Not sure what everyone's big beef is with a background coupling but it's not going to change, might as well stop reading now.

Chapter 10: The Return

After a week had passed the group of ninja got back to the small town they had left Kushina and Asuma. Those two were in shock to see the shape of Kiro though. The man was still very heavily bandaged with fresh blood on his wraps. It seemed the stab from Orochimarus kunai hit in an awkward spot. Whenever the man walked for too long the stitching would tear and the bleeding would start again.

When the two Konohagakure Jounin were caught up to speed about the events that had transpired Kushina quickly pulled her son into a tight hug. The red-headed woman was shaking as she hugged him. The blond teen boy hugged her back while also rubbing her back, making an effort to try and comfort her. When she broke the hug with him she looked him over with worry, "You weren't hurt were you? I will gut that snake myself if you were!"

Shaking his head no to her question made her smile with a sigh of relief. After another week there they all came back to the village. Since Kiro refused to take it easy he would still bleed whenever he walked to far. As they all were stopped at the village gate to be identified, Darious looked over his shoulder and saw his kohai's eyes widen, his whole body shaking, "Kiro, are you alright?"

The man didn't respond for a minute then took in a long, deep breath, "I'm fine... just something in the air."

As Darious gave him an analytical look, Kiro was looking around while thinking to himself, 'Her scent is so strong now... it's like it is everywhere...'

Internally though, the man was struggling with a need to see Hana. Ever fiber of his being was telling him to go find her, just to be near her, but he stopped himself. He had promised her that he would stay away from her, so he would. Besides that, her first impression of him wasn't good in any sense of the word. Handing his passport and identification to the gate guards for a moment, he absentmindedly took them back as he walked into the village. His odd behavior had attracted the attention of Shizune though who looked at him, "Kiro, your bleeding is getting worse from your shaking, are you cold?"

Looking down at the bandages he saw the dark red stain getting bigger. Kiro smiled as he looked at Shizune replying back to her as he walked towards the Uzumaki compound, "It's nothing, I just need some rest. I appreciate your concern though."

Darious came and stood next to his old flame, getting her attention. She looked at him then both of them watched as Kiro kept on walking, "What is wrong with him?"

The older brown haired man watched the shrinking form of his fellow disciple, "I don't know to be honest. I have my suspicions, but I can't give you a definite answer since I am not sure. I think it has to do with a woman he has interest in..."

Giving a bit of a surprised look Shizune looked back at Darious, "He has someone he is interested in?"

Nodding his head Darious looked at her to meet her eyes, "Yeah but it isn't going very well for him. With any luck it will turn around for him eventually though, especially with his fear."

That was when the rest of the group came and joined the two of them. As the rest of the group got there Darious looked at them all, "Asuma-san, why don't you take the team to Minato's office and report to him. Shizune-chan and Tsunade-sama can report in later."

Everyone nodded before Kushina gave Naruto the keys to the house, "Why don't you help Tsunade-sama and Shizune-san get settled? Send a clone to report for you."

Naruto nodded his head at his mother before making a shadow clone to leave with them. With that the rest of the group split up. One group went to the Hokage's office to report to him while the other went to the compound.

With Kiro...

The man was walking towards the Uzumaki compound with his hand on his wound. Shizune had definitely been right, the shaking he was doing from "her" scent was tearing his wound open more. The majority of his bandaging was stained in blood which was easily visible through his torn shirt at this point. They had ripped it open when he first started bleeding while walking to give his wound air. Since he didn't want to ruin more clothes he just kept wearing that shirt.

As he continued walking towards the compound he noticed that the scent was getting stronger. He put his other hand on his head, which felt like it was spinning, to try and focus and stay upright. That was when he heard someone stop in front of him. Opening his hazel eyes, he looked up to see the woman throwing the scent off standing there looking at him. Kiro eyed her then gave a curt nod to her, "Ms. Inuzuka..."

The brunette was staring at him, observing him as he held his stomach and head, "You're injured..."

Giving a brief look at his bandaging he looked back at her to meet her look, "It's nothing to worry about, all I need is some rest and then I will be right as rain."

Hana approached him and pooled her chakra to check his wound. Though she wasn't a doctor for humans, she was a vet and as Inuzuka dogs use chakra she has some basic medical knowledge. Something that Hana did noticed though was that as she got closer he started to shake more, something that confused her, "Why are you shaking so much Kiro?"

Said man just looked at her while contemplating what to say. He didn't really want to lie to her but he didn't think she would like the truth either, "... it's nothing."

The Inuzuka heiress looked up at him, "Don't lie to me please."

Continuing to hold her eyes he let out a small sigh before fessing up, "It's you; your scent to be more specific. It's so strong right now for whatever reason, it is making my body act up a bit..."

The woman stood up straight and looked at him, knowing what it is that is kicking her scent into overdrive for the brown haired man, "It's going to be worse for about a month or so. I am approaching my heat cycle."

The brown haired man let out a loud groan, "I don't think I can handle it getting stronger, not while keeping my promise to you."

Hana looked at him then gave a small smile, appreciating that he was trying so hard to keep his promise to her, "Come with me, I can heal your wound for you but all my supplies are at home."

The man just stared at her with a clear look of confusion written all over his face, "Your home? I am sure that this will bite me in the ass but I thought you didn't want me near you? Going to your home with you contradicts that in a major way."

The woman looked at him, "There are things that we need to talk about... plus my mom wants to meet you."

The confused look on his face got even more confused, but when she started to leave his body followed as if it had a mind of its own. Both of them were heading towards the Inuzuka compound, both walking in complete silence, arriving after only a few long minutes. As they got there Hana led him to the living room before helping him get the torn shirt off. After she had helped get his shirt off she went to the other room to get her supplies. She carefully unwrapped the bandages that were on his lower abdomen, not wanting to make anything worse as she doesn't know the procedure that happened earlier.

Hana blushed a bit at how in shape the man was, but as she got it off she got back to the task at hand. As her chakra pooled into her hand again she put her hand on the wound beginning her process of healing it up for him. Kiro was eyeing her closely as she healed him, not sure what to think of this whole situation at the moment. He was confused, he didn't understand what was happening, but he did know that he enjoyed the close proximity to the woman. The problem was that he had been led to believe that she didn't want him anywhere near her. As it stood though now he was in her home as she healed him. The other problem was that being this close to the Inuzuka was not helping in the slightest with her scent.

When she finished she pulled her hand back, grabbing some thread and needle. She looked at him, waiting for the okay that he gave with a nod. She stitched up the wound, trying to be as gentle as she could, then got some new bandages. She wrapped up the wound as he continued to look at her, "Thank you Ms. Inuzuka."

Nodding her head as she continued to bandage him she responded to him, "Just call me Hana."

Kiro nodded his head at her before the door opened and closed. They both looked to see Tsume coming in, though Kiro didn't know her personally he could tell she was Hana's mother just based off of looks. Tsume looked at the two of them before smiling, "Is this him Hana?"

Said woman nodded her head before Tsume came over to him and sat down in her chair. She stared at him for a moment then looked at his wound, "What happened to you?"

Raising his eyebrow a bit he slowly responded to her question, "While we were gone we had a run in with Orochimaru and his assistant Kabuto while in a small country town. I ended up getting stabbed in the stomach protecting my senpai from Orochimaru."

The Inuzuka Matriarch looked at him with a smile, "So you're loyal and courageous."

Kiro just looked at her, getting more and more confused by the questioning that was seeming to happen to him, "I suppose that is one way to see it ma'am. May I ask why you wanted to meet me? I was under the impression that Hana didn't want anything to do with me."

Raising her eyebrow at his question she shot her eyes over to Hana, "You haven't told him yet?"

Shaking her head no Hana defended herself from her mothers annoyed gaze, "He was bleeding when I found him so I wanted to fix that first. I had just finished changing his bandages when you came in the door."

The man looked at both of them, feeling his eyes bounce between the two Inuzuka women, "Excuse me... tell me what exactly?"

The matriarch just continued to look at her heir, showing that she wanted Hana to say it. The woman sighed an nodded at her mother then looked at Kiro, "It's about how you are locked onto my scent. Apparently... at least according to my mother... you're um..."

That was when her mother, who was getting more and more annoyed by Hana's coy behavior, finally snapped, "DAMMIT YOU'RE DESTINED TO BE HER MATE!"

Hana glared at Tsume, "I WAS GETTING TO IT!"

The older woman rolled her eyes saying 'Sure.' Kiro was looking at Hana in shock, "I'm to be your mate?"

Both women looked at him then Tsume stared at him inquisitively, "That reminds me of a very important question that I had. I wanted to know, whats your last name Kiro? It's highly unusual that someone other then a Inuzuka can smell a heat cycle, especially when its months away."

The man blinked a few times then looked at Tsume, "Ookami."

The matriarchs eyes widened, "Impossible..."

He stared at her, "Why is that?"

She stared at him, "Your clan is suppose to be wiped out."

Kiro looked at her, a bit more of a hardened and pained look on his face from the comment, "I am an orphan if that is what you mean."

The Inuzuka woman just continued to stare at him, "I thought that they all died... are you signed to your clans contract?"

The man narrowed her eyes at her then nodded his head at her. She leaned back and tapped her fingers together until Hana spoke up, "What is going on?"

Her mother looked at her, "Hana, the Ookami clan were an old clan that date back to the warring clan era. They are a lot like us, strong sense of hearing and smell. The areas they differ in were they don't have our jutsus or partners like we do. Something that they do have though is a contract that is bound to their clan. I thought that the contract was now lost since I, as well as everyone else, was led to believe they all died. Kumogakure had moved in on their clan area and wiped them all out, other than Kiro here."

Hana looked at the man as he stared at Tsume, "What contract?"

Kiro looked at her, "The Wolf Contract, hence my clan's last name."

Tsume stared at him then she stood, "Well I like him and approve, now we just have to convince Hana all the way."

The man looked at Tsume as she said they still had to convince Hana. The Ookami slowly turned his gaze back to Hana, "You know... I don't exactly believe in destiny, so if you don't like it then it doesn't need to happen Hana. You should pick who you want to be with, not let destiny do that, she is to fickle of a bitch anyways. Thank you for healing my wound, I am sure you can find me if you need to. I hope you both have a wonderful day Hana, Mrs. Inuzuka."

The man bowed to them both then left the house after that, shocking both women. Hana was surprised he left, after everything she thought he would use this as his opening to have a relationship with her. Tsume on the other hand was shocked that he was able to resist her scent when it was obviously having an effect on him. It was silent for a minute before Tsume looked at her daughter, "If you aren't going to claim him then I sure as hell will."

At the Hokages Office...

As the team came in through the doors Minato was surprised to see Kushina there as well. He definitely was not happy to see her smiling while holding Asuma's hand. The blond Hokage stared at the team, now speaking with a more annoyed toned then usual, "Did the training trip produce any results?"

The Sarutobi nodded his head at the Hokage, "Yes sir."

Minato stared at them all before his eyes locked on Naruto. The two had their typical stare down before he smirked, "Naruto, how is your dream coming along?"

The teen's lip curled a bit before he looked away in annoyance. Minato narrowed his eyes then looked at Naruko, "Did anything good happen on your trip Naruko?"

She smirked and nodded her head though they were having different meanings. Naruko was thinking more or less about some progress she made with Naruto. Minato was thinking she may have become stronger in power, "Asuma, I want you to consider entering the team in the upcoming Chunin exams. They aren't for about three more months so you have time to think about it."

Nodding his head at the military leader before they all went to leave. That was when Minato smirked, "Kushina-san, a moment."

Both Asuma and Naruto's clone froze at that then Minato smiled some more, "Alone."

Kushina looked at them both then nodded her head at them, "I will be fine."

They nodded and left, though they stayed right outside the door. Both of them were focusing all their energy to sense any sudden moves by Minato. Kushina stood there in front of the Hokage as he smiled at her, leaning back in his chair as he looked the red head up and down, "Kushina-chan, I have missed you greatly. The feel of your lips, your body. I think that it may be time that I assign you another mission."

The woman glared, "If you so much as try, so many people will rain down on you to demand your head. There are a few that will just try and kill you, such as our son."

Minato scoffed before smiling at her, "Naruto, the boy is a fool to think he will ever be able to kill me. You and I both know that it is a dream he can not achieve."

Kushina stood proudly in defiance of Minato and defense of Naruto, "Our son is an amazing shinobi and man, he is already more of a man than you can ever dream of being. I believe that he can do it and when he does, I will be immensely proud of him. After all the wrong you have done him he deserves to be happy, and if that only happens from killing you then I will help him achieve that goal."

She turned to leave though when she got to the door she turned her head and gave one last shot, "You're pathetic Minato, remember that."

With that the red headed woman left the office and Minato, who was now even more furious then he had been before. She looked at Asuma and the clone of her son, "It's time to go home."

Asuma nodded and Naruto dispersed in a cloud of smoke. Asuma grabbed her hand and they slowly walked back to the Uzumaki compound.

The Uzumaki Compound...

As Naruto, Darious, Shizune and Tsunade all arrive at the compound Naruto quickly opened the door. Darious looked around for Kiro but saw him no where, he tried sensing his chakra as well but could not sense him anywhere in the house. Naruto moved to the kitchen to make himself some food, "Show them to some rooms Darious, you know that we added on new rooms. Even if Kiro refuses to use one."

Said man nodded his head before escorting the women up the stairs to the added portion of the compound. Kushina had taken it upon herself to add onto the compound since they were having more guests. Tsunade quickly claimed the room she wanted and Shizune looked at some of the others before picking one. Darious nodded before she grabbed his hand and pulled him into her new room. Shizune closed the door behind them as she looked over at Darious. He was staring at her with a bit of confusion, "Shizune-chan... why did you pull me into here?"

The woman sashayed over to him with a smile, "Dar-kun, I have missed you."

He looked at her with a bit of a smile, "Shizune-chan..."

The man quickly picked her up then pinned her to the wall with a kiss. Things seemed to be heating up until suddenly, he pulled away, making her look at him in confusion, "Dar-kun, why did you stop?"

Darious smiled at her then rubbed her cheek, "Multiple things; One is that I am worried about Kiro since he wasn't here. Two is that as much as I want to do this... and by Kami do I want to.. I want to make sure things are how they use to be first. When things settle down..."

The man leaned in close to her, speaking in a husky breath in her ear, "... you will be mine again... if you still want me then"

She had shivers before he let her slide to her feet. He kissed her quickly on the lips again before going back downstairs. As he reached the bottom of the stairs he saw Kiro enter the compound. Darious looked at him and saw the fresh bandages, "Your bandages... they're clean and you shirt is gone."

Kiro looked at his senpai then at his upper body, "Oh... I must have left it at Hana's house when she healed my wound and changed my bandages."

Darious looked at him with a rose eyebrow and a tone of half hope, "Hana's house? Really?"

The man looked at him and nodded, "She found me when I was coming back here. Her mother wanted to speak to me about an... odd circumstance."

His senpai looked at him with a bit of confusion as they both went and sat on the couches, "So what were the circumstances?"

The kohai looked at him, "Well according to her mother, we are destined to be mates. I don't really know how she felt about it. She didn't exactly say no but her mom said she wasn't actually on board with the whole idea."

Darious looked at him then started to laugh, "You have the oddest things happen to you."

The younger brown haired man glared a bit until Naruto came out of the kitchen, "Kaa-san and Asuma-sensei should be here soon."

As if on queue the door opened showing both Asuma and Kushina. Everyone met in the living room to talk about everything and what they were going to do in the future. After a while Naruto got up and decided that he was going to take a walk.

Konohagakure Park...

The blond teen stood there looking at the lake with a monotone expression, trying to figure everything out. That was when he picked up the scent of someone he didn't really want to see at the moment. He looked over his shoulder at her as she came up to him, "Hello Na. Ru. To. Kun."

The teen stared at her then nodded before looking back at the lake, "Princess."

Naruko came and just like in Betto she wrapped her arms around him. He looked at her for a moment before grabbing her hands to make her release him. That was all apart of her plan though and she quickly pushed her lips against his. This made his eyes widen and body freeze from what she was doing.

When the young woman broke the kiss she smiled at his stunned expression but felt something down below. She looked down and smiled, "You know you never said who you had sex with."

The boy answered, to stunned to deny her the answer, "Hinata."

She looked at him, a flash of something in her eyes, then pushed him onto the ground and climb onto him, "Well now its my turn."

That snapped him out of it and he rolled her over and pinned her below him, "That cannot happen."

Naruko wrapped her legs around his waist, "Oh, it will."

Naruto shook his head no, "I won't let it."

The girl smiled as she started to move her hips into him, "Naruto-kun, you will fuck me, and you will do so right here, right now."

The other blond made her legs unlock and stood, "No."

She growled then responded as he went to leave, playing her trump card she was saving to get him to do what she wanted, "I guess my father was right, you're not "man" enough to do anything."

He froze at that then looked over his shoulder at her. The way she was laying, what she had just said and the pent up frustrations were to much. He turned and stared at her, "I guess you'll have to tell him how wrong he is after I show you just how much of a man I really am won't you Princess."
