Chapter 23: Fight Down Memory Lane Part 2
Danny and his friends looked at all sides as ghosts came from every direction, all looking eager to brawl.
The first one to appear was a certain vindictive ghost genie.
"There you are..." Desiree said in a not-so-friendly way.
The young ghost boy looked at her weirdly, trying to place her.
"Who is this?..." Danny asked, somewhat recalling the genie ghost but nothing nice about her came to him.
Desiree heard this and realized he doesn't recognize her.
"So, Spectra's theory was right. You haven't remembered everything..." The genie ghost said before she grinned and rubbed her hands in anticipation.
Danny's ghost sense again went off again as more ghosts surrounded him and his friends, ghosts like Johnny, Kitty, Technus and so forth.
Danny saw their appearances and wondered.
"Is this stuff I normally deal with?..."Danny asked himself as the ghost villains looked ready for a fight.
"We found you, Ghost Child..."Technus said, still with a cup of coffee in his hand.
"Play time!..."Youngblood said with a naughty grin on his face.
"Do I know them?..." Danny asked, staying alert.
"They're part of your rogue's gallery..." Star explained.
One of the ghosts whistled to Danny to get his attention. It's the same one who caused havoc at the school earlier today.
"Hey punk, remember me now?..." Johnny said, punching his palm.
"Kinda, you caused trouble at school. And didn't I kick your butt at a baseball diamond once?..."Danny said in a flat tone.
Johnny frowned while Spectra grinned at that.
"Oh, did he strike a nerve?..."The dark ghoul teased Johnny, who grunted in annoyance.
"Says the one who lost to his sister!..." Johnny pointed out, earning a growl from the misery eating spirit.
"Leave him alone, Spectra..." Kitty said, protecting her boyfriend from the wicked ghoul.
Spectra ignored the two. She glanced at the teen heroes with a smile as Danny tilted his head. Bertrand then spoke up.
"Uh… we're here to fight him, not each other..." He says.
"Notice that he barely recalls Johnny..." Desiree said.
"This only means he's not all there yet..." Spectra said.
"And that means we can still have fun..."Johnny said, cracking his knuckles.
It was payback time for all the time he interfered with their plans and putting them in his thermos.
"What do you want?..." Danny asked.
"We've come to destroy you!..." Desiree said seriously.
"Wait!..." Technus went, sipping his coffee fast before sighing and crushing the cup and tossing it aside. "Okay, I'm ready..."He said.
"I told you not to take a large… Desiree said, rolling her eyes.
"And I ignored you because I was that thirsty, building giant robots of doom is tiring work..."Technus said, not caring.
"Seriously!? You raided a coffee shop?..."Star said, not believing what she saw.
"Hey! You try finding decent coffee in the Ghost Zone!..."Technus rebutted.
The ghosts rolled their eyes at that before remembering why they were here.
To destroy Danny.
The ghostly boy frowned at them, while he noticed his arch-foe trying to get away with the remote still in his hand.
"I see you'll be reacquainting with old friends, talk later!..." Vlad shouted as he flew off.
"Oh no, you don't!..."Danny growled.
There was no way he was going to let Plasmius get away with whatever he was planning. Nothing good could come from it!
However, things only got worse as the ghosts eyes glowed red as they were ready for a fight.
Technus summoned his new mecha to appear, Spectra transformed into her shadow form, Shadow looked ominously behind Johnny, Desiree's hands glowed and Youngblood readied his peg leg. Even Kitty looked ready to jump in as she even pulled out some lipstick.
Danny had no idea why she was doing that but he figured it was a bad thing. However, his mind was on a villain who was no longer present.
"I can't stick around while Plasmius makes an escape!…" He thought as he then turned to his team and Valerie, not wanting these ghosts to get in the way.
"You guys deal with these creeps, I'll go after Plasmius..."Danny said in determination.
His team nodded and got ready to fight. While these ghosts are bad, they knew that it was more dangerous if Vlad gets away.
"Be careful, Danny..."Star said.
"I will..."He said as he flew after his archenemy.
This left the rest to deal with a few ghosts more powerful than most they've been dealing with so far. Jazz looked to the others and recognized that they had fewer numbers.
"So, anyone got a plan?..."She asked.
"Well, we can do this..." Sam said looking to Desiree. "I wish-..."
Sam was cut off by Johnny's shadow covering Desiree's ears, and preventing her from hearing the goth and thus making her plan moot. Though that didn't mean the genie was happy being touched without her permission as she growled at the shadow.
"Dude, did you really think it's be that easy?..." Johnny said with his arms out.
The young ghost fighters' stares believed it would. But they were too shocked to answer for the moment. Desiree, on the other hand, used magic to turn make a pair of earmuffs over her to block her hearing. She then used her magic to make a large hammer appear as she got ready to attack.
"I knew saving those for such an occasion was a good idea..." She said.
The teens grimaced as the hammers fell.
Desiree went straight to work attempting to flatten the kids like a game of whack-a-mole. Except she wasn't getting any points. It didn't take long for the other ghosts to rush towards them.
Meanwhile, one couldn't help but comment.
"Well, that didn't work..." Star said with a deadpan as they kept dodging.
"Your powers of observation are really impressive Star..."Sam said sarcastically.
"Focus!..."Jazz yelled at them.
Now wasn't the time for fighting with each other. Now is the time to fight back and stop Vlad.
The ghosts surrounded them, ready for a fight.
"We wanted Phantom, but you'll make good for a warm-up..." Technus said.
"The misery when he sees you all beaten will be so delicious..."Spectra said wickedly.
"And we won't even need to break a sweat..."Johnny said, his shadow at the ready.
The ghosts flew at Danny's team and Valerie, who were ready to face them.
Bertrand, in the form of a mountain goat, tried to charge at Sam but Tucker pushed her out of the way and rolled over, letting Bertrand hit a street lamp. Jazz, meanwhile, was firing blasts at Spectra, who barely had enough speed to avoid.
"This is for making my brother miserable that time!..."Jazz yelled as she kept firing.
Meanwhile, Youngblood aimed his cannon peg leg at Star, grinning like a naughty kid on Christmas.
"Avast ye mateys, cause captain Youngblood gives no nickels..."The little pirate ghost announced, causing his foes to look at him in confusion.
"It's "No Quarter", not nickels..." His parrot minion corrected him.
Youngblood blinked upon hearing that.
"Nah, that can't be right..."He said, dismissing it.
Star took advantage of Youngblood talking to his bony bird buddy, swinging her saber at the pirate ghost.
"It is..."She said before trying to hit him but he moved aside.
"Haha, you missed me!..."Youngblood said, laughing.
"She won't..."Star said with a big grin on her face as she pointed back.
Youngblood was too late to look as Sam fired at him from her wrist ray.
"Should have stayed home and watch cartoons, Kid..."The goth said, blasting the pirate ghost again.
A few yards away, Jazz sent a blast at Johnny, sending the greasy haired biker flying back. The red head took some satisfaction in shooting her "ex".
"That was very cathartic..."Jazz thought before turning to fight another target.
Betrand then turned into a green knight with a sword. He tried to charge and swing, only for Sam to duck out of the way of the blade and Valerie managed to punch him.
"Oh no!..." Bertrand called out, flying back.
He crashed into Kitty, pinning her to the ground. Kitty grunted as she tried to push him off.
"Get off me!..."She yelled as she struggled to get back up on her feet.
The fighting continued with these evil ghosts and so far, it was working out for the heroes. One thing was for sure, they weren't the same harmless kids they were before as they got smarter and more used to how their attacks.
"Curses! They've gotten better!..." Technus shouted.
"Really? I hadn't noticed…" Spectra muttered.
"Seeing no other option, Spectra looked to Desiree.
"Do something!..." She shouted.
"WHAT?!..." Desiree asked, not hearing her.
"Ugh, those stupid earmuffs!…" Spectra grunted, annoyed.
As much as she wanted to yank them off and make the ghostly genie vanish the brats away, she couldn't risk Danny's little sidekicks wishing them into the ghost zone or into that stupid thermos right now.
So, the stupid earmuffs stayed on.
So, Spectra and others had to do this the hard way.
"I needed something to alleviate stress anyway..." She said as she eyed Jazz with Johnny as her foe.
She still wanted payback for their first encounter. However, the dark ghoul was distracted when someone hit her in the back of the head, knocking her away.
"Hey Spectra! I saw a wrinkle!..." Star shouted as she swung at the former guidance counselor.
Spectra as annoyed before she grinned at the sight of her, recognizing her from her time acting as Casper High's guidance councilor and how she "helped" her too.
"Star, how are you? Still using other people to validate your self worth and feel accepted?..." The ghoul asked with fake sweetness.
"Still picking on people's insecurities to make yourself look young to ignore you're really just a hag with no true self-worth?..." Star quipped, ignoring Spectra's words.
Spectra growled at that.
"Watch your mouth, you little brat! I'll make you pay!..."Spectra yelled as she fired a blast at Star who ducked away
"Someone needs an eye exam! Sight goes with age!..."The blonde girl shouted as she then proceeded to slash and drive back the shadowy ghoul, keeping Spectra on the defensive.
Spectra snarled as she did not like being told that. She then decided to try and push some buttons.
"Do you really think you can beat me?..." Spectra taunted, trying to punch Star.
Star glared as she ducked under Spectra's punch. Grabbing her by the arm, Star flipped her over her shoulder, kicking her in the head in the process.
Star smirked down at the emotion eating ghoul, feeling satisfied with this.
"I don't think I can win. I know it!..."Star said smugly to the ghoul.
Due to the brief time she spent as guidance counselor, Spectra knew of Star's issues, particularly the ones with her family, and she thought of using that.
Especially with a certain someone she hates.
"Do you really think you're worth standing next to him? I may hate the ghost brat but even I can admit he can do better then you..."Spectra taunted. "Like that step-sister's of yours. what was her name again? Connie? Carmen? Carrie? Whatever, at least she deserves to be with Danny..."Spectra said as she twisted the metaphorical knife.
"SHUT UP!..." Star shouted as she charged forward, saber out and ready to slash Spectra into pieces.
Spectra did her best, but she failed to avoid one last slash, hitting her arm.
"Insufferable little Brat!..."Spectra growled before before phasing through the ground.
"Where did she go?!..."Star asked as she looked around warily.
Star soon got her answer when she felt something wrap around her ankle, Spectra grabbed her and lifted her off the ground.
"Hey!..."Star yelled.
"Just thought I'd give you a higher understanding of your problems..."Spectra quipped before tossing her through the air.
Valerie saw this and flew in.
"Hang on, girl..." She called out, catching Star before she hit the ground and then letting her down gently.
"Thanks..."Star said, not using her name.
"No problem..."Val said, before going back to the fight.
She had to help get rid of these ghosts before going for Plasmius and help Danny. So, she tried to hurry.
Star stepped back as Spectra swooped down at her, her hands like claws as she tried to hurt her. The blonde girl dove to the left, slashing at Spectra's chest. Before the ghoul could recover. Valerie hit her with missiles.
"Back off!..."Valerie shouted at her, making a hit.
Spectra grunted before grinning at an idea.
"Still bitter about how you aren't as liked as you used to be...or are you still clinging to material possessions for friends?..."Spectra taunted.
Hearing that, Valerie gritted her teeth.
"I don't know how you know that, but you're gonna regret saying it!..."Valerie yelled as she charged at her.
"No, it's a trap!..." Star shouted but she was ignored.
Valerie flew in, but Spectra thought fast and spun around her to attack from behind. Star was about to help her, but realized something.
There was a quick way to end the fight. And she knew how.
"Duh! We have a genie here!..."Star thought as she turned around.
She saw Desiree was the only one not involved in the fight, wiping dirt off her hair and her earmuffs, not noticing the blonde staring at her. Star knew she could use that. She had to be quick though.
Star quickly dodged the others ghosts and went towards that specific one.
"Now for the genie..."She thought as she was about to go to her.
Desiree saw Star approaching and vanished. As Star looked around for her, Tucker, who was trying to avoid Johnny's Shadow, saw where Desiree was.
"Behind you!..." Tucker shouted .
Star turned her head, rolling out of the way of Desiree's giant fist that almost crushed her into a pancake.
It was all the help she can get, as everyone else was busy. Sam was fighting off Technus's robot armor while Jazz was firing at Kitty, not letting her blow a kiss at Tucker, who is still being chased by Johnny's Shadow.
"How does Danny do this every night?..."Jazz muttered, feeling a bit winded after she managed to blast Kitty.
"Practice. Plus, he can fly..."Sam said before going back to fighting Technus.
Meanwhile, Star avoided the hammer from Desiree when an idea came to her mind.
"Since Desiree can't hear me, I'm going to distract her while someone shoots her earmuffs off!..." She shouted as avoided Desiree's attack.
Sam heard this and smiled.
"You got it!..."She shouted.
Star nodded as she then tried to keep the genie ghost focused on her. She kept swinging her weapon at her, flailing away as she waited for someone to assist.
"Get lost, you little fool!..." Desiree shouted, unaware of the plan unfolding.
The ghost genie crept closer, her hands enlarging for an attack. This gave Sam ample time to aim. She was about to, but she was knocked back by Bertrand.
"Oh no!..."Sam exclaimed, losing her target.
However, due to her blast charged, and it fired after Sam was hit, the result was the blast being fired...and it's ricocheting around!
Star avoided the beam in time as it hit a nearby window, bouncing off.
"Get down!..."She yelled as Team Phantom and Valerie did so.
The blast was bouncing off reflective surfaces, including the shined and polished metals of cars. It was getting chaotic as the blast went through a clear window, now larger due being channeled through the glass.
Ectoplasmic energy tends to be comparable to light in makeup, especially right now.
The ghosts all saw this and realized what was about to happen and failed to get away.
"Oh… poo…" Desiree muttered under her breath before the large beam hit her hit her and sending her into her comrades and launching them down the street.
All of the ghosts were sent away by the amplified blast, making them fly off and Team Phantom looked relief for having a breather. They took a moment to collect themselves.
"Nice job..." Jazz said but she knew that they'd be back and they'd be angry. Well, angrier.
"Not what I had in mind but I'll take it..."Star said with a shrug.
She would have made a wish but Desiree had been knocked away when the beam hit her and figured she could try that later.
Anyway, with the ghosts temporarily subdued, Valerie looked to Phantoms "mysterious" sidekicks .
"Good job. I guess Phantom's got reliable aid backing him up..."Val said before becoming serious. "While they're distracted, I'm going after Plasmius too, I have to make sure that Phantom doesn't fall in a trap..."Valerie said as she flew after them.
Plus, there is no way that she is going to miss the chance to take Vlad down. Not after everything he's done.
"There's no way, I'm letting him get away! I'm getting some needed payback..."Val thought in determination.
With Danny
Danny followed after Vlad. He kept it up, flying faster as he chased after the older halfa. He had to know what he was up to.
"You're not going to get away, Vlad!..."Danny said as he kept flying.
He needed to stop the fruitloop from doing...well, he didn't know what the evil halfa was planning but it couldn't be good.
However, it didn't register to him that Vlad seems to not be going very fast, which would be suspicious. In fact, Vlad was planning on something that required Danny to be close by. Unfortunately, Danny wasn't in the best frame of mind right now and Vlad took advantage of it.
Anyway, he saw that his arch-foe had arrived to Axiom Labs. He saw Vlad faze in and Danny did the same.
Danny followed Vlad to an underground level, a secret chamber right below the laboratory. He would have wondered how his foe even managed to get this built but figured he'd piece it together once his memories were back.
At the very least, they are far away from people, so no one could get hurt.
Or so he thought.
"Ah, welcome Daniel. I see you managed not to lose me..."Vlad quipped as he turned to his young foe. "I didn't want you to know about this little private chamber but it's the only place I can use this..."Vlad said as he was standing by a machine.
Danny looked uneasy just looking at it.
The machine was beeping and glowing green. There was something ominous as it read "Link at 65%".
"That doesn't look good..." Danny thought as he noticed that Vlad still had the remote in his hand.
"I didn't want to do it this way but you forced my hands..."Vlad said as he smirked sarcastically at Danny.
The ghostly boy, amnesia or not, just knew that nothing good could come from this remote or this machine. Especially if they came from Vlad and it was clear that he wanted him here.
Something he didn't register until now.
Still, Danny did not let that stop him.
"Hand over the remote, Vlad!..."Danny shouted.
Vlad turned around and sneered at him.
"I think not. I have you now..."Vlad refused.
It was about time he knew why.
"What's your angle, Vlad? I doubt you brought me here to watch sports..."Danny demanded.
The ghostly villain then laughed mockingly, still holding the remote control in his hands.
"Oh little badger, haven't you figured it out yet? I shouldn't be surprised. With or without amnesia, you're still clueless since you don't have the best grades but it's something very useful to me..."He said mockingly.
Danny growled, annoyed with Vlad mocking him.
"Not to worry little badger, you'll find out in a few moments..."The ghostly villain said.
He then grinned as he gestured to the remote control, holding it out.
"You see Daniel, this remote is designed to remotely program the microvoyagers, the ones in your head to be exact..." Vlad explained.
The ghost boy panicked upon hearing this.
"The Nanobots have a remote?!..." Danny thought with rising dread
And VLAD had the remote?!
Oh, this is bad!
"Unfortunately, due to them being inside your head and because of all the flying around you've done has caused interference with my systems the remote can't directly influence the microvoyagers and they can't be reprogrammed to take control but it will change with this machine, with this machine, a means of amplifying the link between them and with it in my hands, you will be putty in my hands..."Vlad said, which explains why he chose to come here, to this machine. "I wanted to do this the easy way but you keep getting in the way, Daniel. I gave you the chance to join me but you refused again and again...so, you won't have a choice..."The villain added.
Danny glared at his arch enemy and snarled at him. He only clenched his fist as hearing this made his mind work.
He got more visions now about this man. Terrible visions of him doing bad.
He has this awful person committing evil and atrocious acts, including hitting on his mother and being cruel to his father.
He saw him infecting his friends with some disease, just to blackmail him into finding a cure for himself.
He saw him holding a similar remote at Jazz, doing something no doubt similar to this.
He saw him sending a blast at his father, making him crash into something and his mother running over to him, worried and terrified.
He also saw him doing something horrible to some girl who looked a lot like Danny himself, as in melting her!
He saw all of that and so much more. It made him recall something
"I remember…He hurt my dad, my sister… my friends… he hurt Danielle..."He whispered quietly, recalling the name of someone who is like a little sister to him.
He remembered that little girl and regretted forgetting her, something he'd get back at Vlad for.
"This man...is evil!..."Danny thought in outrage as he clenched his fist.
Vlad is pure evil and must be brought down.
"Drop the remote and step away from the machine, Vlad!..."Danny demanded.
Vlad sneered at him before grinning evilly, aiming the remote in his hands.
"I think not...In fact, I have a change of plan. I was going to have you as my obedient son but one push of this button will turn you into a mindless zombie..."Vlad said wickedly.
Danny sent him a glare and frowned.
"You're sick!..."He said.
He didn't need his full memory to know that much is certain. Vlad, on the other hand, had only this response.
"No Daniel, it's just good business to remove an unfavorable investment..." Vlad said as his hand hovered over the remote.
"Check mate, Daniel..."The villain said arrogantly as he smirked wickedly.
Before Vlad could push down on the button, a blast hit him from behind. Danny then saw that it was Valerie.
"Not today, Plasmius!..." Valerie declared, firing another blast from her wrist blaster.
Vlad raised a self made shield to deflect them but the force of them ended up knocking the remote out of his hands.
"NO!..." He shouted, flailing his arms in attempt to retrieve the device.
"Oh, no, you don't!..."Danny yelled before he and his enemy dove for the remote.
They both fought along the way down throwing punches and kicks at each other. They were both trying to take the other down and reach the remote first. Danny fought as hard as he could with what he remembered in order to get to it. He squinted his eyes and used his ice power to create snow to soften where the remote was falling before it hit the floor.
Vlad fired a blast that Danny blocked before throwing a kick that sent Vlad back a few feet away.
"That'll teach you to mess with my memories!..."Danny said before he dove down, going for the remote.
Grabbing the remote, Danny looked at it, trying to figure out how to give himself his memories back without pushing the wrong button and frying his brain
"Okay, no pressure...just gotta not mess my brain more. How hard can that be?..."Danny said as the remote seemed to become more complex with every second.
He suddenly wished that Tucker was here, since he'd understand this thing enough to make it work without frying his brain.
For all he knew, he'd make himself forget to breathe!
Danny was hesitant to push a button and took too long second guessing. It wasn't doing him any favors as Vlad came back and decided to make things harder for them.
"Don't you touch that!..."Vlad said as he rammed into the boy, wanting his device back.
"Hey!..."Danny yelled as he accidentally let go of the remote.
He tried to reach it but his arch enemy got in the way.
"I see your father didn't teach you not to touch what isn't yours!..."Vlad said before he grabbed Danny by the neck and began to squeeze, very hard.
"Gack!..."Danny let out.
The ghost villain then grabbed the remote from the ground and smirked down at his young foe, not letting him go.
"You keep forgetting Daniel, I'm 20 years your senior and have much more experience with my powers. I've offered to teach you but you refuse to renounce your father and take your place at my side as my protégée..." Vlad mocked before throwing Danny to the ground.
"My dad's a better man then you'd ever hope to be. No wonder my mom hates your guts..." Danny said, twisting the metaphorical knife.
Vlad growled before he punched Danny in the chest, making him let out a gasped breath. Danny looked up defiantly at Vlad, not giving up. The ghostly villain glared at him before he exhaled deeply out his nose as he took hold of the remote.
"Any last words before I make you my mindless slave?..."Vlad retorted.
Danny glared defiantly at Vlad, so he decided to keep him busy as he saw who was behind Vlad.
"Yeah… you're not gonna make me have that horrible hairdo like yours, are you?..." Danny asked mockingly.
Vlad snarly in anger at the youthful insult, wishing Danny forgot how to do those.
"I'm going to make sure you forget how to talk like that..."Vlad said in anger.
He was about to push the button until Valerie rammed into him, thus making him fly off of our amnesiac halfa and making him crash into a wall. Thus, letting Danny free.
Danny got up and smiled at her.
"Thanks..."He said to the Red Huntress.
"Don't mention it..."Valerie said, helping him get up. "Now let's fry that remote and that machine..."Valerie said, pointing to the ominous device that was amplifying the signal.
"Gladly..."Danny said, punched his palm in anticipation.
He was ready to get back in and kick Vlad's butt.
Speaking of which, the ghostly villain recovered from the attack and looked angrier.
"Get back or I'll destroy you!..."Vlad said with his eyes glowing.
The two teens stood their ground and were unwilling to stand down.
"I'm open to suggestions..." Danny said, while his "partner" thought fast.
"I got an idea..." Valerie said before motioning Danny closer to whisper to him.
Hearing it, Danny nodded. He fired a blast at Vlad that blocked with a shield. Once he lowered, his vision wasn't distracted by an attack.
"Was that it?!..." Vlad asked sarcastically.
"Nope..." Danny said as he fired a barrage of blasts at the vampire-esque ghost.
Vlad held up his hand and continued blocking with his shield.
"It seems you suffered more internal damage from the microvoyagers than I thought..." Vlad suggested mockingly.
"That's what he thinks..." Danny thought as Valerie made her move.
The female huntress used Vlad's distraction to get behind Vlad. The ghostly boy just kept firing blasts to keep his enemy from the remote and keep him busy until she gave the okay.
"Can't you just give up?..."Danny said as he kept firing.
"Not when I have the upper hand!..."Vlad said as he kept deflecting them.
"I can do this all day..."Danny said as he sent a blast.
"So can I..."Vlad said as he sent another to counter it.
The two blasts collided, exploding on impact and filling the lab with smoke.
Once the smoke of the blasts cleared, Vlad lowered his arm and saw what happened. Danny got up and flew off. Vlad saw this and frowned.
"That's right, run!..."Vlad said arrogantly...only to pause. "I don't think I remember him running away..."The old half ghost admitted.
"Neither do I..."Danny's voice said from behind before sending a blast to his back.
"I remember winning!..."He said with a grin.
"So do I..." Valerie added, unleashing a blast from her hoverboard at Vlad, sending him flying.
"GAH!..."The villain yelled before he recovered and flew back, furious to the armored huntress.
"Why are you fighting with him?! You're supposed to be enemies!..."Vlad yelled.
"Yeah, well... the enemy of my enemy...You know the rest..."Valerie said in a quip before punching Vlad in the nose.
"Gack!..."Vlad let out, furious at this sudden partnership.
He had to remind his little pawn about who the enemy is suppose to be.
"Just a moment! Isn't he the boy who ruined your life?!..."The villain yelled at her, trying to turn her against him again.
The female huntress just sent him an eye-roll at that.
"Maybe not by choice but it's necessary since I hate you more..."Valerie answered, meaning it.
"Ditto..."Danny said as he flew up next to Valerie.
He wasn't sure about the "ruining her life thing" but he'd ask later. Right now, they have to deal with this.
The two of them standing together, nodding with each other. The ghost boy then turned to his foe, looking furious and ready to him down.
"It's over, Vlad. Even without all my memories, I'm still kicking your butt..."Danny said mockingly to Vlad.
Vlad growled at this , he looked enraged at the two impertinent teenagers.
Still, he refused to give up.
"It's not over yet, Daniel..."The ghostly villain said, still intent to use Danny.
"It will be!..." Danny said.
"I disagree, Little Badger..."Vlad said as he still had his trump card.
Putting a hand behind his back , Vlad discreetly pushing a hidden button that was in his belt, something he saved as a last resort.
Suddenly, the machine suddenly hummed and glowed bright red for a moment. It was turning on and acting weird.
"What did you do?..."Valerie demanded, not liking this.
"Patience. You'll just have to wait and find out..."Vlad mocked.
The red huntress glared at him, tired of his trickery.
"The sooner I don't have to deal with him, the better..."She said.
"I agree..."Danny said, raising his hand which is glowing.
Vlad only scoffed at them.
"Oh, and do you really think your alliance of convenience can stop me? Don't make me laugh..."Vlad said arrogantly as he came flying towards them.
Danny and Valerie looked together before they attacked with combined blasts. They fired together and their combined beams sending Vlad flying through a wall and into the next room in the secret chamber, which was the bathroom. He ended up crashing through the toilet, much to his annoyance.
Once Vlad got up, he groaned before he growled and snarled at the teens for their interference.
He used intangibility to clean himself up by phasing the debris off before he glared at his young foes.
"You little brats! You think that will stop me? Pathetic!..."The villain said.
"Actually, I just needed you to let go of that remote..." Danny pointed to the device in his hands.
Vlad saw this and frowned.
"Don't even bother, Daniel. You have no way of knowing how to use it properly..."The villain pointed out.
"Who says I'm going to use it?..."Danny said, as he held it. "I just need to make sure you never do..."He said before crushing the remote in his hands.
"WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!..." Vlad shouted. "For all you know, you just lost your best chance to get your memories back!..."He yelled.
"I also took away a shot at controlling the robots in my head. Although... just to make doubly sure..."
Danny and Valerie then fired a combined attack at Vlad, sending him flying back into the original spot where they fought...into a certain something to be more exact, not that he noticed at the moment.
Anyway, Vlad groans as he pulled himself up, recovering from that attack.
"Was that supposed to destroy me?!..." He mocked.
"No… that..." Danny pointed to where Vlad landed.
Vlad looked around and gasped.
"Oh no…"He said on he was aware of what he crashed into.
He saw that he hit the machine that amplified the link, leaving a sizeable dent in it and causing some internal damage.
"Too bad you didn't get a warrant on your toy, Plasmius..."Valerie laughed before looking to Danny.
Vlad still looked horrified at the sight of his precious machine being damaged, while the teen heroes chuckled, looking pleased at their work and that Vlad was defeated once more.
"Looks like our work here is done..." Danny said, pleased.
"I suppose this is where we leave." Valerie said. "But first..."
She fired a beam once Vlad's guard was done, knocking him away.
"AH!..."Vlad yelled upon being hit and due to not focusing in time, he didn't become intangible and ended up crashing into ANOTHER Machine.
It was actually the generator. Anyway, he went through the wires, causing him to get a massive shock.
"AHHHHHHHH!..."Vlad yelled as his body briefly had the skeleton flash before he started smoking.
The two teen heroes covered their eyes from the flash.. A moment later, a singed Vlad got up and started twitching. Danny and Valerie got into position, ready for another round, but were surprised when the man collapsed. Black rings formed around him as he turned human.
Danny looked to Valerie and was curious, figuring that Vlad isn't playing possum to get them to lower their guard and then attack them.
It looks like he's out cold.
Still, he might not completely remember everything about this situation but still, maybe they can use this.
"Any chance your armor's got a camera?..."He asked.
"Fraid not..." She told him, walking over to Vlad making sure he was unconscious.
"Is he still alive?..." Danny asked.
"Unfortunately, yes. He still doesn't know I know his secret… so I can take advantage..." Valerie said.
"How would you-..." Danny didn't finish as Valerie punched him in the face, giving him a black eye.
"Uh… I got my answer…"He said while the huntress looked pleased with herself.
Once she was clear he was out cold, Valerie grinned at her handiwork.
"I really needed that..."Valerie said, mildly satisfied with ruining his plans and the punch she gave him.
"Same..."Danny said to her, smiling.
He then noticed something else. It was the machine Vlad had used earlier
"One more thing…" Valerie said as she aimed her blaster.
"Actually… we should take it with us, in case he decides to fix it..." Danny said, lifting the machine with his power. "We better go…"He said.
"Right..." Valerie said as they flew off to the way up.
A few moments later
Vlad woke up in a daze, his head throbbing and his entire body aching due to his injuries.
"Oh Butter Biscuits, that hurt!..."He said as he regained consciousness.
"What happened?..."He muttered as he shook his head and looked around.
Vlad gasped in fury at the state of his secret chamber as it was damaged. He tried to recall what happened. Unfortunately, due to the electric shocks he received, he recalled two teens who shot him and destroyed his devices but that was it!
He didn't know if Valerie saw him transform, but that didn't matter. All he did know is that his little foe is gone, his former apprentice got in the way, the microvoyagers are now useless without the remote and even worse, the machine is gone too, so he can't even reprogram it.
His plot was ruined!
With Danny and the microvoyagers (as well as the remote) gone and everything else wrecked and he didn't have any more tricks up his sleeve.
The fake theft was all for nothing.
Vlad, injured and in human form, growled as he pounded his fists in the ground in fury.
"What?! No! IT WAS SUPPOSE TO BE FOOL-PROOF!..."He screamed before he felt the toll of his injuries on his body.
He ended up passing out again due to all the damage he still received.
Looks like he reached his limit and lost...
Again.
