This is an important message concerning the story Endwar.

First off I want everyone to be aware that this message doesn't mean that I'm abandoning this story all together, Since I started writing this story I've been overly curious as to working it as a crossover. In fact I originally thought up the concept of it as one to begin with I just couldn't figure out how to get it to work properly. That said a good while back I came across this two year old Oneshot called Darksiders Seven Deadly Sins and I got curious as to how that would actually work, so I did some experimenting and cross referencing and started getting something together and I think I can make it work without saying "it works because I say so".

First off both universes have Angel/Demon hybrids the Nephalem/Nephilm. In both cases Lilith was a key in making them.

In Diablo's case humanity is descended from Nephalem who were depowered by the Worldstone over generations and eventualy fell into dark times.

In Darksiders case the Nephilim went on a world wrecking crusade and the rest is history.

Now in fusing the two together I get this; in both cases Nephalem/Nephilim were born from the mating of angels and demons, but first Lilith had to make the potential union of opposites possible so she created Absalom, the Prime Being who all Nephalem/Nephilim carry the essence of. After Absalom came the first generation, then then the Second and So on. Inarius id the one who fucked with the worldstone so it would gradually depower the hybrids over generations and giving rise to humanity.

I get the idea that Absalom discovered that his race was slowly dying off and believed it was because of some Sanctuaryborne plague and sought to free them from their influence, and establishing their own kingdom outside the "gilded cage" that was Sanctuary.

What starts as a desire to be free from the Plague and establish his own kingdom eventually gets forgotten as he and the other Nephalem/Nephilim fall prey to the corruption (key element in Darksiders 2) of their lust for destruction and carnage. By the time of Eden, he and the others were to far gone and Death lead those he could (War, Strife, Fury) away from the madness as he remembered that the Humans were technically their descendents. The Purge begins Darksiders Genesis happens with a few content edits, Diablo'verse follows given its more fantasy setting, and as humanity fights back and survives they eventually build up their walled cities and go on until we get the Darksiders'verse.

This is the general background idea I came up with, and to me it works. So I want to give this a try and see how well I can make it work out. If there are any holes in this idea that you notice feel free to inform me of them.

And that said, I've been dropping small hints that both worlds were connected to begin with; in chapter 9 he refers to the Nephalen as the Nephilim, and in chapter 10 one of the names given to the Dark Kingdom is the Burning Hells and was even created from the corpse of demonkinds progenator aka Tathamet.

So I'm going to make an attempt to just say screw making references and dropping hints and just lay it out on the table.

And while I work on that variation, and try getting it to work, I'm going to have to put this one on hiatus, sorry, but I hope you at least check out the crossover known as Meggido's Ashes: End War and find see if there's any potential in it.

See you later.
