"Ran, please wait for me. Just a little more, please. I will come back to you for sure and I will ask for your forgiveness properly." Conan muttered to himself while running back to Agasa's house. When he reached the house, he quickly opened the door and looked for Hakasa and Haibara.

"Hakase! Haibara! Where are you?" he shouted.

"Shinichi, why are you shouting? What's happening?" Agasa asked looking at the young boy.

"Could you just be quiet? You might wake up the neighbors." Haibara scolded, looking at him with folded arms.

"Haibara, could you make an antidote? Please…" Conan begged, kneeling in front of her and tears is forming in his eyes.

"I don't know what happened between you and the girl at the detective agency, I will try my best to make you one that will last longer but not permanent and it will take a while for me to formulate an antidote like that."

Haibara explained.

Haibara began to formulate an antidote. A week had passed. Yes, many sleepless nights had passed and finally Haibara, with the assistance of Agasa, was able to finish it while Ran and Eri had already explained to Kogoro about Ran's decision to go to America. Sadly, Kogoro wasn't able to go with them because Megure had asked for his help him solve the case that they didn't solve from 20 years ago about the mysterious syndicate. But he promised that he will stay in contact with them and try his best to followed them there.

"Kudo-kun! We've made it! This antidote will make you be yourself for at least one month." Haibara explained while yawning.

"Really? Thank you! I will take it immediately!" Conan exclaimed.

"But before that, explain." Haibara stopped him.

"Okay but don't freak out. I got Ran pregnant and she's mad at me. I wanted to be Shinichi again to ask for her forgiveness. I will try to explain myself to her and protect her and my child from the Black Organization." Conan explained.

Both Agasa and Haibara's eyes widen, mouth-opened, and just looking at him.

"What the hell Kudo-kun! You should have thought that your body is still exposed to the effect APTX-4869. What if something will happen to Ran-san? What if your sperm is self-destructive? You're so stupid!" Haibara scolded.

"She's right Shinichi, I can't imagine Ran-kun's situation." Agasa told him.

"Geez. I know. I know. She's fine as of now from what I know." Conan muttered.

"When Ran-san gave birth to your child, I will check-up on him or her. Just in case." Haibara said handed him the antidote and Conan went to the bathroom with his clothes. He swallowed the pill and quickly felt the pain in his chest, his breathing got heavier this time, his heart burning and the melting of his bones. He let out a loud scream and passed out.

After a few hours, Shinichi woke up in Agasa's room. He tried to get up but his body won't let him. "That's normal because of the heavy dosage of the antidote. It will take you a few days for your body to recover and adjust. Just rest for now, you will be able to see Ran-san again. Hakase and I will visit her, don't force your body or else it will collapse." She explained to him.

Shinichi nodded, "Can you do me a favor? Tell Ran that I'm very sorry about everything. I will come back to her for sure." he said then he passed out again.

"Have a good sleep Kudo-kun." Haibara whispered tucking him into the blanket.

Eri's apartment:

"Hakase. Ai-chan. Hello." Eri welcomed them.

"Good day, Eri-san we're here for Ran-kun. May we come in?" Agasa requested. Eri ushered them inside and they saw Ran eating with a huge tummy.

"Hakase. Ai-chan. What are you doing here?" Ran asked.

"Conan-kun told us but he won't be able to come because he's sick. He told us to visit you because he's worried about you." Agasa explained, giving her the flowers and fruits.

"He's sick again, huh?" Ran whispered but they heard her. They pretended that they didn't hear her instead they happily chatting and eating again. "Please take care of him because I'm not beside him. Thank you."

It's time for them to leave but before that Haibara went to Ran. "He said that he's very sorry and he will come back to you for sure." she muttered and left.

"We're leaving in three days are you still sure?" Eri asked.

"Yes. It's for the best I guess." She muttered.

At the Tokyo Metropolitan Police:

"Mouri-kun, these are the information we got from Sato and Takagi. Photos of smuggling, please look at these. Do you recognize those guys from before?" Megure said, placing the papers and pictures on the desk. "Mouri-kun?"

Megure noticed that Kogoro is gazing, he lost some weight, dark bags under his eyes, and more cigarette stubs in the ashtray. "Are you okay Mouri-kun? When was the last time you ate a proper meal or went home? Don't force yourself, go home and have a good rest and meal." he asked worriedly.

"I'm alright Inspector-dono, I just want to finish this case so that I can be with my family…" Kogoro muttered, taking out a stick of cigarette but Megure stopped him.

"Why don't we eat dinner? My treat." He insisted but before Kogoro declined his offer, he dragged him out of the office. The two went to a nearby restaurant.

"Mouri-kun, what's the problem? Does something happen at home?" Megure asked, pouring him some sake.

"Ran and Eri… they're leaving for America in three days. I need to finish this case so that I can be with them." Kogoro said, sipping the sake.

"I'm sorry about the news. Why the sudden leave? Something happened?" Megure asked again.

"It's a secret but the detective boy got my daughter pregnant. She kept it from me and Conan for months. I felt like she didn't trust me at all. I can't be mad at her because she's my daughter and she's sensitive. The reason why I stayed is because of this case. I can't leave you, we were partners back then in solving this case. Geez, these men are good. I also want to look for Kudo-kun." Kogoro explained, drinking the whole sake from the bottle.

After several days, Shinichi got recovered from the effects of the antidote and quickly got up from the bed. He told Agasa and Haibara that he will go Eri's apartment and sprint off. When he got to the apartment, he rang the doorbell.

He rang the bell furiously multiple times until an old lady approached him.

"Young man, the people who lived there already left." She told him.

"Oba-san, they left? What do you mean? Where are they?" Shinichi asked panickily.

"I'm sorry but I don't know. I just saw them leaving with their luggage." The old said then left.

Shinichi dropped on his knees then cried. "Ran. Why?"
