Down in the observation bunker once more, Rumi watched the many screens as Izuku and Kirishima faced off in the empty street. Her ears picked up the faint sound of panicked breathing, and Rumi glanced over to see the brown-haired girl looking like she was going to be sick. For a second, Rumi considered giving the nervous girl some words of encouragement. However, she decided it would be crueler to replace the girl's fear with false hope instead of leaving her to her own thoughts.

Standing on the side of the street opposite of Kirishima, Izuku rolled his shoulders several times before nodding towards his opponent. "You know the rules, start whenever you are ready."

Kirishima nodded wordlessly and adopted a classic fighting stance as Izuku readied his shotgun. For several seconds the two fighters stared at each other in silence, the only sound being the wind gently blowing through the street.

Then the battle began.

Kirishima's body instantly hardened as Izuku rapidly fired two shots from his shotgun, the beanbag rounds impacting uselessly against the teen's torso as Kirishima grinned. Rushing straight towards his opponent, Kirishima quickly closed the distance between him and Izuku and began delivering a flurry of crushing blows. Put on the defensive, Izuku dodged every attack with ease as each attack turned the street into a series of crumbling craters. Sliding backwards, Izuku holstered his shotgun and turned around to run away. Immediately, Kirishima picked up a cinderblock-sized chunk of concrete and threw it at Izuku like a baseball pitcher. But it seemed that was exactly what Izuku had wanted to happen, as he ducked under the projectile and suddenly reversed direction, sprinting straight at a surprised Kirishima.

As Kirishima tried to bring his arms back into a classic boxing guard stance, Izuku reached forward and sprayed a can full of military-grade pepper spray directly into Kirishima's eyes. Stumbling backwards in surprise, Kirishima growled in frustration as he uselessly pawed at his burning eyes.

Rumi frowned as she watched the battle unfold on screen. Izuku might have gained a temporary advantage, but it would not amount to anything if he did not figure out a way past Kirishima's seemingly impenetrable defense.

"Argh! Fight me like a man you coward!" Kirishima yelled in frustration as he blindly swung wild haymakers in Izuku's general direction.

Taking the opportunity to blast some more pepper spray into Kirishima's swollen eyes, Izuku laughed mockingly as he easily evaded his opponents attacks. "Why? You only want me to fight fair because you benefit from it. If you were a real man like you say you are you would fight me and win regardless of the circumstances. Grow the fuck up you brat."

Roaring with frustrated anger, Kirishima continued to wildly throw punches around him as Izuku reached into one of his tactical pouches and pulled out a rectangular device. The many cameras zoomed in on the device in Izuku's hands, revealing that it was a menacing looking stun gun. Reaching into another pocket, Izuku threw a weighted wire at Kirishima's feet. Like a modern version of the classic South American bola weapon, the steel wire had two magnetic weights on either end that ensured whatever the wire wrapped around was thoroughly entangled.

With the modern bola tying his legs together, Kirishima fell forward with a thud and began to thrash around as he tried to untangle his legs. As the teen struggled with the wire around his ankles, Izuku threw another metal bola at the teen's hands. With both his hands and feet tied together, Kirishima growled in frustration and changed tactics. Instead of trying to untie the wires himself, the teen decided to break out with brute force. With the sound of creaking and straining metal, Kirishima used his enhanced strength to slowly stretch the cables to their breaking point. But before the red-haired teen could make any progress, Izuku casually walked forward and looked down apathetically at the struggling teen.

"Not all problems can be solved with brute force." He said coldly. "If you were the least bit creative you would not be in this position. Anyways, time to end this."

Rumi's eyes widened in surprise as Izuku suddenly jammed the business end of his electrical weapon into Kirishima's open mouth and depressed the activation button. With an audible crackle of high-voltage electricity, Kirishima spasmed wildly as Izuku ruthlessly shocked the soft insides of his mouth. For almost a full twenty seconds the cold-blooded agent continuously shocked his opponent, only stopping once Kirishima's skin returned to its normal softness. Like all the previous battles, it seemed that Izuku wanted to be sure his opponent was down for the count. Pulling out his pistol, the green-haired agent fired three point-blank shots into Kirishima's skull. Seemingly satisfied, Izuku casually began to reload his weapons as the doors of the observation bunker opened.

Following everyone out of the bunker, Rumi did her best to hide her proud smile as the teachers all watched the medical robots carry away the unconscious Kirishima.

Done reloading his weapons, Izuku looked at the small group of teachers expectantly. "Am I going to get lectured again? If so, keep it short please."

The teachers were all silent as Izuku stared at them with his cold gaze, until finally Izuku turned to face the brown-haired girl.

"Your turn Uraraka." Izuku said flatly.

With a terrified expression on her face, Uraraka nodded slightly and slowly walked out into the battle-scarred street.

As the meek girl took her place on the opposite side of the street, the teachers and Rumi all went back into the observation bunker. The feeling of dread from the teachers was almost palpable to Rumi. It was clear they were expecting the worst to happen during this last battle, and Rumi could not deny that their fears might come true.

Up on the street, Izuku took his place and nodded slightly at Uraraka. "You know the rules. Begin whenever you are ready."

Looking several shades paler than she normally did, Uraraka nodded weakly and took a fighting stance. Finally she burst into motion, immediately diving behind a nearby overturned metal table and taking cover.

However, all Izuku did was holster his shotgun and cross his arms like a disappointed parent.

"Do you really think you can win this?" Izuku said loudly so Uraraka could hear him. "Your friends did not stand a chance, what makes you think you can fare any better?"

Rumi sighed as Izuku talked. She could already guess what her partner's plan was for the final match. It seemed he was intent on using psychological warfare tactics to win against his terrified opponent. In a twisted sort of way, Izuku was trying to get each student to overcome their major weaknesses. Rumi did not need to look at Uraraka's psychological profile to know the girl had self-esteem issues, not to mention her lack of faith in her own abilities.

"How did you even get into UA in the first place?" Izuku said mockingly as he slowly advanced. "You are a third-rate hero with a shitty quirk! I am amazed that you somehow managed to last this long. I mean, if I were you I would just drop out. At least that way you won't be such a burden on your friends. God knows they probably secretly hate having to drag your dumb ass everywhere. I mean you dont even look cute, I would say average at best. I am sure that if there was a popularity poll of your class you would come in dead last!"

Rumi cringed as Izuku ramped up his verbal assault. The poor girl looked like she had frozen in place, a sad look of disbelief on her face as she listened to the agent's toxicity.

"You are fucking worthless!" Izuku shouted. "Did you really think a girl like you would ever make it as a pro-hero? I mean look around you, this kind of work demands perfection in every way. All you manage to do is scrape by on the absolute minimum. Eraserhead probably only keeps you around because he feels bad for you! If I was your teacher I would have kicked you out the second I saw you!"

Rumi knew she was the only one who could see how much Izuku was hurting himself with every word he spoke. How he was sacrificing his good name and image to teach the girl one of life's hardest lessons. That sometimes the worst kind of pain you can experience was the result of someone's words. How you needed to be able to ignore all the bullshit that was said to you and focus on doing your job.

Rumi was broken out of her thoughts by the sound of furious voices.

"I am going to fucking kill that bastard!" Midnight said with hateful venom dripping from every word. "How dare he talk to her like that!"

Rumi glanced over at Eraserhead who had been standing silently as the other teachers tried to calm down the enraged Midnight.

If looks could kill, Izuku would have been turned to ash in an instant.

Rumi knew that once the match was over she would need to immediately put herself between Eraserhead and Izuku, as violence was almost guaranteed.

On screen, Izuku slowly walked closer to the cowering Uraraka. His words clearly had an effect on his target, as Uraraka was now sniffling quietly and wiping tears from her eyes.

Slowly pulling out his pistol, Izuku walked around the table until he could see his opponent. "People like you need to know their place. Go back to your family construction business, at least there you might do some good. If you keep on trying to be a pro-hero you are just going to get people killed. All because you thought it would be fun to be a pro-hero. Your friends will get murdered in front of you trying to protect you, and anyone you try to save will die cursing your name."

Towering over Uraraka, Izuku slowly pressed the barrel of his pistol against her head as she cried quietly.

"Do the world a favor and give up. Trust me, you are never going to amount to anything." Izuku said coldly.

Rumi could only watch sadly as Uraraka said nothing, her tears staining the ground beneath her as Izuku's got ready to remorselessly execute her.

Then something unexpected happened.

Just as Izuku was about to pull the trigger, Uraraka burst into motion and disarmed him with a classic self-defense technique. With a dumbfounded look on his face, Izuku did not have any time to react as Uraraka punched him square in the balls.

Rumi could not help but grin as she watched Izuku fall to the ground like a bag of bricks. "Good for you kid." She said quietly.

Immediately the teachers ran out of the observation bunker and rushed to Uraraka. It seemed the act of surprise defiance had taken all of Uraraka's mental strength, as she was discovered simply kneeling on the ground next to Izuku sobbing softly.

Letting the teachers care for their distressed student, Rumi watched as Principal Nezu gave Uraraka a warm hug and gently led her away. There were obviously some choice words said by Midnight and Eraserhead, but eventually the teachers all left. Leaving Rumi alone with her motionless partner.

Smirking knowingly, Rumi walked over and gently nudged her partner with her foot. "You can stop faking now, they all left."

Immediately sitting up showing no signs of pain, Izuku sighed loudly as he got to his feet. "Well at least one of them managed to exceed my expectations. Now the problem is getting out of here without getting murdered by Eraserhead."

Rolling her eyes, Rumi chuckled and patted Izuku on the back. "Hey, you did what you had to do. Sometimes the best way to learn is the hard way. Not everyone may agree with your teaching methods, but I am sure that those kids will remember this lesson for a long time."

Shrugging, Izuku dusted himself off and began collecting his gear. "Yeah, I am just worried I might have done more harm than good with that last girl. Physical injuries heal with time, but stuff like that sticks around forever. I hope she can overcome her fears and doubts. She definitely has the potential to be someone great, I just hope that she can learn to stop doubting herself."

Nodding in agreement, Rumi fell into step beside Izuku as they walked out of the training grounds. The two walked in comfortable silence until they finally reached Izuku's car, only to find Principal Nezu waiting for them expectantly.

"Agent Midoriya." The furry administrator said evenly. "I will not say I am pleased with the way you went about things, but I can understand why you decided to go that route. Hopefully the students will learn from this as well."

Putting his gear in the trunk of his car, Izuku nodded stiffly. "I understand sir. I apologize for my unorthodox methods." Coming around to the front of the car, Izuku bowed respectfully to Principal Nezu. "I was wondering if I could send you an after-action report of today's training lessons. I would be happy to write a full report summarizing my experience and offering suggestions for future training."

Smiling, Principal Nezu nodded in agreement. "That would be wonderful Agent Midoriya. Though I would like to request one thing."

"What would that be sir?" Izuku asked curiously.

Principal Nezu gestured behind him towards the general direction of the school. "Along with your report, I would like you to write a letter to each student you trained with today. A sort of olive branch if you will. I would hate to leave the students with a bad impression of you, so I was hoping you could write to each of them and explain your training methods. Just tell them what you thought of them and ways they could improve."

Frowning at the unexpected request, Izuku nodded seriously. "I can do that sir. I hope that it will be enough to smooth things over."

Principal Nezu chuckled. "I think that everyone will eventually realize you were simply acting in their best interests. I look forward to reading your report." Turning to Rumi, Principal Nezu gave her a respectful nod. "Thank you for coming today Miruko. I appreciate you taking time out of your day to train with us."

Smiling, Rumi nodded back. "No problem. It was actually more fun than I thought it would be. Maybe I will come back some day."

Smiling, Principal Nezu gave the two partners one last bow before turning to leave. "Have a good day you two. Don't get into too much trouble."
