Percy's POV
It was Friday. Almost exactly a week since he and Grover met up at the park. Percy had a quiz in History and was trying to make it there in time. For once he was just about to make it until he bumped into someone.
"Oh, sorry." he said, turning around to see who he crashed into. To say that he was not really surprised to see the Blonde haired girl who he bumped into was an understatement.
Percy kept running into Annabeth. First was on Sunday the day after he saw her at the park. She was going to get coffee and he was going to go see Leo and Jason, Percy was walking past the coffee shop and she was coming out.
At first he thought it was just some crazy coincidence, but then on Wednesday they saw each other again. He had just got back from practice and was just about to walk into the complex's door when he saw Annabeth walking on the other side of the street walking somewhere.
Then again on Friday, but he wasn't sure if she saw him because it was in traffic and he was trying his best not to get seen by her because it would be even more weird.
It was now officially not some crazy coincidence and just plain crazy. Can you run into a person that much without even trying? Percy wasn't necessarily complaining though, she was kinda cute, but that also didn't mean that all of this was just normal. Because it wasn't.
He called Grover about what was happening and he just laughed, probably thinking he was crazy for thinking that something crazy was going on. After that he told no one else in fear that they wou
"It's fine." She said rearranging the papers in her hand "Though we seem to be running into each other a lot."
So she noticed. He thought. Percy was glad that he was not the only one. "Yeah," he said awkwardly, "Well I got to go, and sorry again." he apologized, and then he rushed right into his history class.
Luckily he made it just in time. "Alright," Mr. Brunner said. He was probably Percy's favorite teacher, he understood him and was pretty nice for the most part. In most of his classes Percy wasn't the best, but in History he was decent. "As you all know there is a little quiz today," everyone in the class looked as excited as someone saying "have fun doing five hours of homework!"
Same as everyone else Percy was not excited for this quiz. He was trying to study the night before because everyone knows that Percy is not exactly the best at school, but he tried his best.
The Night before Percy stayed up until 11:45 at night because he could not focus on studying and kept getting distracted with his surroundings. Eventually he got a little work done and fell asleep before he could even change. So when the day came around he was tired.
"Today's quiz," the history teacher continued, and after that Percy barely heard anything and was just about ready to fall asleep.
"Mr. Jackson?" the tired 16 year old looked more awake
"Yes?"
"Are you still with us? Or do you need to go find a place to go take a nap?" the teacher asked
"I'm here." he mumbled
"Great! Now remember students…." Percy listened closely trying not to miss something else and be called out in front of the entire class again.
Once the papers were passed out and everyone could start Percy looked down at the first question, closed his eyes and took a deep breath. He didn't know what the question was asking.
Annabeth's POV
When she bumped into Percy (yet again) she was not happy. It was getting really awkward between the two. Annabeth had no idea what to say because after the first few times she saw him and he saw her it was a simple "hello" but now that they were nearly passing each other almost everyday it was getting weird.
It wasn't the worst of her problems though. Her mom was starting to have to work more and a lot later, so that meant everyday after she would have to go home if it was a Tuesday or Thursday and make dinner for herself and Malcolm, and if it was a Monday, Wednesday, or Friday she would have to go pick Malcolm up from his after school clubs.
Since it was a Friday she would have to go pick Malcolm up. Annabeth also had a math test so when she bumped into Percy she had to take a slight detour. It wasn't too bad though, Percy was not exactly bad looking and he also felt as weirded out about them passing each other almost everyday as she did.
When she got into her math class she was relieved it hadn't started yet. Annabeth always liked to come early and was never late. One bad thing about that was Luke was always there trying to apologize to Annabeth even though they broke up months ago.
When class started Annabeth felt relieved that she no longer had to try and ignore Luke and instead listened to the teacher. Since she was an all honor student that meant that things would be harder and she would also have to work a lot harder, but she always liked a challenge.
