CHAPTER 10: REACHING THE THRONE ROOM.

(POV: Billster.)

"...Billster..."

"...Wake up!..."

"...Billster!..."

I didn't know how long I saw that space of empty blackness for, but when I came into, I found my brothers and everyone else surrounding me, looking quite relieved.

"Billster.." Thomas asked worriedly. "Are you okay?"

"Yeah. I will be." I replied. "Anyway, how long was I out for?"

"Just for a few seconds." Timothy sighed in reply. "Please do scare us like that ever again okay?

"No promises." I smiled in response. "Anyway, I guess we better pick up the pace then."

"Yeah." Thomas concurred, as another puzzle then struck him. "So, what will we do with the prisoner? "

"I guess I'll bring him back with me to what remains of the Palace via Gold-Dust." Proteus replied. "He can't stay here now."

"Understood."

(POV: Mysterious Narrator.)

So, as Proteus then Gold-Dusted him and Dr. Smith out of Mordred's castle, the rest of the gang forged on ahead. As they ran through the halls, Billster had a bit of a tricky time keeping up, for his trump card move took a dangerous amount of mana out of him. Though exhausted and low on mana, Billster pressed on forward, determined to stay with the group. As they got nearer and nearer to their desired location, the man who was clad in black was watching Lady and the Sorcerer-Knights through a screen. He then sneered as he began to monologue.

"So, you made it pass Dr. Smith." He observed. "Very impressive, but how long can you keep this winning streak up, Child of Avalon? How long until you will meet your end?"

The man then looked at his filthy golden sword that was in the corner, and let a sigh.

"I guess that I'd better prepare myself for the fight that I'm destined to have." He thought out loud. "But first..." He then pressed a button.

Meanwhile back in the hallways, Lady and the Sorcerer-Knights were almost to the throne room when they heard marching from the hallways front and back. Then as everyone drew their weapons, troops appeared from front and behind, barring both ways forward and back. As Thomas looked around, he began to look quite frantic and frustrated. The number of troops was too much for him and his friends to handle all at once and it would be very tricky to reach his objective with the adversity of having the ability to teleport reinforcements at any given point. There was only one option, to fight and hope for the best. As Thomas was about to draw Excalibur from its scabbard, Timothy stopped him.

"Timothy? why..."

"Brother." Timothy replied. "You must save your strength to fight Mordred, for it is your destiny."

"I know that!" Thomas replied. "But how can I..."

But before Thomas could finish his question, Timothy had unleashed his Elemental release and froze the knight barring the path forward. As Thomas then turned heel, getting ready to dash, Billster and Lady walked up next to him.

"Billster? Lady? what are..."

"Thomas.." Lady replied. "I know you're strong, but My rapier, Illuminous is of the divine element just like Excalibur. Though it's not as strong, I do believe it will greatly aid you in this major fight. thus, why I'm coming with you."

"I may not be at 100%, Thomas." Billster then added. "But I refuse to let you go alone. I may not be able to do much right now, but please, don't count me out.'

As Thomas then gave a smile, his eyes glistened with confidence and relief and his tense muscles relaxed a bit. "As the sounds of blades then continued to clash, the three teens forged on ahead.
