Pokemon Story: A Normal Journey
~Ash takes a research trip to Alola to investigate the Regional Variants. Intrigued by the Island Challenge he sets out to explore a brand-new region while growing up as a trainer and as a person along the way. Fortunately for him, there is no prophecy or duty for him. That's the other kid's job…~
~Ten 10~
"You are worthy, Ash Ketchum! And so, I declare that you passed Melemele Island's Grand Trial!" Hala declares as he hand Ash a brown Z-Crystal "This is a Fightium Z, it will allow you to transform any offensive Fighting Move into the Z-Move All out Pummelling"
Ash looks to the sky from the place he's resting. Green surrounded him from the sheer quantity of grass. He raises his hand holding a brownish-orange crystal, a Fightium Z.
It has been two days since he beat Hala and he used that time to rest with his Pokemon.
The first day was spent resting, letting his Pokemon recover from the battle.
The next one, Hawlucha went back to the lab with the promise for more battle in the future, something the Wrestling Pokemon accepted.
After that, Ash travelled to Hau'oli City to do some research about Alolan Variants, finding some Alolan Grimer in the alleys.
Ash approached them and, with Rotom's help for translations, asked them some questions about their likes, habitat and their powers.
The Grimer were a bit apprehensive about Ash but that quickly changed when the Kantonian trainer offered some Malasada in exchange.
What Ash learned, he compiled later on the Pokemon Center computer for Professor Oak to read.
It was there that Ash was found sitting in a public computer.
"Ash Ketchum! Luck of mine to find you here!"
Ash turns around and smiles at Hala's approaching figure "Hala! How are you doing?"
"I'm doing well, fortunately I found you around here! You move between Iki Town and Hau'oli too much for my taste!" The man invites himself to sit by Ash "I came here to check on one of my Pokemon"
"Oh? One of those I battled?" Ash questions, not knowing if one of Hala's Pokemon was injured so much it needed to stay so long in the Pokemon Center.
"I'm afraid not, it's one of my older Pokemon" Hala motions towards Nurse Joy's desk, the nurse walking towards them with a horde of six strange looking Pokemon "There you are Falinks! Have you recovered?"
The six Pokemon reply as one with a cheerful cry "Fa!"
"I thought so" Hala grins and pats the Pokemon "Thank you Nurse Joy"
"The pleasure is mine Hala" The nurse bows to them and walks away. Hala turns to Ash with a wry grin "This old guy managed to injure himself while training a few weeks ago"
"I need to add that Pokemon to my list!" Rotom zooms out of Ash's bag and scans Falinks "Falinks, The Formation Pokemon: Fighting Type - The six of them work together as one Pokémon. Teamwork is also their battle strategy, and they constantly change their formation as they fight"
"Wait those six Pokemon are Falinks?!" Ash turns to looks each Pokemon realizing they were actually one.
"Quite right, Falinks is one of my oldest Pokemon, the reason why each of the troops get injured quite easily nowadays. Nevertheless, I was training Falinks to confront you, but due to its injury I had to call my other old friend, Crabominable"
Ash had to raise an eyebrow at that "If Crabominable is so strong… how strong is Falinks?"
"You'll have to see one day!" Hala laughs while Falinks turns to play with Pikachu and Rowlet "Now that everything's taken care off, I have a little adventure planned for you today if you're free"
That picked Ash's interest "I was just finishing with Professor Oak's report"
"Perfect! I want you to meet me around two in Ten Carat Hill. It's not far from here and it will be very rewarding" Hala stands up and starts walking away "See you there, young Ash!"
Ash was curious about Hala's request and he wanted to go immediately, but one look at the clock told him he was running tight with time for one meeting.
But before he could meet up with Hala, he had to visit the Marina. Lisia was leaving towards Akala Island, needing to prepare for the worldwide event.
"Ash! I thought you weren't coming to see me off!" Lisia smiles at Ash, her Pikachu dangling from her shoulder.
"I wouldn't miss it!" Ash approaches her, his smile mirroring hers "How long do you have before the boat leaves?"
"Fifteen minutes you dumbass!" Lisia frowns at him "I thought you forgot, truly!"
"Sorry, I got lost talking with Hala" Ash grins sheepishly "He was telling me of a place to see with him later today"
"Oh? Have I heard of it?"
"Ten Carat Hill"
Lisia frowns at that "It's a very wild area, I didn't go that far honestly, but I heard of it! There's an urban myth that a very powerful Pokemon inhabits the area! I wouldn't know, but maybe that's what Hala's talking about!"
Ash had stars in his eyes by now "A strong Pokemon! I wanna battle it!"
Lisia laughs at him, while Ash joins soon after "It's so cute how you go into that battle fan mode!"
Ash scratches his cheek in embarrassment "Don't say things like that!"
"Aw did I make little Ash Ketchum blush!?" Lisia's grin grows teasing, much like the ones Misty had when mocking him "What are you going to do? Battle me?"
Ash growls at her before a daring smirk graces his face "What will Keith say to that!?"
Lisia takes a step back at that, a sweat drop rolling down her face "…and you seemed so dense…"
"I choose to ignore those kind of things" Ash shrugs a bit "It's not like I'm not interested, it's just impractical while travelling. It's usually my Pokemon and my friends" Ash smiles at her "It's not like I'll settle as well!"
Lisia shakes her head in exasperation "I don't get boys honestly"
"I don't get girls" Ash laughs a bit at that "But I guess it's fine!"
A horn is heard, followed by the announcement of Lisia's ship "I guess this is it"
"Yeah, but I'll see you in Akala at the contest extraordinaire!"
"Yeah, there's that" Lisia smiles and hugs him "I kind of got accustomed to travelling with someone these days!"
Ash hugs her back and quickly pulls back "Hey maybe one day we'll travel through a whole region!"
"I won't be added to the 'Ash's female travelling companions' list just like that!" Lisia turns to walk away and looks over her shoulders "See you later Ash!"
"See ya Lisia!"
As her ship disappeared in the horizon, Ash walked toward the outskirts of the city, not before making a quick stop in the Poke Mart.

Close to Kukui's house, there was a secluded area where Hala intended to train with him, Ten Carat Hill. Well, Hala didn't say train, but Ash expected that at least!
By his side, Rowlet rested pleasantly while Pikachu ran along the patches of grass, with some Pokemon from the hill.
Pikachu ran with Pokemon like Roggenrola, Carbink, Mawile, Machop, Spinda and a Pokemon that Ash would later learn from Rotom that's called Rockruff.
The day was clear of any clouds and the calm he felt in this place far surpassed anything he ever experienced.
Alola was different to other regions in that sense, the peace here was like no other.
Just as he was about to drift away into a peaceful slumber, Hala made himself known by landing with a Charizard of all Pokemon.
"Wow! I didn't know you had a Charizard!" Ash exclaims as he gets up and pats the Fire Type Starter.
"I don't" Hala says as Charizard vanishes in a show of lights into a black transmitter "This is Poke Ride, you might have seen one around here"
It was true; Ash saw that many people in Alola travelled with Pokemon. Be it by water with a Lapras or by ground with a Tauros.
"How does Poke Ride work?"
"Pokemon are in a special facility where they are connected to a teleport system, not unlike the one we use with video calls" Hala explains earnestly while showing Ash the rectangular device used to call those Pokemon "Few people have access to this system as is in testing phase. One of the reasons for coming here is to give you one of them"
Ash receives the Ride Pager and smiles gratefully "Thanks Hala, you're helping me a bunch with this"
"Not at all" Hala laughs heartily "Also I connected your pager to Samuel Oak's ranch"
"What!?" Ash looks excited at the prospect "Then that means that…"
"Try it!"
Ash nods and looks down at the pager, choosing the Glide option.
In a burst of light, a Charizard came out, bigger than the one Hala flew into Ten Carat Hill.
The Charizard roared to the sky, releasing a stream of fire as he did. The Fire Lizard Pokemon looks down and sees the smiling face of his trainer.
Ash approaches Charizard and hugs him tightly "Hey bud, long time no see"
"Char!" Charizard nods as he gives into the hug.
But old traditions die hard, as when they separated; Charizard bathed Ash in fire, leaving a charred Kantonian trainer.
"Y-your fire is strong as ever…"

After reunions were over, Charizard went back to Oak's lab.
"Pokemon called by Ride Pager cannot battle. This is done to eliminate the possibility of trainer abusing it by having access to more than six Pokemon at a certain time" Hala explains seriously while he sat cross legged on the grass "If you want to use one of the Pokemon from the Ride Pager, you'll need to talk to Samuel"
Ash sat in front of the old man, Pikachu sitting by him while Rowlet rested on his lap.
"Anyway, that's all there is to that" Hala tells the Kantonian Trainer "But there is another reason I wanted you to come here"
Ash leans forward ready to start.
"In this area there is, somewhere, hiding a Z-Crystal that has no Trial Captain to guide you" Hala reveals to Ash "As you seem intent on travelling while training younger Pokemon, I decided to give you a little push in the right direction"
"A Z-Crystal? Here!?"
"That's correct" Hala nods, amused by the trainer's enthusiasm "Once upon a time, there was a Trial Captain who manned this trial, but he grew up and turned into a Pokemon Professor"
"Kukui was a Trial Captain!?" Ash asks, surprised by this new bit of information "I didn't see that coming!"
"Yes, he was a very good Trial Captain… back when those two caused too much mischief for their own good…" Hala muses in reminiscence "I'm getting out of track. You should find this crystal and to do that, you will need to befriend a Pokemon from this area"
Ash stands up, with Rowlet still in his hands "We'll do it, Hala. Next time we see, I'll have a new Crystal on my Z-Ring"
Hala eyes Ash's Fightium Z on his ring and smiles "I'll be waiting by Iki Town then…"
With that the Kahuna calls for his Charizard and flies away.
Ash looks at Rowlet and Pikachu with a smile "Ready guys?"
"Pika!"
"Rooooooh…"

"Big sis! He's in here!"
Big Sis looks at the cave with a smirk "This will be easy…"
This isn't going to be easy. The calibre of the battle she saw yesterday was not something to scoff at. But it was her job to put the guy on his place, she would get it done.
"You guys leave the area. I'm taking care of everything"
"Right Sis!"
"You can do it!"
The grunts walked away and left the young woman to her own thoughts… 'This should be easy… right?'

"Pika!"
The Pokemon that Pikachu was talking quickly turned from friendly to guarded "Chop!"
The Machop walks away, leaving a confused Ash and Pikachu.
It has been an hour of Ash trying to speak with Pokemon about the Z-Crystal. They all simply walked away, as if knowing the obstacle that Hala set for him.
"We're out of luck, huh?" Ash muses as he sees Rowlet flying down to him.
"Roh!" Rowlet calls out cheerfully "Let! Rowlet!"
"You had some luck?" Ash turns to Rowlet, surprised by this "Let's go then!"
Ash ran with Pikachu while Rowlet flew in front of him "Pika!"
"Roh!"
They arrive to the entrance of a cave were one single Pokemon stood.
It was a brown dog-like Pokemon, from what Ash could make out.
"Rotom, please!" Ash calls out for the possessed Pokedex.
"On it!" Rotom flies in front of the Pokemon, who tilts its head to the side "Rockruff – Rock Type: As they develop, their disposition grows more violent and aggressive. Many Trainers find them too much to handle and abandon them"
"Oh you poor thing! Is that true!?" Ash kneels by the Puppy Pokemon and scratches his head.
Rockruff whined at the description but it quickly turned into a yipping as Ash scratched his head "Ruff!"
"Ah you like that?" Ash smirks as he uses both hands to scratch the happy Pokemon.
"Ruff!" Rockruff jumps in excitement and rubs his neck against Ash's face.
"Wait that hurts! Haha!" Ash tries to pry away the affectionate Pokemon.
Rockruff eventually pulled back and looked at Ash with expectant eyes.
"Can you take us to the Z-Crystal?" Ash asks and sees that the Puppy Pokémon's expression turns reserved.
"Ruff…"
"What is it saying?" Ash asks Rotom who floats lazily behind him.
"She's saying that it can't"
"You're a girl?"
Pikachu slaps his face in annoyance… 'Way to go, Ash…'
"So you can't…" Ash muses as he looks around "Then we'll need someone else to help us"
"Looking for some help?"
Ash jumps at the new voice and turns around to see a young woman sitting on a rock.
The young woman seems to like black, as her pants and top were of that color. The thing is that her hair was what caught his attention. She looked at him, a calculative gaze falling upon Ash.
'Pink and Yellow? What the…' Ash straightens at seeing her and asks "Who are you?"
"Me? I'm Plumeria" Plumeria says, eyes narrowed, before a smirk blooms "I heard what you did"
"What did I do?" Ash scratches his head in thought "Doing the trials?"
"Not that" The young woman stands up and walks to Ash "I hear that you tattled about my idiotic bros to Officer Jenny"
Now Ash takes a step back, her appearance making sense "You… You're Team Skull"
"I'm not Team Skull" The woman chuckles at his words "I'm in Team Skull, there's your difference"
"So you want revenge?" Ash gives Pikachu a side glance, seeing the Pokemon ready to fight should he need it.
"Not exactly, I could care less about those idiots" Plumeria tells honestly as she pulls out a Pokeball "But there is a sense of unity in what we do, you see. So if you mess with them, you mess with all of us"
"I see" Ash says out loud, pulling Rowlet and Rockruff behind him "Pikachu step forward"
"Pika"
"Those guys wanted to steal my Pokemon" Ash tells her, a frown marring his face "I'm telling you, I don't like people like you. Doing whatever you want, thinking you can get away with it. Everything has consequences and those guys had it when Officer Jenny threw them at Nanu"
Plumeria laughs lightly "Good thing they escaped before that" She throws her Pokeball and from it comes a black lizard Pokemon "Nanu would have put em through a world of pain, but I don't like what you're assuming about me n' my bros" Here a frowns sets on her face "Salazzle, battlefront!"
"Rotom" Ash mutters under his breath.
"Salazzle, The Toxic Lizard Pokemon – Fire/Poison Type: Salazzle lives deep in caves and forces the Salandit it has attracted with its pheromones to serve it"
"Fire and Poison type? Better be careful, Pikachu" Ash calls out "Start with Quick Attack!"
"Fire Burst, keep it away"
"Pikachu dodge it!"
Pikachu jumps upwards and avoids the fiery attack.
"Now follow with Electroball!"
"Pika!" Pikachu spins as he shots a ball of electricity.
"Salazzle counter with Flame Burst!"
Both techniques clash and explode, clouding the trainers from the battle.
"Pikachu break through with Quick Attack!"
Plumeria smirks at Ash's call "Too predictable! Salazzle use Toxic all around you!"
Salazzle's tail drips a violet liquid that she starts spreading all around her.
"Pikachu watch out!" Ash calls out, alarmed at this. Pikachu was already mid jump toward the poisonous liquid, as he could not see it, when Ash came with an idea "Stand on Iron Tail!"
Pikachu nods and plants his white tail in the liquid "Pika!"
"Good job Pikachu!" Ash cheers but stops upon seeing Plumeria's smirk, making him falter "What…?"
He was already seeing what made her so confident. Pikachu's tail was slowly being turned into purple, and soon enough, the Mouse Pokemon fell ill towards the liquid, bathing in the poison.
"How? Pikachu's Iron Tail should keep the poison away!"
"It's simple!" She smirks, condescension dripping from her voice "Salazzle's ability is Corrosion, meaning it can poison any Pokemon, regardless of typing!"
"No way!" Ash curses under his breath.
Pikachu by his part, tried to get up from the poison but fell over and over, energy leaving him.
"Okay, you got me where you wanted. What do you want?" Ash finally concedes.
"I don't have you where I want" Plumeria tells him, a serious expression overtaking her confident nature "If I had my way, you would be six feet under, Ash Ketchum. You are what's wrong with this society, always following word of voice, thinking you know what's right and not… I'm disgusted by seeing you!" She finally shouts out "But it's not my place to do that! Oh no, the pleasure will be by our Boss. Guzma will put Alola in its place soon enough, and I want you to see it"
Ash frowns at her words 'I'm what's wrong with this society!? What the hell is she even spewing!?'
"Salazzle, return!" She points a Pokeball towards Salazzle and turns to leave "Better give me a challenge next time, Ketchum!"
Ash looks at Pikachu and then to the poison surrounding him. He pulls out his shirt and runs toward the poison, pulling Pikachu into the cloth "Are you holding there, Pikachu?"
"Pi…" Pikachu calls out, feeling weak. Rowlet and Rockruff approach Pikachu and stare worriedly at the Electric Type Pokemon.
"Don't worry, I've got a Lum Berry here" Ash give Pikachu the berry.
Pikachu's poisoned state decreases notably and soon, the Pokemon was resting peacefully.
Plumeria, who watched Ash's actions, couldn't help but wonder 'Why didn't he recall his Pokemon with a Pokeball?' Her thoughts were interrupted when a head splitting screech was heard through the hollowed area of Ten Carat Hill "The hell is that!?"
"I don't know!" Ash tries to cover his ears with no success "It comes from the sky"
Both look at the sky and see as the sky tears apart.
"What the hell is that!?" Ash screams as the screech keeps rumbling on their heads "The sky is broken or something!"
The screech increases as hand punches a hole in the sky. The Black Hand tries to pry the hole open, but fails as a discharge of electricity overloads the hole and it closes away, ending the screech.
"My ears!" Plumeria curses loudly, holding her ears tenderly "That shit stain almost blew my ears away!"
Ash was in the same boat as her. He looks at the Pokemon, and Pikachu was still unconscious, but Rowlet and Rockruff felt the worst of it. Rowlet stood still, eyes wide open while Rockruff lay sideways, trembling from time to time.
"I don't know what the hell that was, but I'm outta here" Plumeria makes to leave the premise, but falls to the ground feeling nauseous "Ugh… *BLEGH*"
Ash was no better than her, but he managed to contain his vomit by staying quite in his place.
They stood there for close to ten minutes, before Ash finally manages to move without feeling like falling "I… I think it was Tapu Koko…"
"Tapu Koko punched a hole in the sky?" Plumeria asks sarcastically as she manages to sit "Yeah right, and Zekrom will fly over us"
"Wouldn't be the first time…" Ash mutters, but composes quickly "I mean that whatever was going to come… whatever the black thing was… Tapu Koko stopped it"
"No shit…" Plumeria curses as she tries to stand up, this time with more success "I'm leaving this damned island, right now"
"Wait" Ash stops her. Seeing as she stopped, he asked what was on his mind "What did you mean when-"
"Excuse me; you wouldn't happen to have seen what happened, right?" A masculine voice calls over to them.
Ash and Plumeria turn to see a strange sight…
A man and a woman, one seemingly old while the other one quite youthful.
It would have been a normal encounter, had it not been for their blue skin and futuristic white armor…
-BREAK-
Hello once again! Another chapter comes and goes and only two chapters are left in the Melemele Arc! So what do you think's going on!? Ash has an interesting talk with Hala and later he bids farewell to Lisia, not before a teasing battle ensued. Also Hala takes Ash to Ten Carat Hill for an abandoned trial.
Also Hala gives Ash a page rider to call on Pokemon to travel! And guess what, Charizard makes an appearance and will be recurring as transport from time to time! Many more Pokemon will take the spots of 'Rides' so watch out for that! (it's no spoiler saying that when Ash calls for a Tauros it will be one of his).
Finally it is revealed who Big Sis is, Plumeria obviously. No secret there haha. Her Salazzle's ability manages to surprise Ash and Pikachu pays for it! What's with this woman!?
Before she leaves though… an ear splitting sound rings through Ten Carat Hill. If you played the original Sun and Moon, then there's no secret about who it belongs.
And finally what's up with the dudes with the weird getup?
Next chapter will conclude this small arc and then the final chapter in Melemele which will be more like an interlude than an Ash focused chapter. You'll see.
Onto other matters! The travel anime did the Sword and Shield arc some justice. It was well done and proves that the games are slacking if a whole storyline can be fit in four anime chapters with little to none previous development. Sun and Moon gave us twelve episodes that more or less covered the original game and so on with the other series. Diamond and Pearl developed Team Galactic through the whole series and Best Wishes! did what it could with it's Episode N saga. Anyway, the game developers are slacking in my opinion, even if the games are geared towards kids, but oh well… it could at least let you choose your difficulty. That would be awesome.

Chimera608: Amazing chapter! I'm hoping you have hawlucha stay for awhile. Will ash's old Pokémon return and evolve? Tapu koko watching ash's grand trial was a nice touch and in canon. Also will ash catch a Pokémon soon?
Me: Thanks! Though I'm sorry to say that Hawlucha goes back to the ranch. He will come back, of course! This chapter may appease you for a bit I think! About Ash's catch? I admit it's a slow development, but it'll get there and it's worth it!
Strike Wyvern: Ayeee Hawlucha the third pokemon? Nice. and well done on Ash on winning let's see what's the aftermath of that ;D, though sad that it aint Rookidee [One of the Coolest Pokemon I've seen in Sword and Shield, second is Woolo because... Beee] I'm looking forward to who it is though something tells me it's gonna be a underrated one in the game... possibly of course.
Me: Hawlucha is such a lovable Pokemon, specially Ash's. I think GENVIII gave us some of the best designs along the worsts in the whole franchise. Rokidee and it's line is great and I love Wooloo (Would keep it as it is, don't like Dubwool). Also love Urshifu, Falinks (wink in chapter) and Frosmoth. I particularly dislike Eiscue, the fossils and Drizzile. What about you?
Erlben Cabuhat: Neat. Hawlucha is the one that came back the first, he was one of my favourite Pokemon and I had fun using it in my X playthrough plus he was one of the only decent Pokemon (besides Pikachu and Greninja) during XYZ's Kalos League that didn't get Worfed in anyway. It was intersting to make Machomp into Machoke and Hala's Crabominable shiny tho (looked it up, it was a somewhat decent shiny), making Hala somewhat more harder in the games is pretty nice, he is in-lore of the strongest trainers in the Alola Region, and Ash being a strong trainer in his own right, Hala gave it his all on him, neat! Also I think you are gonna save Ash's "The Bus Came Back" Pokemon for the big boy brawls (like the Grand Trials and The Alola League) plus it was intersting about Koko Tapu witnessing the Grand Trial thinking about the battle being a good one between two powerful trainers (Kahuna and Veteran Trainer). Also neat about your little username backstory, LOTR, you talking bout that Lord Of the Rings Franchise? if so have u watched the movies? Also QQT!: 1. Not related to the story, what is the Pokemon game that introduced you to the franchise? 2. Are the other Island kahunas gonna be as powerful as Hala? 3. Are you really that bad at making OCs and are you accepting any fan submissions? 4. Related to a previous question, what cameos are you gonna make with the sidegames (like XD, Colloseum and Stadium)? 5. Are you gonna make Ketchum catch one of the Solar/Lunar duo (either Solgaleo or Lunala)? 6. So you are gonna make an Original team, if so, what Alolan Pokemon like, native mons and regional variants are you interested in giving to Ash (like Salazzle, Komo-o and Sandslash-Alola for example) 7. Me: When I got Pokemon Y I didn't like Hawlucha as a Pokemon, but after seeing it on the anime I got to love it! In the Kalos League Hawlucha owned ass and was lucky the writers were so considerate to it. About Machoke, well Hala knew Ash would Use Rowlet and gave him a fighting chance. Crabominable Shiny is quite decent and one I found in my USUM run and couldn't catch as I ran out of balls (It was a Crabrawler). About returning Pokemon, they will certainly appears way more than in the anime, but nevertheless this is a story where I'll need to develop his team, so not all battles will be done by Ash's old Pokemon. About my nickname, yes it's the lord of the rings and I watched all the movies (including The Hobbit and read that same book. Want to buy the Silmarillion and lord or the rings books soon). Okay let's do the QQT: 1. Pokemon Blue in the Meboy emulator for java. Later I got a Gameboy Advance and played through Emerald (Best game until ORAS). 2. Some more than others, Hala is old and experienced, though not all of them! 3. Yeah and because of that I try to steer away from them unless necessary. I'm not taking fan submissions, sorry. 4. Not telling, that's a spoiler! 5. Again, that would be telling. 6. Dude that's very spoiler-y stuff you're asking! 7. blizzardblaze174: Hawlucha was the one to come back? Now I'm just face palming lol since it DOES make sense for him to come back, after all he loves battles and Hala does specialize in Fighting types. I love his character and overall personality. Nice moment with Ash working to help Rowlet overcome Machoke, and it even looked like he was going to lose that one after getting hit after hit. Overall, that was a very nice battle, and didn't end when the Z-Moves were used, but instead with skill, power, and speed and some help from the Kalos league finals as that was when Hawlucha 'bulked up.' I'm wondering why Tapu Koko has such a large interest in Ash, and even said that he would prefer to have Ash be the one to save Alola...huh. Strange. He does have experience though in saving the world multiple times from legendaries, but maybe this is Arceus cutting his Chosen One a break. Or so it seems. I get the impression Ash has something much more important - perhaps him discovering what it means to be a Pokemon Master or he's gotta handle Rainbow Rocket. Can't tell at this stage of the story but it will be interesting to see who pops up and what happens when.
Me: It's like fighting fire with fire and Ash kind of does that from time to time (Ash Vs Bea, Ash Vs Hau). About the battle, thanks! I like when Z-Moves aren't the thing that defines a battle. Ash got that out of the way pretty soon and Hala did more to the end (And to finish the electric menace). About Tapu Koko… we'll see soon! Kagayaki-sama: I've just recently obtained a new Pokémon OST via digital download, both English and Japanese. The song I like most is the 2nd version of '1 2 3' song currently used in the opening of Pokémon Journeys (JPN version). Now, onto the story. Ash's Grand Trial battle was so intense. Didn't expect Hawlucha will make a debut in this chapter and manages to learn Superpower. And Hala uses a Subzero Slammer Z-Move to his Crabominable instead of usual All-Out Pummeling Z-Move that he uses. This full battle chapter is wonderful. Just wondering if Ash will obtain a Fightinium Z in this story unlike in the anime, he obtains an Electrium Z from Tapu Koko instead. And I'm glad you fixed the issue about Pokédex entries. Keep up with that. I'm expecting more from you now that Ash cleared his first Grand Trial. I want to know more what will become of Ash next. See you in the next update.
Me: I'm actually listening to the new ost as I write this reply! It's so good! Love the Dynamax theme! About the battle! Yes God Hawlucha did it once again! Crabominable is an Ice Type as well and having battled Oak's Dragonite, it felt like it would give everyone reading a good shock! Here in this chapter is your answer! Ash will get the Electrium when he gets to Hokulani Observatory. Yeah I looked into that an some other reviewers told me that. I fixed that in future chapter I have already written, but I'll double check to be sure. This is a little show of the side story to Ash's journey in Alola, in more ways than obvious for now!
PokemonMaster898: I knew it! I knew that Ash will triumph on his first Grand Trial. That was an intense battle. The part that I like most is Hawlucha making an appearance in this story. I thought that Hawlucha will gonna lose but its a surprise that it learned Superpower. In this battle, it shows that Ash's bond with his Pokémon was so strong, that they are ready to give their best and potential at the very end no matter what. That was an amazing and intense chapter. Me: Yeah Ash triumphed in this battle! I wasn't going to delay more the inevitable! Ash is strong and it will show in the story, but he's not overpowered in any way. He'll lose eventually, but not today! Ash has an exceptional bond with Pokemon and this story will hopefully put it to challenge! Yeah! I'm surprised by the interest shown, but I'm aiming for more now!
CRAZY STORM: I was kinda busy nowadays that I haven't noticed that you have updated a new chapter. Now I'm gonna watch the last episode of Sword and Shield arc when I have a free time. As expected from you, another amazing chapter you got here. This chapter focuses on a full 3-on-3 battle, in which Ash claims the victor. I am glad that you put Hawlucha as Ash's Last Resort. I am a huge fan of Hawlucha as of nowadays. Its also a surprise that Hawlucha learned Superpower to gain victory. I like all the intense battle scenes throughout the chapter. Hawlucha was kind of like the secret weapon Ash needed here (mainly because if he caught a Pokemon from around Iki Town for the battle he would be dead).
