Bellon

A couple days have passed and we were living peacfully underground. Elliot seemed to have recovered, but not a day went by that I noticed how distant Elliot's eyes are. I began to wonder how Eddie was doing. And I realized I have been away too long. I decided to secretly leave the place. Elliot and Abraham were both talking and giggling at jokes with other kids who sat with them in the bonfire, and I left swiftly towards the exit.

As I was getting there, I was stopped by a voice. "Bellon, hold on!" It was Ronnie, and behind her was Elliot and Abraham. I thought they were having a good time.

"Where the hell do you think your going?" asked Elliot.

"I'm going to continue my search for Eddie guys. It's been days, and I want to go on and look. I know he's alive and well. But I must go out and search." I said.

Ronnie smiled and placed her hand on my shoulders. "We're going with you. I don't care what happens to me, but I will help you find your brother." said Ronnie.

"Cheer Heart Bear made it clear that together we are strong. We can't let you leave and suffer Techno City's wrath." said Elliot.

"Techno? There is nothing techno about this place. Unless you go to the rich side of the city where the highly advanced casinos are, but that's it." said Abraham.

"You guys..." I said aloud.

The four of us went out and back into the cold dark world. And eventually we found ourselves in a garden. A very big and unnatural looking garden with plants that looked human.

"Keep your guard up." said Elliot.

I walked on ahead and heard rolling balls from a roulette wheel. "I think the rich district is close ahead." I said.

"The biggest casino isn't too far from here. It's called the Casino Royal or something like that." said Ronnie.

"The owner is none other than the greedy mayor himself." said Elliot.

"The mayor is such a poop head." said Abraham.

"He is. He truly is." replied Elliot.

Just then, we heard a loud thump next to us. "What was that?" I asked aloud.

Ronnie took a peek and screamed. "What!" we all cried. We took a look and we saw a dead body on the ground! It had fallen from the building. But it wasn't just any body we found. It was actually the old Mayor's body! He was dead!

"What on Earth!" cried Ronnie.

Just then, another body fell. This time, of a rich woman. And then another. Soon, dead bodies were raining on us! The four of us ran as fast as we could to get out off the large field of plant life and we got ourselves out into the neon lit street of Techno City Central. It was place full of vice and sin. Signs with triple Xs were everywhere, words like Bar was also well lit and drunk rich folk were walking around saying garbage at one another. Honestly, this place was no different from the poor districts back home.

"Why were those bodies being thrown over?" asked Elliot as he opened some grass to look. I took a peek with him and there, on the grass was one of Wolfsheim's men.

"Huh. Is Wolfsheim dead?" I asked.

"Unlikely. I think he's got something to do with this." said Elliot.

"Or it could be you know who?" said Abraham.

"This building here... is it the Casino?" asked Ronnie.

"Nope. This building is Wolfsheim's." I said. And it all made sense. Under our noses, we just found out who was dumping the bodies.

"Maybe he has your brother." said Elliot.

"He does work for the monster after all." said Abraham.

"I'm ready to kick some ass." I said.

"How? Elliot can use trees, Abraham can use letters from books and I can Karate chop. How about you?" asked Ronnie.

"I can... good point." I said.

Just then, something began to happen. My chest began to glow.

"Bellon? What's up with you?" asked Elliot.

"Your chest... it's glowing." said Abraham.

"It is!" cried Ronnie.

I looked down and yes, my chest was glowing. But from my heart. Then, a small light appeared before it and it went inside the building.

"Let's follow it!" I cried.

The four of us got inside the wierdly empty building and the light bulb led us to the stairs. We ran up to chase after it and it eventually took us to an office. Wolfsheim's office.

Elliot, Abraham and Ronnie stood their ground as the light stopped right in front of Wolfsheim himself, standing there.

I was dumbfounded and didn't say a word. "You must be Tender Heart. A pleasure to meet you." said Wolfsheim.

"Tender Heart? As in Tender Heart bear? I'm not Tender Heart." I said.

"You don't know boy? Such a pity. I thought you did." said Wolfsheim.

"What are you talking about?!" I demanded.

"Young man, you must come with me. Lord No Heart felt you aura here, and he demands that you are to see him at once." said Wolfshiem.

"No way are you taking him!" cried Abraham summoning letters from a book. Elliot got his arms into branch mode and Ronnie stood in a fighting position.

"Lord No Heart only demands peace. He wishes to see you." said Wolfsheim.

"Why did that light ball brought me to you?" I asked.

"This light ball? I don't know. It just popped out of nowhere. I was about to search for you until you came along with your friends." said Wolfsheim.

"Then... What's going on?" I asked.

"I don't know child. But come with me. If you don't, I'll finish off your friends and dump their carcasses to the tall grass outside like I did the Mayor." said Wolfsheim heartlessly.

"So you killed them!" cried Ronnie.

"Clever children." said Wolfsheim as he pulled a pistol from his pocket. Just then, out from one of the doors, a powerful blast emerged and pushed old man Wolfsheim out the window! The old man fell and that was the last we saw of Wolfshiem. The four of us turned to the closet door and outside stood a Care Bear. A brown one with a huge heart symbol on his stomach.

"Tender Heart Bear!" cried Ronnie.

Tender Heart looked at the four of us and smiled warmly. "Then it's true. You survived the fall! I'm very sorry child! I thought I killed you by accident." said Tender Heart.

"I survived! But now is not the time for happy reunions. Please help us." cried Ronnie.

Elliot and Abraham presented me to Tender Heart.

"You must be Bellon." he said with smile.

"Yes, I'm he." I said.

"I know your brother Eddie. He'll be so happy to see you." said Tender Heart.

"You know where he is?!" I cried. Tender Heart's ears lowered sadly.

"I have been out searching for you for days. Eddie was under my care, but I was careless. No Heart entered my sanctuary and took Eddie away again. They are at the Royal Casino." said Tender Heart.

"Oh my big brother! I must rescue him!" cried Bellon.

"Wait boy. You do not know the danger you are about to get involved in. To save your brother, you will have to go through an intense trial of both good and evil. No Heart forced your brother down an evil path. But there is hope to save him from his dark impulse." said Tender Heart.

"Eddie had dark impulse?" I asked.

"I'm surprised you know what it even is. Your brother had a high level of it in his heart, and No Heart saw this. He took it upon himself to take Eddie and make him the next No Heart. He already did unfortunately, but your brother is still in danger of himself and of No Heart!" said Tender Heart.

"We will rescue him!" cried Elliot.

"Yeah! Bellon is our good friend! We will help!" cried Abraham.

"Alas dear children, it cannot be possible. This is a journey Bellon alone has to take." said Tender Heart.

"What? But that's dangerous!" cried Ronnie.

"It's okay guys! I'll be fine. Whatever trial I'm going through, I'm sure I'll find a way to stop that monster." I said.

Elliot, Abraham and Ronnie hugged me tightly. "Whatever happens, we will be here waiting for you. We will fight alongside you." said Elliot.

"Don't hesitate to call us." said Abraham.

"We've been through so much together. Let this not be a goodbye." said Ronnie.

"I'll be fine." I said, trying not to break into tears.

"Bellon, one last thing... that light in your heart... do you know what that is?" asked Tender Heart.

"No... what is it? I have felt it a couple days ago, but I always thought it was a bruise from a fall or something." I said.

"Just as No Heart chose your brother to be his successor, I chose you to carry on the torch of Tender Heart." said Tender Heart Bear.

"What?" I asked.

Tender Heart looked at the four of us. "Children, the world is changing. The Care Bears have been forced to hide. But if all goes well, we can only hope that a new light and a new generation of young people would emerge to make the world a better place. Right now, we live in the dark ages where people are divided by one another and the dark impulse is on everyone's minds. But should we all do this... all of us could recreate a new future. But that is a talk for another time. Today and for now at least, let us focus on getting Eddie away from No Heart and keep him from hurting everyone else." said Tender Heart.

Elliot, Abraham and Ronnie looked at eachother with hope in their eyes and I was feeling uncertainty. I was the next Tender Heart. For now, that was all I needed to know. It won't be till much later that I learned the true importance of that title, and the true importance of my heart's power. But now was not the time to think about me. It was time to search for my big brother.
