Chapter Ten

The Price Of The Blind Eye

"The legend tells of a mystical diamond called the Blind Eye. It holds the power of light and was what I supposed helped my grandfather, The First Spinjitzu Master, defeat the Overlord. For the first time." Lloyd said. "We believe that the Blind Eye could be the key to defeating the shadow warriors." The team was all there except for Nya, who none of the team could find. "But how do we know that it will defeat them?" Cole asked. "We don't. But when I used my energy, my light, it kept them away. It destroyed some of them." Lloyd replied. "So the Blind Eye is basically your power, but in a diamond/gem." Kai said. "Exactly." Zane said, then sat back down, a worried expression on his face. "What's wrong, Zane?" asked Jay. "Oh nothing. Just not being able to get power even though I am plugged in to my charger." He said. "That's weird." said Kai. "WELL DUH!" Jay yelled. "We'll have to worry about that later. We need to first figure out where this Blind Eye is located." Lloyd said. The team began to brainstorm for a few moments, but they had no idea where the Blind Eye could be. "How about the tomb of the first spinjitzu master?" Jay suggested.

"No, we got into every room there. In no way would the blind eye be there." Cole said, and then grabbed some bacon off of Jay's plate. "HEY!" Jay yelled, but the team ignored him. "So where would this dang thing be?" Kai asked. "The Temple of Light?" Cole suggested. "Too vague." Lloyd said. "So where the heck would this thing be ?!" Jay yelled. "Maybe Wu's journals could help us." Cole suggested. "Good idea, Cole. Let's find the journals." Lloyd said, and the team ran off, except for Zane, who walked back, stumbled, and fell onto the controls of the bounty. The ship began to throw itself downward, but Zane was not able to pick himself back up, because Zane was dead. He had no power. The rest of the ninja were thrown across Wu's study when the ship began to fall. They fell through the clouds and the sides of the ship scraped against the cliff sides. Pieces of the ship were knocked off of the bounty. It hit a large cavern in the wall and twisted around, destroying the front of the ship. Lloyd saw the cavern as he ran out. "LOOK! We have to jump!" Lloyd yelled, and jumped over to the cavern, just barely grabbing on to the edge. "Come On!" He said to the rest of the team. They all jumped and grabbed on to the cliff side. The bounty crashed into the second side of the cliff, and destroyed the hull of the ship. The ninja watched in horror as their ship was destroyed.

Lloyd turned around and looked at his friends. No. His family. Then he realized something no one else had. "Guys, where's Zane?" Lloyd asked. Then they all realized that they didn't see Zane in Wu's study. They realized he was dead. "Zane is… is… gone." Cole said, and the ninja sat down. Except for Kai, who could see something in the tunnel. It was a door with strange markings on it. He walked towards it and lit a fire in his hands. "Guys, come and look at this…" Kai said, and shined his fire towards the door. The drawing on the door showed snakes, possibly serpentine, circled around a Black Diamond. "What is it, Kai ?" Jay asked. "I think it's a door. Cole, use your earth strength to open this door." Kai said, and Cole walked up to the door, Earth Punch at the ready. "Let's do this," He said, and punched open the door with one hit. Dust flew everywhere. Inside were bones. Only one person knew where they were. What they were in. They were in the Tomb of the Anacondrai. The place where he first found Pythor all those years ago. "We're in the Anacondrai Tomb." He said, but as he finished, he noticed something right in the center of the tomb.

It was emitting a strange, black glow. Lloyd walked up to it, and immediately knew what it was.

Lloyd had found the Blind Eye.
