Obi-wan found them on the roof a few hours later. The reason they had not come to find him was clear. Sahl had fallen asleep and was using Cody's shoulder as a pillow.
"General." Cody's voice was professional but Obi-wan noticed Cody didn't come to attention. Probably not to disturb Sahl.
Sitting down on Cody's other side Obi-wan asked, "How long has she been asleep?"
Cody looked at his chrono, "About two hours now sir." Then as if explaining, "I thought it best to let her sleep."
Nodding in agreement Obi-wan relaxed against the wall. Shal still hadn't been sleeping much, and she really did need it. Seeing Cody watching him, "She has confided in you again."
It was not a question, "Yes sir." Swallowing before he answered, "She said that the Crechemaster let the Dark Woman take her."
Tilting his head Obi-wan answered, "That Crechemaster was found unconscious the night Sahl was taken." Looking at Cody, "She said she had no memory of the incident."
Thinking aloud Cody answered, "So either the Dark Woman was lying…."
"Or the Crechemaster is," Obi-wan finished. Then added, "But the force could also factor into this."
Cody nodded. Then he stopped all movement an watched as Sahl stirred. The teen snuggled closer and pressed her forehead against his neck before falling asleep again. Who had lied, and did they use the force to get away with it?
