It's been six days since Abby came to Raven and showed her the one-hundred-year-old shuttle. The young mechanic laughed at the doctor when she first told her she had ten days to get the tin can ready to reenter Earth's atmosphere. When Abby didn't budge from her initial time frame. Raven's faced dropped.

After hearing about Abby's plan, Raven replied, "I'll do it, but on one condition." Raven stared into Abby's brown eyes, "I'm going with you."

That was the last thing she said before she started ripping into the ancient machine. Day and night, the mechanic fixed, destroyed, and updated the prehistoric thing. She never left the compartment that housed the shuttle. Abby was the only person to come and see her. At first, the doctor would bring her trays of food and quickly leave after a quick check-up. During one of those times, Raven asked Abby how she could work in secret for so long. The doctor responded that she informed Raven's boss and others that Raven was sick and needed to be quarantined. Of course, the mechanic made a seductive comment, and Abby's cheeks turned red before quickly leaving. Raven laughed, watching the red-faced doctor leave. She just couldn't help herself; it was just in her nature to tease. Gradually, Abby realized this and either answered the young woman with an eye roll or just ignored her in general.

For the past couple of days, Abby started staying longer and chatted with Raven while she worked. Both women seemed to enjoy the other's company and today was no different.

"Stupid, fucking, piece of shit," Raven yells before sucking on her finger that she cut open on a metal shard. She's so focused on the offending piece of machinery she doesn't hear Abby walk in.

The doctor softly smiles and shakes her head as she listens to the continuing swearing mechanic. Abby has given up on trying to scold the young woman for her vulgar language. Now it is just something that makes Raven, Raven.

Striding softly, Abby carries the tray of food towards the table that is covered in blueprints, machine parts, and other gadgets. The chaotic mess reminds the doctor of how Jake's often left his desk sometimes. Clearing a spot, Abby sets the tray down before turning around.

Quietly, Abbey examines the updated machine while Raven hangs half in and half out of the shuttle's hatch, still laboring away. A slight rise of guilt enters the older woman as she witnesses all the young mechanic's work. No one else would have been able to accomplish what Raven has. But the doctor also knew better than to tell the smug mechanic that or she'd never heard the end of it.

Not wanting the food to get cold or be untouched, Abby calls out to the mechanic. "Raven."

Still unaware that the doctor was there, Raven jumps in shock as she hears the older woman's voice. "Shit," she shouts as she hits her head on the bottom of the seat cushion. "Abby, never surprise a mechanic when they are working," Raven yells out as she climbs out of the shuttle rubbing the back of her head.

Abby hides her smile behind her hand. "Sorry," she says, not sounding sorry at all.

Raven sends her a glare, "You're lucky I wasn't working on something that could have blown us up." It wasn't a complete lie. Suppose she had been working on the thrusters or parachutes and jerked bad enough. Well, let's just say it wouldn't have ended well for anyone on the Ark.

Abby apologizes again sounded more sincere than before. "I'm sorry, Raven, I just wanted to let you know I brought you some food."

"Food?" Raven questions tilting her head at the doctor. "You called that soup crap food too."

Abby's cheeks blush at the reminder of her bringing algae soup to her thinking it was quite good. It was only for Raven to spit it back out into her bowl and have the mechanic interrogate her if she was trying to poison her.

"No, I didn't bring the soup. I don't know why you thought it was bad. It tasted perfectly fine to me," Abby says, trying to defend herself.

Raven arches an eyebrow at her that clearly says, 'I'm not buying it.'

Rolling her eyes and letting out a heavy sigh Abby chastises, "Just eat your food before it gets cold."

The young mechanic laughs but complies.

While Raven sits and begins eating her meal, Abby pulls out a small first aid kit onto her lap. It's not the first time she's had to bandage up the young mechanic. "You should wear gloves while working on that old thing. I'll probably have to give you another tetanus shot before you're finished," the doctor comments.

"Nah, these babies need to feel what they are working on, so I know I'm hitting all the right spots," Raven comments while wiggling her fingers and her eyebrows.

Shaking her head, Abby reprimands the mechanic. "How many times do I have to tell you? I'm old enough to be your mother." Grabbing the mechanic's hand, the doctor begins dressing up the injured finger.

Raven shrugs her shoulders, not at all feeling chastised, and says, "Age is just a number, and you're a hot MILF. Can't blame a girl for trying."

Abby pinches the finger she's working on, making Raven squeal out in pain. "You should really be careful what you say when you are being tended to."

"Oh, are we playing doctor and patient now?" Raven remarks, earning her another pinch. "Ouch, I think I was better off inside the shuttle," she says, pulling her finger away from the doctor.

"How's the shuttle coming along?" Abby asks, not commenting or acknowledge the mechanic earlier remark.

"Honestly, I don't know. At this point, it's a fifty-fifty chance it will keep us alive on the reentry." Raven says, shaking her head.

The doctor sighs heavily as she stands and picks up the empty tray. "Raven, we're running out of time. I'm doing all I can to stall them, but Marcus is getting suspicious. Try to do whatever you can to help the percentage go up."

Looking up at the doctor, Raven nods her head. Abby gives her a soft smile then heads for the door. "Raven," She calls back over her shoulder.

The mechanic stops fiddling with a piece of the machine and glances back over towards Abby. "Yeah."

"Make sure the shuttle is always ready to go. We may not have a lot of time before we need to be off this ship." Abby locks eyes with Raven, and the mechanic can read the seriousness in what the doctor just said.

Again the young mechanic nods, and Abby leaves.

"Shit," Raven whispers out as she goes back to work.

Later that evening, it would only be Raven in that shuttle plummeting to Earth, while Abby was being restrained by two guards after she dismantled the compartment's door.

"Abby, why did you do that?" Marcus questions observing her.

"I needed to know Clarke was alive," Abby answers.

"And you couldn't have waited?"

"Marcus, it will be another month before the Ark is even remotely ready to crash down to Earth. You and I both know there isn't enough oxygen up here to keep all of us alive that long." Abby growls out.

"You're right, which is why the Council and Chancellor voted on a plan," the Councilman says.

Abby stares at Marcus in shock. "What... When... How come I don't know anything about this?"

"It seems you were busy doing other things," Marcus retorts before ordering the guards to take the doctor back to her room.

"MARCUS! MARCUS!" Abby yells, trying to fight the two guards as they drag her away from him. "WHAT DID YOU DO, MARCUS! WHAT DID YOU DO?"

The Councilman rubs his forehead as the guards take the doctor away, "What I had to Abby. What I had too," he whispers.
