Chapter 10
Fisk Tower 12:00 am
Yip! Yip! Yip!
That was the sound of a small dog barking as the child squeals in glee with her new pet. If Felicity ran to the left the puppy would follow happily if she ran to the right the little canine would pursue. She picked up the small German Shepard dog petting the pups head, the small canine wags its tail in excitement as it barks happily at it's being rubbed.
Lorina watches as the young girl places the young dog down, she then picks up a ball and throws it to the other end of the room, the small pup barks and runs towards the ball. The criminal's mind began to wander back to her discovery of the identity of the daughter of Felicia, stupefaction was still etched in her.
Above all the superheroes she could have ended up with it just had to be Spider-Man! That goody-two shoe wannabe (that was putting it mildly), was nothing but trouble for business sure he had a bod, a swimmer's body not too flabby nor muscular somewhere in between just the right amount. She'd be lying if she wasn't interested in him to try to get to know him a bit personally, but the guy just didn't know when to shut up. Still, spiders weren't her thing, unlike a certain platinum blonde she knew.
She glances at the clock next on top of the small dresser it was 12:01 AM. She lazily gets up from her chair and scoops up Felicity in her arms twirling her for a moment, the said girl squeals in delight.
Lorina chuckles then flop her down on the bed, "Alright, kiddo time for bed I let you play with Cuddles long enough."
Felicity gave a cute pout; she crossed her arms shaking her heads sideways. Lorina's eyebrow rose, she then lays the small girl in the bed pulling the bedsheets to her chest with her arms resting above it.
A small whine and she smirks lifting the small puppy then placed the small dog next to her. The small dog lays its head on her stomach.
Felicity says, "I'm not tired Aunty Lorina."
"Get some sleep sweetie, please? For me?" She kissed the small girl on the forehead, when she got comfortable, Lorina watched as her breathing evened out signaling that indeed Felicity was fast asleep. The older woman smiles, then a bang on the door. She frowns, the reality sinks in, she is in the custody of the King Pin of Crime of New York she will have to step on eggshells so to speak. One false move could mean the end for her or worse.
A loud banging on the door, Lorina's eyes narrowed. Felicity stirred but didn't wake, when she answered a goon from Hammer Head or King Pin she was greeted with, "King Pin would like to have a word with you."
The strawberry blonde woman looks back at Felicity, the goon rolls his eyes, "Nothing ain't going to happen to the little twerp now get your butt moving."
Lorina growls, she complies following the goon to the main office of the King Pin establishment. They stop in front of the double doors, the goon knocks and waits, an 'Enter' is heard. As soon as they enter the strawberry blonde finds Felicia in front of the desk of the crime boss in a chair. Lorina's eyes narrowed a bit yet she could not show any hostility towards the platinum blonde, King Pin would catch it and exploit it.
"Ah, Ms. Dodson lovely to see you again." The man says in charming delight, "Now our business can begin."
"What do you want." She is sat down forcefully next to Felicia, "I got better things to do with my time besides being a hostage."
"Very well." The King Pin of crime says, "The reason I called you here, if you are wondering, is that you are now working for me…" Lorina rolled her eyes, "As I stated to you before; you will be working closely with Electro to recover some devices for me."
"What does this have to do with Felicia?"
"Plenty, not only will you work with Electro you will be working with Ms. Hardy along with a subgroup I like to call The Syndicate." He pushes a button underneath his desk and reveals a hidden door behind a bookcase. Within the revelation of the door opening stood four females and one… hippo…?
Felicia and Lorina glanced at each other than at the group, each one was unique, to say the least. The four females, one consist of a girl wearing a pseudo panda hoodie costume that looked like a leotard. The second female was pretty much a female Beetle with the green and purple costume design, a woman well built with no mask but a costume that is skintight with the color black with the red in the rib area. The leotard covers her legs, arms, and hands and stops below her belly button then it splits in two which they could see left open a lot of skin from half of her midsection.
Felicia eyebrow lifts, "And they say I dress proactively but I do believe this girl wins the prize in that department."
"No kidding." Lorina agrees. She gets this feeling of dominatrix vibe from this woman given that she had rings floating around her arms and legs with a whip at her side.
And the…hippo… unsure of what to make of this weird man in a hippopotamus costume they gazed at his attire a white tank top, green cargo pants, combat boots though they did note despite having a muscular upper body he also had a large stomach. The final woman was in a leather jacket that was over a causal sky-blue shirt with dark sunglasses and matching black pants, and two gauntlets on each wrist.
"Allow me to introduce you ladies to your new team. Panda-Mania: Mei Sheng a Muay-Thai fighter with incredible superhuman strength able to bend steel with her bare hands." The young woman grunts in approval, "Next is The Beetle also known as Janice Lincoln…"
"Any relation to Tomb Stone?" Felicia asks
"He's my father." She replies
King Pin moves on, "The Mutant Gypsy Moth possesses the ability to mentally manipulate materials and objects with her mind. Her name Sybil Dvorak raised by gypsies, she had spent much time alone nurturing and focusing her mental abilities when her powers first appeared."
The woman gives a sultry smile sending a shiver down the spines of both Felicia and Lorina as she looks at them as eye candy. Something told them (or call it a gut feeling) to stay as far away from this woman as possible, her licking her lips with that wink along with that costume made them feel uneasy not to mention the whip.
"Trapstr, Thelma Hicks intelligent and resourceful. What she lacks in power she makes up for cunningness. Even built these gauntlets to fire a special substance that entraps enemies with a single shot." The woman cocked her gauntlets
"And finally, Mrs. Fluffy Lumpkins…"
"MY NAME IS HIPPO!" The Hippo-roared going red in embarrassment, "AND I AM DUDE! YOU WANT ME TO PROVE IT TO YOU FATTY!" The Hippo-Man grabbed his trousers ready to pull down. He to be stopped by the yelling of the female minus one.
"Ahem, my sincere apologizes, please call him Hippo." The ire in his voice noted, as he pushed another button three wall railgun locked onto his position, Hippo gulped all red dots were pointed at him "The next time you decide to raise your voice at me, I promise that these bullets will do more than graze you. It will penetrate you making you look like Swiss Cheese, do I make myself clear, Fluffy?"
"C-crystal Mr. K-king P-pin."
"Now…" He turns his attention to the ladies in front of him, "Your new suits ladies will be here shortly." He pushes another button, a tv drops and it reveals a man an incredibly old man working on the project, "Tinker, are they ready?"
The man now has his attention on the screen, "Just finishing up the final touches, I will be done shortly about 10 minutes."
"See that you make haste, we are on a tight schedule after all, and I will not miss my deadline!" The screen goes blank. "Your suit Felicia designed by the Tinkerer is made using leather material. With some armor plating around it, and is designed to increase many of your natural physical attributes far beyond normal human levels utilizing micro servers embedded into it. The same goes for you, Ms. Dodson."
Felicia was right King Pin did create a suit for her and when she gets her hands on it she will bide her time in getting back at King Pin for kidnapping her daughter, she listens as King Pin continues to speak, "The costume is both form-fitting and practical. It is equipped with a grappling hook that enables you to swing from buildings in a manner like that of Spider-Man and the glove is armed with tough, retractable diamond claws that will enable you to through most surfaces. As well we managed to also utilize electromagnetic pulse (EMP) grenades, which upon activation emits a powerful electromagnetic pulse capable of temporarily disabling electronic equipment, so security alarms, laser, and the camera should not be a problem."
Felicia nods her head, this is great now the suit will allow herself to keep up with Spider, she almost smirked at the thought, but it is better not to think on this right now not until she finds a way out of this mess. She is worried about Felicity and King Pin is not allowing any visitors she'll have to find out from Lorina shortly after this.
"As for you Ms. Dodson, your suit will be like that of Ms. Hardy the only difference you will carry a cloak which combined with the suit will make you invisible even to infrared. Your signature umbrella has been upgraded. The parasol will contain a long, thin blade hidden within the length of the parasol's tube, which can also project the blade's tip from the top end of it. The canopy of the parasol is made of an extremely dense, durable fabric that can repel bullets, allow you to use it as a shield or a glider."
"Great…" Lorina sarcastically chimed, "So Mary Poppins basically, fan-freaking-tastic."
"Hmph, your ears will be sonar ears capable of listening for three miles and will allow you to hear police scanners, so your captured is out of the question." He says as of matter of fact, "I do not tolerate failure so do not try my patience."
A few minutes later the doors opened to reveal the Tinker coming in with the new suits for Black Cat and the White Rabbit. They noticed that Felicia's suit was mostly black with the armor plating with some silver lining around, yet the suit looks flexible enough to move in along with the suit came the mask that looks cat-like with transparent lenses while Lorina suit came four separate pieces. As King Pin stated the armor suit looks sci-fi and white with a bit of rose color lining going around it with a cloak, and bunny ears, and the umbrella.
"You go and try them on. Felicia dear, why don't you go visit your daughter because this will be the only time you will get to see her." The man chuckles darkly, "Meet back here within the hour."
Felicia growls yet keeps her peace, right now Fisk has an iron grip on her, and one word is all it is going to take to harm her daughter. Once the meeting is done, they are escorted back to Lorina's room with Tinker following behind them with the gadgetry in tow. The walk back is silent, Felicia lost in her thoughts while Lorina keeps stealing glances at her friend unsure how to bring the subject of Felicity having spider-powers or even how to start the conversation.
Once inside the ex-thief eyes widen as she sees her daughter sleeping soundly in bed with a small dog next to her, Felicia was positive it was a stuffed animal however it moves its head showing it was not. The two women were pushed inside forcefully by the goons almost causing them to trip over each other.
The two glared at the henchman promising to hurt them, the Tinker comes in with the suits inside the room placing them in a corner. He quickly glances at the two then leaves without another word. Once alone in the room, Felicia quickly goes over to Felicity inspecting her. The girl sleeps oblivious to the surroundings around her.
The young mother strokes her hair giving her a quick kiss on the forehead, the young pup licks her hand. Felicia shakes her head smirking, while not a dog person she scratches the pup's head, personally, cats were more her thing.
Lorina coughs, Felicia turns to face her. Hands-on the hips, Lorina looking quite indifferent, the platinum blonde woman knew this was her we need to talk pose. After spending years with Lorina she could pick up little gestures to know when she was annoyed, happy or serious, etc. this was her serious pose.
"What?" She says in a whisper
"Nothing, just curious on how long you plan on keeping me in the dark about the father of your child," Lorina replies, she goes to the rack where the suit is and starts changing out of her clothes into the armor.
"You seriously bringing this up now?" Felicia whispers harshly, "In case you haven't noticed Lorina we are being forced to work for King Pin and I'm not in the mood to have this discussion with you!"
"Well, I am!" Lorina snapped back nearly shouting, "This is the perfect opportunity to discuss some secrets; your daughter has spider-powers!" This threw Felicia into a loop, Felicity has the powers of her father, so soon? The blonde looks at her daughter then back at Strawberry blonde, "Do you want to know how I know? When I was trying to give her a bath she was on the ceiling, the ceiling! Then I found a fork stuck to her wrist and spun webbing from her wrist, organic webbing and there is only one person from the Superhero community that can climb walls and spin webs, your baby daddy is none other than Spider-Man!"
Words were caught in her throat, she was so careful not to reveal that information to anyone, nobody would understand why she picked Spider-Man. Before she could say anything else Lorina marches over to the sleeping girl carefully lifts her left arm. "And before you even deny it look at this!"
In the lit dim room Felicia sees a white patch on her daughter's wrist, she kneels next to the bed touching the white patch with her finger. She could feel the stickiness of the patch so when she lifted it a white substance followed, or a pearly white line followed, it was confirmed she is her daughter's father.
"What in the world were you thinking!" Lorina was really trying not to raise her voice, she was dangerously getting there, "Felicia our lifestyle doesn't abode well with the ideology of those good two shoe heroes! Especially Spider-Man!"
"You gave up your life of crime for sake of Felicity Lorina!" Felicia shot back shutting her up effectively, "If it weren't for Spider-Man I wouldn't be the woman that I am today! He taught me to value all things and it's okay to take things slow occasionally and appreciate everything that I have. Something that I took…for…granted…" Felicia lost her fire, this alarmed Lorina Felicia usually was so sure of herself, now looking at Felicia she seemed lost… "I should have told him before I left, I should have said something…now I am in danger of losing him…again."
Now Lorina was genuinely concerned for her friend, she sat down on the bed next to her as she fiddled with the white substance off her hands, "What are you talking about? Felicia help me understand, I'm asking you as a friend."
She gazes at her daughter, she sighs heavily, "It's true Spider-Man is the father of Felicity and I know who he is behind the mask and NO I will not tell you who he is! That is for me to know and you never to find out!" Lorina made some gestures and mouthed 'Damnit' that information could have been useful. Well at least she is getting something out of this, "Our relationship was complicated at best with my way of thinking; I could not tolerate his civilian life at best. Often, I wondered why that life even needs to exist. I honestly did not or refused to understand why he spends time out of his costume when he could be Spider-Man all the time. It did not hit me until I found out I was having Felicity, finding romance is incredibly difficult. If you try to make it work with a civilian, you must trust them enough to reveal your double life to them and hope that they are willing to make it work. He accepted me, everything and I slapped him across the face when I told him I love the mask not man even when he was trying to help me change my ways."
Lorina winces, she could only imagine how that conversation went, "I take it that he didn't take the news well."
Felicia's shoulder sagged, "Unfortunately, no. I'll never forget the look on his face when I said this. It haunts me to this day."
"Felicia…" Lorina began, "I'm not going to pretend that I am an expert but from the time I known and seen the heist you pulled off, I can imagine how many times you left the life of crime behind for Spider-Man, but I can also imagine how many times you went back to that same life of crime. As good a hero as you might be, honestly you make a better burglar Felicia, with a combination of innate skill and training backing you up and when you have such a specific skill set and a passion for what you do, it's hard to leave that behind. But for someone as principled and morally inflexible as Spider-Man to the point of being insufferable, a relationship with a career criminal is a huge problem."
"Tell me something I don't know. I wanted to follow in my father's footsteps as a career criminal and cat burglar. Being in a relationship with Spider-Man helped me find a way from that path. I tried to go straight and become a hero, using my skills and abilities for good. I would follow Spider-Man into battle, standing beside him at some of his most difficult moments. Yet…" She pauses
"The itch was strong," Lorina concluded.
"I was afraid to tell him, if I did I would be with him."
"You really loved him."
"I do."
"Which one? The man or the mask?"
The question is like an arrow to her heart, it felt like Peter was saying it to her face and he was right she still hasn't gotten over him, The Spider at least. Now that she has Felicity will it be enough to convince him to get back together with her or will he choose to stay with that Cindy girl? She did not meet her yet and she knew it was going to be a fight for one man and this was one fight she was…no…not was…is determined to win.
Nothing else needed to be said between them. They both dressed in their respective uniforms, it was quite the change for Lorina going from a somewhat one-piece leotard get up with no legging to armor, it felt strange. Though, the bunny ears felt comfortable with the earbuds that looped around her ear lobe the downside to wearing the suit she could not wear makeup and she had a fluffy tail in the back.
"I'm going to kill that Tinker! Whose bright idea was it to add a fluffy tail I mean really!"
Felicia ignores her rant goes to Felicity gently shaking her awake, the small girl stirs then yawns as she wakes up. The puppy is now awake, also give a tired yawn, rubbing her tired eyes she sees a blur than is fully awake when she realizes who it is.
"Mommy!" She threw herself at Felicia and the older woman smiles hugging her daughter
"Hey, sweetie." She strokes her hair lightly, "How are you? Are you hurt?" The smaller girl shakes her head no, "That's good."
"Can we go home, mommy? I don't like it here."
Felicia bites her lips, "Umm…Sweetie right now that's going to be extremely difficult. Mommy needs to do a job for these men. Can you be a good girl for Mr. Fisk?"
"Hm-hmm…he gave me a puppy!" She says with glee
It wasn't farfetched to hear Fisk doing something like this, it was all an act to cover all the atrocities that he has committed over the years. She once again rubbed the little puppy's head; the small animal nuzzles and licks her gloved hand.
"Take care of it."
"Mr. Cuddles is his name!"
"Alright, Mr. Cuddles then." She kisses her forehead, "Go back to sleep, ok honey?"
"Night mommy."
"Good night sweetheart."
Once they were done and outside with the lights off Felicia bangs her head on the side of the wall. She really wanted to scream to the heavens. She needs to think of a plan to get her daughter out of here but how?
Lorina places a hand on her shoulder, the young mother looks back distraught, she embraces her strawberry companion. The said woman is a bit baffled or rather caught off guard by the gesture, she isn't used to seeing Felicia like this, usually, she is confident in her abilities and who she is as a person just this is very surreal.
Awkwardly, she pats her back. She feels Felicia grab the back of her head as she whispers, "Thanks for being there for her." She is let go as she watches the retreating back of the Black Cat, perhaps her time with Spider-Man mellowed her out was a good thing, after all, she thinks.
China Town
Spider-Man dodges another spear thrown at him, Kraven was relentless in his pursuit to have the head of the wall-crawler. They grappled a few times with Spider-Man being thrown off Kraven at times and sometimes it was Kraven who was thrown off. Though one thing puzzled the hunter, the dart that he sent to Spider-Man wasn't taking effect, not that he did mind a challenge, but he spent some time creating that dart.
"Let me ask Man-Spider, do you not feel yourself losing the senses? Do you feel the swaying sensation of nausea settling in?"
"No, not really." Spidey landed cat style on an A/C unit glaring at Kraven, "What? Didn't get the memo? Spider-Man is new and improved…"
"Bah, changing your suit from red and blue to black isn't something I call improving more like going to your death!" He states twirling the dagger
"…".
Spidey pounces on Kraven yet the hunter dodges him. Grabbing the hero by the ankle he twirls the hero to a metal pole of a tank. Spidey grunts in pain as the symbiote absorbs some of the blow to cushion him. Spidey gets up with a hand on his head, he sees the mad hunter pulling a potion out of his sack.
"Great…"
Silk meanwhile was seeing spots in her vision, she tries to get up, yet nausea just gets to her causing her to collapse. Cold sweat pours down her forehead, she could feel her body on fire as it tries to fight off the foreign substance from within. She was too weak to do anything, she is breathing heavy going in and out of consciousness but still fights to stay awake to see who is winning.
She watches as Spidey is thrown off of Kraven before he is grabbed by his ankle and slammed to the ground with force twice. Spider-Man then kicks Kraven in the stomach following it up with a web line zipping to him with another double kick to the gut causing the mad hunter to fall once again. Just as she tries to get up, she loses the fight to stay awake and falls to the ground with a thud her vision blacking out.
Spider-Man has Kraven up against the wall ready to deliver a punch to the face when suddenly a sharp pain in the back of his skull.
"AHH!" Spider-Man clutches his head in agony this allowed the hunter to punch the wall-crawler then toss him aside.
Groaning he sits up clutching his head with his right hand, his senses were foggy, this was not normal. Then his spider-senses tingle, he springs just as Kraven plunges the machete down the ground. The weapon is engrained into the ground creating cracks on the ground of the rooftop.
Peter looks to where Cindy is lying, "Silk!"
He rushes to her.
Gently lifting her upper body, she gives a weak moan, willing the symbiote to part, his naked hand feels the cold sweat pouring. Her clammy skin was alarming and her rate as he checks her pulse was rapid.
He grits his teeth, it was bad enough that his so-called sister was in the hospital, he'll be damned if allowed another incident like that happens again. He gently tucks a loose strand of hair behind her ear, "Hold on Cindy."
He picks her bridal style then faces Kraven, the man laughs, "So Lady Spider is affected by my poison; strange that you are not."
"Where's the antidote!"
The man chuckles again, he pulls a vile out of his pouch, "Right here! You want it? You will have to fight me for it. You better hurry hero, I don't think Lady Spider will last long if you don't hurry."
Before he puts the vile away a symbiote tendril snatches the antidote from the crazed hunter's hand. Kraven is stunned by the sudden whip it felt like it too, he massages his hand glaring daggers at the hero. He watches as he gives the liquid to the girl, she lets out a pained gasped then pass out.
Spider-Man sits her in front of the wall as she stirs awake, "Ugh…what hit me?"
"Sit tight Silk and don't move too much, let the antidote do its job, I'll fill you in later." Spider-Man now turns his attention towards the crazed hunter
"Bah! That was supposed to be the prize if you could have defeated me! You have no sense of honor in combat!"
"Honor?!" He pointed his finger accusingly at the man, "Stop talking like your King Arthur! You talk about honor but trying to sedate me with poison is the least honorable thing you have done. Honor is adherence to what is right or to a conventional standard of conduct. You show no such quality."
"You will never understand what I do! You are the ultimate game Spider and when I am done with you, I will take your lady friend to my employers and maybe to have to keep as my own for personal time."
Peter stiffens, as his fist cracks; "Over my dead body."
"That can be arranged."
Spider-Man begins his onslaught as Kraven downs a potion, he tackles Kraven to the ground as he begins his flurry of punches to his face. Kraven grabs his fist and twists it away before backhanded Spider-Man.
Kraven handsprings up to his feet pulling out several daggers; he flings them to the wall-crawler unable to land a hit as he sees that the costume catches them midflight. Kraven is taken aback by this new ability, he has no time to ponder as he sees the hero launches himself at him.
Kraven is ready then kicks him out of this way yet Spidey twirls and somersaults overhead and lands gracefully on his feet.
Spider-senses tingle again and Kraven now pounces on him with more daggers in hand, he goes in swiping across his chest, and plunges in on the ground. He follows up with a series of swipes as Spidey dodges by flipping backward, he is pushed towards the edge, and seeing that he at the rooftop, Spider-Man quickly fires two web lines stripping the daggers from the hunter's hand.
Kraven snarls as he tackles the hero off the rooftop.
"Spider-Man!" Silk despite her head pounding quickly goes to the edge she watches as Spidey swings from building to building in an attempt to shake Kraven off.
"You cannot shake me Spider! I have the strength of 10 lions!"
"Oh yeah?" Tendrils shot causing an explosion to ensure, Spidey ensnares Kraven in a net of webbing
Kraven is amazed, "Ha, ha, ha, AHAHAHA! Truly magnificent! You are much more of a challenge than I give you credit for Spider!"
"Who sent you after me?!"
"Very well, you've earned that right to know!" His thick accent hums. He pulls another dagger out cutting the webbing landing on another rooftop, Spider-Man joins in as they both circle each other, "They are called the Life Foundation, I know not what they do. Only they told me to bring you in considering your suit. I must admit Man-Spider it is truly a wonder in what it does."
"I got newsflash jungle freak! Nobody is taking my suit away for weird experimentation." Spider fires a tendril smacking the hunter across the face then he uses another tendril tying his feet together before slamming him down multiple times on the rooftop.
He twirls him in midair for a few seconds before allowing him to be crashed into a wall. Spider-Man webs his hands and torso to the wall sticking him in place, "No! This can be happening again to Sergei Kravinoff!"
Spider-Man fires web line, "Oh…Kraven off…"
"We will meet again Spider! This I swear!"
He leaves to find Silk, the said girl allows the gentle breeze to sway her hair, the wallcrawler sneaks up on her before lifting her up twirling her around. The girl gives a small, 'eep.
"How are you feeling?"
"Like crap, but I'll manage."
"I need you to go home and take the rest of the night off."
"What!" Silk looks at him with disbelief on her face, "You can't be serious right now! Just because some the guy got the drop on me doesn't mean I am this damsel in distress or need to be told what to do! You can't just send me home; you are not my dad!"
Now Peter narrowed his eyes a bit, clearly, this girl thinks that Kraven was no joke, "Silk, I will not tolerate your insubordination." His tone cool and firm, "You are going home and that is that. Kraven is one of many deadly enemies in my rouge's gallery who can even match me at times, even with his potions and tricks. I was taking it easy on him this time but next, I'm not sure if that is going to be the case. The dart he hit you with was poisoned. The antidote will work effectively if you rest."
"I will not!"
Moments later, Silk is struggling to be free from her webbing restraints, as she is carried by Spidey as he swings to the nearest subway. Silk underestimated the webbing, so she huffed in annoyance that her boyfriend is treating her like a little girl. Did he not have faith in her that she could take care of herself?
"It's not that I don't have faith in you," He says, "As your mentor, I'm trying to look out for you Cindy. I've been doing a gig this way longer than you have, you are just starting, I'm going to drop you off at the nearest subway and you are taking the train back to the penthouse and I don't want you to do anything drastic once I turn my back. So, help me, Cindy, if you do, I will drag you back to the penthouse kicking and screaming."
The Asian looks at him, she uses the bond link between them, he's angry with her. They were silent after a few moments. Once they settled in an alleyway, he settles her down as he breaks the webbing off her wrist and ankles. Silk rubs her wrists glaring daggers at him, he pulls out some money from his suit pocket handing it over to her.
"Go home. We'll discuss your attitude at a later point in time." The girl huffs muttering 'I just want to help' as she swipes the money to the subway. Spider-Man shakes his head watching her disappear in the subway below, he gave her directions on which trains to take to reach the Finical District.
"Women. Stubborn creatures, aren't they?" Symbian says intrigued by the later outburst towards his host, "One of the universe's greatest mysteries."
"You can say that again." Spidey sighs, "Let just get going, we have a date with King Pin."
It was another 30 minutes until he reached Fisk Industries, he lands on the rooftop surveying the surroundings. Nothing was amiss or so he thought he walks towards the entrance, "The headquarters of the fattest man in town. You think he lay off all the cookies he's been eating." He looks then spots a helicopter that looks…like…a…bunny…?
His Spider-senses tingle as the elevator of the tower opens to reveal Hippo charging him, he jumps out of the way to avoid being hit, "Hey I didn't know ice cream man was around! Take it easy you'll get your ice cream later!"
"Spider-Man!"
Peter freezes, slowly his head turns to find the last person he wanted to see. Gazing into her clear lens that is over her eyes, in disbelief he says, "C-cat?!"
Slapping her head Felicia groans, banging her head on the side of the elevator entrance, "Above all the nights he chooses to pick… it just HAD to be this night! Why? Just why?!"
Panda-Mania cracks her knuckles, "Shall I break his legs? I always wanted to kill the spider."
Spidey lost for words felt a familiar tingling in the back of his head, Hippo charges him again in hopes to squish him. Without warning Hippo is lifted into the air then thrown towards the group, the Syndicate scatters as the humanoid man makes a dent in the elevator shaft.
The girl in the panda suit roars to charge him but is stopped by Gypsy on Cat's command, "The rest of you lot go ahead of me into the Rabbit copter I'll catch up with lot later. Make sure you hit the Maggia hard!"
She races off towards the edge of Fisk tower, she pauses briefly address her Ex, "You can stop me, or you can stop them, but you can't do both."
She jumps off the building leaving Spidey in quite the conundrum. He looks at the helicopter then at Felicia retreating back. He needed answers as to why Felicia was working for King Pin. Sometimes Peter hated being the good guy, "Hey Crazy lady do not try to pretend that I'm not talking to you!"
From within the copter, Lorina watches as Spider-Man chases after Cat. She blinks shaking her head; 'I hope you know what you are doing Felicia.'
The Syndicate takes off to their first location of locating the Maggie family.
Black Cat leads Spider-Man in a wild goose chase across the city, her Ex was keeping pace with her. She grits her teeth, 'Damn that suit of his! I forgot that it enhances Spider's speed and agility beyond what he capable of.'
"Felicia please just stop; I want to talk!"
"There's nothing to talk about." She responds soaring the air, she pauses on a building, Spider was one building away from her, "Shouldn't you be helping an old lady across the street?"
"Pfft, I already got the Merit badge."
She continues forward, as Spidey nearly catches her by the ankle, she flips over him, "Back off you are crowding me!"
"Will you just stop!"
"Make me!"
She heard his growl; she smirks she loves pushing his buttons. She fires her grappling hook to another building in Midtown, she swings with her Ex in tow.
"I see King Pin upgraded your suit! What did he promise you, Felicia?" He yells at her
"You wouldn't understand!" She yells back
"Then help me to understand! We used to work together so well, why don't you trust me?"
Felicia demeanor fell as she raced across the night on a rooftop, she did trust him more than anything. Right now, she couldn't face him with the truth, it wasn't time yet, "That's the problem Spider we 'used' to not anymore!"
"Okay, Felicia I had enough of this chase!"
She felt the impact of webbing entrapping her arms pinning them to her body, "Hey! Why are you webbing me for?!"
"You brought this upon yourself!" More webbing, Spidey slows her down to the point where she is struggling against her restraints, "I just want to talk!"
Acting fast Black Cat uses her claws to quickly tear through the webs just as Spider-Man tackles her to the ground. They roll until Cat kicks him off her, "Get off me!"
Spidey nearly flies off the building, but he spins a line landing in cat style on it huffing, Felicia isn't fairing any better. She turns her back on him clutching her face in fury before jumping off onto another building with a water tank.
Spidey follows, Cat is supporting herself beside the water tank.
Carefully, he makes his way towards her, placing his hand on her shoulder he says, "You okay? I told you to lay off."
With sudden fury Black Cat lashes out at him swiping at him, Spidey dodges three strikes, a sucker punch, a right hook, and a left hook. He handsprings backward then kick Cat off the building, realizing his mistake he quickly runs after her, "CAT!"
He fires two web lines and pulls himself towards her as she freefalls to the streets below, he catches then Bungy upward swinging through the air. Felicia comes around shaking her head, she sees Peter then slaps him across the face before she springs off him.
"Felica!" He growls, "What now!"
Once again Spidey chases after her, he needed answers. Too many thoughts race across his mind as he spots her climbing up a skyscraper, he lands on the side proceeding to climb upward. When he reaches the top he scans the rooftop for his ex-girlfriend.
"Felica are you here?" He says worriedly, "Here kitty, kitty…"
"I'm right you moron!"
Spidey spins around, Felicia was sitting on the vent with her knees to her chest, not a good sign. Peter knows whenever Felicia gets like that it usually means trouble or something bad was happening to her.
"Is everything ok?" He carefully approaches her; she refuses to meet his eyes "I'm not sure what's going on."
"Look I'm a screw up okay!" She burst
"You think?" Peter responds sarcastically, "You do a job for King Pin, lead me a wild goose chase and partner up with villains that I never knew existed save for White Rabbit…what do you expect."
She abruptly gets up on the defensive in his face, she shuts off her communication device. This conversation was going to be private; "I was working from the inside, okay! I'm in way over my head and I can't get out of it! Then you show up and I get his huge rush from seeing you!"
"Wait what? What are you talking about?"
She spins on her heels facing him again, "I was doing this for you! I want you to see that we are made for each other!"
"Oh…" Peter is stunned
'I think that this will be a love triangle between that Cindy girl and your ex.'
'Oh, dear mercy, I don't need that now!' Peter clears his throat, "I'm-I'm sorry I didn't know…"
"Oh, stop being so naïve Peter, I still love you!" Felica states kissing him fiercely, "For the first time in 4 years we see each other, and you kiss me, means that you still harbor feelings for me despite you being with another woman!"
Peter's eyes narrow, "That ship has sailed Felicia, you made sure of it. Cindy and I are taking things slow to see where these feelings lead."
"Oh really?" That was a challenge, "Then you don't mind if I do this!"
She kisses him on the mouth of the mask, and he responds deepening the kiss, mentally she smirks. He still hasn't gotten over her she could feel it, then he pulls away. Felicia is confused, "Why did you stop?"
"This is wrong I will not do this behind her back, especially not what you did all those years ago."
Felicia couldn't believe her ears "You just won't let it go."
"I wasn't the one who said, 'I love Spider-Man', we could have been together Felicia. You, me, and our child."
Felicia paled at the mention of the word child, her blood freezes, did he know? How could he have known? She was too careful in allowing to him gain that knowledge.
LXD: Nice place to stop no? So sorry for the delay but given my job and renovation in my home I didn't have the time to update the way I wanted to plus it was very hard to get to a quiet place to concentrate among other things. I am a little behind schedule so I will update one more chapter for this story before I focus my attention on my other story which I have 6 more chapters to do. NOnormal99: Hmm…well it comes as no surprise that Peter has dated multiple women then again given who has the creative rights to him they can do whatever they want but Marvel wants to keep their golden boy from being stable unless he's with Mary Jane -_-. Now I didn't know DC even had a universe like…poor Superman…anyway, though the evil Peter Parker does give an idea later done the line so thank you for bringing that up.

No, I don't plan on including Firestar or Iceman like that, they'll probably side character who teams up with Spidey on occasion and when I look at Bobby, I feel it was very unnecessary to do such a thing to him when in comics he hasn't shown any interest in the same gender and with Jean manipulating him as well, it left a sour taste in my mouth. So I don't know though I do admit it would make a funny scene and awkward scene…4. Official pairing you'll have to wait on because I have an idea what I am going to do with Cindy and Felicia
kaffeenator666: Yes sir, given the fight scenes were indeed inspired by some Spider-Man games and it will continue, or it could be some from Tv shows. Well, when you work under King Pin you will know what is going on, Cletus and Spidey Clashing in the past? Who knows…Ashley is really underestimating her opponent, even with Scream I feel like she going to get it. Don't feel bad about not knowing who is who. XD Spider-sense is the most broken thing ever yes, I agree. I had to rewrite that section when Peter and Cindy are relaxing tweaking it a bit. Anyway thanks for the comment
PS: I think Knull is the most OP supervillain any Marvel character has faced which is very unfair.
