"Why aren't they scared?"
Indeed, the battle below had stopped and both sides of the the conflict were staring up at him in amazement. Without any warning Toothless flew straight up and merged into the clouds.
"Wha-What are you doing! We need to stay down there! They weren't scared!"
"Ill explain everything later for now just listen to me."
Hiccup felt like he needed to argue, but something in Toothless's voice (was it a voice? Or something else?) made Hiccup reconsider his decsion and keep his mouth shut.
They flew in silence, the uncharateristic urgency emanating from Toothless cowing Hiccup from making the start of any conversation, and least of all asking any of the questions he had. He looked around at the ground and saw an incoming shore, it was huge, an inconceivable amount of times bigger than Berk's own shore. Hiccup had heard stories about islands so big you couldn't get to the ocean without traveling for days. The thought of such huge landforms was both humbling and scary to Hiccup.
"So Toothless." Toothless looked back over to Hiccup as if warning him to tread carefully with his next words. Hiccup changed his question and instead asked:
"Do you know where your going?"
"I've decided to take a leaf out of your book, and I'm just flying in a random direction."
Hiccup was about to reply until the pair crossed the rocky shores. The ocean seemed to end abruptly, faced down by stone behomoths. Hiccup and Toothless circled the cliffs protruding out of the sky.
"Wow."
Hiccup couldn't stop looking around. They continued past the shores, and started to see some settlements located on the outskirts of the mainland. The designs of the homes, just like the ships, were unique and never before seen by Hiccup. His analytical mind unconciously started to document their construction.
They continued till they got to the main city.
"No way. No way am I seeing this right now, no way."
An incredible city rose out of the green landscape surrounding it. It had huge walls, seemingly being made completely with stone. There were guard towers located on the tops of the walls, and the entryway was bigger than Hiccup's house back at Berk. There were guards patrolling every part of the battlements carrying spears and all bearing a red insignia with a sword pointed to their hearts. Hiccup silently urged Toothless to fly higher and finally, the city came into sight.
Hiccup sucked in his breath, not trusting himself to speak. There were hundreds-no-thousands, of houses, buildings, and people. So many people. They were bustling around buying from small shacks on the street sides, traveling up and down the cobbled streets in a endless loop. From Hiccup's height, the people looked as small as ants, the houses like playthings, and the walls like blocks, but still the whole scene inspired an epic sense of awe in him.
"Tethoris!"
"What did you say Toothless?"
"The city-Its Tethoris!"

The memory seemed to burst forward into my mind. The wall that had built itself in the back of my mind suddenly giving way-but just for a second. I had been here, not recently, no. The memory was old, I was but a hatchling. Maybe even younger. I hadn't seen the city, but I had felt it. The energy of the people, the adrenaline of the street two-legs running after stealing their food. The worries of the poor and rich, and the most memorable, the wide array of smells. What I didn't understand, was the fact of how I had gotten so close to the city without being hunted. Hiccup was asking me something, but I continued to ponder the confusion at hand. Suddenly, it made sense.
I had still been in my egg, something or someone could've snuck me throughout the city, it would also explain the lack of sight in my memory. I was still hovering midair when the world around me came back into focus.
"TOOTHLESS! What happened? Hello?!"
"Yes?"
"What happened?"
"Nothing, I'm fine."
I knew Hiccup was about to argue with me, and I went into a deep dive.
"Tooth- AHHHHHHHHHH!"

Hiccup immediately regan control of himself and the flight and and pulled Toothless back into the sky. Once they were back into the cover of the clouds, Hiccup looked down at Toothless.
"We could've been seen!"
"Listen Hiccup, I know you probably think me stupid, but I'm not. We were far enough away to seem like birds."
Hiccup grumbled but stayed quiet.
"So what now? What are we going to do?"
"You know, I didn't really think about what I would do if I got this far, but I did know I would train myself to be a better fighter and not a weak-"
"DON'T call yourself a weakling."
"Ok fine! We need somewhere to stay, especially you, you won't be able to go into the city. There are plenty of forests around, I'm sure we can find a Cove 2.0. I will explore the city, it'll have the necessities we will need, and who knows, maybe even a simple swordsman who'll teach me how to atleast hunt for myself."
"Sounds good, right now I'm starving, we cut our food time short when we found the ships."
Hiccup agreed, and they turned around, heading for any of the surrounding forests.

Hiccup was trying to stay awake. He had defininetly over-eaten spurred on by both the distance between him and Berk, and the incredible city that lay just a few miles to the east from their spot. As Hiccup was just about to doze off, he remebered the events of the morning that day.
"Hey Tooth?"
"Yes?"
"Why did we leave those ships?"
Toothless seemed to consider his reply carefully.
"I don't exactly know. It just seemed that before we fully revealed ourselves, we should know more about the world we were entering."
"But why were you so tense, and, well- alarmed?"
"It just felt like if we stayed, something bad could've happened. Something very bad."

On the other side of the huge landmass, thousands of leagues away, a guard rushed into a beautiful throne room.
"Sir, I have important news!"
An imposing, powerful looking man replied from atop a throne. He looked like the perfect king, but there was a hidden piercing cruelty in his gaze.
"What is it?"
"I have found another Dragon Rider!"
The king looked down at his servant. Without showing any signs of effort he pierced the soldier's mind, ignoring his screams. He reviewed the memories and smirked.
"Have them brought to me."
