Time Skip: Tomorrow night, New Years party, 11:57 p.m.
Third Person POV
The party looks like it might go down in history. It's amazing! The lights, the sounds, the food, the huge tower with huge ball and big countdown timer that won't start until 11:59. As for Aaron, he's been walking around the party looking for Karen. It's he sees her somewhere, but everytime he gets close, Karen's no longer in the same place. He's been chasing her for 13 minutes. Aaron was starting to think that Karen didn't want to be friends anymore. Aaron just walked away in defeat.
Karen however, was just scared of how Aaron would react to her feelings. That's why she's been avoiding him all night. But when she saw Aaron walk away, she thought, "Dang it Karen! Why do you always have to nervous about things at the worst time possible?!" She decided to go after him.
Aaron was just about to leave the park when all of a sudden, Karen grabbed his arm and said, "Aaron wait!" Aaron turned around to see Karen's face. She took a deep breath and said, "Aaron, you're a smart, kind, and brave person and I've never seen anyone like you before. I still remember the time you saved me from Doris. No one's ever stood up to her before. I couldn't stop thinking about you after that." Karen's face went red when she finally said, "Aaron, I like you. I understand if you don't feel the same way."
Aaron realized that everything that happened to him during the past few days. Karen had a crush on him. He thought about it for second, then said to her, "Karen, if you had a crush on me, you could've just said something. You know I'm an understanding person. I'm with you 'til the end of the line. Of course I'll accept your feelings. I'm willing to give it a shot." In just a second, Karen embraced Aaron while crying tears of happiness. Coincidently, at the same time the New Years' timer was at 11, the timer went down, and everyone started counting down with it. "10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1, HAPPY NEW YEAR!" When the ball reached the bottom of the tower, it started an amazing light show. With the light show happening in the background, Karen and Aaron met each other's eyes, and slowly came together for kiss. Ah yes, a New Year indeed.
