A/N: I really hope that whoever's reading this story is loving it just as much as I am with writing it, its definitely taking me on a rollercoaster ride of sorts and I can not wait to see what happens to our characters in this chapter.

"So I guess this is home for the time being..?"

Wanda glanced around the high rise apartment which was situated on the edge of the Sokovian city, thankfully it was fairly sturdy and did have some amenities that the twins had not experienced for a while.

Michael had noticed Wanda's memories begin to fade, it seemed as though whatever power brought them back to this time, is also removing any fragment of memory of her time when she was carrying the twins and her time in America with the Roger's family.

He however still remembered and was trying his hardest to keep her memory of the events alive, she would reluctantly agree with him that her memories are most likely important but shrugged it off regardless as she never enjoyed that time and now she has a second chance, she can rewrite the future and she can finally have the power of choice again.

"There is only one bedroom.." Pietro came into the living area where Wanda and Michael were standing rather awkwardly, he cocked an eyebrow at the scene but shrugged it off as he carried on to finish his sentence "I am guessing that we will be.. how you say 'topsy tailsy' the sofa..?" Pietro grinned at Michael as he imagined how Wanda would feel about the situation, he glanced over to his sister and couldnt help but notice her nose flaring and the slight shade of scarlet reaching her irises she was getting jealous.

"No, Pietro and I will topsy tailsy the bed and.. you will take the sofa.. alone" Wanda interjected reluctantly and let out a rather pouted sigh. What was wrong with her?! She began scolding herself as the image of Michael standing on the balcony of the compound, topless, wings billowing in the breeze.. his muscular structure..-

"Thank you Wanda but I am ok as I dont sleep" His words broke her train of thought as she glanced toward him rather dumb struck.

"How can you not sleep? Everyone sleeps" Pietro questioned the winged being rather skeptically

"..But during that week after we met, didnt you sleep at all?" Wanda found herself trying to recall the memories of her time in America, before the time paradox but sadly came up short, she just couldnt remember much about that time, unless it involved Michael's God like body.

"I spent the time reading, I've never felt the need to sleep, or eat for that matter" Michael stated rather matter-of-factly and Pietro couldnt help but ask about his accent.

"So what? Are you a british robot?" Wanda laughed at Pietros question and watched as Michael began to falter as he tried to answer.

"I am not sure what I am, but I do know that I am not human.." he let out a soft and saddened sigh, Wanda couldnt help but notice and peaked her interest as he carried on "I might be a monster, I wouldn't know if I were one, but I do know that I have feelings, I can enjoy things and feel sadness.. but to answer your question honestly, I was created.."

Wanda reached out a hand to hold Michaels as he finished his explanation, he looked to her and let out a smile before walking away just before her scarlet tendrils could reach out to his mind.

Michael was laying on the sofa, looking up at a crack that was in the ceiling as he thought about the events that had happened thus far.

Wanda Maximoff

The reality stone

Pietro Maximoff

The space stone

What could it all possibly mean? Why was he sent here? Is it all a part of a bigger plan, one that he hasn't thought of?

He found himself trailing off in thought

Why do I only react to Wanda? Shouldn't I also react to Pietro if it is the stones that are causing the connection?

"Michael..?" He snapped out of his thoughts and sat up to see Wanda standing before him, the moon glimmering over half of her body, slight streaks of red and amber cascaded through her hair as the light shone above it, she seemed to be wearing a t-shirt that was far too big on her as it came to just above the knee, Michael gulped instinctively and quickly snapped his thoughts away from her body.

"Yes Wanda, are you ok?" He watched as the young woman came to sit next to him, she looked rather sleepy and angry, he couldnt help but smile at the sight.

"Pietro snores, and tonight its come with a vengance" She yawned as she leaned her head back against the sofa as she glanced up towards him.

"I would have imagined that you were used to it?" Michael questioned with a quirked brow. Wanda watched his lips as he spoke and found herself wanting so badly to reach up and meet those lips with her own, she remembered how it felt when her fingers had brushed against them earlier that day and couldnt help but imagine what a kiss would feel like..

She closed her eyes

Leaned up

...and... where did he go..?

She peeked an eye open and saw that Michael had moved faster than Pietro and was now standing infront of the window, the moon casting a silhouette around him.

He had noticed Wanda's demeanor change on the sofa and thought it best to move before he allowed anything risky to happen, he knew about what she had been through before and he would hate for her to feel that way again, she needed to know what she wanted before blindly jumping into something, especially with everything that was going on.

Wanda looked down, feeling overwhelmingly saddened by the thought of him rejecting her, she stood quickly, averting her eyes from his as she spoke "I'm sorry... I shouldn't have done that.. I'm sorry..." She ran out of the room and locked herself away in the bathroom as she willed the tears to remain safely within her eyelids, why did it feel like her heart had shattered?

Michael noticed the tone in her voice as she spoke and felt like he had been struck by lightning, why did it make his heart falter when he heard how sad she was, the thought of her locked up in a cold bathroom, clearly upset because of his actions was too much for him to bear.

Wanda slid down the bathroom door, bringing her knees to her chest as tears cascaded down her face "I'm such a fool... he probably hates me now.." she sobbed into her knees.

"Wanda" she felt the door press against her back as it was being pushed open from the other side, she moved to allow the person entry. She shifted her gaze to the floor and began swirling the rings that adorned her fingers.

"That was dumb of me, I'm sor-"

She was caught mid sentence by Michael's tender embrace, she was taken aback as she could feel him caress her cheek, forcing her eyes to meet his.

His eyes were dark and his face seemed almost scarlet as he slowly brought his head to rest against hers, not diverting his gaze from hers, she swallowed as she forbid her body from moving closer, not wanting to experience the shame of rejection again.

Michael had noticed the conundrum that he had created and smiled as he cupped both her cheeks and brought her closer to him, closing the gap between their lips.

Wanda was surprised by how quickly the kiss had happened, as soon as their lips touched, the second she closed her eyes to indulge in the feeling of his touch, he was gone.

Wanda peeked her eyes open, her mouth still puckered and blinked a few times in confusion did that just happen?
