong." He then then slid the slide back saying "It's filled to the brim with natural gas. I came across it my first time here, only I made the unfortunate mistake of bringing a lit torch down here. I almost blew my head off along with the whole place" He then pointed at his uneven eyebrows saying "luckily my eyebrows have mostly grown back though hahaha." He then got serious and said "Anyway, there's a vital problem that needs solving." Teo's father then looked at the door again saying "From time to time, we have gas leaks. And they're nearly impossible to find."
Sokka looked at the door as well and said "So, this place is an explosion waiting to happen."
Teo's father nodded his head saying "Yes. Until I figure out how to locate something I can't see, hear, smell, or touch."

Aang and the others were outside the Temple due to Teo convincing Katara to try gliding in one of their gliders.
Currently Katara was holding a glider getting ready to take off while Teo gave her words of encouragement saying "The wind will carry you. It supports something inside you, something even lighter than Air. And that something takes over when you fly."
Katara seeing how far down the drop was put her glider down saying "I've changed my mind. I think I was born without that something."
Teo just laughed and said "Impossible. Everybody has it."
Aang who was standing next to Dijin stepped forward to speak while Dijin himself just stood there hugging his body to keep warm.
Aang then said "Spirit.
Teo confused looked at Aang and said "What?"
Aang just looked at the sky then at Teo and said "That's the something you're talking about. Spirit."
Teo looked at the sky as well and said "Yeah. I suppose it is."
Katara after hearing Aang and Teo got her motivation back and got back into position with her glider.
Teo seeing her in position asked "Are you ready?"
Katara just shook her head and screamed "No! Ahhhh!" she then ran forward and leapt off the ledge of the temple the Air instantly catching her glider and making her fly.
Katara began to laugh in enjoyment as she soared through the sky feeling the wind blow past her face.
Teo and Aang seeing Katara enjoy herself grabbed their own gliders and went to join her. However, Teo noticed Dijin was just standing as far away from the ledge as possible and watching Katara fly with a look of concern.
Teo then made his way over and asked him "Did you want to try it too, Dijin?"
Dijin instantly paled and waved his hands at Teo saying "No, no, no, no. Those two can risk their lives all they want I'm perfectly fine right here on the solid earth thank you very much."
Teo gained a slight smirk saying "Your scared of heights, aren't you?"
Dijin frowned and said "Want some help taking off?"
Teo smiled and put his hands up in the surrender motion saying "Sorry, All I meant was some people who live here had that same problem but after being up here for a while the fear all but disappeared."
Dijin smiled slightly understanding what Teo was trying to do and said "I appreciate the thought but I have my reasons for not liking high places."
Teo nodded his head in understanding before opening his own glider and saying "Well if you change your mind the gliders are over there." Teo then pointed to a door leading to one of the many towers. Teo then wheeled himself off the ledge and took to sky flying after Aang and Katara.
Up in the Air Katara was laughing in pure enjoyment as she said "I can't believe I'm flying!"
Aang smiled at her before saying "Just make sure to keep your mouth closed so you don't swallow a bug."
Katara smiled and looked around her surroundings before saying "Teo was right about the Air. All I had to do was trust it, let it carry me."
Aang smiled as well before saying "Even though Teo's not an Air-bender, he really does have the spirit of one."
Aang then flew back down to the Temple to talk to Teo who had landed as well. Aang then walked up to him saying "I've been thinking. If you wanna see what's in that room, I'd be happy to open the door for you."
Teo gained a huge smile and said "Great. Thank you so much!"
However, before they could move on Katara shouted from the Air "Wait! How do I land this thing? Can I land over-" she started to cough and gag suddenly as she stuttered out "Blech! Bug. Bug. That was a bug." She then flew towards Aang and the others before gliding down to slow halt. Katara then removed her glider and walked over to the others saying "Ok. Let's go."
Aang smiled at Katara as Teo led Her, Dijin, and Aang back to the locked door.

Inside the Temple Sokka and Teo's father had made their way into one of the inventor's workshops and said inventor was currently working on some blue prints as Sokka explored the room.
Sokka went to grab a certain model he noticed but ended up knocking a few things off the shelf in the process. Teo's father then shouted "I told you not to touch anything!"
Sokka then dropped the model he was holding making some eggs that were inside it roll out and crack open somewhere hidden.
Teo's father quickly made his way over and started to pick things up saying "Oh, don't worry about all that. That's a model from an old experiment, and those eggs were from last week's lunch."
Sokka then took a sniff and covered his nose saying "Ugh! Week old egg smell!"
Teo's father then took a sniff and sure enough he could smell a strong aroma of rotten eggs. He then dropped what he holding saying "Quick, find that egg."
As the two searched the smell got stronger and Sokka couldn't help but say "How could something that's so small, you can't even see it, make such a big stink?"
Teo's father suddenly stood up saying "That's the solution to our gas problem!"
Sokka realizing where the inventor was going stood up as well and faced him saying "Yeah. If we put a whole mess of rotten eggs in the cellar where the gas seeps up..."
The Inventor finished Sokka's thought saying "The gas will mix with the smell of rotten eggs."
Sokka then finished the Inventors thought saying "Then if there's a leak..."
Teo's father then said "You'll smell rotten eggs. Then you just follow your nose to place the smell is coming from..."
Sokka then said "And plug up the hole where the gas is escaping."
They both then said at the same time "You're a genius!" however, there celebration was short lived as alarm started ringing in the workshop.
Teo's father's eyes widened realizing the alarm meant someone had found his secret workshop and quickly made his way out of the room saying "Something's wrong I have to go. Sokka please go to the kitchens I showed you and get some rotten eggs then throw them in the cellar." The inventor then disappeared into the temple leaving behind a confused Sokka.

Aang was standing in front of the Air-bending lock as Katara, Dijin, and Teo stood behind him waiting for him to open the door.
Teo excited to finally see what's behind the door said "I can't believe I'm finally going to see what's inside."
Aang just smiled at Teo's excitement before he rotated his body in a full circle twice and then thrusted both of his fists out Air-bending a huge blast of Air into the Sungi horns. The Air-current then traveled through the horns causing the Air-bending symbols on the door to flip over revealing hidden trumpets that made a thunderous noise before the room suddenly went quiet as the door creaked open. What the group saw next made them all gasp in shock as Dijin suddenly said "What the hell is this!?"
Behind the doors that they thought was untouched had actually been defiled in the most horrible way possible. The entire room was surrounded by mechanics and gears with weapons of all shapes and sizes hanging or lying about the room. There seemed to be blue prints for what looked like armored vehicles for soldiers to ride in and what looked like a large balloon. However, the most horrifying thing they saw was that the room was surrounded by a red curtain with Fire Nation flags and symbols proudly on display.
Aang seeing that Fire Nation's corruption even reached this place said "This is a nightmare."
Suddenly they all heard a voice behind them saying "You don't understand!"
The group turned around and saw Teo's father standing there with a guilty look on his face with Sokka not to far behind him.
Dijin just growled out "You traitorous bastard!" before he stomped his right foot and raised his forearm trapping the inventor in a cone of Earth up to his neck.
Aang then got in the trapped man's face shouting "Your making weapons for the Fire Nation!"
Sokka looked at the man he started to admire with shock and then rage as he said "You make weapons for the Fire Nation?!"
Teo's father struggled in his prison before saying "Please, let me go and I'll explain everything." However, what surprised all of them was Teo himself screaming "No! You're going to explain all this... Now!"
The Inventor looked at his son in shock before he lowered his head in shame saying "It was about a year after we settled here. Fire Nation soldiers found us and threatened to kill us all, you were too young to remember at the time Teo. I pleaded with them, I begged them to spare us so they asked me what I had to offer and so I offered them my services." The inventor then looked at Aang with tears going down his face saying "Please forgive me Avatar I only did it to protect my son."
Teo realizing he was basically the cause of the Fire Nation getting their hands on advanced weaponry just turned away from his father unable to look at him."
Dijin after hearing the inventors story punched his fist forward and pulled it back shattering the earth prison.
The Inventor just looked at his son in sadness before walking away with his head down in shame.

Teo's father was currently in his workshop before Dijin, Aang, and Teo opened the door and made their way inside.
Dijin then walked up to the inventor and said "When was your next shipment due."
The inventor thrown off by the question asked "What do you mean?"
Dijin grabbed the man's collar and growled out "When were you supposed to give the Fire Nation their next shipment of weapons!"
The Inventor held his hands up saying "Soon. Sometime today most likely."
Dijin let him go as Aang said "You can't give them more weapons."
The Inventor had a look of panic as he said "If I don't give them what they want, they will destroy this place."
Dijin spoke again saying "You said you started all this to protect your son but are you really protecting him when you're the very reason this war progresses further?"
Teo's father eyes widened at the implication as Teo wheeled himself forward saying "How can I be proud of you when your inventions are being used for murder?"
The Inventor seemed to consider their words until a bell started ringing and an elevator started to head up to their location. He quickly rushed them to the door saying "You need to leave. Go."
Dijin frowned and said "Not happening. This ends here and now."
The inventor then just made them hide behind a corner saying "Fine, just wait here. Please!" He then made his way to the center of the room where the elevator was coming to.
After a couple seconds the stone floor slid open revealing a hidden elevator and a Fire Nation Minister inside it. The Minister walked out the elevator saying "You know better than to keep me waiting."
The minister appeared to be man in his late forties with his hair being grey but done up into a top knot, he had a grey goatee that covered his chin and was a couple inches long, he wore a long-sleeved black robe with red accents and large cuffs, he wore black and red armor over his chest and shoulders with pointed shoulder pads, and lastly, he wore black and red boots with curved toes.
The minster sneered at Teo's father saying "Give me what you owe us so I can be on my way."
Teo's father looked down for a second thinking about what the trio had said before the minister growled out "Well? Is there a problem?" He then got in the inventor's face snarling at him.
The Inventor snapped out his stupor saying "No. Right this way." he then opened the door for the minister to walk through.
Aang and Dijin seeing that the Inventor wasn't going to stand up to the Fire Nation minister jumped into action.
Aang jumped up and used his staff to Air-bend a wave of Air at the door slamming it shut, while Dijin on the other hand rolled himself over into view and slammed his hand onto the stone floor Earth-bending the floor around the minister trapping him up to his neck in Earth.
The minister angrily shouted out "What is the meaning of this! You dare set me up for an ambush!"
Teo's father eyes widened at the sudden turn of events and he was about to say something until Aang spoke up in a cold tone "The deals off."
The minister saw Aang's tattoo's and instantly knew who he was saying "The Avatar. I guess I should have known you would have come here eventually."
Teo's father finally found his voice and looked at Aang and Dijin saying "Please you two, don't get involved."
Dijin just stood up and walked forward so he and Aang were standing in front of the minister as he said "We were involved the moment we found out your secret."
The inventor just looked down in shame as the minister spoke up again saying "You fools had better release me and give us our weapons or the might of the Fire Nation will destroy this place."
Aang frowned at the minister and said "you're not getting anything and no one is destroying anything either."
The minister just smirked and said "I know about your people's beliefs Avatar and despite the position I'm in now. I know you will not harm me and that you will most likely let me go."
Aang just growled and waved his hand to side Air-bending a small stream of Air to bitch-slap the minister and said "How's that for not harming you."
The Minister just chuckled and spat before saying "Like I said, your beliefs prevent you from doing anything to me."
Aang was about to hit him again until Dijin grabbed his shoulder and said "Allow me." Dijin then leaned forward and got in the minister's face and said ominously "Tell me this, what would happen if you didn't come back from this Temple."
The minister just raised an eyebrow at the question and said "My forces would destroy the Temple of course."
Dijin nodded his head before saying "And you came here alone without telling your men when you'd be back correct?"
The minister still confused said "Yes, so what does it matter? If you don't let me go your all going to die."
Dijin shook his head saying "Your wrong on three accounts." Dijin then leaned back saying "Your men have no idea when you're coming back. So that gives us at least a few hours to prepare for anything your mighty Fire Nation might have."
The minister was starting to sweat nervously as he listened to Dijin as he said "You say we have to let you go but right now your completely at our mercy."
The minister was scared now as he asked "And what's the third thing?"
Dijin just coldly stated "I'm not an Air-bender"
Dijin then punched his fist forward Earth-bending a slab of earth that slammed into the trapped minister launching him through the window. "AHHHHHHhhhhhh" the minister screamed his voice fading as he fell into the abyss below.
Teo's father ran to window and looked down before looking at Dijin and saying in a panic "What have you done!"
Aang walked forward saying "He's given us time to prepare. The Fire Nation was going to come eventually, it might as well be now."
The inventor was still panicking and said "But my people aren't fighters! Most are women and children!"
Dijin stepped forward next saying "But Aang and the rest of us are, and we have two of the smartest people I know planning our strategy."
Teo's father raised one of his patchy eyebrows saying "Who?"
Dijin smirked and said "You and the Water Tribe knucklehead currently messing around in your other workshop."
The inventor's eyes widened realizing what Dijin meant before Dijin said "Come on, let's go. We got a battle to win." Dijin then made his way out the door with the others closely behind him.

The Gaang, Teo's father, and Teo himself were gathered in the workshop again getting ready to plan their strategy.
Sokka after being told what had happened a little bit ago started by saying "This is bad. Very bad."
Katara spoke next saying "Guy's, what are we gonna do? How can we keep all of the Fire Nation soldiers away?"
Aang just had a confident smirk as he spoke next saying "I'll tell you how. We have something they don't." he then pointed at the sky through the window and said "Air-Power. That's one thing the Fire Nation can't do. We can win."
Teo's father spoke up next while placing a model of a balloon with a basket on the table saying "I've been working on a War balloon for the Fire Nation and it's finally working thanks to Sokka." The inventor looked at Sokka with a smile saying "This boy is a genius."
Sokka just crossed his arms and closed his eyes with an arrogant smirk saying "Thank you. You're a genius."
The inventor just smiled as well saying "Thank you."
The others rolled their eyes at the two geniuses before Sokka spoke up again while grabbing the model and saying "See, the problem with the old war balloon was, you could get it airborne, but once you did, it just kept going."
Sokka then placed a small candle in the basket of the model and the balloon went up to the ceiling proving Sokka's point.
Sokka grabbed the model and spoke again saying "You could put a hole in the top, but then all the hot air would escape. So, the question became, how do you keep a lid on hot air?" Sokka then added a little device to the model and said "A lid is actually the answer. If you control the hot air you control the balloon." He then demonstrated his point with the model again making a lid on top open and close.
Katara looked at her brother with crossed arms as she said "Hmm, that's actually pretty smart."
Sokka smiled at the compliment before continuing by saying "Ok. We have four kinds of bombs. Smoke, slime, Fire, and-"
Teo's father cut him off saying "Stink! Don't underestimate the power of stink."
Dijin spoke last saying "Alright, we have our plan. Now time to put it in motion."
They all nodded in agreement before leaving the room to get everything ready.

The Temple residents and the Gaang had plenty of time to prepare for the upcoming attack and they were all currently in their battle positions. Teo, Aang, and Katara were standing with some other teens with their gliders, ready to take to the Air when needed, Sokka was with Teo's father prepping their trump card for the battle ahead, and Dijin was standing at the edge of the temple by the mountain side looking down.
As Dijin kept a look out he noticed something move down below. He squinted his eyes to get a better view before they widened recognizing the familiar black and red armor. Dijin quickly turned around and shouted "Here they come! Everyone get ready!"
Aang smirked and twirled his glider open before looking back at Teo and Katara saying "Are you guys ready?"
Teo's answer was to smirk and put on some googles while Katara just smirked and said "Right behind you, Aang."
Aang just smiled before taking off into the air the others following his lead.
On the mountain side with Dijin he saw that the soldiers were climbing up a path that led to the mountain. He then slid his right leg sideways while throwing his arm down diagonally in the same direction turning the Earth path that the soldiers were walking on into a giant stone slide.
The soldiers all slid and fell on top of each other before landing in a huge pile at the bottom of the mountain. But before they could recover the flying teens dropped sticky slime bombs onto them trapping them all in a pool of green goo.
The teens cheered that all the foot soldiers were taken out so quickly but their cheers turned into screams as giant grappling hooks with chains were fired at them before embedding themselves into the mountain.
Aang and Katara started to fly close to each other before Katara screamed "Aang! What are those things down there?" Aang confused at what she meant looked down and his eyes widened in slight fear.
Down below climbing up the mountain were what appeared to be giant metal armored vehicles. They had spikes protruding from the sides, front, and back, they had what looked like metal treads instead of wheels on the bottom, and on the top of the vehicle was an armored cockpit with slots on the sides so Fire-benders could shoot Fire through them.
Dijin saw the armored tanks recognizing them from the designs in the secret workshop and realized he wouldn't be able to do anything from his position. So, he quickly looked around for a way to get down the mountain and his gaze landed on the room full of gliders Teo told him about. Dijin seeing he had no other option and one word to sum up his situation "Shit."
Dijin then quickly ran into the room and grabbed a glider and went to the edge of the Temple. Dijin looked down and gulped at the sight of the dark abyss below. He then heard some explosions coming from down below and saw that the flyers were trying their fire bombs on the tanks but they weren't working. The Fire Nation was even starting to get the upper hand with some of their tanks actually climbing the steep mountain.
Dijin then hardened his gaze and said with slight fear "I really hate this shit!" He then ran forward and dove off the platform screaming in terror as he wobblily glided down to the battlefield.
Dijin wobbled left and right unable to keep his balance in the air when suddenly he was about to hit the mountain and he tried leaning hard in the other direction but the added weight sent him spiraling in a circle towards the ground. Dijin began screaming saying "Why did I do this!" before he suddenly slammed into a snow pile that had conveniently been made from the attack earlier.
Dijin popped out of the snow shaling like a dog before yelling "Arrrrg! Ok. That's It! Now I hate flying and the cold!" He didn't have long to grumble however, because the Fire Nation Tanks that were climbing the mountain were about halfway up.
Dijin quickly raised his Forearm up Earth-bending a boulder before he splayed his hand open turning the boulder into a Lava-buzzsaw. Dijin then threw his hand towards the tanks that were climbing the buzzsaw following his command. The buzzsaw cut through the tank's chains like a hot knife through butter sending the tanks plummeting to their doom as they exploded from the impact. Dijin then ran forward and got in front of the remaining tanks.
The soldiers all started to focus their fire on Dijin who raised his arms up while slamming his right foot Earth-bending a ten-foot wall in length and width blocking the incoming fire. Dijin then jumped up with all his might getting a few feet in the air before he let out a mighty roar "RAHHHHH" he screamed before he slammed both his fists into the Earth creating a massive wave of lava engulfing the tanks. However, he was blown back as a giant grappling hook embedded itself a few feet from him. Dijin quickly recovered and his eyes widened at seeing another battalion of tank's ready for combat.
Before Dijin could do anything though, Sokka along with Teo's father showed up in the completed War balloon dropping large amounts of sticky slime onto the tanks trapping them. Soon all the tanks were disposed of due to a few well-placed bombs, at least until two battalions of foot soldiers and another battalion of tanks began making their way to Dijin and the temple.
In the War balloon Sokka noticed Dijin and the Temple were in trouble and shouted "Dijin and the others need help but we're out of bombs!"
Teo's father sniffed the air and said "Do you smell that?"
Sokka smelled the air too and he smiled brightly saying "It's rotten eggs!" He then looked at the furnace that was helping them fly and had a brilliant Idea and started to disconnect the furnace to send it plummeting into the mountain.
Teo's father noticed what he was doing and said "What are doing? This is our fuel source."
Sokka just looked the inventor with a determined frown saying "It's the only bomb we got. Now come help me." the inventor realizing Sokka was right started to help him sent the furnace over the side of the basket.
Aang seeing what Sokka and the inventor were doing from his spot in the air quickly dove down to Dijin and said "Dijin. Quick, grab on. Sokka's planning something big."
Dijin just groaned before running forward and grabbing Aang's ankles with Aang getting Dijin out of there just in time as Sokka and Teo's father dropped the furnace into the mountain setting off a chain of explosions killing any Fire-benders who were in the blast zone as well as destroying any tanks that were there too.
When the dust settled a portion of the mountain was missing but the Fire Nation was in full retreat and it seemed they wouldn't be back anytime soon.
Everyone started to cheer for their victory but it was short lived as they all heard Sokka screaming "We're going down!" and then everyone saw the war balloon starting to plummet to the earth at a fast rate.
Aang who just finished dropping off Dijin grabbed his glider again saying "I'm on it." before taking to the sky.
Aang quickly glided to Sokka and Teo's father and once he got close enough, he shouted "Jump on! I got you guys."
Sokka quickly jumped out the plummeting balloon grabbing one of Aang's ankles while Teo's father hopped on top of Aang's glider. Aang then quickly said "Hang on." before air-bending them away from the balloon and up towards the Temple at a fast rate.
Soon they landed safely with Katara running up to them to hug her brother glad he was okay. Everyone started to cheer again now that everything had calmed down with the Gaang joining in.
After a couple hours of cleaning up the Gaang was getting ready to leave and Aang was saying his final goodbyes to Teo and his father saying "You know what. I'm really glad you guys all live here now. I realized your all like a hermit crab. Maybe you weren't born here, but you found this shell and made it your home, and now you protect it and each other."
Teo smiled saying "That means a lot coming from you."
Aang just smiled at the father and son while Sokka spoke up saying "Aang, you were right about air power. As long as we got the sky; we'll have the Fire Nation on the run."
The residents cheered at Sokka's words as the Gaang climbed onto Appa to continue their journey.
Forest near the Northen Air Temple: same time
A battalion of Fire-benders were currently surrounding the remains of Teo's father war balloon and were inflating it with Fire-bending. Some soldiers broke rank as their commander walked forward into the light of the Fire revealing admiral Zhao as he said "The Avatar thought he would always be safe in the sky. He's about to quickly find out he's not safe anywhere." just as he finished his statement the balloon had inflated enough to reveal the Fire Nation emblem it had on its side as if foreshadowing a dark future.
