ANNABETH POV

The ambrosia didn't do anything except give him six solid hours of energy.

Okay, granted, it did help with his fever, at least for a few hours, but those hours were like trying to potty train a puppy.

"I'll take a shift," Annabeth offered.

Though, she didn't want to, because she had never been to good with kids, she knew everyone else had already had to, so she figured she could take a shift, this time.

Percy was fascinated by everything.

Annabeth didn't know it was possible to ask as many questions in the amount of time he did.

"What's that?"

"That's bunker nine,"

"Can we go in?"

"Uh...no."

"Why?"

"Because I don't want you getting hurt,"

"why would I get hurt?"

"Because there are dangerous things in there,"

"Okay," he says running off

She trailed after him, trying to keep up. He was surprisingly fast.

"What about that?"

"Thats where we do archery,"

"Oooh. What's arthery?"

"Archery," she corrected, "and it's where use a bow and arrow to shoot things,"

"Shoot like a gun?"

"Kind of."

"Can I try?"

"No."

"Why?"

"You're not getting hurt on my watch."

"Okay." he says, running off (Annabeth was going to get an ulcer)

"What about that?"

"That's a- uh- it's a butterfly,"

"Oh! Cool!"

Six hours later, Annabeth could take a break. Hopefully.

The demigods were gathered on the Big House porch, standing next to where Chiron was sitting at the table.

"Percy, guess what?" she asks, trying to make it sound like what she was about to say was the funnest thing ever.

It seemed to work, at least enough for him, "What?" he asked, eyes wide, bouncing on his feet

"Naptime!" she cheered.

Immediately, Percy chippers"No!" and takes off running.

Annabeth watches for a minute as he goes down the wrap-around porch and around the corner. Her smile drops.

"I don't understand how Sally dealt with him," she mutters, and they take after him.

She's just turned the corner, craning her neck to look for him, when she sees him at the edge of the woods.

"Percy! NO!" she yells, because 1) it's hard to find a small child in the woods, and 2) monsters.

He giggles, not stopping.

"PERCY!" She yells again, with the others hollering and chasing after him.

He stops, giggling, thinking it's a game. Just as Jason catches up with him, he takes off again, going opposite direction of the woods. Thank gods.

He runs back up the porch, and just as he jumps off the porch, Piper grabs him.

"Sorry, buddy," she grins.

"But I'm not tired! he says, kicking his feet.

"I'm sorry, but you have to," Piper says, using a bit of charm speak.

He looks at her a minute before nodding.
