Ex-Princess of Anarchy

"Everything will be alright darling," Jax said softly as they pulled into the parking lot. "We aren't going to let him hurt you or your family."

"You can't promise that Jax," she responded as she took a deep breath.

"I will be next to you every step of the way," he said as he turned the car off and took her hand.

"Thank you Jax," she said softly as she pressed her forehead against his shoulder.

"Anytime darling," he responded as he pressed a kiss into her hair. "Come one."

As they walked into the hospital Jax held her hand, squeezing it every once in awhile for reassurance. They quickly made their way up to the floor her father was on. Happy kept a decent distance, keeping his eyes scanning their surroundings. They passed several officers on their way up, nodding in acknowledgement.

"I didn't expect Hale to send this many uniforms," she whispered as they passed another.

"That is just the ones you can see. I also placed undercovers," Hale's voice came as they neared her father's room.

"Thank you, Hale, truly," she said as she gave him a hug. "Come in so you can hear the full story, not just the cliffnotes." She took a deep breath as she looked at the door.

"I am with you through all of this," Jax said giving her hand a squeeze.

"Scar!" a voice came as she reached for the door handle. "What is going on?" Tara said as she ran over to her. "Why are all these cops here?"

"Here, come in with us," Scar responded after staring at her for a moment. She quickly opened the door and ushered them all in the hospital room.

"Scarlett, what is going on? Why are there police following us?" her mom's panicked voice came from beside her father.

"I promise I will explain everything mom," she said before taking a deep breath. "Tara, Hale, you might want to sit down. She glanced at them all and took a deep breath as she wiped a tear from her eye. She felt Jax's hands land on her shoulders and give them a reassuring squeeze. She took one more breath before jumping into the story.

By the time she finished, Tara and her mother were in tears. Hale was standing and shaking from anger. Jax had wrapped her in his arms and held her close against his body. She could feel his body shacking with anger, even though he was trying to keep it at bay. And her father, he looked as if he could kill.

"Let him show up here, he hurt my daughter. He will need his own bed in this hospital," her dad said through gritted teeth.

"No daddy," she sobbed as she crossed to his bed and took his hand in hers. "He is not stable. I don't know what I would do if he hurt you," she squeaked through her tears.

"You are my whole world baby girl," he responded to her as he pulled her into a hug. "I am so sorry that I was not able to protect you from this evil man."

"It isn't your fault daddy. I love you!" she said as she cried on his chest. She felt her mom move over to them and hug her from behind. They sat there for a few minutes just crying in each other's arms before her dad spoke up.

"Does Scarlett have police with her as well?" he asked looking at Hale.

"No, I do not. I have the protection order," she answered before Hale could. "And Deputy Hale is working on extending the distance and requesting that the order cover both of you and the Teller-Morrow. Until then, you will have cops near you at all times."

"If he is after you, why don't you have protection?" her mom argued.

"I didn't say I didn't have protection," Scar said glancing over at Jax.

"Mrs. Virginia, I don't plan on letting your daughter out of my sight," Jax said from his spot by the door.

"You can't be with her 24/7 Jax. She has to go back to school at some point," her dad said glaring at him.

"I am going with her," Jax stated quickly.

"What about Abel?" her mom interjected. "I can't let you abandon your son to take care of my daughter," she responded.

"I can look after Abel," Tara sniffed from her seat.

"Thank you, Tara. That won't be completely necessary," Scar responded giving her a small smile.

"You are finishing school," her father said firmly.

"I am going to finish school. I promise," she said giving his hand a squeeze.

"Then what did you mean?" her mom asked.

"We had a plan set just incase Conner was ever released, or God forbid, escaped. I will go back to campus this weekend, but not for classes. My final papers and final thesis will all be done remotely and turned in online. Just as any online class would be. I will talk to my professors, take my final exams, and clean out my dorm. As of next Friday, I will be moving back to Charming," she said, as she looked over at Jax, who perked up at the last part of her statement. "For good."

"I am going to go see the Judge," Hale said before crossing towards the door.

"Hale," Scarlett called after him, causing him to turn around. "Thank you, truly."

"Anytime Scarlett. If you need anything or something does not feel right, just give me a call," he smiled before leaving and closing the door.

"Tara, Gemma will probably come to the hospital every day. But if something major comes up, can you please call and tell me?" Jax said as he walked towards her. "As soon as we can get back, we will."

"Your son is in safe hand Jackson," Tara responded before standing. "Speaking of which, I need to check on him." She crossed over and gave Scarlett a big hug. "Drinks soon?" She asked before exiting the room.

"So you are going back to college and only taking Jax?" her mom asked wearily.

"Not exactly," Scarlett responded nervously.

"What do you mean not exactly?" her dad asked.

"Clay may or may not have assigned me my own personal bodyguard," she spit out quickly.

"Good!" her father said. "Smart thinking that man!"

"You took that better than I thought," she whispered under her breath.

"As long as my princess is safe, that is all that matters," he said before pulling her into another hug. "No go. Finish your schoolwork. I am so proud of you."

She bent down and kissed his forehead, "I love you daddy."

"I love you to baby girl," he smirked.

She walked over and hugged her mom tightly. "We will make it through this," her mom whispered in her ear. Scarlett gave her and a squeeze and then walked over to Jax who was waiting with open arms.

"Oh, and Jackson," her mom said as he pulled Scarlett into an embrace.

"Ma'am?" he said glancing up at her.

"If you let my daughter get hurt, I will murder you myself," she said with a small smile.

"I don't plan on letting anyone or anything hurt her," he said as he looked down at Scar with a smile on his face.

"Good!" her mom responded. "Now run along you two. My husband needs rest."

"Yes mom," Scar responded smiling at her. "I love you both."

"We love you more. Now go!" her mom responded before shooing them out the door.

With one more nod to the officers outside the door, they headed towards the elevators with Happy following behind them.

"Why don't we check on Abel since we are here?" Scar asked placing her hand on Jax's arm.

"You beat me to it darling," Jax smirked before pulling her down a hallway.

They quickly made their way to Abel's room, but when they arrived, they were surprised but what they saw. Gemma was outside Abel's room with security, and she looked as if she could murder someone.

"Mom!" Jax called. "What is going on?" he asked as he jogged over to her.

"O thank God! Jax!" She said as he neared her.

"What is wrong Gemma?" Scar asked as she reached the group.

"Tara and I walked down the hallway to discuss something but when I came back there was some guy in Abel's room," she answered, anger still evident in her voice.

"Ma'am, we are pulling the security footage. Are you sure it was not someone you know?" one of the security officers asked.

"Yes, I am sure he was not someone I knew!" Gemma growled.

"Breath mom. Tell me what this guy looked like. Did he have on any club symbols or anything?" Jax asked placing his hand on her arm.

"No. He was a normal guy," Gemma answered.

"We are pulling the security footage now. Once we find the gentleman, we will print a picture and have you look at it," the security guard said before walking away from them.

"Who could want to hurt Abel?" Scarlett said as she walked over to the window and looked in at him. "I mean I know the club has enemies, but who attacks a child in the hospital?"

"Mom, tell me more about this guy?" Jax asked pulling her to the chairs outside Abel's door.

"He was just an average guy. No markings, no tattoos. Nothing that I could say to make him easier to identify. All I remember is he had blonde hair and blue eyes." Scarlett gasped at her comment, quickly turning to face them.

"He had what?" she asked, her voice shaking.

"He had blonde hair and blue eyes," Gemma repeated.

Scarlett's heart rate sped up and her breathing went ragged.

"Scarlett?" Gemma asked as she rose from the chair. Scarlett quickly looked from them, back to Abel and then back again.

"I cannot believe I am such an idiot," she said as she pulled out her phone and dialed a number.

"Scar, what is going on?" Jax looked over at her. She glanced back in him with wide eyes. "I will explain," she said quietly. As Jax looked at her, it dawned on him. He grabbed the folded-up paper out of his pocket.

"You kept that?" Scar asked quickly as she hung up her phone before redialing the number she was calling.

"I thought it might come in handy," he responded before turning to Gemma. "Mom, is this the guy you saw?" he asked holding up the paper.

"That is him!" Gemma said pulling the paper out of his hand. "Jax this paper says he was arrested and sentenced to 10 years in prison for multiple accounts of rape on a fellow student. He even tried to kill her."

"He isn't in prison anymore," Jax stated.

"They let him out after only a few months?" Gemma asked looking up at him.

"What are you talking about?" Jax looked at her. He never paid attention to the date of the article. He always assumed it had been a few years.

"Jax, this article is dated for 4 months ago," she deadpanned.

"Hale?" Scarlett said into her phone. "Are you with the judge? Good. Ask him to add Jax and Abel to that order. I know they aren't blood related. Yes but…I know Hale, but he was just here outside Abel's hospital room. He must have overheard us discussing Abel at some point or followed us to the hospital. Thank you, Hale," she said before hanging up.

"Scarlett, how long ago did he attack you?" Jax asked placing his hands on her arms.

"Eight months," she answered not looking up at him. "He thinks Abel is our son."

"This was you?" Gemma asked holding up the paper, tears forming in her eyes. Scarlett simply nodded and Gemma pulled her in for a tight hug.

"Don't break me Gemma," Scarlett squeaked.

"Sorry. Why didn't you tell me? Do your parents know? Does the club know?" Gemma rapid fired.

"I thought it was dead and in the past. Yes, they all know," she answered quickly.

"Wait, if he thinks that Abel is his the.." Jax said as he turned to face her. She nodded.

"Yes, I was pregnant," she mumbled.

"What happened?" he asked gently. Scarlett glanced up and tears began to slowly fall.

"Between the stress of the trial, what his parents did to try and discredit me and everything. I miscarried at 13 weeks. I never even told him I was pregnant. Someone must have let it slip to someone in his family," Scar half whispered. "I am so sorry Jax. This is all my fault."

"Oh, darling. None of this is your fault. Its Stahl's," he said gently as he pulled her into his arms. "It Is alright darling. We will figure this out."

"Jax, take her home. I will call Clay and get someone over here to guard Abel," Gemma said from behind them.

"Come on Darling," Jax whispered in her ear after nodding at Gemma.

"Jax," she said holding her spot in the hallway. He gave her a questioning look. "Visit your son. I am going to go step into the chapel for a few minutes."

"Are you sure?" Jax asked scanning her face. She simply nodded.

"I have Happy with me. Who would want to go up against him?" she asked with a small smile.

"Ok, I will meet you there shortly," he said as he placed a kiss on her cheek and walked into Abel's room. Gemma was already on the phone talking to Clay. Scarlett knew she was in for an earful once the club realized she left out that important detail.

"Come on Happy," she said before giving Gemma a smile and heading towards the chapel.

It was empty, as she expected it to be. As she sat down her phone rang and she quickly answered it.

"Scarlett," she said quickly.

"It's Hale," his voice came.

"What did the judge say?" she asked quickly.

"He denied it," Hale said through gritted teeth.

"He what?" she half yelled.

"It was Stahl. She had a Federal Judge block it. Her and Connor's attorney brought evidence suggesting that your story was a false statement and regret for what actually happened," he stated quietly.

"And the judge believed that? He was convicted by a jury!" she choked through her tears.

"I know. Scarlett, I don't know how to tell you this, but I think the judge is in his parents' pocket. There is more," he continued. "They file to have the verdict overturned and filed for a new trial."

"Of course, they did," she scoffed. "Anything else?"

"Where are you?" Hale asked.

"I'm still at St. Thomas. Jax is visiting Abel and I am in the Chapel. Happy isn't too far away. Why?" she answered quietly.

"Scarlett. Scar….the federal judge revoked the protection order completely. He said there wasn't enough history to support it in the first place. You need to get to Jax now. I don't know where Connor is. I am on my way to the precinct now. I am going to fill in Unser and get his opinion. I am keeping units on your parents and if need be I will escort you anywhere you need to go. I am true to my word. Nothing is going to happen to you in my jurisdiction. I have to go. Get back to Jax," he said quickly before hanging up.

"Is everything ok?" Happy's voice came, causing her to jump.

"No, we need to get back to Abel's room," she answered as she stood and turned around. She instantly froze where she stood.

"Hello my darling," Connor said.

"You can't be here," Happy growled stepping towards him.

"Actually, you will find I can be here. See a judge just overturned everything, my conviction and the protection order," Connor laughed.

"How much did that cost mommy and daddy?" Scarlett sneered at him.

"A pretty penny. But ask long as their little boy gets what he wants in the end and is happy, then I guess the cost is worth it," he said taking a step forward. Happy tensed and move Scarlett further behind him.

"Don't Happy," Scarlett said as she placed her hand on his shoulder. "It is exactly what Connor wants."

"She is quite right. I would like to speak to my girlfriend alone," he said calmly.

"Not a chance in hell," Happy sneered at him.

"It is alright Happy. There is one way in and out of this room. Stand right outside the door. I will call if I need you," she said calmly.

"Jax is not going to be happy. He might actually murder me if I leave you alone in here," Happy stated matter-of-factly.

"Just stand in the back by the door. I can handle this," she whispered and he nodded. Moving to the back od the chapel, eyeing Connor as he moved.

"What did you do to your hand?" Connor asked softly.

"Punched a wall. It looked like you," she sneered not moving from her spot.

"Lovebug," he said stepping towards her. "This is all a misunderstanding."

"No, you are close enough. Take another step and I will happily let Happy do his job," she said as she took a step back.

"And what job is that?" Connor asked, amusement written on his face.

"Oh, Happy is my bodyguard. He will always be with me. He is quite skilled in any physical activity," she smirked causing him to glare at her.

"Once a biker whore, always a biker whore," he sneered.

"Ah, there is the actual Connor. Not the fake sweet one who fools everyone," she smirked.

"You wanted to show your bodyguard who I really am? Congratulations," he smirked. "What is he going to do about it?"

"Oh, Happy won't do anything as long as you keep your distance and be respectful. Right Happy?" she asked glancing over at him.

"Correct Princess," Happy smirked over at her.

"What is with everyone calling you princess?" Connor asked glancing from Happy to Scarlett.

"Oh, you don't know?" Scarlett said faking shock. "I thought you new everything about my life."

"Don't be a bitch Scarlett."

"I am the Princess of Anarchy. The princess of the Redwood Charter of the Sons of Anarchy," she said as she showed him her jacket.

"Your father is not part of the Sons," he sneered, glaring at her jacket.

"Oh, he is not. I did not become princess by blood," she responded calmly.

"Then how?" he asked as he moved to lean against a pew.

"By dating the prince," she smirked.

"O so you are the ex-princess of anarchy?" he asked raising his eyebrow at her.

"No," another voice came causing them to look towards the door. "She is THE Princess of Anarchy, and she always will be." Jax glared at Connor from his spot.

"Done visiting your son?" Scar asked, giving Jax her full attention.

"Yes. How is he in here and not in handcuffs yet or unconscious?" Jax asked as he walked over to her and glanced at Happy who motioned to Scar.

"Connor and I are having a conversation. Happy is right there should I need him. I do believe he is faster than Conner should anything arise," Scar responded as she wrapped her hand in his.

"Your son?" Conner asked glaring at the pair. "Don't you mean my son? The one you tried to hide from me?"

"We do not have a son. We do not have a child," Scarlett responded looking at him in disgust.

"I have seen the boy. He had blonde hair and blue eyes, just like me. The timeline also fits," Conner said angrily. "I know you were pregnant."

"I WAS pregnant. Past tense," she responded harshly. "Abel is Jax's son. I am not Abel's mother."

"What do you mean you WERE…do you abort my child?!" he asked stepping towards them angrily. "You BITCH!"

"Step back Connor, or we will make you!" She yelled back. "I did not abort MY child!"

"Then where is my son!"

"He is dead!" she shouted back, and he stood there shocked.

"You just said," he started after a few moments.

"I miscarried at 13 weeks. He never took one breath in this world. As much as I wished to be his mother, I am grateful that the Lord took him home and he did not have to live one moment on this earth with you as his father," she glared from her spot next to Jax.

"Why you little bitch!" Connor yelled stepping towards her.

"One more step and I will make sure you will be in a room down the hall," Jax sneered pushing Scarlett behind him. "How are you even this close? There is a protection order."

"Oh, you haven't heard yet?" Connor smirked.

"Heard what?" Jax asked cautiously.

"The whole protection order has been thrown out. And not just the order," he smirked.

"Connor's parents paid off a federal judge to overturn the whole conviction and throw out the protection order," Scar responded softly behind him, her eyes staring at the floor.

"Ah, there is the Scar I know. The submissive woman where she belongs," Connor sneered. "Come home lovebug and we will forget this whole ordeal. I won't punish you too severely."

"Fuck you Connor," she said snapping her head up and glaring at him.

"Tsk, tsk, tsk. You and that dirty mouth. I guess I will need to wash it out with soap when I get you back home," he said taking another step.

"Happy," Jax said through gritted teeth. "Get her out of here now." Happy stepped towards Scarlett and wraps his hand around her arm.

"Come one Scarlett," he whispers.

"No, I am not leaving this room without you Jax," she said sternly as she pulled her arm out of Happy's grip.

"Scar," Jax whispered looking over his shoulder at her.

"Jax, this is what he wants. The moment you physically attack him, Stahl is coming through those doors and carting you off to jail," she said calmly.

"O dear, you have figured out the plan. I knew you weren't just a dumb whore," Connor sneered.

"Call me a whore one more time and they will need to surgically remove hell from your ass," Scarlett said sharply, glaring at Connor. She saw Jax tense even more out of the corner of her eye.

"Hey," she said gently turning him to face her. "Look at me Jax. Look at me and only me." Jax raised his eyes and met hers. His were full of wrath and hurt. She softened her look as she saw him. "Take me home Jax," she whispered to him. He looked at her and she visibly saw him relax and his eyes change to a look of love.

"Let's go home," she said as she placed her hand on his face and pulled him down for a kiss. Jax realized what she was doing and smirked at her before closing the distance. His lips met her with equal urgency. They audibly heard Connor sneer in disgust as they continued to kiss. The kiss was gentle at first but as they continued to get lost in each other, it picked up passion. Jax nibbled on her bottom lip, earning a content moan and she eagerly allowed his tongue in to explore her mouth. She did not know how long they kissed for, but they finally broke a part so that they could breath.

"Keep kissing me like that love, and we will not be making it home," Jax whispered as he pressed his forehead against hers, trying to catch his breathe.

"Still here," Connor sneered, glaring at them angrily. If looks could kill, Jax would be six feet under already.

Scarlett smiled at Jax before repeating herself, "Take me home Jax."

"Let's go," he smirked grabbing her hand. They quickly walked around the outside of the room to avoid Connor.

"This is not over," Connor sneered as they neared the door.

"Oh, I know. But know this Connor, if you are in Charming, SAMCRO will be watching your every move. And I don't plan on letting you get any closer to Scarlett then you are now," Jax glared angrily at him.

"Is that a threat?" Connor asked, smirking.

"No, that is a promise," Jax responded before opening the door. "Let's go home darling," he said as he wrapped his arm around Scarlett's waist. Grinning when Connor visibly reacted to the motion.

"Hope you get hit by a bus," Scarlett said before flipping him off as Jax pulled her from the room.

"We aren't going home are we?" Scarlett asked once they were in the elevator and the door had closed.

"Oh, we are going home. Just not to your parents. You are coming to my house," Jax said pulling her even closer and nuzzling into her neck.
