Chapter: 11: Friendship

*note: jay sings. That is the point of this chapter.*

*Jay's POV*

"Where is Twilight?" I ask father as he pats my shoulder in congratulations for winning against Midna.

"Outside. Do you want me to tell you when Midna wakes up?"

"Yes, please." I say.

I go see Twilight.

"Twilight," I begin. "I want to surprise Rami with something, but I don't know what to do." I say.

"Rami is the kind of girl that doesn't like materialistic things. I say that you write a song for her." He says.

"A song? I'm shit at singing!" I say, embarrassed.

"I've heard you sing Jay! You're better than Time!"

Time, hearing his name, comes over.

"You call me?" He asks.

"No, but I'm glad you came!" Twilight says.

"What do you need?"

"I want to surprise Rami, but I don't know what to give her." I say.

"Sing for her. You are the best singer I've ever heard." He says.

"Ok, well, what song?" I ask.

"Sing anything you want. She will love it. I promise." Time says.

"Ok." I say.

I go to purah's lab.

"Purah? You home?" I say.

"Over here!" I hear from up stairs.

I went over to see that Purah was building a new extension to her house.

"I am building a basement for an astral observatory." She says

"Oh cool!" I say.

"Could you hand me the luminous stone over there?" She asks

"Sure." I say handing the stone to her. "I came for some advice on what to sing for Rami."

"You mean that new girl that I saw in town? Black and red hair? Nice bracelet?"

"Yep."

"Well, what do you love most about her?"

"Everything." I say bluntly.

"Do you have a nickname for her?"

"No…"

I look at the astral observatory's star patterns.

"Why are those patterns there?"

"To map the stars. They guide us. Stars are a heavenly object, inspiring Sheika and Hylians alike."

Like a bolt of lightning, inspiration strikes.

*That night near the pond next to the horned statue*

"Rami, I wrote a song for you. It's a short one yes, but I put my heart into it. I hope you like it. It's called 'My Star'

You are my star, my bright, beautiful, beacon of light.

Shining bright against the night.

No matter how far, I'll always be there for you.

You are my guiding star, I'll be with you no matter how far away.

You light my world, you brighten my day.

"Thank you, Jay. I love it. Your singing is amazing!" She says lovingly.

I kiss her on the cheek.

She grabs me, pulling me on her.

As we fall into the shallow water, she kisses me. On the lips.

God I love her. She is amazing. I think to myself.

We fall asleep together. I feel so happy.

*that morning*

I wake up in bed. Was all that a dream? I soon realize my sheets are wet. Either Jack wet the bed, or it wasn't a dream. I see Rami next to me, hair wet.

Thank the goddess that wasn't a dream! I wake her.

"Rami, wake up. You're still wet from last night!"

She shoots up. Shifting into wolf form, she shakes all her fur.

"Thanks, Rami." I say sarcastically.

"I'll help with that." She says.

She tells me to get out of bed and shift into my wolf form.

When I do that, she licks me clean.

After I get Jack up, I go outside to find Twilight, sitting by the fire. I sit down next to him.

"Hey Twilight. How are you?"

"Oh, hi Jay. I'm good."

"I miss the others." I say.

I hear screaming from above me. As I look up I see a familiar pirate as the others land on me. Twilight laughs.

"That's karma for ya!" He laughs.

"Ow! My head!" I say.

Twilight looks scared. "Y-Your horn! It's broken!"

I instantly realize it is.

Then I see wind with a quarter of my horn jammed into his stomach.

I'm feeling faint.

I black out.

I'm in the dreamscape.

I see the old me.

The weak me.

"Hello Jay." It says

"Shut up."

"Jay, I want to be part of you. Merge with you."

"Why would you want to be with me! I am your enemy's son!"

"Not anymore. I have seen the love that father has given you. I see that he isn't evil."

"You are trying to trick me!"

"All our life we have only wanted to have a father. I have found one now."

"Y-You want to be with me?"

"Yes. I want to make us stronger than ever! I'll even allow you to use malice on me."

"Deal."
