Good Evening,

Oxford Not Brogues

Chapter Thirteen

Two Weeks Later

It seemed that time had really strengthened their relationship. Before, Seras had been shy just holding their hands. Now the little human would just walk right up to one of them, casually wrap her arms around his neck, and kiss him without so much a blush. She had really grown confident and more passionate. Such love and tenderness showed in her eyes whenever she looked at them. If possible, Alucard and Sebastian were falling more in love with her by the day. And the sex was incredible. Overtime, it became easier for the monsters to control themselves around Seras. They were far more careful, but the sex was still so fiery and phenomenal. Slowly, they were doing newer things in the bedroom. The little human was so encouraging of things they wanted to do to her, that she even took them to a sex shop. It had been so surprising when she did so because the girl was so damn innocent. And even though her face had been red the entire time they shopped, she never showed disappointment or disgust. She eagerly suggested things to buy, such as collars and leashes. Seras, the curious thing she was, even tried testing a crop over her arm when she thought they weren't looking.

There was no true reason why Alucard and Sebastian needed to shop there. They could have just conjured that stuff into existence if they truly wanted to. But they didn't tell Seras that. They stayed, looked around, and bought some of those sex toys for one reason: to see what their mate would be in to trying with them. They watched her ever so closely as she explored that store. She stayed far from the extravagant and really intense stuff such as oversized dildos or monster dildos as the humans called it. She swayed from vibrators, fist dildos, and butt plugs; too shy to even look in their direction. But the stuff that she did draw closer to did surprise Alucard and Sebastian. She browsed through lingerie, collars and leashes, whips of all sorts, handcuffs and ropes, gags, and even Kegel balls. They purchased quite a bit that day. Seras got pretty white lingerie, a neon pink collar that said 'sinful' and a matching leash and attachable handcuffs. Along with that, they got a crop, a red nine tails whip, blue soft rope, and, to show their submission to their mate, Alucard and Sebastian bought collars of their own. Their collars were simple black leather with just one word on it that said 'Hers'. Seras appeared delighted by it, even though she didn't say much. She just smiled bashfully and added their collars with the other stuff in her arms.

Needless to say, they took advantage of the things they bought. Every other night, they would use the collars and leashes or pull out one of the whips. They used the handcuffs occasionally, either strapping in to a collar or to the headboard. The sex was never dull, no matter where they did it or what they used and didn't use. But it wasn't just the sex. Everything else they did with her was satisfying, incredible, and comforting. On nights they didn't have sex, Seras would simply just curl up between them on the couch and they would just watch a movie. They would still talk or sit in a silence while reading. Sebastian would still play Scrabble with Seras and kick her ass at the game. Alucard would teach her how to play chess. They would go for walks and accompany her to stores. They even went to the movie store with her a couple of times just to help her pick things to rent for that weekend. They would sit at the dining room table and talk while she ate her meals and Alucard consumed a blood bag. And at the end of the night, they would retire to her bed and sleep peacefully.

Those two weeks were full of such happiness and peace. But all of that serenity slipped away one day when Seras emerged from the back of the flat looking so very pale. There were bags under her eyes and her hair was tousled from a restless night of sleep. A frown was on her lips and her eyes were distant and gloomy. She dragged herself over to the dining room table and sat down in one of the chairs. Afterwards, she crossed her arms on the table and rested her head in the cradle. She looked absolutely miserable.

"You look like death warmed up." Alucard commented. He was sitting across from her at the table. His leg was crossed over the other and his fingers lightly drummed on the tabletop as he stared at her. There was an empty blood bag sitting in front of him along with a wine glass full of blood.

"I didn't get a lot of sleep last night." Seras murmured before she closed her eyes.

"I noticed," Sebastian spoke as he set down a hot cup of coffee in front of her. He figured she would need it due to her lack of sleep. "What was keeping you awake?"

"I was feeling nauseous." She grimaced. "I still feel sick to my stomach." Automatically, the demon pressed his hand to his mate's face, feeling her warmth.

"You're searing hot." Sebastian muttered, causing his mate to smile softly.

"Thanks," She snickered under her breath. "You're hot too." Even though, she knew what he had truly meant.

"Perhaps you shouldn't go to work today." The demon suggested and he sat down at the head of the table.

"No," Seras disagreed with him and she shook her head. Sitting up right, the tired girl grabbed her cup of coffee and took a sip of it. "I need to go." She continued after swallowing the hot liquid. "I'm going to put this in a thermos so I can take it with me." She muttered as she stood up and walked into her kitchen to look for a thermos.

"Seras, it would be best if you stayed home. You can return to work when you're feeling better." Sebastian said in a strict voice, though he knew that wouldn't work on his stubborn mate.

"What? I'm just not going to go to work because I have a stomach ache?" Seras questioned as she stood up on her tip toes to reach her thermos on a high shelf. "I'll be fine, Sebastian."

"Michaelis is right, Seras. You didn't sleep at all last night and you're sick; you'll be no good to your unit in this state." Alucard spoke up. But Seras still wouldn't listen to them. She just poured her hot coffee into the thermos.

"I'll. Be. Fine." She repeated. "I'm sorry I said anything." She muttered with a roll of her eyes. The demon stood up and walked towards her. "I'll just take a couple of antacids and drink coffee."

"Coffee," Sebastian interrupted as he took her thermos from her.

"Hey!" Seras exclaimed. Her eyes flickered up towards his face to give him an annoyed look.

"Will only upset your stomach further," The demon finished and he set her thermos down on the counter. "Now, go get into bed before I put you over my knee." He said sternly while flashing a smug smirk. He thought he had won this little battle, but Seras was too headstrong.

"I'll just get coffee at the station then." The little human retorted. She then stood up on her tip toes to place a kiss on the demon's cheek. "I'll see you guys at five."

"Seras Victoria!" Sebastian raised his voice as the small blonde walked over to Alucard to place a kiss on his cheek. The small blonde looked over her shoulder to give him a defiant look. "Do we need to strap you to that bed to make sure you don't leave it?"

"We have the cuffs." Alucard chuckled in agreeance.

"Sebastian, I'm fine!" Seras said for the final time. She turned to face him, but she didn't look fine in the slightest to him. She was still so pale and sickly. He really didn't want her going out only to get sicker. "It's just a little stomach ache for fuck sake! It's nice that you're worried about me, but you're worrying about nothing!" The girl then lightly waved goodbye to him before she started heading towards the door. "If I start to feel worse I'll come home. But in the meanwhile, I'm going to work and neither of you two can talk me out of it." With that said the stubborn human left the flat.

"Damn," The demon sighed heavily while he dropped his head in disappointment. His eyebrow twitched in annoyance.

"She's five foot five and weighs very little; I think we can take her." Alucard joked. The demon lifted his gaze to give the vampire a hard look.

"This isn't funny, Alucard. Seras is harming her health by acting like an idiot." Sebastian growled.

"All humans get sick, Michaelis. One little flu isn't going to kill her." The No Life King reminded him.

"But it can kill her. Humans have died from influenza before, Alucard." The demon proceeded to argue.

"But how often does a human actually die from it?" Alucard asked him rhetorically.

"Do you really wish to bet our mate's life that she won't die from it? Are you really that confident, Alucard?" Sebastian asked, growing angrier by the second.

"You're overreacting." The No Life King simply stated.

"I would feel better if Seras just stayed home and rest. That way her illness doesn't get worse." The demon sighed.

"She promised that she would come home if she started to feel worse." Alucard reminded him.

"Yes, but you and I both know how stubborn that girl can be." Sebastian scoffed as he walked over to the table to sit back in his chair. The vampire lowered his gaze to stare at his wine glass.

"Yes, I'm well aware." He muttered. There was a long moment of silence among them before the demon suddenly jolted in his chair. Alucard's eyes immediately flickered back at the startled looking demon.

"What if Seras is pregnant?" Sebastian asked outright. The vampire's brows rose in astonishment, but disbelief was clear in his eyes.

"You think Seras is feeling ill because she might be pregnant?" Alucard snickered.

"How is that ridiculous?" The demon questioned him. "We haven't exactly been careful these last few weeks." This wiped the grin from the vampire's face. "Seras may be getting morning sickness."

"Women normally don't get morning sickness until they've been a few months pregnant. We've only started sleeping with Seras two weeks ago." The No Life King retorted. "You're just overreacting because you're worried about her. All these different possibilities are flitting through your head when Seras just has the flu."

"You're only being ignorant about this because you're in denial, Alucard." Sebastian grumbled as he rubbed his forehead in impatience. "It doesn't matter if Seras is human. We're monsters and one of us may have impregnated her, which means that the fetus will be a monster too. You and I both know that it will develop a lot faster in the womb than a human child. So, it makes sense if Seras is getting morning sickness so early on in her pregnancy." This seemed to have silenced the vampire for now. Alucard sat there so quietly and stiffly, and just stared at the demon. Was Seras really pregnant? "What of her menstruation cycle? We've been with Seras physically almost every single night for the last two weeks. Is she late or did she miss it?" The demon then sighed before lowering his hand to look back at the silent vampire. "What are we going to do?"

"We promised Seras children." Alucard reminded him softly.

"Yes, but I just wasn't expecting them so soon." Sebastian muttered as his gaze flickered to the table.

"Neither was I," The vampire whispered.

"And this is a very dangerous situation for Seras to be in." The demon proceeded. "She's still human. Can she even handle this pregnancy?"

"We don't even know if she's pregnant." Alucard scoffed in annoyance.

"But we need to prepare ourselves in case she is." Sebastian responded.

"If she is then we'll have no choice but to turn her, rather she's willing or not. There's no way in hell I'm losing her to an unwanted fetus." The vampire snarled before he took a sip from his glass of blood.

"That could work," The demon murmured. "The transformation shouldn't hurt the child either considering it would already be undead." The demon's gaze flickered back to stare at the No Life King. "But you should be more considerate towards Seras' feelings, Alucard. We may not be ready for fatherhood, but Seras may want the child. Be careful about what you say around her."

"I know," Alucard whispered as he placed his wine glass back on the table. "I would never hurt Seras like that." His red eyes then flickered back to meet with the demon's gaze. "I'm not against having children with her. I just don't want to risk her life over the life of our child."

"I completely understand." Sebastian responded softly. "We just got Seras. I don't want our time with her to end so soon. We should have centuries with her."

"She needs to give up her mortality." The No Life King immediately added.

"But will she do it voluntarily?" The demon questioned with a disappointed look.

"Does it matter? It will happen if she's pregnant." Alucard retorted. "We'll force your blood down her throat if we have to."

"I would prefer it if Seras was willingly to do so, though. I want her to continue trusting us." Sebastian sighed. "Alucard, if Seras is pregnant, I think we should be honest and tell her that we want her to give up her mortal life because the child could endanger her."

"And what if she's to say 'no', Michaelis? Will you stand by and watch her as that beast kills her slowly, painfully?" The vampire asked while flashing such a dark, malevolent look at the Prince of Hell.

"Of course not," Sebastian scoffed and he sat up straighter in his chair; not showing the slightest bit of intimidation. He gave the male an equally dark look. "If she refuses, then we'll result to turning her without consent. But only if she refuses." He added in a stern voice. Silence droned on between them for another long moment. Alucard took another gulp from his glass, finishing nearly half of it. A smirk slowly slipped on the demon's face as his mind wandered. "I may not be eager becoming a father so suddenly, but I am, admittedly, curious to meet that little newborn." It took a second, but a grin spread across the vampire's lips and he snickered under his breath.

"Under other circumstances, I might be welcoming towards it." Alucard muttered before he dropped his gaze to stare into his wine glass. The grin slowly grew on his face. "If Seras decides to lose her mortality, I just might warm up to that little beast." Suddenly, they heard a sharp click; the sound of mechanisms in a lock. Instinctively, Alucard and Sebastian's heads snapped to the side just in time to see Seras walking in through the door. She looked paler than when she left and absolutely sick to her stomach. The girl didn't bother looking at them. Instead, she closed the door behind her and raised a hand to them to stop them from saying anything.

"I don't want to hear either of you say who was right and who was wrong, but I got sick on the way to work." Seras told them. She then glanced at the males from the corner of her eye. She looked miserable. "Please, no smug looks or smart remarks. I feel like hell." She begged of them lightly. She then pointed towards her bedroom. "I'm just going to go call in sick, take a hot shower, and then crawl into bed."

"I'm glad you decided to come home to rest." Sebastian commented as his mate headed towards the back of the flat.

"I hate missing work." The girl grumbled before she disappeared into her bedroom. The demon immediately glanced back over at the vampire.

"She heaved," He stated. "Does this confirm our theory that she may have morning sickness?"

"Confirm?" Alucard snickered and he shook his head. "No, it could still be the flu."

"But there are so many symptoms there." Sebastian spoke as he glanced at the doorway to the bedroom. "She's nauseous, vomiting, showing fatigue, has a high temperature, a late period, and her moods have been wavering since last night."

"We don't know if her cycle was late or not. And her mood swings could just be from being sick. She did say that she felt like hell." The vampire reminded him. The demon sighed before getting up out of his chair.

"There's only one way to be sure. I'm going out to purchase a pregnancy test." Sebastian responded softly. "Keep an eye on her. I don't want her falling in the shower."

Half an hour later, Seras was stepping out of a steamy shower. She pulled her towel from her rack and wiped the droplets of water from her eyes before wrapping it around her body. She had hoped that the shower would make her feel a little better, but it didn't. She still felt horrible. Her stomach hurt, but not as bad as it did this morning. That was probably because she threw up. The girl's stomach lurched from the reminder and she groaned in misery. Being sick was the worst. She just couldn't wait to curl up into her bed and sleep…if she can sleep. Maybe she'll pop some sleeping pills; she was dead tired. Seras walked over to her vanity and grabbed her toothbrush. Applying a good amount of toothpaste, she brushed her teeth for the second time since coming home. But nothing she did was making her feel any better. In fact, it was just making her feel downright gross.

"Damn," The girl growled with a mouth full of toothpaste. She spat the minty substance from her mouth and rinsed to get the last of it out. "I just want to go to bed and sleep this awful day away." She grumbled to herself. She didn't bother drying herself off. The little human dropped her towel on the floor and anxiously put on her nightwear so she can just crawl into bed. Once dressed, she retrieved the towel from the floor and draped it over her head. She lazily dried her hair, not really caring if it was dry or not, and pulled open the bathroom door. But the girl instantly jolted when seeing that Alucard and Sebastian were standing right outside the bathroom. The tall men stared at her nonchalantly, only expressing a look of concern and uncertainty. Seeing those looks on their faces, she knew instantly that something was wrong, but what? Seras furrowed her brows at them. "What's wrong?" She asked as she proceeded to rub the towel over her head.

"I have an unusual question for you." Sebastian spoke, but his gaze immediately flickered to her torso to avoid her gaze. To her, it seemed he was a little embarrassed to ask this question he had. But that didn't sound right to her. She's never known him to be bashful about anything.

"Okay?" She drawled while she gave both men a peculiar look. "What is it?" His gaze met with hers once more before he finally asked what was on his mind.

"When was your last period?" The demon asked her carefully causing the little human's eyes to widen. Her pale face darkened a little with a faint pink blush on her cheek.

"That is a weird question." Seras murmured. "About three weeks ago…I think." Straightaway, Alucard and Sebastian glanced at each other from the corner of their eyes. This answer didn't ease them at all. For one thing, she was unsure of when she last had her period. And even if she was absolutely sure that it started three weeks ago, that means that she should have another the following week. But there was no way in hell Alucard and Sebastian were just going to sit by and wait. Not when a little monster was growing inside her. "Why?" Their mate asked, earning their attention once more. Silently, Sebastian held out his hand. The little human's eyes flickered down to see him handing her a thin box. "What's this?" She asked as she hesitantly took it and looked at it carefully. As soon as she read the words 'at home pregnancy test', her eyes widened and her heart skipped a beat. "Sebastian!" Seras exclaimed as she looked back up at the guilty looking males. "What the hell?! You're kidding me, right?!"

"There's a chance that you might be pregnant." Sebastian told her. They could see the fear and panic seeping into her eyes.

"You think that's why I've been getting sick?!" Seras questioned loudly as she glanced back at the box. Her heart was racing and she was starting to feel sick to her stomach again. The girl grimaced at the box. "I'm not ready to be a mum! I'm nineteen! I was just starting to live my life! I wasn't even expecting to find a husband until I was at least twenty-five or thirty! And now I might be pregnant?! This is moving way too fast!" Her panic-stricken eyes flickered back to their faces. "If you guys knew that you were capable of getting me pregnant, then how come we didn't use condoms?!" Seras asked them. "Were you guys purposely trying to get me pregnant?!"

"No," Alucard answered. "We didn't purposely try to get you pregnant."

"Seras, we don't normally have sex with humans. So Alucard and I have no need for condoms. It didn't cross our minds to use them with you." Sebastian added. The girl clicked her tongue in frustration while she gave them a hard look.

"From now on, we're using condoms!" The small, frightening blonde exclaimed as she pointed a 'threatening' finger at them. She then angrily gripped the box and brought it to her face to read the instructions.

"Are you mad with us?" The demon asked curiously as he watched her read quietly.

"I don't know." Seras admitted. "I'm annoyed, but…I can't be mad because…using protection was part of my responsibility too. I just…I didn't think you guys could get me pregnant because we're so…different. I mean, I'm human and you guys…Well, you know what I mean." She then sighed and lowered the box to look back at them. "I'm sorry I yelled." She whispered with a slight frown on her lips. "I'm just…worried that…I might be pregnant. I want kids, I do, just not right now. I'm sorry,"

"We understand," Sebastian whispered with a nod. "You don't need to apologize to us, Seras." The girl sighed deeply and lowered her head. She gave herself a few seconds to gather her bearings. She then held up the box and waved it gently.

"Let me…go take the test." Seras muttered. She sounded and looked so defeated before she stepped back into the bathroom. The door closed behind her. Even though the males knew they wouldn't get an immediate response, they both waited anxiously outside the door. It wasn't long before Seras was back. The blank pregnancy test rested on the vanity, making each of them antsy with impatience. "We'll have to wait five minutes for the result." Seras whispered, but she didn't dare take her eyes off of that test. It was as if she was expecting it to change before her very eyes at any second. Eventually, the girl gave up on that hope. With a sigh, she shifted her head to look back up at her mates. "What…are we going to do if I'm pregnant?" She asked them softly. Before they could utter a word, she lightly shook her head. "As much as I am against being a mum so young…I don't think I can go through with an abortion."

"We would never ask you to." Sebastian assured her.

"Then what are we going to do?" She asked again, looking so lost and even scared.

"Why do you look so troubled, my dear girl?" Alucard whispered. He loosely wrapped his arms around her lower back and pulled her towards him. Seras willingly fell into his hug. She rested her head on his chest as she wrapped her arms around him the best she could.

"Do you guys even…want this?" She asked, sounding so uncertain.

"Don't think for a second that Michaelis and I would abandon you." The No Life King breathed. Her arms tightened around him. A tender smile slipped on his lips while his thumb stroked over a small area of her back.

"It's definitely a surprise," Sebastian chuckled. "But we told you the life we wish to have with you. If children are a part of that life, then so be it. Alucard and I will tackle fatherhood head on." Seras gave an endearing little giggle as she buried her face in Alucard's chest.

"This life doesn't have to be a nightmare, Seras." Alucard whispered. "You don't have to be afraid of it. The pregnancy may have been unexpected…but I do believe that good can come out of it."

"Alucard?" Seras whispered. His bride tilted her head back to peek up at him. His smile only widened when meeting her gaze.

"Think about your child, Seras. Think about the eyes she could possess, the small curls on the top of her head, and her chubby little hands. Think about her first smile or her first laugh. Or the way she looks at you whenever you walk into the room." Alucard attempted to soothe his bride. "You may be young, but I believe that you would be a good mother; a kind mother. In her hour of need, you will be the parent she will go to. You will be her confidant and her savior when she's afraid that her fathers might kill her." The vampire chuckled, earning another sweet giggle from his mate. Slowly, a small smile appeared on her lips. "Can you see the little pink bassinet with our cooing child?" Sebastian marveled at the bright look that was now on their bride's face. It bewildered him how Alucard was able to persuade their mate so easily that having a child wasn't all bad. Even knowing how the vampire truly felt about the child growing in their mate's womb, the demon could actually see a glint of longing and happiness in the old vampire's eyes. Was Alucard not only convincing Seras, but also himself, that having a child would be a good thing? "This flat may be a bit small for four people though. If you wish, we can move to the manor. The baby can have her own room and you can decorate it any way you like. Pink walls, white crib…"

"A bat baby mobile?" Seras snickered. Alucard chuckled as his tender smile manifested in to a large grin.

"Whatever your heart desires," The No Life King purred to his queen. He then leaned down to press his lips gingerly to hers. After their lips parted, he lovingly stroked her hair. "Don't worry so much about this pregnancy, Seras. You're not losing anything. You're gaining something; something you will love deeply."

And when do you tell her that tonight may be the night she becomes a vampire, Alucard? Sebastian questioned him with an annoyed look. Don't think I haven't noticed that you've been keeping that information from her; that the child could kill her if she remained mortal.

Why upset her further? It will be told to her only after we find out if she's pregnant. If she's not pregnant, there's no reason to tell her what we had planned. Alucard replied.

"It's best not to get your hopes up." The demon spoke. Seras glanced over at him curiously. "You may not be pregnant, Seras."

"I know, Sebastian." The little human whispered with a small nod of her head. "Maybe it's wrong, but I still hope that I'm not pregnant. But…if I am…there's nothing wrong with that. We'll work through it and be okay in the end." The demon gave her a soft, encouraging smile. Their mate then took a deep breath and slowly let the air out through her mouth. "I love you guys," She whispered finally to them. Simultaneously, Alucard and Sebastian's eyes widened when hearing those words come from their bride. It was the first time she had ever said it to them. Their hearts started to beat wildly in their chests.

"Seras," The No Life King purred her name. His fingers left her hair to stroke down her cheek. Such a dark blush appeared on her face.

"I do, I love you guys." She repeated. "And…I hope we're together for a long time." There was a spark in the males' eyes. A chill went down the little human's spine when the monsters were suddenly grinning at her. "I guess it's time to check the results then, huh?" She whispered as she stepped out of Alucard's arms. But she couldn't find the courage to even glance at the pregnancy test. She just smiled sheepishly up at her mates. "A pink plus means…I'm pregnant. And a negative…Well, you guys know." She laughed.

"Is it positive or negative?" Alucard asked. Seras turned on her heel and hesitantly picked up the test. Not a second later, the little human spun around with such a big smile on her face.

"Negative!" She exclaimed, looking so relieved. The males audibly sighed when hearing that. "God!" She placed a hand on her racing heart. "That was a good scare! I can't believe…" The girl trailed off. Quite suddenly that bright and relieved look left her eyes. The smile slowly slipped from her face. It wasn't long before Alucard and Sebastian actually saw depression in the girl's eyes. The poor girl looked like she was about to cry as she stared at that negative symbol on her pregnancy test. Was their mate disappointed that she wasn't pregnant, even after what she had said? Those sad blue eyes flickered up to their faces. "What's wrong with me?" Seras asked them in a whisper.

"Pardon?!" Sebastian exclaimed and he drew his head back in shock from that question. What was his mate on about? Why did she think there was something wrong with her?

"What's wrong with me?" She repeated as she looked back at the pregnancy test. And then the tears appeared. Her eyes watered, blinding and stinging at her eyes, but no tears shed. Not yet at least. "We've been having unprotected sex for two weeks. Shouldn't I be…" She trailed off once more.

"There's nothing wrong with you, Seras." Alucard whispered. His heartstrings were being torn from that look his bride was giving. He felt useless, mostly because he didn't know what to say to her. He wasn't confident that something wasn't wrong with Seras. He didn't know if there was or not. But he hated seeing her in this state.

"I thought you didn't want to get pregnant." Sebastian reminded her. Her gaze lowered to stare glumly at the floor.

"Well, not right now…but…What if I can never get pregnant? I don't want that. I want to be a mum in the future." Seras whispered. Their little mate then placed a hand on the side of her stomach.

"Are you feeling sick again?" The demon asked as his eyes flickered between her face and her stomach. Seras lightly shook her head.

"I was shot when I was younger. Could…that be the cause?" She wondered out loud. The little human jumped when the demon took her hand. Seras' eyes flickered back to his face to see him giving her a sympathetic look.

"Seras," Sebastian whispered. He pulled her hand away from her stomach. "You will be a mother someday."

"Even if you are unable to bear children, it can be fixed." Alucard assured her. But Seras didn't look comforted at all. She proceeded to frown. Her eyes flickered back to stare at that pregnancy test that told her she wasn't pregnant…and may never be able to get pregnant. "When you become a vampire, you'll be born anew, like phoenix. You won't have a single scar on your body. You will be able to have children." It took a while for those words to have an effect on their bride. As she stared at that negative result, a small smile slipped back on her face.

"Alright," She whispered a second later. Deciding to forget about the pregnancy test, Seras lowered it and she looked back up at her mates. "I…won't worry about it then. Thanks," Her hand slipped from Sebastian's as she turned to throw the test away in the rubbish bin in the bathroom. "So," The little human started back up as she swept back around to look at them. They were slightly bewildered to see a little grin on their mate's face. "You imagined us having a little girl, Alucard?" Seras whispered sweetly. The small blonde swayed forward, stood up on her tip toes, and wrapped her arms around Alucard's neck. The vampire wrapped his arm securely around her lower back.

"That's all I could picture." The No Life King purred to his queen. He declined his head to brush his lips over hers. "Small, delicate, and absolutely gorgeous, just like her mother."

"That's sweet," The little human whispered under her breath before she placed a light kiss on his lips. "Maybe one day,"

"One day," Alucard agreed softly. His bride stepped back out of his arms. "I suppose it's safe to say that you have the flu then." Sebastian was quick to place the back of his hand against her cheek.

"You're still very warm." The demon commented. "You should probably get into bed. You will also need plenty of fluids. What would you like to drink?"

"Nothing," Seras muttered with a shake of her head. "I'm just going to go to bed and get some sleep." She gingerly pushed Sebastian's hand from her cheek so she could walk past him.

"Seras, drinking something will help with the illness. I could make you some hot tea. Even a glass of water should suffice. Whatever it is you need, I'll get it." Sebastian lectured her as the girl crawled into her bed.

"Actually," Seras whispered before she turned to sit herself on her mattress. The smile was gone from her face once more and she looked deadly serious. Those solemn eyes flickered back to their faces.

"What is it?" The demon questioned as he and Alucard approached her.

"I just…" The girl trailed off but only to tear her gaze from theirs. She instead glanced down at her hands as they were nervously being wrung in her lap. "I wanted to talk to you guys about something."

"Yes?" Sebastian asked with an arched brow. What could she be so nervous about?

"What will happen after I become a vampire?" Seras asked a question that completely blindsided Alucard and Sebastian. Both males' eyes widened and the demon's head drew back in bafflement. They hadn't believed that Seras actually thought about the life she will have with them after she became a vampire. It was a surprise, but it also delighted them that she took this matter so seriously; that she was so serious about it that she thought about it occasionally. And now she was willing to discuss the matter with them.

"What are you asking us exactly, Seras?" Alucard asked carefully.

"I mean…our living status and…my job and friends; our life. What's going to happen? How much of it is going to change? Will…I have to go into hiding or will I have to fake my own death? Or…can I continue living like I do and continue going to work? What's going to happen after I become a vampire?" Seras asked before those precious eyes flickered back up to meet their gazes. "Have you guys thought about it at all? Or am I the only one?"

"Of course we've thought about this. Alucard and I have even discussed it on several occasions. You're not alone, Seras." Sebastian assured her.

"Then what's going to happen?" Their nervous mate asked. The demon seated himself on the foot of her bed.

"What do you want to happen?" He asked her.

"I don't know," Seras admitted in a whisper and she lightly shrugged her shoulders. The little human lowered her head to look back at her hands.

"Let's start simple. Where would you like to live? Would you like to travel or do you wish to stay in London?" Sebastian asked her. The corner of her lip curled to form a small smile. She again shrugged her shoulders.

"I would kind of like to stay in London for a while." She answered softly before looking back at him. "All of my friends are still here. But…traveling does sound nice."

"Where would you want to go?" Alucard asked with a toothy grin. He came up to lean against her wall next to her bed.

"I don't know," She repeated again. "There are so many places we could visit." Seras then licked over her lips. "Maybe we could start in Rome or Greece." The girl then lightly shook her head. "But if we were to travel, I think we should hold off on it; for a year or two at least."

"How come?" Sebastian questioned and he placed his hand on her thigh.

"I guess until I get my bearings being a vampire. Maybe give me some time to…say goodbye to my friends. Life as a vampire seems kind of uncoordinated so…who knows how long it will be until I see them again." Seras responded.

"You would always have Elena." Alucard reminded her. Their bride's smile widened.

"I know," She whispered. "And I'm grateful for that."

"Since you don't want to travel immediately, what do you want to do? Do you wish to stay here in your little flat? Or do you wish to move into the manor? We could finish restoring it. Or perhaps you wish to move into a house?" Sebastian asked her, fishing for answers from her.

"Where do you guys wish to move to?" Seras asked them.

"Now, I asked you that, mon chaton." The demon snickered.

"I like my flat, but I'm willing to move anywhere you guys want to." Their mate responded with a warm, tender smile. Cool fingers wrapped around her chin to tilt her head back. Seras' blue irises met with Alucard's red eyes.

"Perhaps you'll want a villa in Italy, my dear queen." The monster whispered to her.

"Or maybe a stone cottage in the open countryside of Sweden?" Sebastian added as he moved closer towards her. Alucard's thumb brushed along her bottom lip.

"Wherever you'll go, we'll go." The No Life King promised her. His fingers brushed over her chin before he crossed his arms over his chest.

"What about my job? I've wanted to be a police officer for so long. Do I have to give it up after becoming a vampire?" Seras asked them.

"I want you to continue doing what you love, but it would be risky, Seras." Sebastian told her. "What if something happens? What if you get shot or stabbed? You will mysteriously heal in seconds without a scratch on you. People will start to speculate what you are. Not to mention, all the abilities you will possess when you've a vampire; one slip up in front of the humans and who knows how they will react. It's best to stay safe for now." Seras lowered her head.

"I guess that makes sense." She muttered, though it was clear to them that she was disappointed.

"I know you had your heart set on being an officer." The demon whispered as he stroked over her hair. "I'm sorry, that's the one thing we can't give to you. But is there another career you would love to pursue? Perhaps you have a backup that you would equally be happy with?" The girl frowned while she glanced up at him.

"I don't know." She whispered.

"If you're so passionate about criminal justice then maybe we can find another career in that area for you. How about a crime scene investigator or a jail screener? Forensic psychologist? Or maybe even a lawyer?" Sebastian suggested to her.

"Whatever you wish to become, we could always put you through college so you get the education you need for that profession." Alucard assured her.

"I don't really want to talk about this anymore." Seras spoke and she shook her head lightly. "But thanks,"

"Then get some rest." The demon ordered softly. He then leaned in to kiss her temple. "I love you, Seras." The little human shifted her head so he was pressing his lips to her forehead. Her fingers curled around his hand to hold onto it tightly.

"I love you, too." She whispered. Seras then moved in closer towards the demon. The little human crawled into his lap and curled up against his body. Instinctively, he wrapped his arms around her to keep her steady. She buried her face in his throat then as she closed her eyes, looking for comfort.

"Seras?" Sebastian spoke, wondering what had bothered her.

"Can we just stay like this for a moment?" Seras asked him in a whisper. "I don't want you to leave me yet."

"We're not going anywhere." The demon promised her. "You're not planning to go anywhere, are you?" He asked, wondering if Seras was having doubts about them.

"No," The little human whispered. She breathed in his scent deeply, taking in that sweet scent of faint vanilla. "I hope not." She added a few seconds later, worrying the males.

"Seras," Sebastian whispered her name. "What is wrong? You're shaking." He noted.

"I don't want to talk about it." The girl murmured as she wrapped an arm around his neck and buried her face further into his hard chest.

"What are you scared of?" Alucard questioned. But she didn't answer. She stayed pressed up against the demon, hiding away from the rest of the world, or at least trying to.

"Seras, please, talk to us." Sebastian begged of her lightly.

"Will I still be the same after I become a vampire?" Their mate asked. "Or will I be a soulless monster who only wants to kill and shed blood? Will the hunger…take control of me? Will I lose…my sanity?" Her shaking only got worse. She fisted the demon's shirt as she held onto him tightly. "I don't want to be a different person. I don't want to forget that I love you both so much." The room was so quiet as she waited anxiously for an answer. Alucard slowly approached his quivering bride to stroke over her head, hoping to soothe her. They had no answers for her. The way Seras acts after she becomes a vampire is completely up to her. She could lose control and become a hungry, uncontrollable monster. She could let the lust for blood take over her life. But…she could also remain the same. She could still be their innocent, loving and caring Seras. Even if she became a cruel monster, they wouldn't stop loving her and she wouldn't stop loving them. They would proceed to follow her to the ends of the earth and for the rest of eternity.

"Don't worry about such things." Sebastian whispered as he buried his nose into her hair. Such a look of pain swelled in his eyes from the thought of Seras never being the same again after her transformation. "We'll always be with you. Now, go to sleep and forget about this discussion."
