A/N: There is one chapter left to go in this little tale!

I do hope you all enjoy this little scene into the morning of Felicity's last day at the Sentinel.

Love always,

~starr

Oliver tugged at the collar of his shirt as he waited for Felicity to return to the table with a refill of her coffee. He had lost track of the number of mornings the two of them had spent in this coffee shop since they met, and only now, he was nervous spending time with her. Slade's words played like a record in his mind, and there was nothing he could do to shake them. However, for now, Felicity was safe, and Oliver intended to do everything in his power to keep her that way.

"Here you go," Felicity said, interrupting his thoughts as she placed a fresh cup of coffee in front of him. She returned to her seat and took a sip of coffee. "What were you thinking so hard about over there?"

"That you still haven't given me an answer about that job offer," Oliver teased, eyeing her up and down. He smiled when he noticed her cheeks flush at the mention of working with him full time.

"Because I still haven't decided if I'm ready to give up my job at the Sentinel yet," Felicity replied, shaking her head. "I mean, with Chase gone, I stand a chance at finally getting a headline."

"A well-deserved headline," Oliver added, nodding his head slowly. "I understand. I just wanted to remind you that the offer was still good. And will still be good even after you get your first headline."

Felicity smiled, reaching up to twirl the end of her ponytail around her finger. "So," she began, carefully thinking about her words. "What does that mean for us?"

"What do you mean?" Oliver asked, furrowing his brow.

"I mean, I've got more than enough information to write an award-winning article about the young, up and coming CEO of Queen Consolidated, Oliver Queen. I don't need to pester you for information, and obviously I don't need you to save me from anything right," she laughed, worrying her lip as she looked up at him.

"Felicity," he said, reaching across the table and taking her hand in his. "Just because you aren't taking the job at Queen Consolidated doesn't mean you have to give up anything else."

A sigh of relief washed over her as a smile pulled at the corner of her lips. "Good," she stated, "I don't want to stop seeing you."

Oliver's eyes widened as the grin on his face got bigger. He loved it when she got flustered.

"That isn't what I meant," she groaned, hanging her head as she started to pull her hand away from Oliver's. She was surprised when she felt his hand wrap around hers.

"I don't want to stop seeing you either," Oliver whispered, winking at her from across the table. "Slade was right about you."

Felicity's eyes went wide, and for the first time in her life, she was completely speechless.

Oliver chuckled softly leaning back in his chair as he pulled his hand away from her. "Join me for dinner tonight. We can continue this conversation over wine and a candlelit dinner."

The only response she could give was a nod of her head. Oliver stood up from the table first and offered a hand to help her stand. He leaned in and kissed her cheek softly before pulling away. "I'll walk you to the office."
