PART 1. THE HUMBLING OF THE STORMLANDS

STANNIS

Ser Davos had managed to smuggle Stannis and his family out of Dragonstone. He takes his family to King's Landing before the Dornish and Step Stone Fleets arrive and then he takes Stannis to Storm's End just as the Redwyn and Lannister Fleets arrive. Both Robert and Stannis are men of war so the castle is ready for attack or siege.

After getting settled Stannis meets with Ser Courtney Penrose, Maester Cressen, Ser Axel, and Lord Estermont. "Lord Morrigan is gathering an army at Mistwood, but our scouts say that the Dragon army has a strong foothold in the Stormlands." Cressen says giving a report from the messages he got by Raven. "Fifteen thousand troops march on Storm's End."

"We are cut off at sea as well." Penrose says.

LORD MORRIGEN

Lester Morrigen is in command of the growing army at Mistwood. He commands over ninety thousand troops. Morrigen rides through the camp with some Lords, Commanders, and Knights at his side. "Our scouts say that Storm's End is surrounded." Lord Graddison says from his horse.

"We can't ride to their aid with the Tyrells and Martells marching on us." He replies.

"Any word from the Capital?"

"Only that the King rode out to face the enemy at Duskin Dale…The Knights of the Vale are to meet him there." For two days they wait at Mistwood. On the morning of the third day the camp awakens to the roar of a Dragon. Tents and people are knocked over as the Dragon flies low overhead. After flying over the camp the Dragon flies back towards the Northwest. Not long after a man rides out of the woods and fires an arrow with a message attached.

To the Storm Lords

Your King is dead…Storm's End is surrounded, the Red Keep has fallen. In the name of Aegon Targaryen the one true King…we command that you surrender or burn…you have one hour to decide.

Lord Randyl Tarly

Morrigen and his Lords have no choice. Morrigen and two Lords ride towards the enemy camp and are met by Princess Daenarys Targaryen, Lord Randyl Tarly, and Prince Oberyn Martell. They are served wine and food, "The King commands that your armies disburse and that each house send a representative to the Capital to bend the knee…He also asks for a child from each house to ward at the Red Keep towards your loyalty and good will. These terms are non-negotiable…"

DAENARYS

After the Lords agree Dany flies her Dragon Wondar to Storm Ends and circle's the castle three times. A few hours later Stannis rides out with four men to surrender. "You will come to the Capital my Lord and bend the knee to my nephew."

"I will come."

"And to ensure that you do not cause mischief your daughter Shireen will a ward to the crown." She could tell he did not like that, but what could he do against House Targaryen. With business concluded Dany flies to King's Landing to join Aegon. "Because of you the honor of House Targaryen has been restored."

They toast, "Because of us my dear aunt." He puts his goblet down. "After my coronation we will head North and defend the wall."

"What of my brother Tyrion?"

He sighs, "We will tell him after the coronation…I am already sending troops North."

MARGAERY

Over the next few weeks the Lords of Westeros converge on the Capital to bend the knee to King Aegon Targaryen. Margaery is escorted to the Capital by Ser Barristan Selmy himself and her brother Lancel who had been inducted into the Aegon's King's Guard. Margaery had not seen Aegon since she returned home four months ago. Her Grandmother and Mother had been grooming her to be Queen most of her life.

"By the gods. This never would have happened with Robert Baratheon as King." Alerie says.

"Let us not speak of the dead." Olenna says, "A daughter of House Tyrell will be Queen."

"I'd love Aegon if he were a ship's Captain. I love him for who he is and not his crown, his Dragons, or his power."

"Then it is good the two of you love one another." Olenna says.

When they arrive the Tyrell party is met by Jon Arryn who had been allowed to keep his place as Hand of the King. Princess Daenarys is also waiting. After introductions the Tyrells are showed to rooms in the royal wing of the castle. Then they are invited to a private dinner with the King, his Targaryen, and Stark relations.

PART 2. THE SEVENTH OF HIS NAME

PRINCE TYRION

While traveling with his brother's forces Tyrion falls in love with a woman named Shae. A free woman of low birth from Lorath. He dresses her in the finest clothes and most elaborate jewelry. Seeing Aegon's Dragon decimate Robert's forces will be forever etched into his mind. To sell Shae off as highborn lady, Tyrion hires a woman to teach her etiquette. He runs out of the room where they are practicing as a glass jar flies at his head.

"I'm sorry for laughing! I love you!" He says standing in the doorway. He ducks as another glass object comes flying at him.

"What is that all about?" Jaime asks entering his apartment. Tyrion looks at him. Jaime is wearing the armor of the King's Guard. New armor with Targaryen sigil on the front.

"I was getting my laughs at watching Shae practicing to be a highborn lady."

He looks at the smashed jars, "Not a wise thing to do little brother."

"No it was not. Thank the gods I am small and fast." Tyrion touches his cloak. "Look at you in the White Cloak again."

"It was all I ever wanted…And you will get everything you ever wanted."

"Cersei is not going to like it." Cersei is on her way to the Capital under guard to bend the knee.

"No…by the gods I hope she cooperates."

Tyrion pours some wine, "Want some?"

"No I'll be going on duty soon. How are things with you and Shae?"

"Fine…I love her."

"Does she love you?"

He smiles and thinks, "I believe she does."

"Well if she breaks your heart I'll murder her with my own hands."

CERSEI

She left the children Tommen, Myrcella, and Steffon at Casterly Rock with her Aunt Genna and travels by ship. She is determined to convince Jaime to marry her and build the Lannister legacy. A legacy that will one day topple the Targaryens again. She is met by the Hand of the King Jon Arryn. As she is getting settled Jaime comes to see her. "Leave us!" When the servants are gone she runs into his arms and tries to kiss him, but Jaime pushes her away.

"You look well."

She slaps him, "You betrayed me! You betrayed our family! And why? Why! To put a Targaryen back on the Iron Throne."

"Had I known what father had intended to do all those years ago I would have killed the Mountain and Lorch myself had I known what they intended to do."

"And I, do I mean anything to you now?"

"You are the heart that beats within my chest. I will always love you. But I cannot be with you…I am sorry."

"Do you even care that Joffrey is dead? He died at that hands of those monsters in the Citadel." He says nothing, "Get Out! Now!" She screams turning away from him. Then she summons her brother Tyrion.

"Dear sister."

"Drink?"

"It's not poisoned is it?" She takes a sip from the cup and hands it to him

Tyrion downs the goblet in one long gulp, then he pours himself another cup. "So to what do I owe the honor."

"I want my inheritance…The gold father left for me, I want it deposited with the Iron Bank."

"What's the matter Cersei? You don't trust me?"

"No I don't!"

"Anything else?"

"I want an extra two million as well."

"I will consider it. If you apologize for every mean thing you have ever said and done to me." Reluctantly she apologizes.

AEGON

Everything is ready and all the Lords are present. It is time for Aegon to be crowned. Even Maester Aemon is present having been excused from the Watch. Arya had used her magic to restore his eyes. Aegon rides a horse to the Sept of Baelor with his Guard. His guard is made up of Lord Commander Ser Barristan Selmy, Ser Jaime Lannister, Ser Loras Tyrell, Lady Brienne of Tarth, who was requested by Aegon. She did have to prove herself in combat and held her own against Ser Loras and Ser Jaime. Lady Obara Martell, Ser Daemon Mars, and Ser Harlyn Mathe.

Ser Barristan rides ahead of the King in the Vanguard while the rest of the Guard ride side by side behind him. The people cheer as he passes them in the streets. When they reach the Sept Aegon is crowned with a gold and ruby crown with a Dragon's head and wings on it. "Long live the King!" The High Septon says.

"Long live the King!" The people shout over and over again.

They an hour and then Lady Margaery is escorted in by her father. The words are said, Margaery is crowned and the King's Guard swears oaths to her as well. Aegon had insisted. "Good people…You have suffered from a Mad King and then a drunken one…I shall strive to be a King worthy of both common and high born alike…" The People cheer.

"And I shall strive to a Queen of equal worth." Margaery says holding his hand.

"We both swear by the gods old and new." They say at the same time.

On the way back to the Red Keep four men try to attack the King. "Long live King Steffon!" A man screams. His head is taken by Lady Brienne who moves quickly to intercept the man. Two of his comrades are killed by Ser Jaime and the last man is impaled on Lady Obara's spear. Aegon draws his sword and pulls Margaery off her horse onto his.

With Margaery sitting at his left and Ghost at his feet Aegon holds court. First those loyal and who fought for the King are rewarded after they swear their oaths. When the Storm Lords come forward Aegon stands up. "To ensure your loyalty, I demand a hostage from each House first borns." There is some grumbling but the Lords agree to comply.

"Lady Cersei of House Baratheon." The herald announces.

"Bend the Knee to your King woman and renounce all claims of your son to the Iron Throne."

Cersei looks at Jaime and with teary eyes she goes down, "I Cersei of House Baratheon do hereby renounce the all claims to the Iron Throne on behalf of my son Tommen Baratheon."

"Lady Cersei rise and please join me in the council chambers."

In private he removes the Baratheon name from Tommen and Myrcella. They are made Lannisters. Cersei had to be restrained when Aegon informed her that Steffon would become his ward to ensure that she does not fill his head with treason. Stannis is named Protector of the Stormlands and Storm's End until Steffon comes of age.
