Chapter 13: Battling the Bully

Another day in Chaotic. Sidney and Minnie had just ported back from Perim. They both stretched out from being out there for 2 whole weeks. "Well, that was barely worth the time we almost wasted out there." Minnie said. "Yeah. But at least we got some good scans of Eremia and Zalic." Sidney said. "Yeah, I guess you're right." Minnie said.

"Well, well, well." A voice said. "If it isn't the UnderQueen herself." Minnie was startled. "That voice. It can't be." She said. "Oh, but it is, freak." The voice said. Minnie and Sidney turned around to see a young boy, almost their age, standing behind them. "Hello Fry." Minnie said. "Aw, you remember me. How sweet. I hate sweet." Fry said. "Uh, Minnie, who is this kid?" Sidney asked. "This is Fry. He's…my high school bully." Minnie said. Sidney was surprised to hear this. "So, who're you supposed to be? Minnie's new towel girl?" Fry asked insultingly. "No, I'm her best friend. Sidney Majors. Screename Majorina." Sidney corrected. "Oh yeah. You're the daughter of that third-rate player, MajorTom." Fry insulted. "Excuse me?!" Sidney said. "I'm actually surprised that Minnie actually found a friend in someone like you. She usually prefers to be a lone wolf. Live alone, die alone. Like it should be." Fry insulted.

"Shut up." Minnie muttered. "Huh? What was that?" Fry asked. "I said shut up. You pushed me around long enough. Now that you start pushing my best friend around, I'm afraid I can't just let that go easily." Minnie said. "So, what are you saying, UnderQueen?" Fry asked smugly. "I'm saying that I have match in BattleDrome Hottek in 20 minutes. With you." Minnie challenged. "Oh, this will be fun." Fry said.

Later, as Sidney and Minnie walked their way towards the Drome, Sidney noticed Minnie looking a little nervous. "You okay?" She asked. "I'm not sure. Maybe I just made a mistake challenging Fry to this match." Minnie said. "Why? Is it because he bullies you?" Sidney asked. "Yes. Even though I'm a goth, he scares me." Minnie admitted. Sidney felt a deep pain for her best friend. "Minnie, I know what it's like to be bullied, and I know for a fact that you can't continue to run away from them." She said. Minnie thought long and hard about this. She knew Sidney was right.

Inside the Drome, Minnie and Fry prepared for their match. "UnderQueen, FrafdoFryer, assemble your battle teams." The Drome Master said. Minnie and Fry started picking through their decks. "Lock your decks." They locked their decks and revealed their teams. Minnie had Banshor, Bladez, Spyder, Kerric, Ultadur and Grook. Fry had Slurhk, Attacat, Viqtar, Drabe, Ogsmog and Frafdo. "FrafdoFryer, you will attack first. Activate the Location randomizer." Fry spun the randomizer and spun through his 10 Locations until it stopped. "The first Location, Skeletal Springs." "Attacat attacks Spyder!" Fry declared. He tapped his Attacat card and transformed into the black panther warrior. Minnie tapped her Spyder and transformed into the big spider. "Let's get Chaotic." She said.

Attacat, armed with a Cyclance, wandered through the boneyards of Skeletal Springs. Spyder hid in a ribcage, waiting to pounce the awaiting prey. Just as she was about to drop, Attacat heard her and fired his Cyclance up at the UnderWorlder. Minnie quickly scurried out of the way, dropped down and blasted a Steam Rage, but Attacat moved aside. "You're gonna have to use better attacks to stop me. That is, if you have any better attacks." He taunted. "How about this? Flashwarp!" Minnie shouted, trapping Attacat's feet with Flashwarp. Attacat struggled to get free. "Go ahead. Tire yourself out. It'll make this quicker for me." Minnie said. "Oh, I highly doubt that." Attacat said, aiming his Cyclance and firing an Airize, blasting Spyder into the skeleton piles. He finally pulled himself free from his concrete trap and prepare to finish the job. But then, Spyder burst free from the skeleton piles, using a Torwegg. Attacat blasted his Cyclance, but couldn't get a single hit. Spyder then blasted Attacat with Inferno Gust, coding him.

Back in the Drome, Minnie smiled proudly as she transformed back. "UnderQueen wins the first battle." The Drome Master said. "Lucky shot." Fry said. "Not luck. Skill." Minnie said. "UnderQueen, it is your attack." Minnie spun her Location randomizer, landing on the next Location. "The next Location, Shipwreck Beach." "Banshor attacks Slurhk!" Minnie tapped her Banshor and transformed into the ghostly ghoul. Fry tapped his Slurhk and transformed into the big scorpion.

At Shipwreck Beach, Slurhk trailed the sand, looking for Banshor. Suddenly, a Shriek Shock hit Slurhk in the back. Slurhk looked around, but he couldn't see anything due to the fog. Minnie played well, using the fog to her advantage. "Spirit Gust!" She whispered, firing 3 spirit heads at Slurhk. Slurhk was now getting frustrated with this. "That's enough playing hide 'n' seek!" He said, forming a Pyroblaster in his claws and blasting fire into the fog. He barely caught a glimpse of Banshor's shadow in the fire. "I've got you now." He aimed his BattleGear to where the shadow was. 'Not good. But I've got just the backup to help.' Minnie thought. She cast a Mugician to activate a Mugic. "Melody of Malady!" The Mugic played in key and proceeded to deal damage to Slurhk. Slurhk struggled to keep fighting after being hit by that Mugic. "Delerium!" Banshor shouted, firing Delerium from her head straight at Slurhk, coding him.

Fry got really frustrated, having lost a second battle in a row. "What's wrong Fry? Not up to battling my UnderWorlders?" Minnie asked as she transformed back. "Think what you want, UnderQueen, because I'm about to show all of Chaotic just the loser you are." Fry said.

Fry's attack. "Viqtar attacks Banshor!" Winner: Viqtar.

Minnie's attack. "Bladez attacks Viqtar!" Winner: Bladez.

Fry's attack. "Drabe attacks Spyder!" Winner: Drabe.

Sidney watched the match from the Port Court. "Come on, Min. I know you can beat him." She said.

Minnie's attack. "Ultadur attacks Drabe!" Winner: Ultadur.

Fry's attack. "Ogsmog attacks Kerric!" Winner: Ogsmog.

Minnie's attack. "Bladez attacks Ogsmog!" Winner: Ogsmog.

Fry's attack. "Ogsmog attacks Ultadur!" Winner: Ultadur.

Minnie transformed back. "You might as well forfeit. There's no way you can beat my last 2 UnderWorlders with just Frafdo." She said. "Oh, we'll see." Fry said. "UnderQueen, it is your attack." The Drome Master said. Minnie spun her randomizer, stopping at the next Location. "The next Location, UnderWorld Colosseum." "Grook attacks Frafdo!" Minnie declared, tapping her Grook card.

At the Colosseum, Grook and Frafdo prepared to face-off. Frafdo flew in while firing a Lightning Burst. Grook rolled to the side and blasted a Pyro Punch, knocking Frafdo to the ground. "Like I said, Frafdo's no match for Grook." Minnie said. "Oh, that is where you're wrong." Fry said, getting up. "Wanna see why I put Frafdo on my team?" Frafdo then formed an unfamiliar piece of BattleGear in his hand. "Recognize this?" "A Tome of the Air Regions!" Minnie said in realization. "That's right. With this, not only will it boost my air attacks, but every time I use an air attack, it will increase my wisdom and speed." Fry said. "In other words, I'm unstoppable now." He fired a Cyclone Slam, blowing Grook into the wall. Grook struggled to stand up, but Frafdo swooped in and blasted Grook with Airize, coding him.

Back in the Drome, Fry was feeling proud as he transformed back. "So, who's ready to forfeit now, UnderQueen?" He asked. Minnie didn't answer. She just looked down in shame. Suddenly, Sidney called her on her scanner. "Minnie, don't give up now! You can still win the match!" She said. "No, I can't. Not when Frafdo's equipped with the Tome of the Air Regions." Minnie said. "But you still have Ultadur! He's as fast as Gespeden, remember?" Sidney said. Minnie's eyes went wide. 'That's right! Ultadur is as fast as Gespeden!' She thought. "Thanks Sid. You just gave me an idea that could help me win." She said. "Good luck, Min." Sidney said, ending the call. Minnie got her game face back on and glared at Fry. "Your funeral, UnderQueen." Fry said, activating his randomizer, stopping on the final Location. "The final Location, Kiru City." "Frafdo attacks Ultadur." Fry tapped his Frafdo and transformed into the big white bird once more. Minnie tapped her Ultadur and transformed as well. "Let's get Chaotic." She said.

Frafdo flew above the city, carrying the Tome and looking for Ultadur. Just then, he saw a blur run through the city streets. "Got you." He said, diving into the city. Ultadur saw Frafdo flying in after him. Frafdo fired a Plasmarrow. Ultadur dodged to the left, turned around and fired Heat Rage from his mouth, hitting Frafdo in the chest. Frafdo landed to recover from the damage. Both Creatures glared at each other. "You ready to finish this?" Frafdo asked. "I've been waiting for years." Ultadur said. Both Creatures started firing attack after attack. Frafdo fired Cyclone Slam. Ultadur fired Torrent of Flame. Frafdo then fired Airize, while Ultadur fired Ember Swarm. Finally, Frafdo and Ultadur collided with Windslash and Progressive Speed. But thanks to Ultadur's higher speed, his Progressive Speed pushed through the air attack and coded Frafdo.

"The winner: Majorina." The Drome Master announced. Fry just growled as Minnie transformed back. "Nice game, Fry." Minnie said, taking her scanner and walking out. "Next time, you won't be so lucky." Fry muttered.

At the Port Court, Sidney and Minnie chowed on some burgers as a celebration. "I'm proud of you, Minnie. You faced your bully and you won." Sidney said. "Thanks. But I couldn't have done it without you, Sid." Minnie said. "Aw you!" Sidney said, tapping Minnie's arm as they shared a laugh.

Fry however was in lousy shape. He drunk down at least a dozen Shimmark Shakes to try and drown his thoughts on Minnie beating him. As he was about to pick up his 13th shake, someone else grabbed it first. "I think you've had enough shakes." A voice said. Fry looked up and saw A.J. and Marshall standing over him. "What do you 2 want?" He asked. "We saw your match with that loser Minnie. We have a proposition for you, Fry. One I think you'd be very interested in." A.J. said. Fry seemed intrigued "I'm listening."
