Diamond Took bounded up the green, grassy hills of the Shire. Her flowing grey dress protruded, giving her the sense of freedom and warmth. She couldn't believe her eyes! All the hobbit boys and men were staring at her, wishing her luck with marrying Pippin Took, Diamond's rival!
The way the hobbit boys and men swooned at her was unthinkable! It was a gorgeous feeling.
"Diamond?" Pippin asked, confused.
"What?" Diamond asked, her daydream flitting off.
Diamond huffed, wondering when she would attract all the hobbit boys and men she wanted. Was that even the best choice? Since no other hobbit boys and men were staring at her, except Pippin, or else they were giving her disgusting looks.
Humph! Well, of all the things Diamond had to go through! This was the worst wake-up call yet!
"What?" Diamond snapped.
Pippin waved his hands in the air, trying to calm her down. "Do you want to stop at the Green Dragon inn? We can do some singing and…"
"Pippin, don't you see it? If I can attract everyone, I will be the bell of the ball!" Diamond rolled her fists together. This was a brilliant idea.
"What?" Pippin asked, dismissive.
Diamond smirked, telling Pippin, "Come on." She dragged him down the road.
