A/N: Apprently I overuse Christopher as the bad guy and it makes me insecure about my ship, I only have him as the bad guy in one story so I am confused but hope you enjoy this.

Chapter Thirteen

Half an hour later everyone was sat in the hospital room waiting for Lorelai to wake, no-one said much all lost in their thoughts and Lorelai blinked twice until her blue eyes fluttered open, she looked around for a few seconds.

"Where am I?" she asked confused

"You are in hospital Lorelai, you had an infection and lost a lot of blood" Emily replied. She looked around at everyone in the room until Rory couldn't take it anymore and burst into fresh tears.

"Mum we know about the assault, the doctors found evidence that you were sexually assaulted," Rory said sobbing. Lorelai looked at her a few moments before looking at the covers.

"Who was it Lorelai?" Richard asked calmly, having stopped crying before he returned to his family.

"Christopher" Lorelai whispered before she turned to Luke "I am sorry I tried so hard to tell you, I was so close but the words wouldn't come out, they just kept getting stuck" Lorelai admitted, he touched her arm and smiled slightly "Well we know now so we can deal with it," he told her.

"I am sorry," Lorelai said looking at Rory, knowing he, after all, was her father.

"It wasn't your fault it was his" Rory said

"Dad, should I go?" April now asked awkwardly thinking she might be intruding. He shook his head and beckoned her own he touched her shoulders and spoke.

"Lorelai, April, April, Lorelai, I know I should have done the introductions months ago and at a better time but I can't change the past so there you go," Luke said knowing it wasn't the right time, but there would never be a right time again, too much time had passed. Lorelai smiled at her from her pillow beckoning her head slightly as she did so.

"You are so cute," Lorelai said feeling her heart filled with happiness that finally Luke was introducing her to his beloved daughter, she knew it would take a long time to forgive him for not doing it, to begin with, but she knew, with him doing it now he was trying to start to put things right.

"Thanks, I think," she said looking at the floor and Lorelai smiled at the similarity between her and Luke, already seeing so much of her ex-lover in her, he couldn't take compliments without been embarrassed either.

"Are you in pain mum?" Rory asked. Lorelai shook her head but her eyes gave her away.

"Not too bad, it is not as bad as before," she said glumly "Do I have to report what happened?" she asked.

"Of course you do, I think they said someone is going to come talk to you soon," Richard told her. Lorelai nodded.

"Okay...I know I need to do this" Lorelai replied just as in that moment a woman walked in introducing herself as PC Jenkins.

"I need to take a report from you about what happened, it is important so we can build a case," the woman said before looking at everyone stood around.

"We will need some privacy, one of you may stay" the woman replied gently.

"I will," Rory said looking at her mum. Lorelai shook her head.

"No kid, the last thing I want you to hear are the details" Lorelai replied "Luke...stay please," she said knowing he would struggle hearing it too but he could cope better than Rory.

"Of course" he nodded as Rory kissed her cheek and left. Richard rubbed her arm and Emily touched her shoulder, not one to hug her.

"Thanks, kid, mum, dad," she said as April waved at her not knowing what else to do.

"Thank you for being here cutie" Lorelai replied, April blushed at the nickname and left. Luke laughed.

"She is funny, I am sorry, for been a jerk the last year," he told her.

"We both were," Lorelai told him as the officer walked to their side, sitting down to start on the report.

"Right so I need a description of what happened, how did it come about?" the officer asked. Luke grabbed her hand she squeezed it and played with the corner of her quilt with the other as she spoke.

"I returned home from work and went upstairs, Christopher was really mad when I went in our room, he had found a letter I had written and he was furious" Lorelai started

"What was the letter about?" the officer asked

"It was for Luke," Lorelai said glancing at him "A court reference letter, he needed it as he was fighting for custody, Luke and I had been engaged before I married Christopher, he, therefore, was not happy" Lorelai explained.

"Do your husband and Luke not get on?" the woman now asked.

"They never have" Lorelai replied shaking her head "Anyway he accused me of cheating saying I still had feelings for Luke, I denied it but he hit me, I am sad to say he had hit me a few times before so I didn't react much" Lorelai replied.

"What happened then?" the officer asked scribbling on her pad

"He grabbed me by the waist and threw me on the bed, he was convinced I was sleeping with Luke, he told me no-one can have me but him, he held my arms and put his weight on me," Lorelai said speaking quickly wanting it over with, even if she was crying silently as she spoke. Luke closed his eyes as he listened.

"I knew his intentions from his words, I told him I wasn't in the mood, my head was hurting as I had a long day at work, he told me I was his wife so he could do what he wanted, and then he had sex with me" Lorelai replied, Luke, squeezed her hand so tight she knew he was struggling not to cry.

"Thank you, if I need more details I will call in, we are going to question Christopher," The woman said as Lorelai suddenly remembered something.

"There's evidence, I kept the clothes I was wearing and the bedsheet, I hid them in a plastic bag and hid it behind the wardrobe, I knew you might need the DNA" Lorelai replied, grateful she had watched all them crime programmes.

"Good thinking, we will be in touch thank you," she said leaving as Luke kept his eyes closed, trying so hard to keep himself together.
