Chapter 11: Visitor
Jazz was thinking over Clockwork's final words as she worked on making Dani something to eat.
'So... Dark Danielle loved Kitty. So much so that even her ghost half felt it.' She thought to herself as she mixed the scrambled eggs she had made with sausage. 'Does... Dani still has feelings for Kitty? I mean she does have nightmares about hurting Kitty in that dark time.'
Jazz poured the scramble from the pan onto a plate and set it in the sink. 'I know Dani feels a little lonely, namely seeing Paulina and Dash start to date after that disasteroid.' She thought, pouring a glass of orange juice.
She picked up the plate and juice and started heading upstairs. 'Maybe I can contact Kitty somehow, see if she still has feelings for my sister still after all this time.' She thought, pushing open Dani's door with her ass.
"Dani, I'm back." Jazz called out entering the room and smiled brightly seeing her sister awake and smiling.
"Hey." Dani said sweetly. The halfa looked much better than when she had first woken up after Fright Knight's attack.
Jazz had continued to look after her little sister even after she had woken up, from changing her bandages to even helping her to the bathroom so she could take a bath.
Jazz smiled, placing the plate on a rolling table and slipped it up to Dani's bedside.
"I made you a sausage scramble."
"Thanks sis." Dani said happily as she picked up the fork and started to eat.
After a minute Jack popped his head into the room. "Hey Jazzy, we got a visitor from the ghost zone. You wanna come down for a minute? They wanna see Dani."
Jazz turned and smiled at her large father. "Sure dad." She called back getting up. "I'll be back Dani." She said, leaning over and kissing her sister on the forehead.
"I'll be here sis." Dani said with a smile.
Jazz walked down the hall with her father when her father looked at her. "So Jazzy, why did you want us to let you know if Dani had a visitor?"
"Depending on who it is, I'd rather wait a few more days for Dani to get more rest. Like Ember is sometimes a little high strung." She says with a smile, causing her father to smile and nod.
"I get it. Don't want Dani to get too excited for a few days while she recovers more." Jack said with a smile.
The redhead smiled at her large father and headed down into the basement where the ghost portal was.
"So yeah... I'm really sorry about everything that happened that day. It was mostly an accident." A voice said shyly.
"Oh it's okay, I understand how boys can be." Maddie replied with a giggle.
"Thanks Ms. Fenton, it means a lot to hear that." The other voice said again, only Jazz thought she knew.
As she entered the basement lab and blinked at the sight of Kitty and her mom talking. 'Oh god... And here I was thinking I'd need to find her...' She thought to herself.
"There's Jazz." Maddie said, noticing her eldest daughter. "How's Dani doing?"
"She's doing okay, she's still going to need a lot of rest." Jazz says smiling at her mom before turning to Kitty. "Kitty, here to see Dani?"
Kitty smiled and nodded her head. "Yeah I heard she woke up and wanted to come see how she was doing."
"Dani does need rest, but since you are one of her more... Softer friends, I can let you see her." Jazz said with a smile, turning around and waving her hand at Kitty as she walked up stairs.
Kitty quickly followed behind the redhead walking up the stairs with her.
"Actually Kitty, would you mind if we talked for a few minutes? I had a few questions about you." Jazz said stopping at the top of the steps. "Dani's actually eating so it might be good to give her a few minutes to finish anyway." She said with a smile.
"Sure... I actually wouldn't mind getting to know Dani's family anyway."
Jazz led Kitty to the living room and sat down on the couch while Kitty took a seat on the opposite end.
"I actually had a simple question for you to be honest, and all I want is an honest answer." Jazz said sweetly, making Kitty blink, but she nodded her head. "Did you overshadow Star and proceed to date my little sister a few months back?"
Kitty rolled her eyes. "Oh come on. I've been with Johnny forever. Why would you think I'm into girls?" She asked with a sigh. "I like Dani, she's a great girl but as a friend."
"Then why is it that when I asked Star about dating Dani, she had no idea what I was talking about." Jazz said with a smirk. "Thing is Kitty, I know the truth, I just want to hear it from you. That's all. I know a lot more about my little sister's life then she would like me to know. I know she had the chance to be popular when Dash and Paulina became her friends. They were popular and we're gonna make Dani popular as well. Instead her friendship with them settled them down and made them hard working students."
Kitty blinked hearing of Dani's friendship with Dash and Paulina. She let out a sigh and hung her head. "Yeah... I overshadowed Star and secretly dated Dani for about a month."
"Why?"
"Honestly?" Kitty asked, looking up at Jazz. Seeing her nod she let out another sigh. "At first I did it to make Johnny jealous. I was originally gonna overshadow a guy, but I didn't feel comfortable with that so instead choose a random girl from her school. I used blackmail at first but that first week I wouldn't say we really dated. Dani found out the truth at the end of the first week when Johnny blew my cover, and I guess that's when we started to really date, but it was still about me making Johnny jealous." Kitty explained.
"That only covers two weeks. You said a month?" Jazz inquired with a raised eyebrow.
"Yeah it was a month." She said softly. "At the end of the second week I actually had stopped thinking about Johnny and was enjoying my time with Dani... more than I have had with Johnny in a long time. I was looking forward to spending time with her so much I would always seek her out, at that point it was real dating. I could even tell Dani was enjoying it too."
Jazz smiles warmly at Kitty and slides over next to the ghost. "Thank you for telling me the truth Kitty. I wanted to hear it from you." She said softly. "Tell me... do you still have feelings for my sister?"
"Would you stop me from seeing how she is if I did?" Kitty asked, glaring at the redhead.
Jazz shook her head which shocked Kitty who just blinked at the teen. "Not at all." She said with a smirk which shocked the ghost even more.
"Wait... you... don't care if I had feelings for your sister?" Kitty asked shocked.
"Nope, in fact I was hoping you would say yes." Jazz said with a sweet smile. "The reason I knew about you and Dani is because something was very odd about Dani at the time. She was much happier than ever, I wanted to know why so I followed her one day. I honestly thought she was dating Star, but I have been noticing something about Dani in the last few weeks."
"What?" Kitty asked.
"She seems to be lonely, so I went to ask Star about maybe getting back with Dani and she had no idea what I was talking about." Jazz explained with a blush. "Talk about embarrassing. I thought for sure Star was dating Dani that I just blurted it out to her."
Kitty just stared at the redhead at what she was being told. "Are... are you... are going to suggest that I try and get back with Dani?"
Jazz looked at Kitty and nodded her head. "I will, and am." She said softly. "My little sister is lonely. She won't admit it, not even to herself but I know she is." She said, hanging her head. "Tell me... it was Dani's idea to keep your dating secret right?"
"It was... how did you know?"
"My parents. They aren't to keen on the idea of same sex couples. She might even think I'm the same and in truth... I was for the longest time. I was disgusted when I saw you and Dani together and Dani being so happy." Jazz admitted sadly. "I talked with a friend after Dani got hurt through and I started thinking differently." She said looking up at Kitty. "I don't care if Dani likes other girls, all I want is for her to be happy. That's why I went to Star, and now you."
"What about the fact I'm a ghost?" Kitty asked. "I thought that would concern you even more."
"Honestly... It doesn't. When I saw you and Dani together I was honestly thinking it would be better if she was with a ghost than a girl, so... why not a ghost girl now?" Jazz says with a shrug. "I just ask one thing if you try and rekindle what you had with my sister." She says looking at Kitty.
"What is that?"
"Don't tell her I know about you two. Keep it like you had it before, at least until she's ready. I did the same thing when I learned about her being half ghost. It's her secret, she can tell me when she's ready." Jazz said with a smile.
Kitty looked down at the ground in thought for a moment, before looking back up at Jazz. "And you're completely sure that you're okay with me, a female ghost, pining for Dani's affection?" Kitty asked.
"I am, so long as you don't hurt her. I would be more than okay with you and Dani being together." Jazz replied, still smiling at the ghost. "I show'd you Dani's room when you visited while she was hurt, so I'll even do this. You go up and spend some time with her, just the two of you."
Kitty blushed lightly. "Aren't you worried that I'm still with Johnny?"
"Are you?" Jazz asked with a smirk.
"Well... no... but..."
"Then I don't see a problem. Just don't cheat on her and always be honest with her." The redhead said standing up from the couch and heading to the kitchen.
Kitty watched as Jazz left in shock. She never expected Dani's elder sister to try and push her to be with Dani. She was actually expecting Jazz to go full Maddie on her ass if it came out she still liked the halfa.
The green haired ghost shrugged her shoulders, completely lost as to Jazz's reasoning before standing up and ascending the stairs and heading towards Dani's room, knowing if she used her powers inside, the house's defences would attack her.
She smiled as she stopped in front of Dani's door. She opened the door and stuck her head inside grinning widely seeing Dani looking out the window facing away from the door. She stepped inside quietly, sneaking up behind the half before covering the teens eyes with her hands, causing her to let out a squeak.
"Guess who?" Kitty coos.
"Kitty?" Dani called out knowing the voice and twisted around to look at the biker girl with wide eyes.
"Hey." Kitty said with a giggle. "Miss me?"
The halfa just sat there and looked at Kitty in shock at seeing her standing in front of her.
"Hello?" The red eyed ghost calls out waving her hand in front of Dani's face. "I'm not invisible am I?" She asks teasingly.
