Chapter 10.

This chapter will cover the aftermath, and will end the main story.

Chapter 10- We can be heroes.
Earth-1, Central City.
All of the Heroes stood together when they heard slow clapping and turned to see Norman Osborn walk towards them.
"Osborn!" Jason snarled, hefting Mjolnir and charging it with lightning.
"Nice to see you too Jason." Osborn quipped as all the Heroes faced him.
"Osborn is working with Ross." Yelena growled and realization dawned on everyone, as they realized what had happened.
"Yep." Osborn shrugged.
"I shall smite you where you stand right now." Thor snarled as he raised Stormbreaker.
"Amusing. But not something I feel threatened by." Osborn shook his head.
"We know we can't kill you, but we are not letting you go so easily." Tony said to him.
"What will you do Stark? Bore me to death?" Osborn asked as Tony glared at him.
"Or I can just speed you to my own private prison where you'll never see the light of day again." Barry said.
"If you don't let me go, I will expose all of your secrets to the world. Especially yours Stark. And as for the Heroes of this Earth, I will broadcast your identities to the world." Osborn said calmly.
Everyone traded anxious looks, before they all nodded.
"What are your demands Norman?" Steve asked after a moment.
"You shall let me go, and in return I will not reveal your identities. And I shall help you expose Ross' crimes." Osborn said.
"And how shall we prove it?" Legolas asked.
"With this." Osborn said as he activated his watch and conjured some files and video recordings. "They have proof of Ross recruiting the Thunderbolts, blackmailing them, as well as attacking all of you, and preparing to launch a nuke. And it contains evidence of all of his crimes over the years, including his involvement with Abomination in Harlem."
"Are you serous?" Barry asked.
"I am. This will help you, because Ross is an idiot and not the perfect ally, and you will let me go." Osborn said.
Osborn walked to Jason and handed him all of it. "This will end Ross forever."
He then walked off, taking a reality distorter out of his pocket and opening a portal.
"I have a feeling I'll be seeing at least one or two of you down the line." He called back before entering the portal which closed behind him.
Later, Earth-199999, Ross' office.
Ross sat down on his chair in his office, wondering where he went wrong. Why couldn't people see that enhanced individuals were threats?
That was when the doors opened and in burst three cops, lead by a detective.
"How can I help you officers?" Ross asked.
"Thaddeus Ross, you are under arrest for holding people captive, blackmailing, causing damage to property and life, and being irresponsible, and I use that term loosely, with a nuke." The detective said as she walked to Ross, making him stand up while she cuffed him.
"No! This is ridiculous! What proof do you have?" Ross asked, getting angry.
"Enough to the point even your army of lawyers wont be able to help you." She said as she led him away with the other two cops. "You have the right to remain silent, anything you say can and will be used against you-"
Same time, Earth-1, S.T.A.R. Labs.
Steve, Jason, Natasha, Gandalf, Dean and Legolas stood facing Oliver who was sitting upright on a hospital bed, recovering.
"Thanks you all for helping me." Oliver said gratefully.
"It was no problem Oliver. I'm just glad we got that Symbiote off of you." Jason said with a thin smile.
"It's good to have you back." Steve said.
"Yeah." Oliver nodded in agreement.
"Where's Crowe?" Oliver then asked as all exchanged looks.
"Ross drained her of her powers. She was badly injured. She's recovering now, and she should be fine in a week." Natasha said.
Oliver looked angry at hearing that.
"We have enough evidence to make sure Ross stays behind bars." Jason said.
"Good." Oliver growled.
Few weeks later, Earth-199999, International Criminal Court.
Ross was in the defendants stand as his defense attorney spoke in his defense. "My client has never done anything of the sort that he was accused of. He was working the entire time in his office."
"You mean he was working to kill innocent people, by recruiting criminals?" Matt Murdock asked rhetorically as the opposing lawyer glared at him.
Matt then turned to the Judge. "You're Honor, the defense's case is ridiculous, all eyewitness accounts point to Mr. Ross not being in his office until a few weeks ago."
"He was! Those people are lying!" the lawyer snapped.
"Judge, we have evidence of him recruiting criminals, blackmailing as well as creating an underwater prison where enhanced individuals would be held indefinitely." Liam pointed out.
"More lies! My client has never done anything of the kind!" the lawyer snapped.
"Enough!" the Judge said, banging her gavel.
"The Court shall come to a decision after a break in Court Proceedings."
Few minutes later.
"I think this is it." Jason said to Banner, Wanda, Betty Ross, Clint, Steve, Matt, Thane (in his human form) and Liam. "Ross is going to go behind bars, and never come back."
"About time that son of a bitch faced consequences. No one will save him now." Liam said.
"Language!" Steve scolded, making Liam roll his eyes.
"Let us see what the Court decides." Matt pointed out.
Later.
Everyone sat in their places as the Judge read out her verdict.
"On account of blackmail, the Jury has found the defendant…guilty!"
All from the prosecution side started cheering as Liam and Matt smirked when the Judge slammed her gavel. "Order in the court!"
"On account of kidnapping and torture, the Jury has found the defendant…guilty!"
There was some more cheering but the gavel banging silenced them.
"On account of causing loss of life and property due to his kidnapping, the Jury has found the defendant…guilty!"
More cheering happened as Liam grinned.
"On account of misleading the court with false statements and pretexts, the Jury has found the defendant…guilty!"
All were going to clap again, but stopped on realizing that the next one was the major one.
"On account of endangering lives by unleashing a monster in a city, the Jury has found the defendant…guilty!"
All from the prosecution side cheered and laughed as Bruce and Betty hugged, and then Clint and Wanda hugged.
Ross looked down, feeling anger and hatred burning within him as two agents arrived and cuffed him, leading him away.
How could he have lost? Why could no one see that he was right? He was the good guy!
A week later, The Raft.
Ross stood, pacing around his cell, seething in anger.
"Hello Thaddeus."
Ross turned around as he saw Osborn standing in his cell, his arms folded.
"Hey, help me! Get me out of here! I helped you with your plans, right? Now please, let me out of here! I can get you whatever you want!" Ross said.
"No." Osborn refused.
"What do you mean 'no'?" Ross demanded.
"Where you're promises once were convincing, now they are anything but." Osborn said, as Ross glared at him.
"Hey! I gave you that plutonium shipment and I gave you those people for your Sinister Six!" Ross protested.
"I know. But you are a little bug. And like a bug, you will one day get stepped on." Osborn said calmly.
"I am not!" Ross snarled.
"You are. Now you can stay here and rot for all I care. I do not ally myself with stupid people." Osborn said.
"What do you mean?" Ross asked.
"You exposed your plans so easily; I'm honestly surprised no one figured it out sooner. And you are a moron for launching a nuke." Osborn said.
Ross was about to protest when he realized something, and his eyes widened in shock and realization as he glared at Osborn. "You hacked my nuke and launched it, didn't you?"
Osborn gave no response, but Ross knew it was the truth.
"You son of a bitch!" Ross snarled as he threw a punch, but Osborn caught it and delivered his own punch which knocked Ross off his feet.
"Now I am not going to let you out of here. You are going to stay here and rot. And no one is going to come looking for you." Osborn said as he gave Ross another hard kick to the face.
"I hope we never see each other again." Osborn said as he took out his reality distorter and opened a portal before walking into it, as the portal closed behind him.
Ross snarled angrily as he staggered to his feet, vowing revenge against Osborn.
Avengers Compound, a few days later.
All of the Avengers, T-Bolts, Team Flash, Team Arrow, Danvers, Courtney, Angel and the Fellowship stood outside the Compound.
"Well guys, this is goodbye." Yelena said as she and the rest of the T-Bolts were cuffed.
"Yeah, for now. I have a feeling that I'll be seeing at least one or two of you down the line." Jason shrugged.
"Yeah." Yelena said wistfully.
Natasha moved and wrapped her sister in a loving hug.
"I'll see you sis." Yelena said softly.
Natasha simply nodded as Yelena looked at the others.
"Hey." Jason called out as he walked to Yelena and hugged her, confusing her.
"Good luck. You're gonna need it." Jason whispered into her ear as he patted her on the shoulder.
Yelena and the T-Bolts were all led away into an armored truck, ready for transport to there new prison site.
"What was that about?" Natasha asked Jason.
"You'll see." Jason replied with a small smirk.
Turning to the others, Steve smiled.
"Thank you all for helping." He said as all nodded.
David walked to Courtney and Angel and handed them small devices.
"What is this?" Angel asked.
"Interdimensional extrapolators. They allow travel and communication between our Earths. So if either of you ever need any help, feel free to pop over." David explained.
"Sweet!" Courtney grinned.
"Thanks a lot." Angel nodded, shaking David's hand.
"No problem." David smirked.
David was caught off guard when Courtney tackled him in a tight hug.
"Thank you." She said.
"No problem Courtney." David smiled as they pulled away.
Courtney grinned as she opened a breach and stepped forward, Angel soon following through his own breach.
"Thanks for helping with the case Liam." Jason said, hugging his step-brother.
"No problem Jay. It was fun." Liam said.
"Well we had better head back. Thank you guys for helping." Oliver shook Steve's hand.
Opening a breach, one by one, all of the Heroes from Earth-1, Earth-21 and Earth-38 entered the breach which closed behind them.
"Until next time my good friends." Aragorn said as he hugged Steve, Natasha and Jason and shook hands with the others.
"You too Aragorn." Jason smiled.
"Farewell Jason." Gandalf smiled as he and Jason hugged.
"See you soon Gandalf." Jason smirked.
Aragorn opened another breach as he, Legolas, Gimli and Gandalf entered it.
"Well," Steve sighed. "That's a wrap for this."
Earth-1, S.T.A.R. Labs.
A breach opened and Barry, Cisco, Caitlin and Brian stepped out of it after having said goodbye to Danvers, Liam and Team Arrow.
"Hey guys!" a female voice said as all turned to see Elizabeth Braddock enter the cortex with a grin on her face.
"What did I miss?" Elizabeth asked cheerfully.
"Who wants to tell her?" Barry asked, looking around.
"Not it." Brian and Cisco said simultaneously as both walked out of the cortex as fast as they could.
Earth-199999, some time later.
The T-Bolts sat in the transport as they were transported to there prison site.
"Well this was one hell of a fight." Silver Sable commented.
"Yeah it was." Karla nodded in agreement.
"Well what happens now?" Techno asked.
"Well", Yelena started, making all look at her. "We're not stuck in here you know."
Yelena opened her mouth and produced a key, making all look at her with amazement.
"How in the world did you get that?" Rick asked.
"Jason gave it to me before we went on the road." Yelena explained.
"Remind me to thank that guy if we ever see him again." Abe said.
"Let's get out of here." Zemo said.
"And go where?" Talia asked.
"Maybe we can do what we were intended to do." Yelena spoke up.
"Which was?" Rick asked.
"Be heroes." She replied.
"Seriously?" Karla asked.
"Yes", Yelena replied.
Yelena then looked at everyone and said. "Everyday people do, everyday things but I can't be one of them. I know you guys. We are a different kind. We can do anything."
"We could be Heroes."
And with this, we finally end the main plot of this story. Next one will be the post-credits scenes.
So Osborn's evidence made sure Ross would be tried for his crimes and be found guilty. Next chapter will have Ross in it again, and I think that all will enjoy it.
I have also decided that Thane's human form will be played by Will Poulter. Thanks to jaydengail89 for the suggestion.
Hope all enjoyed the conversation between Osborn and Ross, and Osborn will return in the future.
And now the Thunderbolts have escaped, and they will become proper heroes in this.
I do intend to use Yelena, Melissa and Rick in multiple future stories, while the rest of the T-Bolts will appear in at least three more stories, one of them being Crisis on Infinite Earths where they will join the rest of the Heroes of the Multiverse.
So now with this, we end the main story at last, and I hope everyone enjoyed reading it as much as I enjoyed writing it.
