The Prefect Bathroom The Gryffindor Common Room and The Grounds, Hogwarts

Jason

Jason went to take a bath. He reached the much fancier prefect bathroom and stepped inside a stall. He undressed and turned on the shower. It felt good after a long day of Hogwarts. He didn't realize, that behind the stall door, he was being watched by Moaning Myrtle.

Afterwards, Jason headed towards the common room. He said the password ('Electius') and the Fat Lady swung open, revealing once again, the Gryffindor Common Room. As he was sleeping, he heard violent noises.

Boom! Bang! "How did they-" "What hap-" What are yo-" People flooded out of their dorms, reaching for the window. Jason got there, easily reaching the window with his 6'1" height (which is one inch taller than Percy btw). Harry with his dismal 5'5" height had to stand on his tiptoe to see. Outside, a violent storm was raging across the area, almost completely demolishing Hagrid's Hut. The Whomping Willow was sawed neatly in half by a lightning bolt, and Greenhouses 1,3 and 5 were missing a lot of windows while 4 was completely gone. The South Tower was taking heavy hits from each lightning bolt, finally a massive one cracking the conical roof into two.

Professor McGonagall came in. "What is going on in here?" She asked as students parted way for her. "Oh, my," she said when she saw the destruction about. Percy took the chance and slipped out of the room, dragging Jason with him. Jason didn't see anyone see them leave; they were too focused on the storm, but he was wrong. Someone did see them leave, and followed them.

Percy hurried to the grand gates of Hogwarts, still dragging Jason in tow. Percy pushed open the doors, and motioned for Jason to follow. "C'mon," Percy called.

"Wait up! What are we doing here?" Jason asked.

"We're going to get involved," Percy stated determinedly. He raised his hands at the storm. For a moment it did nothing, but slowly, the rain started to stop. Jason did the same, causing the swirling vortex to slow down. They held it that way for a while, sweat tracing their cheeks with so much strain. Finally, the storm collapsed. Jason and Percy slumped onto the ground, both trying to catch their breath. Suddenly, a black figure swooped upon them, knocking them both painfully onto the ground.

Percy

When Percy could regain his vision, he saw that their attacker was a Chimera, a deadly creature from Tartarus. Percy and Jason reflectively sprang back, their wands turning into Juno's Gladius and Riptide respectively. (Did you know that Ivlivs stands for Ivlivs Caesar, or Julius Caesar. So Riptide was Hercules's sword, while Ivlivs was Julius's sword. Nice) As the Chimera rose to strike at Jason with its snake tail, Percy blocked the hit with the flat of his blade. As its mouth turned around to lunge at Percy, Jason stabbed it in its underbelly, one of its few weak spots. The Chimera roared in pain and rage, spitting acid and fire everywhere. They ducked back, Percy forcing the acid to shoot back at the beast while Jason blew a harsh wind over the fire, causing the Chimera to burn. The Chimera stupidly howled in pain, giving Percy a clean opportunity to strike at its mouth. However, Riptide got stuck in the monster's mouth, and Percy couldn't dislodge it fast enough before it pounced at Percy, its claws no longer retracted. Jason quickly striked its abdomen, causing it to stop midway, collapsing into a pool of monster dust and teeth. Jason blew away the dust with wind as he helped Percy up. "Well, I'm glad that was over," Jason remarked.

"Yeah, me too," Percy agreed. "Last time I faced a Chimera, I had to escape. I guess we make a good team."

"I guess so," Jason answered. They headed back, anxious to return without being noticed.

Harry

Harry had seen them go out, and he quickly grabbed Ron and the Invisibility Cloak and followed. They saw how Percy and Jason had calmed the winds and soothe the rain. They saw them fight the Chimera. It had a goat's body, a lion's head and a dragon's tail. (Harry Potter Chimera and Greek Myth Chimera are slightly different) No one, no one had ever beaten a Chimera before, and with swords instead of wands! Harry wasn't sure what to make of that scene. Well, they have to be very powerful dark wizards to beat a Chimera, he thought. No. He decided. I bet I could beat a Chimera single handedly. After all, I do know how to make a corporeal Patronus, and most adults can't. The guy who killed the Chimera who then fell off his winged horse probably was a lucky loser. Harry thought. I bet I could. I know I could. "What do you make of that?" Ron asked.

"I don't know, honestly," Harry replied.

"They must be very strong," Ron remarked. "I mean a Chimera and all." Harry shrugged. He didn't tell Ron that he thought he could beat a Chimera with ease. They too, headed back to the castle. Harry was thinking. Jackson thinks that Grace and him are a good team. Pfft. I bet I'd be a better teammate with Grace. After all, Jackson did steal one of my friends, so it's fair game. Maybe I even can convince him to be a double agent. I just need to get close to him, and then make a dividing line...
