To address a few things
-Samuel was misdiagnosed with Osteogenesis Imperfecta, but still has to get screened regularly
-I had no idea having Jo and Lexie be best friends would be so well received, the next time I have a chapter that is not focused on one couple, I will be sure to include it!
-In regards to Lexie's relationship with Sofia, it'll be explored thoroughly in tomorrow's Calzona centric chapter!
-Also, I just figured out what everyone is wearing for NYE and I am so so so excited to write for it lol
Please keep reviewing and enjoy this Merder Chapter!
Just as Meredith, Derek, Zola, Bailey, and Ellis walked into their hotel room, they were greeted by an unpleasant sight. A massive mountain of snow was awaiting them in what should have been their hotel room. It seems to be a result of the door that led out to the patio being left open, and quite a bit of snow flew in.
The 5 of them quickly closed the door to the hotel room, and headed back down to the main lobby to try and attempt to get a new room. To their dismay, all that was left was a tiny hotel room, made for 2 people. However, there were 2 of those available that were connecting rooms, and the Grey- Shepherd family quickly snatched them up. It was a major downgrade from their expected room, but Meredith and Derek really wanted to make some good last memories with their beloved Seattle friends turned family.
Meredith was going to miss Seattle and all the memories it held, but she was thrilled to let Derek have the chance to let his career flourish even more, the same way he had done for Meredith all those years back. When the 5 of them finally arrived at their hotel room, Zola quickly realized that having two rooms meant the 3 kids would be able to have sleepovers every night, and have their own TV.
Eventually, Bailey and Ellis caught on and the 3 of them quickly scrambled into their room. It was mutually agreed upon that Zola would have her own bed, and Bailey and Ellis would have to share a bed, which they begrudgingly agreed to. After the 5 of them made it in with all of their suitcases and Derek collapsed on his and Meredith's bed.
Looking over at his blonde children with stick straight hair he goes
"How did none of them get my hair? It's very great hair!"
"Derek, babe, they might not have gotten your hair, but all 3 of them got your personality. Like your exact personality just replicated and landed on all 3 of our children. Splat!" Meredith says, before flopping down on the bed next to Derek.
Somehow, he knew that she needed a foot rub and decided to go all "McDreamy" on her, and give her the feet rub, despite his absolute hatred for feet. Derek loved giving pleasure, and in more ways than foot rubs too.
After a very plain 15 minutes, 3 hungry and angry kids came into Meredith and Derek's bedroom, strongly requesting that they have dinner ASAP. Already knowing everyone's order, Derek picks up the phone and calls room service.
"Hi, this is Derek Shepherd in room 224 and 225, I was hoping to place an order with room service. It's a cheeseburger, strawberry milkshake, and fries for Meredith. Then it's an order of chicken nuggets, potato chips, and a lemonade for Zola. Okay, so next it's a hot dog kids combo with fries and a chocolate milk for Elle Belle. Then it's a Mac and Cheese with no side and a plain milk for Bailey. Sorry one more thing! Then it's another cheeseburger, French fries, and Caramel Milkshake for Derek. Room charge please? Thank you!" Derek hangs up the phone and gets thumbs up of approval from his whole family.
The food was ready so quick and the family turned on ELF, a Grey- Shepherd family classic, eating their food, soaking in the moment.
