Next chapter coming up right now.
I do not own Thomas the Tank/Thomas & Friends or I would have kept them in their models forms.
A month had passed since Thomas first got his own branchline to run and he ran it very well. He ran all over it performing each job had very well and gotten them done in good time. He was very proud of his work.
Today was no exception as he reached the junction early and he smiled proudly as he stepped out of Number 1's cab to stretch his body. He saw both Annie and Clarabelle who had no school today so they worked their part time job on the coaches. Despite their very young ages they did their jobs so well the passengers had joked they were secretly adults stuck in the bodies of children.
He soon looked back across the junction and saw to his annoyance & worry that Henry hadn't shown up with his Passenger Train.
"Where is Henry? I hope his steaming troubles haven't caused him trouble again." He said as he worried that Henry's current steaming problems had acted up today.
After a few moments he saw Number 3 eventually pull up with the Old Coaches and Henry had a sad look on his face as he brought his train to a stop at the platform.
"Sorry Thomas. Steaming problems again…" He said to Thomas as the passengers on Henry's grumpily boarded Thomas's two Orange Coaches. Thomas pats his shoulder reassuring him it's okay as he knew the problems Henry was facing.
"Don't worry about it Henry. I know you are doing your best with your engine's steaming problems." He smiled at the taller man who managed to smile back at Thomas's words. Soon Thomas saw it was time to go and boarded his engine getting ready to head off.
The Guard rides in the second coached with Annie blew his whistle as he was about to get on and Thomas moves his train, but Thomas didn't see the Guard had stopped as one of his laces on his shoes got caught and found himself tripping before he could get onto the train. By the time he got up he sae Thomas was pulling out of the junction before he could even shout to stop Thomas.
Annie had seen it and tried to signal to Clarabelle who saw what she was trying to say. She tried to signal to Thomas to stop, but Thomas didn't see and kept on going down the line.
Luckily, a signal box up ahead was set for them to stop and Thomas did stop after seeing it. He wondered why they had to stop when they got the all clear to leave just a few moments ago. He looked out of the cap to see if the Guard noticed something he didn't and Thomas than realised they had to stop.
The Guard ran up the tracks as fast as possible and when he caught up to the train he panted hard while red faced.
"Sorry about that. Didn't notice." Thomas apologize honestly while handing the Guard a bottle of water to drink. The Guard eagerly got the bottle and gulped the water down greatly. "That's alright Thomas… I should checked my laces…" The Guard panted before catching his breath and soon he hopped into the back coach while Thomas got back into his engine and drove off lightly embarrassed he left something else behind again.
Later at the sheds he could only sigh as Gordon teased him. "First coaches, now the Guard, whatever else shall you leave behind?"
Thomas just simply rolls his eyes. "Me and bad luck indeed…"
