Danny's POV

I droved to Putzie's house and knocked on his door. "It's open Danny!" I heard Mr. Jacobs called out, so I walked in.

"Hello Mr. J." I greeted. "You lookin' lovely Mrs. J." I said kissing her cheek.

"Thanks Daniel." She smiled.

I smiled as I walked up the stairs to Putzie's bedroom door and knocked.

"Putzie?" I asked as I knocked softly.

No respond.

"C'mon buddy, please open the door!" I yelled through the door.

I let out a sigh, once again no replies.

"Ok I'm gonna pick on a lock!" I told him.

I pulled out my picklock out and tried to unlock the door, and it finally unlocked. I open the door as I put my picklock back in my pocket. Once I enter his room, my heart broke when I saw him sitting on the floor with tears stained on his face.

"Hey buddy." I quietly say.

He just looks down and I let out a sigh as I went to sit down next to him.

"Listen buddy, I know you're upset." I said. "But he's not gonna be gone forever." All he did was just sigh.

"Yeah, but…it's not the same without him…I'm always feeling like I don't have any big brothers." He said.

"You have 5 big brothers and 4 of them are staying right here with you to protect you, tease you, care about you and love you." I said putting my arm around him. "Epically me, the one who calls you brother." I smiled at him. "Come on; let's see that Putzie's smile. Come on, where is it?"

But he didn't smile, which broke my heart even more.

"Come here." I said hugging him tightly. "It's gonna be ok brother." I added.

"But what if something bad happens to him?" He asked me.

"Nothing won't happen to him Putzie, I promise." I said to him. "And I promise you that I'll always protect you and keep you safe." I added. "No matter what happened, I'll always protect ya."

"Thanks Danny." He said quietly.

"No problem kiddo." I replied.

"Thanks for being there for me Danny." He said.

"That's what brothers are for." I told him.

He smiled, I practically raised him while his folks and Phil was busy with something and of course we have special nicknames for each other which it "Brother". Hey, the kid is smaller than us and we are super protective of him.

"Have you asked Jan out yet?" I asked him.

I felt him shook his head.

"Not yet, I forgot." He admits.

I chuckled at him. That's my Putz!

"I love you kid." I said kissing his head.

I don't wanna hear it, the kid is like an innocent child so stuff it!

"Yeah." He said.

"She's cute." I told him.

"She sure is." He replied.

I heard him let out a sigh.

"Danny, can you not leave me alone tonight?" He asked me.

I held him tighter in my arms.

"Of course I won't buddy; I'll stay up all night to protect you." I said smiling down at him.

"Thanks Danny." He said smiling at me.

"No problem Rog." I said.

Like I mention before, I am the ONLY one who can call the boys, by their first or full names.

"Love you brother." I said to him.

"You too, brother." he said.

I soothed his hair.

"Come on kid, try getting some shut eyes." I told him.

I didn't care if it was only 7 PM!

"Do I have too?" He asked.

I chuckled inside, oh the total innocence in my best friend!

"Yes." I said.

"Fine." I heard him grumbled.

I smiled to myself.

"I'll stay here for the night." I told him.

I felt him leaned back on me, I hugged him tighter. Trying to act like a big brother for him like I always been.

"Don't worry brother, I'll be here for ya." I whispers.

I knew he was finally asleep, I gently kissed the top of his head.
