Chapter 23 Jenny's Surgery Dream

Jake's POV

It was the next morning, and Cubby, Princess baby Jay and I were having breakfast. Izzy on the other hand was watching Shake it Up on her phone when she is supposed to be eating.

"Izzy, you should pay more attention on eating, than your phone." I said to her.

" No. I'm watching the season finale of Shake It Up leave me alone." Izzy said to me as I took her phone and placed it in my vest pocket.

"Jake, give me back my phone." Izzy said to me.

"No, I will not give you back your phone. You need to pay attention on eating." I said to her.

" I'm not hungry." Izzy said to me.

"Cubby, make a note that Izzy's not eating." I said to him as he did.

" Isabella Rose green you better eat your breakfast, or else you're going back to the hospital." I said to her as she started to eat.

"That's better." I said to her.

As we were still eating breakfast, Izzy was eating her breakfast.

"Jake, I'm not hungry." Izzy said to me.

"You are going o eat the whole thing young lady." Both Cubby and I said to her.

"No." Izzy said to us.

" Do not start acting like a baby young lady." I said to her.

"I'm not hungry." Izzy said to me.

"Isabella Rose green you better eat your food." Cubby said to her.

"This food is yucky." Izzy said to us.

"I cooked breakfast you know." I said to her.

"It's yucky." Izzy aid to me as she was going to throw her food in the bin.

" Stop right there young lady. You better eat your food. So, I suggest you take your food back to the table, and eat it." I said to her.

"Don't make me start feeling you." I said to her as she just gave me a raspberry.

"That's it! Open your mouth." I sad to her.

"Mmm, no." Izzy said to me.

" Opening your mouth." I said to her.

"No." Izzy said to me as I got the food in her mouth.

"Noooo, yucky." Izzy said to me.

"Izzy, it's waffles, you love waffles!" I said to her.

As I was done feeding Izzy, it was time for us to go to the dance studio. So, I took both Izzy's and Princesse's hands as Cubby was taking baby Jay.

As I was checking Izzy's chart I was now mad that I had to feed her like a baby.

"Jake, is everything okay?" Cubby asked me.

"Yeah, everything is just fine." I said to him.

" Are you sure? Cuz you seem mad." Cubby asked me.

" Oh no, I'm way pass mad." I said to him.

" Are you upset that you had to feed Izzy?" Cubby asked me.

"A little bit." I said to him.

"It's okay Jake, she'll eat by herself.

"I Can only imagine me feeding her for the rest of my life." I said to him.

" Jake, let's not get to that point." Cubby said to me.

"I hope so, I do not want to be feeding my girlfriend for the rest of my life." I said to him.

"Okay, enough talking, let's get dancing." Cubby said to me.

"Hey, where's Izzy?" I asked him.

"I don't know." Cubby said to me.

" Well, we can't start without her. Come on!" I said to him as we went to go find her with the kids.

As Cubby and I found Izzy in the cafeteria she was crying.

"Iz, you okay?" I asked her.

"Jake, I'm sorry that you had to feed me, this morning." Izzy said to me.

" Izzy, you put this on yourself." I said to her.

"I know, but I shouldn't have acted like baby, amd I'm sorry." Izzy said to us.

" It's okay, don't do it again." I said to her.

" Jake, for an 11-year-old, she's going to do it again." Cubby said to me.

" Hey I'm 11 years old as well you know." I said to him.

" yes I know that Jake, but this Izzy we're talking about." Cubby said to me.

" You do realize that me and Izzy are going to be 12 next year?" I asked him.

" Yes Jake, I realized that. But she's going to do it again anyway." Cubby said to me.

"Hold up a second, I thought you were on my side?" I asked him.

"I am, I am, but you never know Jake. You just never know." Cubby said to me.

"So anyway Izzy, do you still want to dance with us?" I asked her.

" You mean practice for the Nationals that's coming up soon. And what I mean soon, I mean next year?" Izzy asked me.

" That's the one!" I said to her.

"No, thank you." Izzy said to me.

"Are you still worried about Jenny?" Cubby asked her.

" Okay, I have a little worried about her. But she's going to be fine. Right?" Izzy asked us.

" Yeah, yeah she'll be fine, it's just that she's only going to have surgery on her knee that's it." I said to her.

" I want to know how Sofia is doing. With you know taking her place." Izzy asked us.

"She's probably doing all right." I said to her.

As I was about to say something else, we hesrd Sofia screaming.

"Sofia, what's wrong? And why are you screaming?" Izzy asked her.

" I'm scared, I have never taken someone else's place before." Sofia said to her.

" Why didn't you tell Peter about this?" Cubby asked her.

" Because, I'd rather have a girl or girl conversation with Izzy about this." Sofia said to him.

" It's okay Sofa come here." Izzy said to her as Sofia was sitting on her lap.

"Shhhh, it's okay. Everything's going to be okay Sofia." I said to her as Izzy was rubbing her shoulder.

"I mean Jenny won't be back until February, and I'm still scared." Sofia said to us.

" It's going to be okay Sofia." Izzy said to her.

"Thanks Izzy, Sofia said to her as Izzy gave her a kiss on her forehead like a big sister.

"Anyway how can you possibly propose to her already?" I asked him.

" Oh for crying out loud Peter, this is a dance competition, not a marriage association." I said to him.

" I don't care what you say jake, you're not my father you're not my mother so I can do whatever I want period and THAT'S marrying Michelle." Peter said to me.

" When did you plan the wedding? And where is it going to be held?" I asked him.

"It's going to be the day after the Nationals." Peter said to me.

"So you mean to tell me that you planned the wedding ceremony the day after the Nationals?" I asked him.

"Yes sir." Peter said to me.

As I was still mad at Peter, we went back to Studio A to rehearse the semi finale dance. As Peter and Michelle were watching us, he was really impressed with our dancing.

"Wow, that was great, keep it up." Peter said to us.

" Yeah, I agree with my fiance." Michelle said to us as I just rolled my eyes.

" Ooh somebody's jealous." Cubby said to me.

"Focus on dancing Robert." I said to him.

"What did I tell you about using my phone name in public?" Cubby asked me.

" you make one small comment about me being jealous, then I'm going to tell the whole world including storming that you still sleep with a stuff rabbit." I said to him.

" For your information Jake, I do not sleep with the stuff rabbit." Cubby said to me.

"Yes you do Cubby." Izzy said to him.

"Who's side are you on?" Cubby asked her.

"Apparently, my boyfriend's side." Izzy said to him.

"Oh sure, take your boyfriend's side for crying out loud. Hey while you're at it how are you just supposed to Jake, instead of him proposing to you?" Cubby asked her.

"Cubby, the man proposes to the girl, not the other way around." I said to him.

"That's not how I saw it in Boy Meets World. Where Topanga proposed to Cory Matthews at their graduation." Cubby said to us.

" That's a TV show. It's not like Izzy's going to propose to me first during our graduation." I said to him.

" You never know Jake. You never know what's going to happen in the future. I'm just saying." Cubby said to me.

" Okay we're done dancing." I said to them as I stopped first.

" Where you going Jake?" Izzy asked me.

"I'm going to the little boys room so I can flush my head down the toilet." I said to her as she ran up to me.

" Yeah Jake, that's not an awesome idea." Izzy said to me.

"Okay then I'm going to run, until I fall down the cliff." I said t her.

" Again, wrong move sweetie." Izzy said to me.

"I just want us to win, during the Nationals that's all." I said to her.

" And we will Jake. You don't have to let yourself go and just worry about someone else's lives. Just worrying about your own." Izzy said to me while giving me a kiss.

" Thanks Izzy!" I said to her.

"You're welcome." Izzy said to me.

Izzy's POV

Once Jake Cubby and I went into the cafeteria, we heard Princess crying.

"What's the matter baby?" I asked her.

"I'm scared about my surgery." Princess said to me.

"Aww, it's going to be okay. You know Jenny is getting surgery on her knee. And you're not the only one that's scared. Jenny is scared as well." I said to her.

"Can you please make my niece shut up." Cubby said to us.

"Oh let me get this straight you said that to your niece, but not Jenny?" Jake asked him.

"What? Too soon?" Cubby asked us.

"Yes!" Both Jake and I said to him.

"What I can't say that to a 14-year-old. Now if Jenny was six, I would say it." Cubby said to us.

" And how do you think Jenny would feel?" I asked him.

"To be honest, pretty upset." Cubby said to me.

" Exactly. She would to run to Laquan if she had too. Or Matthew doesn't matter who as long as they calm her down if you ever say that to a 6-year-old." I said to him.

" I should shut up." Cubby said to himself.

" Yes, yes you should. The way you're treating your niece." Jake said to him.

Laquan's POV

As I was pushing Jenny into the cafeteria, she heard the whole conversation about what Cubby had said about her. But once we were about to leave, Princess walked up to her.

"Jenny, are you having surgery?" Princess asked her.

"Yes I am sweetie, and I'm scared as well so, you're not the only one in the I'm scared about my surgery group." Jenny said to her.

" Jenny, did you just make that up?" I asked her.

"Yes yes I did." Jenny said to me.

"Cool!" I said to myself.

"And Cubby, you hurt my feelings." Jenny said to him.

"Okay, I'm sorry." Cubby said to her.

"I accept your apology, but please don't say that again." Jenny said to him.

"Yes cutie." Cubby said to her as Jenny blushed at that comment.

"Okay this is awkward." Jake said yo himself.

"It's not awkward to me, laquan calls me cutie all the time." Jenny said to him.

" Wait what?" I asked as I started to blush.

" What? I only do that because I think if you as my little sister. Why ask what I called you cutie?" I asked her.

"No reason." Jenny said to me.

" Jenny, there has to be a reason." I said to her.

"I swear to God there's no reason. I mean I like you but as a big brother, and a friend nothing else." Jenny said to me.

" Yeah nothing else hahahah!" Cubby said to us.

"Shut up Cubby!" Both Jenny and i said to him.

"Oh come on it's obvious that you and Jenny argue like a married couple." Cubby said to us.

"We do not." Both Jenny and I said to him.

"You see, a married couple right there." Cubby said to his crew.

"We're out of here." I said to them as I pushed Jenny's wheelchair our of the cafeteria.

Jake's POV

"Cubby, why did you have to embarrass them?" I asked him.

"Oh come on, can you now see the chemistry between Jenny and Laquan?" Cubby asked me.

" Are you saying that they make a good couple?" I asked him.

" Yes, yes I am." Cubby said to me.

"Well I don't agree on that, and second of all laquan and Jenny already have a boyfriend and girlfriend. Johnny has Matthew, and laquan has Diandra." I said t him.

" Oh you give me the guy who's just sitting there kissing a trash can?" Cubby asked me as I turned around.

"Matthew why are you kissing your trash can?" I asked him.

" Calm down pipsqueak, it's clean." Matthew said to me.

"Did you just call me pipsqueak?" I asked him.

"Yes I did. And you said no better on spying on me young man." Matthew said to me.

" You know I'm 11 years old right?" I asked him.

"And I'm 14. Any more questions?" Matthew asked me.

"No sir I got no other questions. Continue on kissing the trash can, even though it's clean." I said to h as I walked back to my crew.

"Okay, I'm going to forget I saw that." I said to myself.

"Jake why was Matthew kissing a trash can?" Izzy asked me.

"Don't even ask." I sad to her.

"is Jenny going to be asleep during her surgery? Is she going to wear a hospital gown during her surgery? Well she'll be staying overnight?" Princess asked us.

" Yes Jenny will be asleep during her surgery, she will be staying overnight but we don't know yet, and yes she will be wearing your hospital gown during her surgery." Izzy said to her.

" I hope Jenny's going to be okay during her surgery." Princess said to us.

"She's going to be fine Princess, she's brave." I said to her.

" Not when she's scared of spiders she's not." Cubby said to us.

"She'll try to be brave during her surgery though. I mean I look up to her like a big sister." Princess said to us.

" Aww." Izzy said to her with those puppy dog eyes.

"When is Jenny getting her surgery mommy?" Princess asked her.

" Jenny's getting her surgery in about a week. So that means she can't eat or drink anything for the next 8 hours." Izzy said to her.

"Maybe I can make her get well card, once she's out of the surgery." Princess said to us.

"That's a good idea Princess, we can all do it!" I said to her as she giggled.

"Hehe." Princess giggled.

"What did Jenny do to have surgery on her knee?" Princess asked us.

"Well, she was coming back from her walk while texting until she tripped on a pavement and really damaged her knee, and broke my leg ." Both Izzy and I said to her.

" How bad is the break?" Princess asked us.

" It's worse then Izzy's and yours." I said to her.

" Is Jenny getting surgery on her leg?" Princess asked us.

"Most likely sweetie." Izzy said to her.

Jenny's POV

As I was napping, I started to dream about my surgery. I was laying on my hospital bed in the hospital room while wearing my hospital gown as Laquan was sitting next to me.

"Laquan. I'm scared. What if my surgery doesn't go well? What if I wake up during it?" I asked him as I started to cry while the doctor helped me back in my wheelchair.

" Hey, Jenny, it's going to be okay, I'll be waiting for you, once your surgery is over." Laquan said to me.

A few hours later, I was taking into the surgery room. As a doctor lifted me up and placed me on the operating table, I was getting scared. But I had my teddy bear with me to keep me brave. Once I was put to sleep, they started the surgery.

Izzy's POV

As we were talking about Jenny's surgery, princess asked us another question.

"Daddy, well Jenny help me with my surgery after hers is done?" Princess asked him.

" Of course she will Princess." Jake said to her.

"Well Jenny be coming back to the dance studio after that?"

"Princess, after her surgery is over, she's going to be in a wheelchair for 5 weeks. Then she's going to have to have physical therapy to help her walk again. To put this in a nice way, she won't be back until after February sweetie I'm sorry." I said to her.

"Oh." Princess said to me.
