Chapter 10
Pretty boy, a Wizard, and a Vampire
Things seemed to be pretty normal for the students of Yokai Academy, but when they saw Deshiko Deshi walking past, they all started mocking her for being the servant of Kuyo who was in league with the Order of Shadows. Deshiko walked slowly and sadly as many of the students began throwing random objects at her, knowing that she deserved to be punished for Kuyo's actions, even if she was still an officer of the Public safety committee that was now being run by a new student who acknowledged Yozora's words of wanting to keep the peace.
"That's enough, everyone," said a voice from behind her.
Deshiko jumped in surprise and turned around. There was a student with dark blue wavy hair, wearing the same boy's uniform that Tsukune wore.
"I won't have you treating this girl like garbage anymore," said the boy.
"Oh thank you," Deshiko said shyly.
"It's no problem, I was wondering if you could tell me where the faculty lounge could be," replied the boy.
Deshiko soon rushed towards him and began hugging him. She even said that she'd stay at his side until judgement day, and trumpets sound, but what she didn't know was that this guy had a devious look on his face, which made Yozora suspicious about him as he walked past.
"I got a bad feeling about this guy," he muttered bitterly.
In Miss Nekonome's class, Yozora listened to his teacher who was now welcoming the new student who went by the name of Kotaro Ijuuin. Instantly most of the girls in the classroom soon fell for him, but Yozora still had a suspicious look on his face that made Tsukune and the other girls concerned about him. Kurumu, Yukari, Mizore, and Moka decided that both Yozora and Tsukune were the only guys they could trust around the school.
"Save the popularity contest for later," he said coldly to them.
"Geez, Yozora, what's with you today? somebody put ice on your bed while you were asleep?" asked Kurumu.
"No, but if you were planning to go for that Kotaro guy, it'd be one less love-rival for any of you. Except for the snow angel," he said, as he clenched his fist.
"Whoa, easy now Yozora. I know you're a good guy and all, but you're kind of scaring me," shuddered Yukari.
"Yeah, you need to relax a bit more like Tsukune," agreed Moka.
"Yeah, come on Yozora, be nice to the guy," piped in Tsukune.
"Uh, you may want to watch your foot," warned Mizore.
But it was too late, Kotaro slammed his foot down hard on Tsukune's, making him scream in unrelenting agony.
"Oh, my apologies. It's just that my feet are super huge, I can't tell where I'm stepping. Maybe they might have a mind of their own," Kotaro said cockily.
When the school bell rang, Keito's former servants approached Kotaro and asked if they could show him the way to music class.
"Well thank you ladies, I'd appreciate that," said Kotaro, who smirked at them.
They all squealed with joy at his statement, until they all crowded around him.
"We're with you until the end," they said together.
"Just what I want to hear," he replied.
But he could sense that Yozora was well aware of his power, and had to take some serious precautions. In the cafeteria, everyone sat down and began discussing what to do for their next article for the Yokai gazette.
"So, any idea what to add into the Newspaper?" asked Yozora.
"I was thinking about adding some ideas about new meals," said Kurumu.
"I was thinking about how tarot readings can help decide what the future might have in store for everyone else," piped in Yukari.
"Actually I might have one, it's about how snow angels always watch over those they love with all their heart," finished Mizore.
"Maybe it's better if we decide about it with Gin during one of our little club gatherings. We need him to have a say on the matter," said Moka.
"Yeah, good idea," remarked Tsukune.
Once they had finished lunch they returned their trays and went off, but Yukari suddenly slipped on a banana peel and almost fell, when Kotaro caught the young sorceress in his arms.
"Are you unharmed, my lady?" he asked in a smooth tone.
"W-what?" Yukari asked in confusion.
"I asked if you are unharmed, but it looks like I arrived just in time," Kotaro said as calmly as he could muster.
"Well thanks for breaking my fall, but I'm not really a princess who needs rescuing," replied Yukari as she was carefully set down on the ground.
"Seeing you get hurt, actually wounds my heart so deeply," Kotaru said as he placed the witchling's hand on his chest.
Yukari blushed, but assured Kotaro that it was all right to be concerned about another person's safety.
"Just looking at you, I think you'd make a cute bunny rabbit," Kotaro said in his smooth tone as his tooth glinted brightly.
"Then if you want a cute bunny rabbit, I'll be your little bunny rabbit for all time," replied Yukari, but she sensed that Yozora was watching him suspiciously from the corner of his eye.
Out on the P.E. field, everyone was now participating in some practice matches for another tournament that would be coming up in the future. Yozora and most of the boys were watching Tsukune running towards the bar, when he jumped and slammed his head against it. Yozora however quickly rushed to his side with Mizore carrying several well prepared ice packs at the ready, in case of serious injuries as Tsukune crashed to the ground.
"Geez, that must've hurt," she said sympathetically.
"Hey Mizore, can you prepare more ice packs for Tsukune?" asked the wizard.
"I'm on it," replied the snow angel, and rushed off into the distance, until she bumped into Kotaro.
"Ah, I see you are alone. Seeing your smile actually fills me with joy, especially when someone says that you are a beautiful snow angel," the strange guy said as he approached.
"What's that supposed to mean?" demanded Mizore.
"Come now, I know that all smiles are beautiful, but I can tell from the bashfulness that you show, it's still there, just waiting to reveal itself. So please, show me how a snow angel smiles," Kotaro said, as his tooth glinted brightly at her.
Poor Mizore was helpless, as she smiled her most beautiful smile she always gave Yozora and Tsukune. By the time P.E. Class had ended, Moka, Kurumu, and Yozora were now carrying a basket of volleyballs to the storage locker.
"Careful now, we don't want to cause an accident," warned Moka.
"I know what you mean, but sadly my chest keeps getting in the way," complained Kurumu.
They didn't know which way they were going, when the two girls tripped and fell hard on the ground. Volleyballs rolled and bounced everywhere.
"Don't worry let's clean up the mess. And I'll help Moka carry the basket," suggest Yozora.
"Good idea, Yozora," the two girls said to him.
When Kurumu went to pick up one of the volleyballs, Kotaro suddenly approached her with that innocent smile on his face.
"You know that I'd never walk away from you," he said to her.
The succubus looked up at him in confusion, but shook her head slowly, as she tossed the ball to Yozora, who caught it and placed it into the basket.
"Aw, how sweet of you. Letting someone help you out even though you can have a tendency to be all flirty with guys around my age. Beneath that tough girl exterior, I see a sweet, sensitive, but beautiful young woman right in front of me that I've just met during my initiation into this school," Kotaro said to her.
"What are you talking about?" demanded Kurumu.
"I know that tough girl persona is all for show, but you are far more fragile and delicate like an angel, even though you are a demon he feasts on the souls of guys who fall in love with you, until they are nothing but empty husks of their former selves. But you don't have to be that way, I like you just the way you are, and you can show me how you truly feel," Kotaro said with that brave smile on his face.
"I understand you, Kotaro. And I shall be myself in front of you, for all of time," Kurumu said as she lunged at him, and hugged him tightly.
"What the hell is Kurumu doing?" Yozora asked Moka suspiciously.
"I don't know, but I don't like it," replied Moka.
She quickly raced up to her and told her to step away from Kotaro.
"Ah, Moka Akashiya. So sweet yet naive, but you don't need to be so cold and heartless, unlike your own sister Kokoa. It makes me sad, but listen, All that I want to do is find friends who understand and respect me for who I am," Kotaro said, feigning innocence.
"What a load of crap," Yozora said as he moved the basket to the storage room.
"Forget about Yozora and Tsukune, they're nothing like me. All they do is see you as a friend, while you view one of them as a five course meal you'd probably eat for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. I'm not sure why you hate me so much. But if you come with me, I can show you the true part of paradise that awaits you," he said to Moka.
Moka was aghast at what she heard, when she felt something strange coming from his eyes. It was the same allure spell that Kurumu used to ensnare Tsukune in her trap, so that she could make him her own for all time.
"I see, you're not willing to give yourself over to me without a fight. Well this is one fight that you can't win," said Kotaro as he amped up his allure spell to an even higher level.
"Then please take me with you, to the farthest reaches of paradise," Moka said in a trance.
"Count me in too," added Kurumu.
Both girls soon crowded around Kotaro, unable to control their actions, as they wrapped their arms around him, but a part of them was crying out for Tsukune to help them break free of the spell the strange fellow cast upon them.
"This is so unlike Kou-buddy to be away from me," Kokoa said as she continued to search around for her pet bat.
"Yeah, obviously. Normally I see the two of you together," agreed Yozora.
"Oh, it's you. Explain shitstain," Kokoa said furiously.
"This new Kotaro is giving off a suspicious aura, and it's really starting to get under my skin," Yozora said.
"Actually, now that you mention it, you're right about that guy," she said with a smirk, as Kotaro saw them and grinned wickedly.
"He sickens us to the core," they said together, and they walked off into the distance, and in two separate directions.
To Tsukune's shock and horror, all of his and Yozora's friends were now flocking over to Kotaro instead of him, and asked him if they could try their homemade cookies.
"Wow, every one of the girls seems to be pretty nice to the new guy," Tsukune said, nervously, as he walked past them.
Soon, all of the girls were following behind Kotaro like soldiers in the military, while he walked at the front of them. Other students thought that the public safety committee had gone back to their old ways when Kuyo was in charge, before he was defeated by Tsukune and his friends. Instantly, Tsukune saw his friends, but Yozora pulled him back and placed his hand over his best friend's mouth, so as to not let him make a sound.
"Keep quiet, Tsukune. If you call for your friends, that Kotaro guy will most like set one of his mind-slaves upon you," he whispered.
Deshiko glanced behind her, along with the other students, and saw the two boys quickly run off into the distance.
"What is it Deshiko?" asked one of the girls.
"I don't know, I thought I saw someone about to approach our master, but I guess they're keeping their distance from us," replied Deshiko.
"Now that you mention it, That's something we can accept," said another of Kotaro's mind slaves.
Tsukune tried to break free from Yozora's grip, but found out that he was right about what was going on.
Moka glanced back behind her, but Kotaro used his allure spell on her and everyone else so that they only remained loyal to him.
"Come on, let's get out of here before they catch us trying to attack Kotaro," Yozora said, and soon teleported out of the room with Tsukune held in his grip.
"Hold on, was that Tsukune and Yozora?" asked Kurumu, who had slowly started to break free from the spell.
"Oh you foolish girls, you must understand that resistance is futile!" Kotaro said firmly as he set his allure spell to full power.
Soon all the girls agreed that any sign of resistance would result in a severe punishment for them. they followed Kotaro down the hallway without a second thought.
"Good girls," he said with a sinister smile.
Once they arrived in the club room, Yozora explained everything he could to Gin.
"You got that right, Yozora. I too sensed something odd about that Kotaro guy. It's time for Gin to take the stage and put him down. I'm gonna take him down and make sure that he grants all the girls the free will to be independent," Gin said with a firm tone.
"Thanks Gin, you're the best," Tsukune said happily.
Gin soon hurried out the door and tried to talk to Kotaro, but the werewolf fell under his spell as well. This made Yozora furious as hell, as he turned and walked off in huff.
"You son of a bitch," he muttered.
Moka, Kurumu, Yukari, and Mizore glanced at the wizard who was walking away from them.
"Looks like I need to fight fire with fire," he said to himself, but he stopped and took cover inside a locker, so that he could overhear what Kotaro would say to Miss Nekonome, who had approached him.
"My sincerest apologies ma'am. Even though I'm a student, and you're a teacher, there may be times when you acknowledge your students as your friends. But if it's alright with you, I was wondering if you and I could be friends, even if our relationship is just professional," Kotaro said, and he unleashed his Allure spell on him, just as Tsukune arrived on the scene.
But Yozora quickly grabbed him, and ran off into the distance making his best friend even more worried about him.
"Should have figured as much, Tsukune," Yozora said.
"What are you saying?" asked Tsukune.
"Listen, Kotaro's allure spell functions the same way that Kurumu's does when you first met her last year. Therefore, I've deduced that he's the male equivalent of a demon who feasts on love through any and all means of physical contact, called Incubus," Yozora explained.
Tsukune was aghast at what he heard, but Yozora quickly knocked him out when Kokoa arrived, looking for Kou.
"Okay, why the hell are you knocking out Tsukune?" she asked.
"Listen, I know you hate me, just as much as we all dislike you, but that's besides the point. All you need to know is that this Kotaro guy is not what you expect him to be," Yozora said.
"Okay, but every fiber of my being wants to throw up every time I say this, but I need your he- I need your he-" she tried to say.
"You need my help, don't you?" he asked.
"That, yes," replied Kokoa.
"Okay, then, but first I need to deliver Tsukune to that guy as an offering to him," Yozora said as he dragged the unconscious Tsukune away to Kotaro.
Kotaro soon whirled around and glanced at Yozora. Just as his army of girls was about to stop him, he raised his hand over him to stop them. Yozora then placed Tsukune in front of him.
"Here, if it's of any consolation, you can have the guy as your prize," Yozora said as he stood back from him and vanished.
"Okay, that was a bit unexpected, but hey, that's more than enough for him to respect my personal space," he said with a cocky grin.
Kokoa soon saw Yozora appear before her with his instant transmission ability.
"Now if we're gonna be a team, we'll need a name," he said.
"No, we don't," Kokoa said quickly.
"Hmm, maybe 'Team Two Star,' can work," Yozora said.
Kokoa glanced at him with a confused look.
"Since we're a team, there's two of us, and if you've watched any of the Dragon Ball Franchise, the dragon balls have stars on them. Team Two Star," explained Yozora.
"That just makes me want to kill you more, and you're still the second most annoying magic user I've had the displeasure of working with," Kokoa said.
"Team Two Star, move out!" Yozora said and raced off.
"I swear to God!" shouted Kokoa as she followed him.
As they searched for Kotaro, they saw posters of him holding a concert in the auditorium, which made Yozora pinch the bridge of his nose and shake his head in disgust.
"Look, I know you said that you all wrong impressions about me would be considered nul and void, but have you watched Power Rangers, Ninja Turtles, Sailor Moon, Beetleborgs, VR Troopers, Samurai Syber-Squad, or maybe Tattooed Teenage Alien Fighters From Beverly Hills?" asked Kokoa.
"No to those last ones, yes to that show," replied Yozora.
"Goddammit!" she snapped, as they arrived in Miss Nekonome's classroom.
"I have a feeling that you don't trust me enough. You still haven't pledged your allegiance to Team Two Star!" Yozora said firmly.
"That's not funny! It's never been funny! You're not funny!" shouted Kokoa.
"Well let's keep looking for your pet bat, and make him see that his place is with you forevermore," Yozora said calmly.
Inside the auditorium, All the girls were now singing with Kotaro singing about his life and how all the girls loved him immensely enough to be by his side. Lights flickered on and off at his every command as he used his allure spell to make everyone sing about him, when Tsukune slowly stirred and saw that he was all caged up, as he saw that Moka, Kurumu, Yukari, Miss Nekonome, and Mizore were all wearing strange outfits and were now helplessly dancing madly to his song. Gin was also there, sitting in the audience with two doggy bowls containing dog food, and water for him to have, as humiliation for him. Pyrotechnics erupted around him and fog poured from the fog machines as he sang. Kotaro walked casually around as he sang about how he loved everyone, and how everyone loved him back with all their hearts, while everyone cheered for him wildly. When he finished his song, Yozora suddenly emerged and decided to act as casually as he could.
"Wow, I'm impressed, Kotaro. I didn't know you were having a concert," he said with a smirk.
"Oh, well thank you Yozora," Kotaro said as he bowed to him just as Ruby dropped down and landed between them.
"Tell me master Kotaro, what do you want me to do with Yozora?" she asked.
"Now, Ruby, let's not be too hasty. He gave Tsukune to me as a special offering so that he could earn my trust. However,I think that he should sing something as well," Kotaro said to him.
When Ruby removed her outfit she had a sweet bikini underneath that looked like she was ready for a swim.
"Guess he got you too, didn't he?" he asked with his telepathic abilities.
"Yeah, so please forgive me Yozora," she replied back in his head.
"Hey Yozora, what do you want to sing?" asked Kotaro.
"Let's go with one of my favorite songs by Crush 40, called Into The Wind," he said.
"You heard him ladies, so sing along with him if you want to," Kotaro said.
Little did he know that he was actually playing him into a false sense of security, as he pulled out his guitar and sweet shades.
"Then let's rock everyone!" he said to the audience.
Tsukune stirred slowly, and stood up. He was shocked to see that he was caged up, but then he saw Yozora standing beside Kotaro with a shocked expression on his face.
"Oh no, Yozora has been enslaved too!" he cried out.
"No, I'm only fooling him into believing that I'm his puppet, so that Kokoa and I can take him down," Yozora said in Tsukune's mind, so that Kotaro would not hear what he was thinking.
Soon Yozora began playing his guitar, while he had his shades on and stepped up to a microphone stand that he could sing into, while Kotaro decided to have Ruby perform a sexy dance in her bikini. Then Kotaro began to sing Yozora's song choice, as he beckoned everyone to sing along with them.
"If you wanna make it, you've gotta give 'em all
Lay it all on the line
You wonder why good things never come easy
Don't stop for anything
Don't give up, keep the fire, keep the faith
You life is in your hands
Don't you think that it's time you take a chance
'Cause you're gonna have to face it
Start you up, down the road you go
Hang on to your dreams, yeah
Cruisin' down to the paradise
Turn the car into the wind, yeah"
Kokoa heard the rock music from inside, and decided to investigate it.
"You've got to fight to keep sight of your dreams
Keep your hands on the wheel
Don't give in, you have the strength to get over
You better stand up
There's a light still shining on you
Fair wind is blowin' to your way
Start you up, down the road you go
Hang on to your dreams, yeah
Cruisin' down to the paradise
Turn the car into the wind, yeah
Into the wind"
When Yozora started performing his solo, everyone saw that it truly turned into a rock concert, and started to dance alongside with the wizard who had not yet been affected by Kotaro's magic.
"You're much too serious
Let's steal away, blow your mind
That's an easy thing to say
You must take a step
Start you up, down the road you go
Hang on to your dreams, yeah
Cruisin' down to the paradise
Turn the car into the wind, yeah
Cruisin' down to the paradise
Turn the car into the wind, yeah"
When the song ended, Kokoa soon arrived in the auditorium, and slowly clambered on to the stage as everyone went back to their places and bowed.
"Wow, really? This was your plan?" she asked.
"Yep, And I know that you think it seems pretty retarded of me to do something that crazy to gain this guy's trust," Yozora said to her.
"Wait a minute, Miss Kokoa," Kotaro said.
"I freaking knew it. It's your pet bat Kou," Yozora whispered to her.
When Kokoa heard that, she was surprised and infuriated at the same time.
"Hold on, I don't know who you are, whee," Kotaro said quickly.
But then a wicked smile appeared on her face, as she glanced at Yozora.
"Well how about that. It really is you, Kou-buddy. Mind telling me what you are doing in that form?" she demanded.
"Listen, I just wanted a break from your abuse is all," Kotaro/Kou said quickly.
"Yeah, a break from her abuse of being transformed into weapons. But what you don't know is that I have an ace up my sleeve," Yozora said as he pulled out his wand and pointed it high into the air.
"Stop him!" shouted Kotaro.
But it was too late.
"DISPEL!" Yozora called to the heavens.
Instantly a white light filled the room, and soon everyone was set free from Kotaro's spell. Then Yozora cut open the cage with both his crystal sword and his fire sword thus breaking Tsukune free.
"It's time for the other Moka to join the fray," he said to his best friend.
Tsukune nodded and ran towards the now freed Moka, and ripped the rosary off her necklace with all his strength.
"Okay everyone, follow Moka's lead and hit Kou's pet bat with everything you got!" he called out to the staff and the students.
"No! You can't do this!" cried Kotaro.
"Actually I can, and I will. So here's another song I've got whilst Moka and Kokoa are letting the other girls help you beat your sorry behind!" he said.
"Mind telling me what it is?" asked Moka.
"I Am All Of Me, by Crush 40!" replied Yozora.
"Holy crap, I love that song!" Kokoa said excitedly.
"Uh-oh…" Kotaro said in small voice.
"Ravage him!" shouted Moka.
Soon some heavy metal music began playing as Yozora stepped up to the microphone. Soon everyone charged at him at once, while Miss Nekonome ran off into the distance, as Kotaro was now beaten to a pulp with Tsukune looking in shock and awe.
"I see no, hear no evil

And one by one they fall
Black hearted evil
Brave hearted hero

Once the song ended, Kotaro immediately reverted back to Kou. Kokoa picked him and smirked at her own sister.
"You know, after teaming up with Yozora, putting Kou in his place, and hearing my favorite song. That actually puts me in a satisfactory mood," Kokoa said.
"You did well Kokoa. And for that, you've made me very proud of you," replied Moka.
The two siblings hugged each other as Tsukune tossed the rosary back to Yozora, who kept it safely hidden from Kokoa.
"Well, I guess I can hold off on taking the rosary and making it become my personal trophy, so, SAYONARA BITCHES!" she said and raced off into the distance, with the beaten and battered Kou in her hand.
"Oh well, all's well that ends well," said Tsukune.
"Uhh, fair enough," Moka replied as she caught the rosary in her hand.
She then turned to Yozora.
"Even though you were suspicious about Kou, teaming up with my sister was no easy feat, but just know that you have my thanks for breaking everyone free from his control with dispel," Moka said to the wizard, and placed the rosary onto her necklace.
After reverting back into her pink-haired incarnation, Yozora carefully explained everything that happened to everyone around him about the day's events. When he finished, everyone nodded and decided that it was best to block out that memory, as Moka slowly awoke from unconsciousness.
"Listen, don't worry about your sister. All that matters is that I managed to keep her safe from that spell Kurumu once used on Tsukune," Yozora said.
"Ugh, please don't remind me again," she groaned.
Soon everyone bowed to Tsukune and apologized for the way they acted in front of him, which of course made Tsukune chuckle nervously.
"Oh by the way, guys. Nice outfits," Yozora said to his friends.
"You really like them?" they all asked.
"Yeah, especially since Moka here, looks a lot like Chun-Li," the wizard said.
Moka couldn't help but giggle, as everyone laughed and went back to the club room.
Outside of the auditorium, Kokoa walked off with the battered Kou in her hands.
"You know what Kou, one of these days I might have to cut you into tiny pieces," Kokoa said as she walked off into the distance.
"Yes Miss Kokoa, I promise not to betray you again," squeaked the bat, as he was still held in her hand.
"But at the very least, I still would like a rematch with Yozora the next time I see him. Sure he may be a wizard, but he will undoubtedly be quite a challenging opponent," she added with a confident smirk on her face.
