A/N: Last one! Finally, all the characters are where they're going to be for the foreseeable future. Except Beau, but we're working on that.

INT. HALLWAY, PHOENIX, AZ

Lockers line the walls. STUDENTS crowd the hallway, watching as THREE BULLIES shove and beat at BEAU SWAN. Beau is a handsome seventeen-year-old boy with brown hair which is curly and often messy. Beau is incredibly tall and skinny, has light blue eyes, and is partially Spanish. Text on screen reads:

Phoenix, AZ

present

One of the bullies shoves Beau into a locker and shuts the door. Beau BANGS on the door.

INT. KITCHEN, RENÉE'S HOUSE

The room is sparsely furnished, with basic appliances and cabinets. Beau stands at the counter, making dinner, his lip cut and bleeding. His jaw is bruised in one corner. Renée walks in and walks over to Beau, but has not noticed his injuries.

RENÉE
How was your day?

BEAU
Fine.

Renée notices Beau's injuries and touches his jaw, turning his face toward her.

RENÉE
Oh, my gosh. Beau! What the heck happened to you?

BEAU
Nothing. I'm fine, Mom.

RENÉE
No, you're not. Who did this to you?

BEAU
Nobody.

Renée stares him down.

BEAU (CONT'D)
Just some kids from school, okay? It'll be fine. And besides, I'm going to be moving in with Charlie in a few months.

RENÉE
Are you really sure you want to do that?

BEAU
Yeah, I am. You and Phil need your space, and I know how much you miss him when you stay here and he goes to his away games.

RENÉE
You're right, I do miss him. But you hate Forks.

BEAU
It won't be so bad.

INT. INTERROGATION ROOM, FORKS POLICE DEPARTMENT, FORKS, WA

A table sits in the middle of the room, three chairs on one side, one on the other. A one-way mirror sits against a wall. QUILLA ATEARA V [Quil], Julie, and EMBER CALL sit in chairs in the same order as before. Quil is a quite short, Native American teenager with long black hair that's shaved on one side. Ember is a tall, teenage Native American girl with black hair that reaches her shoulders. She is more mild-tempered and quieter. Charlie sits across a table from them, a file folder in hand. He's much older. Text on screen reads:

Forks Police Department

Forks, WA

QUIL
Listen. Chief Swan. You know us.

JULIE
Oh, my God, shut up.

EMBER
You're going to incriminate us, Quil.

QUIL
Like you even know what "incriminate" means.

EMBER
Actually, I do.

CHARLIE
(to Ember and Julie)
Okay, listen, I don't even know why you two are here. I need Quilla to pay a twenty-dollar fine!

QUIL
Problem...I'm broke.

EMBER
We're broke, too.

QUIL
What? Why?

JULIE
Because we keep lending you money!

Charlie looks down at the file folder.

CHARLIE
So, Ember, Julie, you girls are off the hook; you're straight as pins.

QUIL
That makes sense, saying as I'm the only one who isn't straight.

JULIE
Yes, Quil, we all know that you're a lesbian.

Charlie allows his head to fall into his hands.

CHARLIE
Please leave.

Ember, Julie, and Quil stand up.

CHARLIE (CONT'D)
(to Quil)
Quilla, wait a second.

Quil sits back down. Ember and Julie wait by the door.

CHARLIE (CONT'D)
I'm going to let you go. On account of that when you get twenty dollars, you go to the front desk and say you need to pay your fine. Can you do that?

QUIL
Yes, sir.

CHARLIE
Okay, good. You can go now.

Quil stands. She and Ember leaves the room. Julie turns to go, then turns around again.

JULIE
Say hi to Beaufort for me.

Ember grabs Julie's collar and pulls her out of the room.

EXT. FORKS HIGH SCHOOL - DAY

Charlie pulls a police cruiser into a parking spot. He gets out and enters a building labeled "Front Office."

INT. FRONT OFFICE

A front desk sits with a computer on it. Cheap folding chairs sit in a line on one end, and a small table with old magazines stands next to them. A door labeled as the nurse's office sits at the back. Earnest stands in front of the desk, signing a piece of paper. Charlie enters.

CHARLIE
Hey, Earnest Cullen!

Earnest looks behind himself at Charlie. Charlie stands next to him.

EARNEST
Hey, Chief! What brings you here?

CHARLIE
My son is moving in with me. I have to register him for high school.

EARNEST
Wow. How old is Beaufort again?

CHARLIE
Seventeen.

Earnest WHISTLES slightly.

CHARLIE (CONT'D)
I know. You have a few that age, right?

EARNEST
Two of them. Edythe and Archie.

CHARLIE
Right, right. So what are you doing here? I mean, your kids are well-behaved, they can't be in trouble.

EARNEST
I think it's more Carine and I that are in trouble. Edythe ditched the other day.

CHARLIE
Gotta love those rebellious teens.

EARNEST
I know. None of the others were like this, but Edythe had to be the rebel.

Charlie laughs.

CHARLIE
(joking)
Maybe Beaufort would like her.

Earnest laughs.

EARNEST
(serious)
Maybe...

A/N: And there you go! This was a project I had ruminating in my mind for a long time, and to get it out was a true relief.

I've always felt that Renee's form of cursing would be just using the words "gosh" and "heck," and say that she's totally "hip with the kids" and then Beau/Bella would just sigh.

Also, I decided to make Quil shave her hair on one side. She just kinda gave me that vibe. Actually, the original reason that Native Americans would do that was so their hair wouldn't get caught in the string of their bow. Makes sense, right?

Anyways, have my Author Notifications on to see when I begin to post the first season!
