Chapter 13

(Courtroom)

It was after the case, Jason and Adam had won, and the dork had to leave them alone. Adam, Jason, and the girls were talking about what they're going to do now. "We're going to work on 'Slayer Chief'." Said Jason. Betty just chuckled, "but I was also thinking about doing our little adventure as well. I'll just need permission from you guys."

"Well, you got mine to use me." Said Adam.

"You are my partner, of course I got you."

"Well, you got me." Said Jess.

"Thanks 'Lil J'."

"Me too," said Laura. "And I'm sure Mom wouldn't mind." Jason looked at the girls.

"Up to you guys." Said Adam, the others got together and talked about it. Then nodded and broke off, "well? Have you decided?"

"We'll do it." Said Maria. With that, they went home and Jason went to work.

Meanwhile, Adam's grandmother and great grandmother were talking to Regina. [So, he found three more?] Said her mother.

"Yes, mother."

[And they met at X-Mas Kon?] Asked her grandmother.

"Yes, 'Mama Dear'."

[We are gonna meet them, right?]

"Yes, we're taking the jet out, after we talk to their parents."

[Very well, make sure they know what they are getting into.]

"I will. Also, I have a surprise for the both of you."

[I can't wait to see this.] So they hung up and she went to tell the others about going to New Orleans.

"New Orleans?" Asked Ronnie.

"Yes, we're going to see G Ma and the Great Lady?" Said Laura.

"Yeah, they said that they were staying this time." Said Adam.

"Oh, I can't wait to see them!"

"I think the feelings mutual, sis." Said Maria.

"Alright," said Regina. "We have to meet your parents." Gina, Ronnie, and Betty looked at her and nodded.

"I'll go with you Mom." Said Adam, so they go and meet the girl's parents.

(After the meetings)

"Well, they love you guys." Said Ronnie, "now we got to meet your folks."

"I think you'll like them." Said Ayla.

(Williams plantation, outside New Orleans, Louisiana)

Adam pulled up to the house and Gina was excited about seeing the plantation-like house. "This Place Is Huge Train!" She said.

"Yes," said Regina. "We have a huge family Gina." They pulled up to the front door, the girls and Jason got out.

"I'll go park the van." Said Adam, the others had gone to the door and Regina waited for Adam to knock. Then he came to the door with his bags, and Priority opened the door.

"Well, this is a surprise." She said, Regina hugged her old friend. Then Laura hugged her as well, "it's good to see you, Laura."

"You too Priority," said Laura as she hugged the manservant. They went to the main room to see the elders. "G Ma! Great Lady!" She hugged them tightly.

"Laura!" Said her grandmother and hugged her.

"Hello, Wakai hito." Said her great grandmother.

"Toeaina," said Adam. "These are the new ones, Gina, Veronica, and Elisabeth." Gina, Ronnie, and Betty bowed to them.

"It's nice ta meet ya ladies." said the grandmother.

"Nice to meet you too ma'am." They said, they sat down in the office.

(Later, with Adam, Jason, and Laura)

The three powerhouses were walking in the back to a swing and talking about what was going to happen to Gina, Ronnie, and Betty. "So, they are going to go through the test?" Asked Laura.

"That's what Maria and the others did." Said Adam.

"What did they think?" Asked Laura.

"Ask them," then Ayla came over to them with some drinks along with the others. Jason and Adam were working on the comic. Jason on the artwork and Adam on the story.

"Hey guys," said Laura. "What were your thoughts on the tests?"

"Well, to begin with." Said Maria, "we were scared."

"Yeah," said Ayla. "We had to experience our worse nightmares." She looked at Adam sadly.

"Train dying?" Said Jason, they nodded.

"And of course," said Laura as she looked at Adam. "You felt guilty about everything." Adam lowered his head. "You Do Not Control Our Dreams!"

"But…" he said.

"Look bro, stop trying to be Dad. You're not, you be you." Laura hugged him. Maria grabbed him from behind and kissed him. Tears fell out of his eyes, Laura hugged him tightly as she stroked his hair. "It's okay." Just then Regina had come over, she went to him. She grabbed him, she knew he needed comfort.

"Girls," she said. "Adam's father was his best friend, When he died in battle, he was crushed. He felt like he lost everything and we were going to blame him for everything."

"That doesn't make sense!" Said Alix, "It Wasn't His Fault!"

"We know Dear, but sometimes, he just doesn't see that." She pulled off to look at him, "Adam. I don't blame you for his death. You are not only my beloved son but my greatest creation. Jessica has my love, Laura is my heart, you are my soul. When your heart breaks, I'm shattered. That's why we try our best to cheer you up. Okay?" She kissed him on the temple.

(Later in the plantation)

"He still blames himself for Eric's death?" Said Regina's mom.

"Yes Mother," she said.

"I thought his heart was healing," said his great grandmother.

"He is, it's just what the girls are going through, destroys him." The grandmother just held Adam against her. His great grandmother started to stroke his hair.

Maria had gone with the others to talk. They went outside to the back.

(With the girls)

"We really need to help him." Said Maria.

"But how?" Asked Ayla, "I mean every time the tests are brought up…"

"There must be something about what happened between him and his father." Said Betty.

"But what?" Said Gina.

"Should we ask Mom?" Asked Kathi.

"I think we should." Said Alix, so they headed to find her.

"You think it has something to do with them?" Said Regina, the girls nodded. Just then Priority came in.

"I know what happened and it's not a happy story." She said.
