Draco and Hermione walked arm in arm through the crowds. Fans called out to him as they passed, but Draco's sole focus was on Hermione. She smiled up at him every time he squeezed her arm or ran his thumb over her knuckles.
"Did you enjoy the game?" he asked, lifting her hand to kiss it.
"I did. I don't really understand the game. I never did. Ginny did her best to explain what was going on."
"Good. Know what my favorite part was?" he grinned impishly at her. He laughed and spun her into his arms. "Kissing you," he murmured, leaning down to do just that. The flash of a camera popping in their faces broke them apart. "Fuck." he hissed, resting his forehead on hers.
"Mr. Malfoy! Mr. Malfoy!" the reporter called out. "Does this mean your reign as Britain's most eligible bachelor has come to an end?"
"Can't a man enjoy the company of his lady in peace?" Draco muttered, pulling Hermione back into his side.
"Get lost," Harry said, appearing out of nowhere. "You know that we don't want reporters here. Don't let me see you here again or I'm going to allow my wife to deal with you." Saying nothing, the reporter apparated out on the spot.
"That's going to end up on the fucking front page of the Prophet," Draco grumbled.
"Lucky for you, it's not news to anyone who cares." Harry teased, clapping him on the back. "Let's get out of here."
"I'm sorry," Draco said, turning back to Hermione. "They'll be everywhere now."
"Draco," she smiled. "You act like this is new to me. I'm Harry Potter's best friend and a war heroine, remember?" she said in mock seriousness. "I've been dealing with it just as long as you."
"Insufferable witch." he teased, leaning down to kiss her again.
"Ferret" she shot back with a grin.
"Still here." Harry interrupted once again.
"Come on. Let's go see if Blaise and Theo have abandoned the locker room. I could use a shower." Draco laughed. The trio of friends rejoined the rest of the group a short time later.
"There you are!" Ginny exclaimed. "What happened?"
"I got cut off when a large group of harpies flooded out of the stands," Hermione responded, leaning into Draco.
"I found her quizzing one of those "super fans"" Draco grinned, making finger quotes. "Are Blaise and Theo done yet? I need a shower."
"Nope," Ron muttered. "I'm about to give up and go home. George and Angelina already did."
"There was a reporter too," Harry spoke up. "The front page tomorrow is likely to be interesting."
"If you'd let me hex the ones years ago, they wouldn't still be showing up," Ginny said flippantly.
"Next time I will." Harry shrugged. "Let's head to the Burrow to get James. I don't want to wait for those two," he said with a shudder. "No respect for other people's space."
"You do realize that I've caught you and Gin in similar positions, yes?" Draco mused. "I distinctly remember a raid five years ago."
"Shut it Malfoy." Ginny hissed.
"Not likely Weaslette." he grinned. "That was my bed. You could have at least locked the door. I never wanted to see my partner's arse like that." he continued to pick at the pregnant red-head.
"Draco Lucius Malfoy." she seethed, reaching for her wand. Draco ducked behind Hermione, laughing while Harry scooped his pregnant wife up and with a wave, carted her off to the floo network. Draco collapsed on the ground as he laughed heartily.
"Do you have a death wish?" Hermione asked incredulously. "She was about to hex you."
"It wouldn't be the first time." he grinned as he looked up at her from the ground. "Irritating Ginny is my third favorite pastime. My first is," he said, tugging her down beside him, "kissing you." he murmured rolling to loom over her. "I really, really enjoy kissing you." his lips ghosted over her chest and neck before kissing his way up the column of her throat to her ear.
"And the second?" she asked breathlessly.
"Irritating you." he nipped her neck and bound up off the ground. He pulled her up after him, only to earn a swat to the shoulder.
"Git." she hissed. He laughed again and swept her into his arms once again.
"A loveable git though, no?" he murmured, kissing her nose.
"Hmmm." she smiled demurely as she tapped her finger on her cheek. "Yes, I do believe that you might be."
