The idea for this chapter was given to me by a review from JustAnotherFanGirl2004, so thank you. I'm not good at writing dates, but I tried my best.

Also, the character of Margaret belongs to Elisa Moro and is from her amazing story Another Start, I do not own her.

. . .

"We are going on a double date!" Emma announced over the phone.

"What? Who is?"

"You and Aziz, and me and Riley."

I glared at my phone screen.

"Since when?!"

"Since Riley had the idea today and I agreed!"

I groaned.

"I hate you so much."

"Love you too, sis."

. . .

That night, I dressed in light colored jeans and a purple and teal sweater. My blond and blue hair was up in a high ponytail. By now, my dates with Aziz became pretty casual. Unless it was something special or we were going to a fancy place (which we hardly did) we could dress normally.

Just as I was putting on a golden locket, the doorbell rang.

"I'll get it!" I heard Alex call.

"Is that your boyfriend?" Chad asked, peeking into my bedroom.

"If it's Aziz, then yes," I answered, grabbing my purse and slinging it over my shoulder.

"Why's he here?"

"We're going on a date with Emma and Riley today," I answered, watching his expression closely when Emma and her girlfriend were mentioned.

I had been worried about how Chad would react to Emma's sexuality. He hadn't exactly accepted it, but he never bullied her about it or acted as though she was evil. I was grateful, and I noticed he was tensing up less and less every time Riley was mentioned.

"Cool," he just answered. "But I need to-"

"No," I answered, glaring at him. "Emma already did the whole 'hurt her and die' lecture, I don't need you to do it too. Besides, it's a bit late for that considering we've been dating for months."

Chad sighed.

"I can't believe how much of your life I missed," he said sadly. "I was a jerk."

"You kind of were," I said with a smile, making sure he knew I was joking. "But you're not missing anything else, don't worry. It's biologically predetermined that I have to make you sit through every since event I have - including the boring ones."

"Since when did you do boring things?"

"Touche. I should go now though, before our lovely sister does something to my boyfriend."

I heard Alex talking to Aziz as we walked down. He was smiling as he talked to her.

He'd be a great father, I thought, then froze. Why was I thinking that? We were only seventeen, it was too early to think about marriage and everything! We hadn't even been together for a year. Only eight months.

"Hey Lori," Aziz said when he saw me, and I snapped out of it, smiling at him.

"Hey, you ready?"

He nodded and we walked out, although I felt Chad glaring at him behind us. I turned and raised an eyebrow at him, and he quickly looked away.

I couldn't help but laugh a bit.

. . .

The date was fun. We got to know Riley better, and I can already tell that she and Emma are very happy together. I could have given her 'the lecture' but I don't think it was really necessary. She was really nice, and I'm glad Emma's happy with her. She got so much backlash once she announced she was bisexual and dating a 'commoner.' But Aunt Snow and Uncle David were really supportive of her and said that as long as she was happy they were happy.

I snapped back into reality as the movie ended and Emma said that she was starved. Riley mentioned this resturant, and we went to eat dinner.

I noticed a few people shoot Emma and Riley odd looks as they sat down next to each other and acted very couple-like, but most didn't seem to care. We just ignored them and talked.

"So?" I asked. "When am I gonna be an aunt?"

They both blushed brightly, but then Emma answered, "I could be asking you the same thing."

Aziz and I blushed just as hard, and we all laughed.

I still couldn't help but think of how he had interacted with Alex before. Maybe someday...

. . .

When I got home, I was pretty happy. I ran up to my room and changed into PJs, planning to read a bit before bed.

Chad walked into my room, and I looked up at him.

"Hey Chad. What's up?"

"How did your date go?" he asked, although I felt he wanted to ask something else.

"Pretty good. Riley's cool. She and Emma seem super happy."

"Yeah..."

"Chad what is it?"

"What are you talking about?"

"I'm your sister, I know something's bothering you."

"Well...have you ever liked someone, but you don't think you're good enough for them or you think they'll never like you back?"

I nodded slowly.

"To be honest, for a while I felt that way about Aziz. He was the first person I have ever truly lo-liked," I quickly covered up my slip-up, relived Chad was too distracted to notice. "I didn't think he would ever like me back, but when he asked me out I was overjoyed. And look where we are now."

"So you're saying I should try?"

I nodded, and smirked a bit.

"It's Margaret, isn't it?"

He looked at me in surprise.

"How did you know?"

"You had a crush on her when we were kids, and I found some books on sign language in your room a few days ago. Plus, I always catch you looking at her like a kicked puppy."

He glared at me.

"Not. Funny."

"I thought it was pretty amusing," I laughed, enjoying this moment with my brother.

. . .

Let me know what you think of Emma/Riley, and how you feel about Aziz and Lori's relationship becoming more serious.
