She landed on the roof of Captain Kyouraku's office and quietly looked around, spreading her net to try and find him. Most officers were asleep in their quarters, and Rin looked up to the moon. It was really late. She was relieved tomorrow was a day off, even if it was her last before she started training.
"Oh, I must be dreaming again." Rin was too engrossed with the moon to notice him approaching her. She looked down to see the Captain standing under a peach tree, holding his hat and looking up at her. "Come down, beautiful." Rin grabbed the bottle and packaged snacks she had brought and hopped down from the roof.
"I got distracted by the moon." Rin spoke quietly, not knowing if there were barracks nearby.
"I can see that." The Captain was over a head taller than her and had a warm smile. Rin motioned to her hands.
"I brought you a little something, as an apology for sneaking into your office, and as a thank you for the lunch with my brother." His fingers brushed hers as he took the bottle and inspected the label.
"Well, I won't say no to a moonlit drink with a beautiful woman." He turned and slowly walked away. "Join me." It was not a question. Rin followed the pink-clad man into a fruit garden. They walked in silence until they reached a small clearing, where the Captain sat against another peach tree, leaning his back against the trunk and stretching out his legs. Rin looked around. It seemed secluded, and the crescent moon shone just enough to make the trees cast mysterious shadows across the floor. Rin knelt next to the Captain's knees facing him and setting the box of snacks on her lap.
"I didn't know what you liked, so I got a few different things." Rin was glad the gyoza were still warm. She set the box down in front of her and next to his hip, but he still didn't move. Reaching to grab the bottle, Rin leaned a little on her knees, and took the opportunity to settle back just a little bit closer, her thigh brushing his knee ever so softly. Rin popped the cork and offered him the bottle. Instead of taking a swig from it, he produced a sakazuki from inside his haori and held it out to her. She carefully poured the sake and watched him take a sip.
"Ah, that's refreshing." He looked down at the box of snacks. "What did you bring me, my beautiful?"
"There's edamame, gyoza, senbei and dango. I didn't know if you were a sweet tooth."
"Quite the spread. I'll have some of the gyoza before it gets cold." He grabbed one of the pairs of chopsticks and popped a savoury pouch in his mouth. Gesturing at the food, he nodded at her. "Eat, eat, eat!"
Rin smiled and shuffled closer, this time, instead of sitting on her heels, she tilted her body to press the side of her hip to his thigh, her legs tucked to the side. Picking up and snapping an edamame open, she gathered the beans in her palm.
"How did you like lunch with your brother?" He asked.
"It was very enjoyable, Captain." Rin pushed a bean past her lips and chewed.
"I heard you had a sharp tongue, but I didn't imagine you'd use it to put Ichimaru in his place." He smirked. Rin let out a breathy chuckle. "Are you sure that was wise?"
"I'm sure it was not." She topped up his drink. "My brother only introduced me to that restaurant today. I should have let him tell me more about...everything."
He hummed and produced a second sakazuki from his haori, handing it to her. She accepted, and poured them both drinks. Clinking the shallow glasses together, they drank.
"So tell me about yourself, Captain." Rin held her glass with her right hand and rested her left on his thigh. He glanced at her fingers trailing the fold in his hakama and leaned back.
"Oh, not much to tell, I'm just a boring old man." He held out his cup for her to fill, but her hand didn't return to his thigh as he hoped. "I'd much rather hear about you instead." He watched her tilt her face up to smell the flowery breeze.
"I'm from Rukongai. Not very interesting for a noble." Rin looked back down, eating another edamame.
"You're evading the question." He accused, but his tone was playful. Rin shrugged and served them both more sake. At her lack of answer, he sighed. "You're willful, aren't you?"
"You have no idea, Captain." she retorted and grinned at him.
"Alright, keep your secrets." He sipped his drink. "Though I am curious. Why did you decide to pursue another line of work if you just got accepted into a division?"
"I just want to keep my options open." Rin shrugged and removed her hair tie to run her fingers through her hair, twisting it into a loose rope and bringing it forward to drape over her left shoulder and down her chest. Leaning back on her hands, she smiled at Captain Kyouraku watching her. "So I suppose I should be asking you all sorts of questions, since you're my first, uh…"
"Guest." He helpfully informed her. "In this case, I am a Guest, and you are a Companion."
"And what is it that Guests and Companions do in each other's company?" Rin drained her saucer of sake and set it aside, leveling Captain Kyouraku with a curious stare.
"Well…" He looked up at the moon in thought. "Anything they want, really. Companions are not Courtesans." He looked back down and held her gaze. She could see the seriousness in his eyes. "No one can force you to do anything you're not prepared to offer yourself." The lightness returned to his features. "But you're free to take your Guests to your bedroom if you like. Or just enjoy a moonlit drink with pleasant conversation." He held out his empty cup to her, grinning. Rin poured him more sake, but none for her.
"And how does my relationship with other shinigamis change if they become my Guests?" Rin was genuinely worried if these two worlds would clash.
"It doesn't." Captain Kyouraku shook his head. "You're a shinigami during your work hours. You're your own person on your free time, as long as that doesn't actively interfere with your performance." He explained. "You might have to cut some Guests off if they can't respect that boundary."
"Does that happen often?" She frowned.
"No." He hummed. "But it's always the same people. I'm sure you can imagine who they are."
"I'm sorry to throw so many questions at you, Captain." Rin poured him more sake and finally retrieved her own cup from the grass to keep drinking with him. She was pleasantly buzzed after the outing with her friends and the half bottle she had just shared with the Captain.
"I don't mind." He waved her apology away. "But you must tell me something about yourself in return."
"Tell you something about myself?" Rin raised her eyebrows. "What could I possibly tell you?"
"Oh, I'm sure you're full of surprises." They exchanged sly glances.
"I have eleven piercings." She divulged after a pause, watching his eyes snap to her right ear.
"Hmm?" Captain Kyouraku set his cup down on the grass and leaned forward, pushing her hair behind her left ear. Instead of removing his hand, his fingers trailed down her jaw to hold her chin, gently turning her head side to side. "I count...nine." His eyes searched her face. "Where are the other two?" Rin only smirked. She reached to gently lift the hat from his head and set it aside on the grass. "Oh, don't leave an old man so curious."
"I'll be sure to answer any old men's questions if I see any." Rin nodded at him.
"You sly woman, you." He grabbed her wrists and pulled them from under her, making her fall back on the grass as he leaned above her on his elbows. Rin raised her right hand to rest on his shoulder, while her left fingers traced the stubble on his cheek.
"You don't like the beard?" She saw something akin to unease briefly flash across his eyes.
"I don't know, I haven't kissed it yet." Rin looked up at him through her lashes and bit her lip. He blinked down at her in surprise. Slowly, he lowered his face and Rin met him halfway, touching her right cheek to his as her left hand dropped to grab the collar of his pink haori. She was pleasantly surprised at the feel of it. The tickling was soft and not harsh and scratchy at all. She smiled, knowing he would feel her do so. Turning her head and holding his other cheek with her right hand, she kissed the line where his beard started. She nuzzled her face to his, kissing under his eye, where there was no hair at all, the line once again, and his jaw, where the tickling was more intense.
He closed his eyes, enjoying her slow and lingering kisses as she explored the feel of his face. She trailed a line of kisses right to the corner of his mouth and dropped her head back down, giggling as his eyes snapped open at the loss of attention.
"Yeah, I think I like the beard." She caressed his cheek with her thumb, licking her lips. His eyes were immediately drawn to the flash of silver running through her tongue.
"What." He breathed. "Is that?"
"You've never seen a tongue stud?" Rin asked, running the tip of her tongue over her upper lip, flaunting the metal running through her tongue at him. He shook his head, following her movements with his gaze. "Then you've never had the best kiss of your life." She boldly assumed.
"Well, I'll need to remedy that." His hand cupped the back of her neck as he lowered himself onto her, his lips finding hers. He could feel a scar where she probably had a bad habit of biting her lips, and nibbled on it. She gasped and pulled back, looking up at him.
"Don't bite." She whispered.
"Why not?"
"Because I like it." Rin smirked up at him. She grabbed his chin and turned his head, running her mouth along the stubble on his jaw, stopping by the corner of his lip to place a kiss there. He turned his head and captured her lips again, letting her do as she pleased, just moving with her. Rin sucked on his upper lip, then traced it with the silver ball on her tongue. She let his tongue meet hers for a moment, before breaking the kiss and pressing her face into his cheek and smiling into it.
"What?" He asked, turning his head to press his nose against hers, stealing a small kiss from the corner of her lip.
"I really like the beard." She held his face and finally kissed him deeply. Her tongue danced with his as her fingers caressed his cheeks and neck. He smiled at her enjoyment and tangled his fingers in her hair. The metal in her mouth was a strange concept to him, but one he found enjoyable. His thoughts ran wild and he suddenly gasped with a realization.
"Is something wrong?" Rin dropped her hand back onto his shoulder and looked at him inquisitively.
"Quite the contrary, beautiful." He leaned down to her and brushed his face against hers, kissing along her jaw, much to her delight as she craned her neck to give him better access to her skin. He unbuttoned the back of her turtleneck to continue kissing down her neck. "I was just thinking about you under my desk with that...tongue stud." Rin laughed at what he was implying.
"Too bad I didn't think of it then." She was wriggling under him, becoming restless, pawing at his haori and kimono. He leaned back to look down at her lying on the grass, illuminated by soft moonlight, but she pulled him back down to reach his face. Her kisses were mostly to her own benefit, so she could feel his beard against her skin, but he didn't mind. She pushed his kimono and haori off. He snaked his arms out of his top and she pushed it down his shoulders, running her fingers over the hair on his arms and chest.
Shunsui was pleasantly surprised at her fondness for his body hair. Not many women liked it, and avoided touching him too much. This beautiful specimen underneath him, however, was all wandering hands and curious arousal.
He trailed his lips down once again to continue kissing her neck, the vibrating of her moans against his lips making him dare to nibble at the junction of her neck with her shoulder. A sharp gasp and a soft tap against his right shoulder made him chuckle. He continued kissing her neck slowly, running his lips against her skin, watching the goosebumps as they trailed behind his touches. Reaching up to push a strand of hair away from her neck, he faltered as the strand refused to move. He tried again.
"What are you trying to do?" Rin laughed up at him. He rose to lean on his elbows, turning her torso to follow the line down to the back of her shoulder. He was greeted by a realistic tattoo of a black widow spider, as large as the palm of his hand.
"You are full of surprises." He let her roll back to face him and smiled appreciatively down at her.
"And you haven't discovered them all yet." She smirked at his intrigued expression.
"Should I continue my exploring?" He rumbled teasingly down at her.
"How about you let me explore a little for a change?" She followed her fingers with her eyes as she continued running them across his chest and to his shoulders. She guided their bodies to roll over and hovered over him on her knees as her hand explored down the bumps and valleys of his abdomen. Kyouraku watched her, resting his hands behind his head. She dragged her fingers down a thicker trail of fur leading from his navel, disappearing under the fabric around his hips. Rin added her second hand to her examination of his body when her fingers hit his hakama, dipping ever so slightly under his waistband. "Though I was thoroughly enjoying your attention." She lowered her hips to his, straddling him and slowly rocking along his hardened length. He could feel the heat between her legs through the fabric and hissed, pulling his hands from behind his head to clasp her hips in his long fingers, leading her in his preferred pace.
Rin followed along compliantly for a while, watching his lidded eyes watching her, until she began to fight against his rhythm, grasping his wrists and removing them from her hips. She pressed them next to his head and started grinding down to her preferred pace, harsh pants slowly becoming moans as her eyes fluttered. He was stronger than her, so he easily pulled his wrists free and sat up, wrapping his arms around her and stilling her movements.
"Shh, you'll wake the whole division." He scolded her. Rin pulled back to glare at him. He chuckled, pulling her into him for a kiss. Instead of allowing her to continue, he buried his face in her neck and breathed deeply, pulling a handful of her locks to cover his face. "You smell amazing."
"So I've been told." Rin grinned into his shoulder and wrapped her arms around his head, removing the tie from his hair and running her fingers down his loose curls. She received a sharp bite to her shoulder, barely managing to strangle a yelp.
"Cheeky." He admonished her. His hands trailed down her back, pushing her leotard down and he leaned back to look at her. Rin rested her hands on his broad shoulders to watch his expression change. His eyes were immediately drawn to the piercing on her nipple. The metal caught the moonlight and twinkled enticingly. He grazed his thumb against it, making her breath hitch. His mouth had parted and he looked up into her eyes, a dangerous gleam in them. "Eleven." She nodded and bit her lip to keep from moaning as he pinched her nipple between his thumb and forefinger. "Did it hurt?" he palmed her breast, feeling how it filled his large hand comfortably.
"I passed out." Rin panted. "Woke up nearly twenty minutes later to my Zanpakuto scolding me."
"Why did you do it then?" He ran his thumb under the swell of her breast, watching the metal move with her flesh.
"To gain some sensitivity." Rin explained. He tested her theory, playing with her other nipple. She just watched him silently. He lay her back on the grass, hovering over her once again. His lips trailed her collarbones, making her sigh, and he lowered himself to wrap her pink bud between his lips. Her hand caressed his hair, the other propping her head to look down at him. "Nothing?" He released her breast at her lack of response.
"I like watching you enjoy yourself." She shrugged. "I like the tickling of your beard against my skin." A smile appeared on her otherwise impassive face. "But it really doesn't do much for me."
"And this one?" He lowered his mouth to kiss her pierced nipple. Rin hissed. He hummed in thought, then opened his mouth to circle her nipple with the tip of his tongue. He was startled when her hand stopped caressing him to instead grip the back of his head and pull him closer. Closing his mouth around the pert nub, he flicked his tongue against it, feeling the difference in textures between her skin and the metal bar. Rin threw her head back and groaned, arching her back. He let the abused nipple slip free from his mouth and looked up. "That's quite a big difference. Why didn't you do both?" He returned to pulling her leotard down, kissing down her stomach and making sure to make her squirm under him as he caressed her with his chin.
"Well…" Rin tried to focus despite his ministrations. "I suppose the difference is fun. That, and Chihari would never let me hear the end of it if I passed out in my own bathroom again."
"Chihari?" He asked as he ran a hand down her side, noticing her ticklish nature.
"My Zanpakuto. I use her shikai form to do my piercings." Rin held her breath, watching him as he kissed her stomach, dipping his tongue in her navel.
"Oh? So you were the one Byakuya was complaining about?" Kyouraku made himself comfortable, lying on his stomach and resting his chin between her breasts, tracing the round mounds softly with his fingers.
"In my defense, Renji looks really good with that lip ring." Rin smiled sheepishly.
"Do you think I would look good as well?" He saw something change in her eyes. Her relaxed, lazy gaze became sharper and analytical, studying his face as her hands cupped his jaw and lifted his head for her to consider.
"Hmm…" Her hum vibrated in her chest under his fingertips. "No, I don't think so." As he raised his eyebrows in question, she explained. "Piercings are most fun for their contrast in texture, when compared to skin. Your stubble is much more fun. It might be too much information, then you wouldn't be able to enjoy one or the other properly." Rin pushed his hair back. "If you were really adamant about having a piece of metal stuck through your flesh, maybe a simple lobe earring wouldn't be too bad." She added as an afterthought. "But really…" Her fingernails lightly scratched over his cheeks. "This is more than enough to play with."
"I'm surprised you like my beard so much." He admitted. "Not many people do."
"Hn. Their loss." Rin pulled his face closer to kiss him. She felt his skin heating up against hers. The man was a furnace, and Rin was burning deliciously against him. "I really think I should go." She pulled back from their kiss.
"I think you're right." He murmured against her lips, his right hand snaking behind her back to pull her flush against him, his left hand cupping the back of her neck to capture her in another kiss.
"Captain." Rin raised her chin to release her lips from his, even though he continued kissing her neck. "Captain, stop." Her hands pushed against his shoulders. He unlatched himself from her and leaned on his elbows to look down at her, cheeks flushed and breasts heaving with pants. Rin wiggled under him until her leotard was back in place. Kyouraku took a deep breath to calm himself and let his forehead drop to her shoulder. The scent of coconut, alcohol, sweat, arousal and himself on her skin nearly broke his composure, but he pulled away from her to lean back against the peach tree and watched her sit up. She fixed her clothes and hair before smiling at him.
"I had a wonderful time, Ayasegawa-chan." He smiled back at her.
"So did I, Captain." She leaned in to kiss his cheek before standing and walking away.
"You reek of sex." Nakashima greeted her as she finally stepped into their shared quarters.
"Jealous, much?" She untied her turtleneck and slipped into their toilet. They didn't have a bath or a shower, since the division boasted of their hot springs, but the toilet and sink were more than enough to accommodate non-seated officers. This truly was a luxurious division.
"Who was it?" She heard her partner call from their room as she changed into her sleeping robe.
"I don't kiss and tell." Rin knelt by her futon and fluffed her pillow before snuggling under the sheets. "Goodnight, slowpoke."
"Goodnight, dimwit."
