"Why are you doing this?"

"Héctor left us for good. He wants to forget about us, we'll forget about him."

Ceci steps in front of Imelda as she furiously storms around the house.

"Héctor would never do that!" Ceci cries defensively. "You're talking about your husband."

Imelda steps around her, yelling as she walks into the living room. "Yes, my husband who also happens to be amigos with someone who hates me. I told Héctor not to go with Ernesto, but he didn't listen."

Ceci watched as Imelda grabbed pictures of her and Héctor together and started ripping them. She tore at them with rage, crumpling them up and throwing them away.

"What are you doing?!" Ceci shouts.

Imelda walks up to her, giving her a hard stare. "If Héctor wants to leave us and never come back, fine. I'm making sure no one brings up his name again."

As Imelda starts to rip another photo, Ceci grabs her arm.

"You're being ridiculous. Héctor loves you."

Imelda rolls her eyes and huffs. "If he loved me, than he would've stayed with me." She goes back to ripping. Fast, quick, she makes sure Héctor's face is not in any of the pictures in the house.

Ceci looks around and spies a few that Imelda hasn't come across yet. Leaving her amiga alone with her fury, she strides over to those pictures and picks them up.

In one of them, Héctor, Ceci, and Imelda are standing side-by-side, with Héctor in the middle, Imelda on the left, and Ceci on the right. All three are smiling, wearing fancy clothes as they stare at the camera.

The next one startles her a little. Héctor isn't smiling. In fact, his face is blank and his eyes are narrowed. He stands next to Ernesto with an arm around him in a protective gesture.

Ceci hides them in her dress pocket as Imelda walks over and stands next to her. She glares at their family picture as she takes it, the one with Héctor, Imelda, and Coco.

Imelda takes it out of it's frame and starts to tear.

Ceci gasps. "No!"

Imelda stops and looks at her strangely. "I'm only getting rid of Héctor's face. The rest of it can stay the same."

Ceci widens her eyes. "Are you loco? What if he finds out?"

"He doesn't care." Imelda returns her gaze to the picture. "He left us for good. His only interest is playing his music for an audience." Imelda sneers as she rips some more. "Stupid músico. I should've known. Music gets the best of him, he forgets all about his familia."

Once she successfully rips it, she throws Héctor's face away. Then she folds back the part of the picture that includes Héctor's guitar.

Ceci watches in horror. Then Imelda notices what Ceci is hiding.

She reaches for them, but Ceci stops her.

"You've done enough ranting for one day," she says, her words clipped.

Imelda gapes at her before composing herself and holding out her hand. "Give them to me, Ceci."

That's when Ceci gets an idea. She regards Imelda sternly. "I will take care of these for you. I'll tear them myself. You, on the other hand, need to calm down."

Imelda sighs and throws up her hands. "They're my photos, Ceci."

Ceci shakes her head. "Not anymore. Now, I'll rip these up for you, and you go get some rest."

Imelda growls but gives no other protest as she heads to her room.

Once Imelda is gone, Ceci leaves and heads to her house. She finds her sister's old set of matches and lights one of them.

"Sorry, mi amigo."

She burns the last two pictures regretfully, watching as Héctor's face melts to ash along with the rest of it.
