Big oops, sorry for the long wait, I'm a busy teenager nowadays, finals and all that along with Christmas, New Years, Covid, and family, but I'm back to consistent writing! This fic is not dead, don't worry. And I do have a storyline in mind. While I'm using Episodes of the Owl House as a base to set up Luz and the plot, that gets boring to read a basic rewrite of the show, so do expect the eventual deviation from canon and for it to really turn into a FacFic.
ONWARDS! Thanks for reading and Thank you Teloch.
Also as I continued to develop the plot with friends, I'll be rewriting Previous chapters, I'll inform y'all at the top of future chapters if I Do so

Emperor Belos looked upon the pouring rain, the way it hissed when hitting the ground making him feel sorry for anyone who got in caught in the rain. We need to figure out a way to protect the citizens of the Boiling Isles from these hazardous rains, he sighed and turned to return to his private chambers. Maybe the Empress would know of a solution to his thinking.
"I just hope that Luz is alright, and out the rain. Hopefully, Edalyn got them out of the rain if she has half-a-mind..." He said to himself, walking up the stairs.
There was a sudden screeching and ringing in the back of his head before it began to vibrate throughout his entire skull, if he needed to compare it to something it had to be the feeling of two planets shattering against each other, scraping and tearing each other apart before their cores' slammed each other and caused a Celestial Disaster of monumental proportions.
Belos cradled his forehead in hand and leaned against his staff, the pain is almost unbearable, he could feel that his ear was dripping blood.
"Y- yes, My Lord, the p- plan is going underway..." He whispered to the air. Staying silent, he whispered, "W- Who? Then what...?" He listened intently. "Y- yes, I understand... I'll see to them immediately." The Emperor said as the ringing in his ears left his brain. He collapsed, the staircase railing barely holding him up.
"Honey?" Camila asked, rushing down the stairs and crouching to him, helping him to his feet. "What happened to you?" She asked, concerned.
"D- don't worry for me, just... Speaking to the Titan again..." He said attempting to get back onto his own feet and nearly stumbling over Camila if she hadn't pushed him back up.
"You're talking to him again?!" Camila said.
"Y- yes..." He said.
"Well? What's he want now!?" She asked.
"I- I can't tell you... You'd hate me forever.." He said silently, walking past her in an uncharacteristically cold tone, more akin to their first meeting. "I'll be in my study, you mustn't disturb me for a time..."
Camila stared at him as he ascended the stairs.
"You know I could never hate you, Alexander..." she said to herself, attempting to catch up to him but watching him disappear around the corner of the hallway. She sighed to herself, feeling a pit of worry grow in her stomach. She climbed the stairs and simply hoped that Luz was safe.

Luz watched Eda's hands float around an orb, it reminded her of the oracle magic she saw at the castle, on occasion, when she met the head of Oracle track.
They were a bit odd to put it lightly, they were not at all surprised when Belos introduced Camila and Luz, actually seeming glad to see them both.
"Of course you knew, I could never hide anything from your eyes, Avast," Belos commented.
"Kid! I said pay attention!" The owl lady called Luz's attention to her. "This forcefield spell could save you in a pinch you know! Like if you fell off of a cliff or something, there's a lot of dangers on the isle." She reminded her.
Luz nodded, watching Eda continue to form the spell.
"Can you hurry up with that forcefield! That rain hurts and it's getting closer to my precious stucco!" Hooty said, wincing multiple times and exclaiming Ow's every few seconds.
"Don't get your feathers matted Hooty, I'm hurrying." Eda then walked towards the Owl House, using her staff, she spread her arms outwards, the orb becoming transparent and covering the entirety of the house in a protective orange forcefield.
"Ah, that feels better..." Hooty sighed out in relief. Luz laughed and patted him on the head before heading inside with Eda.
"So Eda," Luz said excitedly as she looked up at her mentor, "what are we gonna do tonight!?" Luz asked excitedly.
"What we are gonna learn is how to be quiet..." Eda said, stretching her arms. She yawned as she walked behind a changing screen, in a flash of light, she walked out in her nightclothes. "That forcefield spell took a lot of magic outta me, especially since it's going to last us the entire night." She then laid on the couch and began snoring instantly.
"Ah, what? Come on Eda!" Luz said shaking Eda, "At least teach me the light spell again!"
"Look, kid, you created a sun the last time you attempted the spell," Eda rose from the couch, "You damn near burned my living room to ash, too."
"Please, Eda! I promise that this time will be different!" Luz attempted to convince her mentor.
"Sheesh, magic this, witchcraft that. How about you learn about something cool, like Demons!" King said, appearing on the other end of the couch, holding his Encyclopedia Of Demons, 1st Edition.
"Not now, King." She said quickly, continuing to beg Eda for more magic lessons. "One more spell won't kill you, right? I'll even record it with my phone!"
Luz continued to annoy and bug Eda until, finally, Eda folded.
"Ugh, fine kid. Make sure you're paying attention." Eda stood up and stood in front of Luz. "The light spell is a simple spell that most first-years learn, along with other ones, if you get creative with it, you can do amazing things with it."
Eda then made a stance, drawing the spell circle in the air. The gold circle glowed before crumbling in itself and forming a light orb in Eda's hand.
Luz had sparkles in her eyes, watching Eda make the spell so easily but look bored with it a the same time. She couldn't understand how people all over the Isle could look bored using magic, it looks so cool and amazing and they took it all seemingly for granted.
"Did you get all that, Kid?" Eda asked yawning, making the light disappear.
Luz looked down at her phone and saw...
"Gah! I didn't hit the record button! O- one more time Eda! I'll leave you be after that!" Luz begged, hitting record this time and aiming the camera at Eda.
Sighing, Eda brought her hand up again, drawing the circle in the air. Yawning, she said, "The light spell is a... hmm..." she closed her eyes before falling backward.
"Oh No! Eda!" Luz ran over to her side and shook her slightly. No response.
"Wow, you were right, it was TWO spells that killed her, not one," King said, coming near Eda's face and smacking it. "Bap!" He exclaimed.
"I couldn't have killed my mentor like this!" Luz said, tears threatening to spill. Suddenly, she heard Eda snore. "Oh, she's just asleep." She said with a sigh of relief.
-Y- One crack of lightning later -Y-
"Oof!" Luz heaved the surprisingly heavy Owl Lady into the nest. She groaned, putting her hands on her knees and panting. "Didn't even know she actually had a nest..." Looking, Luz noticed that she had several pounds of gold and other shiny things.
"She's not called the Owl Lady for nothing," King said looking over Eda before smacking her face again, getting no response. "Bap!"
"Let's not bother her anymore, boo-boo buddy, she must be pretty tired from using so much magic today." That, and she wanted to review the video a couple of hundred times.
King nodded and grabbed her hand, dragging her along. "I can teach you about demons now!" He said excitedly, Luz closed the door behind her.
-Y- Later -Y-
"...And that, Princess, is why A mature Snaggleback is one of the worst Demons. Especially in the boiling rains, such as these. It particularly likes eating boiled corpses in towns. It's funny, we save more money in taxes letting wild Snagglebacks eat them rather than paying to clean them ourselves." King said, wearing a pair of glasses and waving a shiny pen around.
"Uh-huh, that's great King..." Luz said, obviously not paying attention to him.
"Luz! This is important information! You may not be taking me seriously, but the Demons of the Demon Lands are seriously bad news if you don't know how to deal with them!" King said, pointing his pen and pouting even though his face couldn't show it.
"Ahhh! Sorry, King!" She continued to stare at her phone, scrutinizing the recording for every second it contained. "But I'm more focused on learning magic so that I can defend the Isles! If I'm going to be Empress, I need to be able to control my magic!"
Her eyes landed on Kings' reflective pen head, the surface shimmered and the yellow-eyed copy smiled and waved at Luz.
"Come on! Just give up already! Also, try looking in the mirror more often, I'd like to talk to you!" The copy said before laughing.
"And you aren't helping!" Luz said to the copy, aggravated, but King looked hurt. "Oh, buddy, I wasn't-"
"Nono, I know when I'm not wanted, I'll just pack up and head to my room."
"No, King, wait! I'm sorry, I am! I just really want to make my Dad proud, you know?" Luz defended herself.
"Why would you want to make that old rust bucket proud?" King asked, crossing his arms, he looked cute when he was pouty. "I don't even think Belos can feel any other emotion other than... Tyranny..." He said quietly.
"Cause he's my Dad, I've never had one of those before... And I'm going to be Empress one day! So I want to be the strongest there is!" Luz explained.
King's pouty expression softened at the mention of her finally having a Dad and wanting to make him proud of her strength... It reminded him of past memories... He groaned before stomping his foot on the soft couch.
"If I help you, will you finally pay attention to me teaching you about demons?!" He asked, his eyes not meeting hers, not wanting to show her that he cares but it was obvious to her that he did.
Luz shrieked and grabbed King, hugging him close and swinging him around. "You'd do that for your local Princess?!" She asked.
"Unhand me, wench!" He shouted, flaying in Luz's arms wildly but to no effect. Luz, eventually, placed him back on the ground and petted his head, he grumbled and crossed his arms. He cleared his throat and put on his glasses and pulled out his chalk.
"So here's the plan, I've seen Eda drinking this special elixir, but only after her magic goes out of wack." He explained. "This could very well mean that she gets most of her power from this Elixer!" King explained as he expertly drew a round potion bottle.
"Are you sure that's how it works?" Luz asked. "I thought magic came from a bile-sac connected to the heart?"
"Not always, some witches buy wands that have Magic embedded in them already, what's to say Eda's magic doesn't come from a powerful potion?."
"I guess that makes sense," Luz nodded, "But What if-"
"Too many questions!" King proclaimed before hopping off of the couch, "My reasoning is foolproof!" He proclaimed, "I'll get the Elixir and that should help you with your magic!"
"I don't know about you kid, but that sounds like a path to death." The copy said from King's reflective glasses.
"Didn't ask, let's go, King!" Luz proclaimed, picking him up and dashing up the stairs.
Upstairs, Eda's room was dark, of course, but it felt like eerie darkness as if something would happen to them rather soon if he didn't exit this darkness soon. King was quick, going to her nightstand with calculated precision, stealing the glowing orange bottle that had a tag that said: "One Potion a Day," with a ripped end.
"Success!" He said, lifting the sphere and waving it, he fumbled and almost dropped it. He held it securely in both hands before quickly moving out of the room with the stolen goods.
-Y-Y-
King returned to Luz with the Golden Elixir of Magic, rumored to grant Luz complete control over her Magic as she wanted or so they thought anyway.
"If even one sip of this bad boy helps me control even a smidge of my magic, then I'll down the entire thing!" She proclaimed, taking a deep breath as she brought the potion to her lips, preparing to take a sip.
*CRASH BOOM*
The thunder clapped extremely loudly, causing Luz to yell out in surprise, the Potion bottle jumping out of her hands. Luz made several attempts to catch the potion bottle, but she made her final fumble and it fell out of her hands and came crashing down on the ground.
"NO!" Luz shouted as she swiped her hand in one last attempt to grab the bottle, sadly all she did was smack the bottle into the wall, shattering the bottle on impact and making the contents stain the wall.
Luz groaned and fell limp over the armrest of the couch. "The Golden Elixir! Gone!" She shouted into the couch. "I'll never learn that Light Spell."
King jumped to her side, his turn to pet her head. "It's OK, Luz, who needs a light spell when we have all these Lamps!" He announced, trying to cheer her up. The lamps buzzed with magic before they hummed and went dark. King sighed in obvious annoyance.
"It's alright, Hooty controls the lights, he probably fell asleep or something..." He reassured her.
Suddenly
"HOOT! HOOOOOT!" They heard a scream echo through the house, followed by more.
"Hooty!" Luz said once she realized who's screaming it was, she ran towards the front door to see Hooty, in the claws of a huge monster.
The beast stared Luz and King down with glowing orange eyes, the beast was silhouetted, and they could only see sharp teeth and eyes. The beast growled and scratched Hooty one final time before dashing away and disappearing into the rain.
"Hooty?!" Luz yelled, going over to Hooty and poking his beak and opening his eye, looking for a response. "You in there, buddy?" She asked but no response. "Whatever attacked him escaped into the rain! What could've even done that!?"
"It must've been the snaggle-back, it's shell protects it from the rains!" King exclaimed, "It must've seen us in the forest earlier and is hunting us now!" King theorized, suddenly, there was an intense roar and the Snaggle-back crashed through the second-floor window, into the Owl House.
"This is horrible! So why are you so happy?" Luz asked, seeing the happy expression on King's face.
"Because this is a perfect opportunity to test your powers against something! You know!? To see what you can do against something trying to kill you! And to learn more about wild demons up close of course!" King explained.
"I don't want to go near that thing!"
"C'mon! Cause of you, Eda's upstairs and defenseless cause you knocked her out! She could be eaten!" King shamelessly pointed out.
Luz groaned and picked up King, walking into the house. "Fine…"
The pair of boo-boo buddies then began to "Suit Up" you could say. Luz putting on yellow dish gloves, both adorning pillows as body armor, and Luz putting on a pair of Red and Green Band-Aids as a sort of war paint equivalent. To top it off, King grabbed a Bunny plush and Luz a Hockey stick as a weapon.
Luz was glad that Eda collected so much garbage from the human world, she wondered how she transported it all?
Using her phone's flashlight to light the way, Luz and King ascended the stairs. Step one, find Eda and make sure she's ok. Step two, never let her know any of this happened.
They reached Eda's room and saw that the doors were already opened. Pushing it open all the way, they could see that the window was shattered and that the room looked as if a tornado had gone through it.
"Oh no, Eda!" Luz exclaimed, running towards the nest and inspecting things. "Slash Marks…"
"She got snagglebacked!" King shouted.
"King, you're the demon expert, right? I need your help!" Luz said as she got to her feet, "Maybe I can phone my Dad…"
"Hold on, let me get my Demon Books!" He quickly ran down the hallway, missing the massive shadow flying over him in the hallway. Coming back, he didn't find Luz where he left her.
"Luz!?" He asked with a gasp. "The Snaggleback got her!" Suddenly, a shadow dashed past him in the hallway.
"You creeping beast! Give me back my Boo-Boo Buddy!" He ignored basic survival instincts and chased after the Snaggleback, making a sharp turn, he rounded the corner and saw the closet door close shut as Luz's white Van shoe was on the floor in front of it.
"LUZ!" He called, slowly walking over to the shoe and picking it up and holding it close before glaring at the door. Swinging it open, he spotted the feet, he then loudly announced, "There's nowhere to run!" and threw back the curtain to reveal…
A much smaller than previously thought Snaggleback, he looked like a monkey with a dull spiked shell.
"D- Don't hurt me! I'm j- just a messenger!" The Snaggleback shouted, cowering, and protecting his face with his hands.
"You're the Snaggleback? I remember you guys being… Bigger…"
"I- I haven't matured yet… My name is Arin, a-and I came with a message when this weird monster attacked me in the rains!" He announced and cowering more.
"A message? For who?" King questioned.
"For-"
*CRASH*
The ceiling then caved and a clawed hand reached down and grabbed the Snaggleback. "Wha- Oh No! No!" His screams were suddenly silenced. There was then a loud creaking heard and heavy thumping as the creature walked over King.
'If it wasn't a wild Snaggleback who was doing this, then what-' Kings thought process was interrupted when a loud crash was heard that made the room rumble. The door creaked opened as the orange-eyed beast with sharp teeth and fangs stood there, spitting out the shell of the Snaggleback in front of King.
It leaned forward and roared at the top of its lungs, pushing King back to the wall of the closet in fear.
"S- stay back! Hey! A- As the King of Demons, I d- d- demand you barf up my friends back up, right now!" He demanded, stomping his foot down.
The creature didn't even process King's words, raising a clawed hand roaring at him. He ducked quickly, narrowly avoiding becoming shreds and running to avoid the other hand that came crashing down on him. He entered the hallway and screamed as he began running away from it. The beast was on his tail, crashing into a window and giving chase.
King attempted to lose it by making several sharp twists and turns inside of the Owl House, but it seemed to know where he was going as if it was familiar with the new hunting grounds it was on.
"This is how it ends! Mom would be so disappointed!" He shouted turning the hallway again before a yellow gloved hand grabbed onto him, pulling him inside of the room they were hiding in. Another hand covered his mouth as the person kept him quiet.
He heard the creature grunting as it stomped past the door and continued to search for prey.
Looking up at this person, King gasped.
"Luz?!"
"Hey Boo-Boo buddy, so glad you're safe." She greeted quietly, putting him down carefully.
"I thought you got eaten by whatever's in the house, where'd you go?!" He shouted.
"Quiet, I'm fine… You'll alert the monster… And I went to find this!" Luz then revealed Eda's staff to King. "You were gone when I got back… You know, holding this in hand just feels right, A whole lot better than you think… I also lost my shoe- Oh you found it!" She took the shoe back and slipped it on.
"Hey what's that?" King asked, removing a slip of paper from the bottom of her shoe and reading, "Keeps the curse at Bay… Wait…" King reached into his collar and pulled out the other half of said tag, putting them together he read "An elixir a day keeps the curse at bay!" In King's mind, the pieces started to fall into place.
"Curse? What are you trying to say?" Luz asked, sitting in front of him, holding Eda's staff to her side.
"I was wrong the whole time! That's no Snaggleback or Demon! That creature is-!"
*CRASH*
"AH!" Luz and King screamed in unison, watching as a clawed hand broke through the wall.
The creature had heard them shouting.
King quickly climbed onto Luz's shoulders as Luz took a stance with the staff.
"Can't you see? That beast isn't any old monster-" King shouted as the entire beast broke down the wall and stared them down with an evil, almost crazed grin.
"It's Eda?!" Luz shouted as she stepped back in shock. "Is this the curse that they were talking about when she fought her sister?!" She asked, remembering back to about a few days ago. She couldn't move, she was frozen in place.
"The flash."
'What?' Luz heard the Copy's voice in her head.
"The phone's flash, USE IT!"
Luz didn't question the disembodied voice twice, pulling out her phone and opening the camera in record time, just as Eda raised an arm to strike. She snapped a picture just as Eda swung.
The bright flash of the camera made Eda's eyes return to normal before dilating to a fine point. Eda roared extremely loud in pain, covering her eyes and receding into a ball. The swing of the clawed hand caused Luz to drop her phone. Luz cringed, hearing a glass screen cracking. She could worry about that later.
Luz quickly scooped up King into her arms, jumping out the window and onto the balcony, hiding out of sight. She covered King's mouth and her own as well, as Eda recovered from the flash, looking everywhere for her pray that seemingly escaped for the moment.
Luz carefully reached for a canned plant and tossed it in a random direction, Eda's head made a full 180, like an owl, before dashing away to find the noise.
Luz poked her head above the cover and confirmed that she was gone.
"How'd you know that'd work?" King asked as he followed Luz back into the room.
"I… I guess that I just felt it…" She lied before picking up her shattered phone. She sighed. "Oh man…" She said softly. "There was so much Azura left to read…" She said before going through the camera roll, seeing the terrifying image of Eda in this beast form. "What are we going to do?" She turned off her phone, suddenly her copy was staring back at her.
"You're welcome!" The copy said, waving and smiling before it shimmered away.
"Luz! Your arm!"King pointed out.
"Huh?" Luz asked, puzzled, looking at her forearms, she shrieked. There was quite the gash in her left arm, it dripped blood onto the floor. Looking at it, it resembled a wild animals claw marks. "AH! I must've gotten it when Eda swung at me..! So why doesn't it hurt?" She asked herself.
Suddenly the wound began to hiss as it released steam, beginning to heal itself. Soon, the gashes turned into three scar lines on her forearm. Luz simply stared at it. "It didn't even sting…" She whispered, rubbing her arm.
She was brought back to the matter at hand when they heard a roar and crash coming from the kitchen. "What even happened to her?"
"Ugh, this is all my fault!" King said as he flopped onto his butt and hugged his legs as he laid his forehead onto his knees. "That potion probably prevented her from turning into that Owl Beast, now she's stuck as that nightmare all because I just wanted to educate you about Demons!" King vented as he sighed. "I just don't want you to make the same mistakes the old ones did… That maybe people would finally start caring about Demons if the Future Empress did…" He said softly, albeit, cryptically.
Luz was silent for a moment before sighing and sitting next to King, wrapping an arm around King and giving a sideways hug. "Look, King, I don't know what My Dad or past Emperors did to Demons that was so bad, you're scared that I'll become like them too, maybe you can tell after this. But for now, I can make a promise to you." Luz said softly.
King sniffed. "A promise?"
"Yeah, watch." Luz then stood up and placed a hand over her heart. "I, Luz Noceda-Belos, as the current princess, and future Empress of the Boiling Isle, promise never to hurt anyone of Demon Kind so long as I may rule!" Luz said before shaking King's hand.
King looked ready to ball up into tears at any minute.
"T- Thank you, Luz… You have no idea how much that means to a lowly demon like me…"
Luz reached into her pocket and pulled out King's reflective pen. "You lowly? Nahhh, you're the King of Demons, remember?" She said, handing him the pen. "Look king, it's time to finish the lesson, Eda has turned into some kind of demon, and who knows more about demons than the best demon teacher in the Boiling Isles?"
King giggled, happy to teach Luz.
He snatched a clump of leaves from the various plant Eda cultivated on her balcony and began writing. "So, what we know so far is that she's big, covered in feathers, and has big black eyes… Hmm… Oh! Luz! Demons with black eyes like that are usually affected by bright lights, like earlier with your Human rectangle of yours!"
"I can't use it though," She pulled her phone from her pocket, "The camera is busted something bad."
"How about the light spell?"
"I can't, it may go haywire, if Eda doesn't kill us, the rains will, or the mini-sun I make trying to save us…" Luz sighed before sinking to the floor and leaning against a wall and looking through her phone a bit. "We're all but doomed…" She played the video, with which Eda made the spell circle. Of course, the phone, which seemed to be damaged beyond repair at this point, glitched halfway through and froze mid-video.
However...
"Huh? What's that?" She looked harder at the frozen video, "There's a pattern in the spell circle!" She announced her discovery.
King looked over but couldn't see what she was looking at. "Where?"
She grabbed a leaf and his pen, "It looks like…" She put the leaf on the phone and traced over the Glyph. "This…" She finished tracing and tapping the leaf.
The leaf then glowed and crumbled into a small ball of…
"Light…" She whispered, holding the small orb in her hands. "It's beautiful…" She whispered softly. This had to be the first spell she cast without it going haywire in the end.
"I know exactly what to do…"
-Y-Y-
Eda now was scouring the living room, seemingly forgetting that she was looking for elusive pray.
Suddenly a clicking, looking over to the source of the noise and seeing a gray figure mumbling, then their hand glowed!
Then it did!
Didn't...
Did!
Didn't...
It didn't hurt like that pesky bright light! It was so shiny; it would be perfect for the nest!
Eda had to have it!
King screamed as Eda finally gave chase, he ran down the hallway as the thundering footsteps of the Owl Beast trailed behind him, just as quickly as the chase started, he dodged out the way into a side hall.
The Owl Beast attempted to correct itself but alas, books! She slipped and fell clumsily, sliding all the way and crashing in front of Luz, who threw a blanket over her to confuse and stumble her.
"Sorry about this Eda! You'll thank me for this later!" Luz shouted, completing the final line in the Glyph before smacking it with much force.
The Glyph glowed bright gold and bright, just what Luz was hoping for. It began glowing brighter and brighter, sending pulses of glowing golden light at Luz and Eda, it seemed and felt like waves washing over them. This was powerful magic, old magic.
Eda screeched in pain and discomfort as the light overtook her and washed over her, the entirety of the world becoming so… Bright…
Bright…
Bright…
"BRIGHT!" Eda screamed as she awoke, a straw in her mouth and back in her nest. "Huh? What happened?" She then felt feathers on her person. "Ah!" She quickly slurped the rest of the potion to finish the cure.
"Ugh… It feels like I ate roadkill…" Suddenly she held her mouth before barfing up the Snaggleback from earlier
"I'm Just… going to lie here…" Arin said softly, staying curled into a ball, wanting to process this entire strange ordeal.
"Hey, I was looking for this," Eda said, picking up the bottle and downing the rest of it. Better safe than sorry.
"Eda! You're OK!" King shouted, tackling the Owl Lady into her nest with a strong hug. "I took your elixir! Sorry! I didn't know this'd happen!" He quickly apologized.
"You stole my Elixir, King?! I outta break every bone in your-"
"Before you kill me! Looooook!" He pointed at the corner of the room. Luz was drawing on slips of paper, from destroyed journals that the Owl Beast had slipped on. Looking closer, Eda could see light orbs floating into the air and all-around Luz, a matter of fact, they were all over the room.
"Woah, there's so many…" She stood from her nest, "How is she doing that?"
"I don't know, she figured it out all on her own! Guess that's what happens when you're the Emperor's kid!" King commented, "Just destined for amazing things…" He turned back and looked up at Eda. "Hey, things got out of hand cause I wanted to teach Luz about demons and stuff… I'm sorry." He commented.
"Well, you better be! I have an entire list of gross chores with your name on it!" She said, before picking him up and petting his head. "It's not entirely your faults though…" She said, walking over to Luz, holding King.
"Was this the curse Dad said He'd heal? I thought you won the duel?" Luz asked.
Eda then laughed softly. "Yeah, about that…
-Y- Flashback -Y-
Eda and Lilith were holding each other up as they entered the sickbay, currently, the head of the Healing Coven, Lady Hele, was here.
She heard the shuffling and saw Lilith and The Owl Lady of all people. Looking harder, she saw that they needed healing.
"There better be a reason that you both have…" Her eyes glowed baby blue, as she scanned them both. "Multiple bruises and magic burns…"
"We were dueling, Lady Hele," Lilith stated as she and Eda sat on a cot.
"DUELING?" She yelled as she went to a cabinet and started to pull out a box and several other things. "Do you know stupid that is?! The both of you could have combined spells and made a dangerous combo! Don't you remember learning what happened when the Demon Lord shot a Beast Ball at Belos and he counter-spelled it?"
"No, we don't, we weren't there 40 years ago," Eda answered.
"Well, still," she continued, "The Emperor's counter-spell and the Demon Lord's Beast Ball combined, creating explosive magic so powerful, it destroyed the entirety of the Demons homeland! You better not have tried to show off!"
"It's not like we were using high-level spells!" Eda defended herself. Just elements and stuff alike, no one was in danger."
"Don't forget what Lady Hieronymus can do with the elements."
Lady Hieronymus, a triclops who had climbed the ranks like Lilith, was known to be able to use elemental magic to make potions in seconds. It was said that she could bend even the hardest chemicals and elements for the hardest potions.
Eda scoffed and crossed her arms. "My potions are better…" She said to herself.
Lady Hele rolled her eyes and began to work on the sisters, that was when King ran in and jumped on the cot, congratulating her for not being turned to stone.
Before the celebrations could truly begin, Emperor Belos walked into the room, his presence is felt before he even entered.
"Belos! What can I do for you?"
"Now, Lady Hele what have discussed?"
Lady Hele blushed and nodded, bowing respectfully. "Sorry, Emperor, Belos…" She corrected herself.
"At ease," He said as he waved his hand. She rose back up and continued patching the sisters up. "Now, Clawthornes, don't think I didn't see what you did in the arena."
Eda and Lilith were silent.
"BLINDFLA-" Eda shouted raising her staff but Belos lifted his staff to freeze her in place.
"Let's not rush to violence. You see, I do not wish to make my daughter sullen towards me, so I'm going to overlook it but at the cost of editing the terms… Once you prove to me that you taught my daughter control of her magic, then I will heal you of your curse. This isn't a debate." He said before releasing Eda back onto the cot.
Lady Hele sighed in relief, glad that Belos wasn't going to turn her Med-Bay into a bloodbath.
Belos turned and left the room. "Have a lovely day, sisters."
