SILENCER

Do any others know about you and Goren?

Alex almost swallowed his glass crooked.

- I don't know what you're talking about, Peter!

Detective Peter Lyons stared at Alexandra Eames, expecting her to deny it.

But all she did when she was with Detective Robert Goren, prove there was something between them.

Even when they tried to hide it.

Their eyes lit up when they were together.

She hadn't realized it, but she was looking at him with such adoration and on her side Goren was doing the same. He only had God for her.

He remembered the day he came back with Alexandra to the police station.

Goren looked so sad, so lonely!

And as soon as he saw Alexandra, his face lit up!

He had heard a lot about Goren, but not from someone calm.

And yet with Alexandra he was.

He also remembered that as soon as he was denied anything, he would ask Alexandra to intervene and she would.

He had known Alex for many years and she never acted like that.

She did everything for him, so she usually kept her distance from men, but he on the contrary, she was always glued to him.

- You can tell me, I won't say anything!

Alex hesitated, but from Peter's gaze she knew she could trust him.

- Bobby and I are together! But no one has to know!

From her pocket, she pulled out a picture, stroked it, and showed it to him. It's Jamie, our little boy!

He looked at the photo.

My God, this child looked like his father!

He had never seen a child look so much like a parent!

There could be no doubt about Goren's paternity.

- Nobody knows about Jamie, I guess! Alex nodded, but his gaze clouded. Don't worry I won't say anything! And you know me well enough to trust!

She put the photo back in her pocket, but looked at it for a moment, smiling, her eyes full of adoration.

Goren was mad with jealousy!

Why was Alex hanging out with that damn detective Peter Lyons!

But he had to take it upon himself, not to outrage and especially not to strangle Peter with his hands!

But he was not well without her!

And knowing her with another man, much younger, much more slender, scared him!

He had gained weight over the years and was starting to get old.

Normal that she was attracted to a younger man.

Would she leave him for him, if she had the chance?

Even at the expense of Jamie!

Too many questions undermine him.

- Bobby?

He turned his attention to Alex who was looking at him puzzled.

Why did he look so sad?

Alex didn't like to see him like this.

She stood up, came to sit on the edge of her desk.

- Tell me what's wrong?

He looked up, shaking his head in negation.

- Everything is fine !

He looked so sad.

Why was he lying and not telling her what was wrong?

She took the picture out of her pocket, putting it in his hand.

He looked at the picture she had put in his hand.

At the sight of her little boy, her heart sank.

Alex understood that was wrong, and to comfort him, she had given him the picture of Jamie.

Why did he always doubt everything?

While there she was worried about him.

- Thank you !

Alex smiles, putting his hand in his.

She got up and returned to her desk, flipping through the files.

- Are you finally going to tell me what's wrong?

Bobby had been silent all evening.

Even Jamie hadn't managed to get a word out of him.

She comes and sits down next to him, putting her hand in his, bringing her hand to her cheek, stroking it.

- What's wrong ?

He looked so sad.

He didn't dare look at her.

He was silent.

What more could she do.

She tilted her head, kissing his lips.

- No Alex!

He gently pushed her aside, shaking his head in negation.

Alex was hurt by his refusal.

She stood up, and walked over to the dresser, trying to keep her cool.

Because she was really starting to get fed up!

- Bobby, if you don't trust me what's the point of being together?

Bobby felt his heart break!

She had said the words he had been so afraid she would say.

- It's not…

Alex turned, his back to the dresser and crossing his arms.

- So what is it ?

Bobby resolved to tell him what he was thinking.

- I know very well that if you have the possibility you will go with a younger man, and more handsome! He was clutching his hands on his shirt, anxious. I'm not very young anymore, and far from being a model!

So that was it!

He had so little confidence in himself that he thought things like that.

She walked over to him, her hand lifting her chin, forcing him to look at her.

- I love you for who you are! Can it matter your physique, or your age! She stroked his cheek, smiling at him. Can't you see I'm madly in love with you?

Bobby felt his doubts evaporate.

He grabbed her hand, kissing it.

How he loved Don Alexandra.

- You hurt Jamie tonight! She looked up at her son's room. He could see you were sad and he really wanted to clear your mind.

Bobby stood up, and walked into his son's room.

- Jamie? You sleep.

He heard a small sound.

Jamie sat up on his bed, patting the spot right next to him.

Bobby came to take a seat next to him.

He stroked her ebony curls.

- I'm sorry about tonight! The little one had tears in his eyes. I didn't mean to hurt you. Dad is better now!

The little boy burst into tears, throwing himself into the arms of his father, who greeted him, stroking his back.

He had hurt his son and that he could not forgive himself!

The few times he could take advantage of his son, he shouldn't react like that. It hurt him and especially the little one couldn't understand his moods.

- Jamie, calm down! Please! "Bobby grabbed his little boy's chin with his hand and wiped the tears from his eyes. Daddy, love you and that's all that matters!

The little boy nodded, forcing himself to smile.

- I love you too daddy!

Bobby settled his son comfortably under the sheets, covering him with the duvet, and kissed his cheek.

- Good night, son!

He was about to leave when Jamie called out to him.

- You know I'm here daddy! And if it's not going, you can count on me!

Bobby felt his heart warm, tears rising in his eyes.

Why did he always doubt himself, his entourage, when he really had what it takes to be the happiest man.

He had such a sweet, adorable little boy!

And God he loved his son.

Alex walked slowly over to him, resting his head on his chest, putting his arm around her shoulder, hugging her tightly.

They both stood staring at their dozing sons.

- He is successful our son, eh Bobby?

Bobby nodded.

Yes he had done well this little bit!

He kissed her on the forehead.

- And that's thanks to you, Alex!
