"Sick?" Delphine said into the phone, eyes wide. "Are you okay?"

"It's just a stomach bug, nothing to worry about." Cosima said. "It's just one study session, we can reschedule."

"I guess that's best," Delphine tried to hide her disappointment.

Not only did she have an important exam that she wanted to study for with Cosima but she also found herself looking forward to seeing Cosima, more so than anything else in her schedule; that included her date that was supposed to be after her study session.

She straightened her hair, preparing for her date but her mind raced with worries of Cosima. What if it was something serious? What if she had no one to take care of her?

It wasn't even a choice whether she went on her date or to visit Cosima. Her choice would always be Cosima.

"What are you doing here?" Cosima asked, startled to see Delphine at her door.

"I made you soup," Delphine offered. She stepped into Cosima's without being invited. She was going to take care of the brunette one way or the other. Cosima wore a pleated plaid skirt and black tee shirt with Doc Martens, hardly what Delphine had imagined.

"Oh, I had ordered food," Cosima admitted sheepishly.

"Food? Are you feeling better?" Delphine raised an eyebrow, her suspicion growing.

"Yeah... No... I—"

"— You lied to me!" Delphine raised her voice. "You didn't want to see me!"

"Not today," Cosima said softly. "I didn't know how to feel about you having a date. I panicked, okay? I figured I'd spend the day moping around and feeling sorry for myself."

"And now?" Delphine pushed.

"I feel lousy. And stupid."

"Not victorious?"

"Victorious?" Cosima tilted her head in confusion.

"I cancelled my date. I made you soup. I'm here, Cosima."

Cosima starred at Delphine, stunned. She knew from Delphine's straightened hair that she had been preparing for her date. And yet, here she was in jeans and a camisole with sheer overlay. Although Cosima was certain Delphine would have worn something fancier on a date she couldn't be sure because Delphine was such a knock out.

"But just as friends," Cosima pouted. "I ruined that." Cosima plopped on her couch.

"I'm here," Delphine sat next to her. "Haven't you found it telling? Because I have..."

"What are you saying?"

Instead of answering her, Delphine leaned in and kissed her sensually. In no time at all, Cosima was straddling her as their tongues brushed over one another, taking in each other's kisses.

The end.
