Part 1.
"Bella"
Li felt a pang of guilt in her chest watching Guile propose while on bended knee, knowing fully well how crushed he would feel if rejected.
'I just don't think I'm ready for this. Not only that but, I don't think I love him.'
She let out a soft sigh while averting her gaze as their allies looked onward, filled with anticipation.
"Guile, I'm sorry but I don't think this is the right time. I can't accept your proposal."
Her hand withdrew when walking somberly back to the car, expression as stern as ever. He slowly stood himself taking a moment to regain composure. Ken and Ryu patted him on the back both giving reassurance.
"Don't worry bud, she just needs time."
"We did recently experience a traumatic event. I think it's affecting all of us."
Abel nodded in agreement, walking on ahead and opening the car door for Guile.
"After a few drinks, you'll feel better. I think we all could use some, right?"
Guile forced a small smile his friends way giving a short reply.
"Thanks guys but I think I'd rather go home."
Abel just shrugged while starting up the car. Ken let Elsa know he wouldn't be home too late while Ryu bid his partner goodbye for the time being. Cammy and Lin asked Li what was wrong since she didn't seem her usual confident self.
"Li, this isn't like you. I thought for sure you'd say yes!"
Cammy piped in voicing her own thoughts.
"You two seemed happy together. Threw me off guard, that's for certain."
"Don't worry, I think I just need time to recover. I think we all do..."
Lin helped her into the back seat before starting her jeep up, waiting for the others to go ahead of them since they were already pulling out.
"Yeah, and I think the best way to do that is a girls night out!"
Her friends were in agreement but she seemed to be the only one wanting space. She gave a casual shrug as the vehicle slowly accelerated into motion.
"I think it's better if I had some time alone. Perhaps we can do this some other time."
"Okay, suit yourself girl but we will be checking up on you frequently."
She gave a small smile to Lin, leaning against the seat.
'The moment seemed so right but I don't feel the same way. I thought I did and now...I'm unsure how I feel.'
For whatever reason, one face continued to recur in her thoughts while dozing off- Vega.
Li nearly fell asleep in the car before getting back to her apartment, not feeling right about staying with Guile. Her two friends offered their places to stay and were met with refusal. She reassured them that by the next day she'd be able to find another place. Both reluctantly parted, telling her that they'd call first thing in the morning. While standing on the steps she waved then turned to enter. Before entering she felt a brisk chill in the air. Both arms instinctively wrapped around her tempting figure hearing the two speed away. She nearly looked back but thought better of it. Something just didn't feel right.
'I wonder if I'm just over-thinking things but I could have sworn someone walked by...I must really need sleep more than I thought.'
She rushed up to her room, hurriedly unlocking the door then locking it back again, half surprised that it hadn't been occupied or still under investigation. Everything was left the way it was before. Relief washed over when looking at where the bloodstains previously were, noticing how the bedroom looked nearly immaculate along with the newly repaired window. She carelessly stripped down to her underwear, falling face first onto the bed. Her clothes laid strewn about on the floor, the sound of both cars and crickets filling her ears, lulling the weary woman to sleep.
Right then a lean figure silently made its way past the windows, skillfully unlocking the small latch. He briefly loomed over her still figure watching as she peacefully slept just like before.
"Why you would ever return here escapes me, bella..."
Although his whisper was faint, it still sounded loud enough to cause her to stir. She let out a groan when turning onto her side clutching the nearby pillow for some sort of relief. Much to his astonishment she began moaning albeit not in distress. He arched a brow while watching this unusual behavior contemplating what his next move should be. He could either hurry in completing his personal objective or wait to see what might happen. Either way, the current situation intrigued him.
"Yes...Uhh."
Moans were repeated for a minute til the once stirring figure lie still once more, moving back onto her stomach. He very much wanted to help her out with whatever fantasy played through her mind but after what he did, that likely wouldn't happen willingly; despite making an effort to explain himself only yesterday. He doubted she believed anything he'd said or would say henceforth for that matter.
A coy smirk played at his lips when unable to contain urges of his own any longer. With gentlemotions he positioned himself on top of her, brushing thick chestnut locks to the side. He almost began to touch her then quickly decided against it, laying down beside her instead. After observing her during the first stages of sleep he remained still when something completely unexpected occured.
One of her arms draped over him as she softly moaned into his ear. The moan was inaudible at first but the second one he clearly understood. Vega.
'She's actually fantasizing about...me?'
His head tilted in amusement fixated on his constant obsession. Without any thought he removed his mask placing the item carefully onto the ground. He couldn't resist any longer and chose to caress her face as he edged closer, his lips meeting hers at last. Her eyes slowly fluttered open meeting his, vision changing from blurry to clear. She didn't try and fight back like he expected her to...All she did was lie there, stunned that he actually came back. After a brief momentary silence passed she spoke in a whisper.
"Did you really mean what you had said before?"
It sounded so innocent, so pure.
"Of course I had, bella. I could never kill you because I love you a great deal. I want you so badly, Li...Are you going to prolong my torture by making me wait any longer?"
She slowly sat up, rubbing strained temples almost thinking this to still be a dream.
"What happened can't be erased, Vega. You hurt me so badly that I-"
Arms embraced her from behind as he spoke lowly, his tone pleading.
"Then let me heal you, Li. Give me a chance to show my love for you. I heard how you called out for me only moments before. You want me too, isn't that right?"
His lips rubbed against an enflamed cheek until the embrace suddenly broke. She shook him off with little effort, looking over her shoulder with a cross expression. He made no effort to restrain.
"I want you gone by the time I'm finished in the bathroom."
"Oh? While you fantasize about me even more in there?"
She faced him with arms crossed, scowling.
"I mean it Vega. You need to leave."
"And if I refuse?"
He came forward on his knees while on the bed then strode over, crossing his arms as well. She gave a fierce glare when peering into those deep sapphire eyes, refusing to take no for an answer herself.
"Then I'll have no other choice but to make you."
"Ah, will you now bella?
He walked backwards with a wicked grin, sitting back down on the bed.
"I can't wait to see this."
She scoffed, waving a hand at him in dismissal. He patiently waited for her to return choosing to surprise Li with his next stunt. She paced in the bathroom debating whether it really was wise to fight again.
'Maybe I should just let him have his fun then be finished. Hopefully he'll leave afterwards...I'd rather not have a repeat of last time anyway.'
She kept her eyes closed exiting the bathroom and coming back to him with arms still crossed. They opened in shock upon hearing a seductive giggle finding the now welcomed intruder laying down naked with his head wresting on a hand.
"Should I still leave?"
A heavy blush painted her face wanting to avert her gaze yet failing miserably. His body looked more than pleasing and it seemed he only wished to bring her pleasure. Perhaps she would let him stay after all.
She remained speechless as the mere sight of him drew her closer feeling helpless to his will. Her lips parted trying to form some sort of coherent response but nothing came out. He tauntingly beckoned her over, gently pulling her close the moment she came near. Her eyes shut tightly once more out of anxiety unable to face what was to come. Part of her wanted this to be a dream and the other part felt differently. He softly rubbed both her arms while giving light kisses, moaning with need.
"Chun-Li, you know what we both want...I'm right here, offering myself to you. Can't you forgive me? I would never take your life, believe me, please."
She let out a whimper when pulling away, breaking their embrace once more.
"Please just go! You can't take back the pain you caused!"
She practically screamed at him while standing at the beds side, tears streaming down. He understood this to be done out of fear, wanting nothing more than to take this pain away but if that's what she really wanted then he didn't wish to cause any more.
"Li, I'm truly sorry. Just know that I love you."
He turned to begin dressing then leave the same way he entered only to be prevented by a hand firmly gripping his wrist. He faced her with a quick turn confusion painting his features.
"What happened to-"
She pulled him down to her level, kissing with intense passion, breaking the embrace quickly after.
"Why did you hurt me so badly Vega?"
She rested her head against his chest simultaneously balling both fists at her side.
"What can I do to gain your forgiveness? Tell me Li and I'll do it...Anything."
He gently caressed her back while looking downwards.
"Prove that you love me by taking me to your current residence. I know you have to at least have one main hideout."
"That is an issue since my current one had been in Spain. However, circumstances changed when I went with Bison to his underwater facility."
"How are you still alive? What about the others? I could have sworn they died."
"We are still living, thanks to Bahtus. He isn't as bad as you may think."
"But what about what Diathus and Dianthos had said?"
"They did try their hardest to contain us, however, Bahtus swiftly overpowered them. We can go to Spain if you wish but we must do so with discretion. I'm not exactly wanted for good reasons in this country."
"That's fine then. I want to leave by tomorrow. First, I want you to start healing my wounds."
She lied back onto the bed, seductively waving him over this time. Without any hesitation he mounted her, lips meeting hers with intense urgency yet again. He began rubbing himself against her inner thigh only to unexpectedly lower his face down near forbidden territory seconds later.
"I won't do this unless you want me to."
"Why do you think I wanted to wait until tomorrow to go?"
He smirked then removed her underwear, tenderly stroking both legs while licking around her most sensitive place. Moonlight dimly illuminated their figures barely making the two visible.
"Please Vega, I want you...I want to feel you."
He gave a small chuckle, his focus shifted on what both desired. His tongue made her toes curl as she ran lithe fingers through loose hair. With a soft pull of hair even his moans increased, his free hand beginning to provide self pleasure while the other supported her leg. Both legs entrapped him wrapping around focused shoulders. He didn't stop unless hearing otherwise only wanting to bring her pleasure.
"Tell me when you're ready or if I need to stop. The decision is yours."
She guided his face back to its original spot wanting him to bring the ultimate pleasure.
"You know what I want baby...So give it to me."

"Vega...I want to do more but I think we should wait until marriage. You'll really have to prove that you truly love me."

He placed a light kiss on her forehead, holding her til they both drifted off to sleep. He could have sworn she muttered "I love you too" but couldn't be for certain since it came out quietly.
