Doc: Edna!
Marty: Doc?
Edna and Stanford: Emmett?
Edna: What are you doing down here?
Doc: I came here investigate a troubling report that occurred down here involving Mr. Tannen.
Marty: Doc, you've gotta stop her! She…
Doc: Silence!
Marty: Ok.
Doc: I was concerned there would be a flaw in the Citizen Plus Program. And I was surprised when I found out that my wife was perverting my life's work.
Stanford: Well, Tannen here was so confused that Edna tried to control him into doing the right thing with this gadget.
Doc: Is this what this whole thing was about Edna? All those years and struggles to cure societies illnesses, just for free will to be abolished in a click of a switch?!
Stanford: Oh come on Emmett, you wanted this as much as my sister did. Ever since I lost reelection for mayor in 1970, you two agreed to make Hill Valley a better place to live.
Doc: Yes but not by controlling people so they give up their own freedoms.
Edna: But that's the only way too…
Doc: Enough! We will not be having this discussion! Get out of here now! I don't want to see you anymore! I want to divorce you!
Stanford: But you can't…
Doc: You get out as well! And yes this divorce will happen hopefully soon! Then the citizens will have their rights back!
Edna: Fine. Whatever.
(Edna and Stanford leave the room)
Marty: Doc?
Doc: Aaaahhhhhhhhhhh!
Marty: Doc? You alright?
Doc: Father, Mother, are you happy with me now? I'm very sorry you two!
Marty: I'm sure they wouldn't blame you for all this.
Doc: Forget it Martin. What's done is done. It's time to look forward.
Marty: Maybe but maybe not
Doc: What are you talking about?
Marty: Your notebook from the other timeline.
Doc: Not this foolishness!
Marty: But Doc with this, you can fix the time circuits so we everything can go back to the way things are supposed to be. You, me, Edna, Jennifer, my family, and everything else. You once told me that if you put your mind to it, you can accomplish anything. Well, accomplish this.
Doc: But it's blank.
Marty: You only need this pic of the flux capacitor.
Doc: (Looks at the cameras) Great Scott. Martin. This could work. It will take time but it will be worth it. Let's build that time machine.
Marty: It's actually a DeLorean Time Machine that's parked in front of the courthouse park. Here's the keys.
Doc: Thanks Martin! I'll take this over to my lab… aahhh! (Drops keys)
Officer 1: Gotcha Citizen Brown!
Doc: What are you doing with me?
Officer 2: Taking you to the Citizen Plus Ward to be cured from disobedience to your wife.
Doc: You can't do this! (door shuts)
(Einstein barks)
Marty: Einstein? Didn't see you there. (Frees him) Come on boy let's find Doc and set him free.
